Alright, let's try this again! The following is the key stuff, please read through the old OOC if you want the full story. No character limits this time, old characters will be re-accepted with minor edits based on the changes being made to the system (Body got buffed). New characters will not be retroactively added to the group, you'll be written in as sympathetic kids who recently went through your own coming-of-age fight things who volunteered to help out

 

~Background and Previous Events Summary~

Two groups with varying opinions on how to practice the honorable art of mech wielding forced kids to choose a side at seven and then fight to earn their place in the culture. Then a third side popped up and a buncha people hopped over there, tired of the constant divide in their culture. But then they just ended up divided in three instead of two. A certain group of children containing the prodigy Victoria McKay were finally set to face off against each other but before they could finish what had become a vicious fight, they were interrupted by the powerful Watcher. He disappeared with Victoria and one of her friends, a boy named Wallace, leaving her young friends in their confusion. The young but brilliant Tobias Hartford stepped in before anyone could make any harsh reaction and calmly presented a solution: He would accompany a group of young warriors to go hunt down Watcher and bring back Victoria and Wallace. And thus we come to now, you shall play one of the children that helps Tobias bring back Victoria and Wallace. Also probably more dramatic-type stuff will happen

~Mechs~

Each character will posses a suit of battle armor, usually a humanoid not much larger than they are, unique to them (think like IS or Accel World) which is usually referred to simply as a mech. Mechs are generally created via meditation, but the new Divination System allows for them to created via artificial means

 

Speed: Pretty easy to comprehend, gives an idea of how fast you can move. Keep in mind that this is about mobility, not reflexes every mech is more or less even when it comes to the speed of their joints

 

Melee: A mech's affinity for close ranged fighting. Takes into account strength and weaponry combined, so keep in mind that a high melee mech may still be physically weak or that an unarmed mech may still be able to overpower you in melee combat. Also keep in mind that melee weapons basically just means "not guns." Weapons that are thrown or have a long reach such as knives or flails still qualify as melee

 

Firepower: How much a mech can shoot. Lasers, projectile weapons, and explosives all go under this category

 

Armor: How much of a beating a mech can take. Most mechs have all-purpose armor, but there are specialty armors which can be used to keep this rating deceptively low for certain opponents (EX: anti-projectile armor that is useless against anything else is a low rating, but a projectile only user will be in trouble) There are also forcefields for dealing with energy-based attacks such as lasers and explosives

 

Special Ability: An ability more or less unique to each mech (there's multiple people who can fly and stuff like that, but generally Tempest's residents go for more unique abilities, especially in the Plane of Pride) This ability can be used to cancel a weakness, play to your strengths, etc. A mech comes built in with an ability when a person activates it that is meant to fit that person, but the ability isn't hard to change with enough Favor.

 

Signature Attack: Much like the above, but specifically an attack. A lot of people use this as a large finishing ability, but it can more or less be anything. The only catch is that it must have specific conditions under which it can be activated, thus the common condition of, "I'm going in to finish them off."

 

~Faction Limitations~

Each of the factions has different capabilities in their mech designs, so choose wisely (the bit in brackets is how many stat points you get)

Mind[11]: Followers of the Mind gain the most control over their mech's design, allowing them to designate their points freely across all stats, but they are limited in their technology. They may use simple mechanical creations (such as primitive firearms), but cannot use computerized or energy based technology

Tech[10]: Those who use Tech have free use of technology, but may put no more than five points into any one stat

Body[6]: The followers of the body are limited to two points in Firepower, but are free with other stats. They must rely on very weak technology and may not use weapons or defenses beyond a medieval level. They do, however, get double the effective points when investing in melee (getting to 6 points in melee only costs 3 stat points) and don't have to spend stats on their signature so long as it makes physical contact

 

~Rules~

  1. Keep calm. Things won't always go your way, don't freak out
  2. No metagaming. Your characters know very little about each other outside a few gatherings of the Table, a rather uncommon occurrence
  3. Try to keep Suism to a minimum. Instead of the default "no Sues" I'm going to keep in mind that Suism is a fluid concept and that there's no line where things go from "not-Sue" to "Sue." So instead, just try to keep yoursuelf in check. I'll certainly let you know if you go overboard
  4. No godmodding, powerplaying, and etc. The other generic RP taboos. Just because I'm not going out of my way to explain them doesn't mean you should do them
  5. DANCE I mean, um, have fun and stuff

 

~Personal Traits~

The biggest issue with the TTG system has been my crappy attempts are character skills. They're just too narrow. And attempting to make a list... Was bad... So instead you can give your character a minor advantage based on their own personal abilities. You can get a stronger one if you give yourself a disadvantage that justifies this, but I'll be keeping pretty strict reins on these, don't be surprised if you get a simple, "No, that's too strong." Without any further explanation

Tesla, Stratos

Character Name: B287 "Tesla"
Gender: Female
Path: Tech
Appearance: A dark skinned girl standing a few inches taller than most her age. Her unkempt curls cascade around her face and cheeks in a mess of black locks, contrasted by eyes of a deep violet. She typically dons a pair of sleek, silver and neon orange safety goggles atop her head, alongside baggy, grey cargo shorts and an old, black T-shirt obviously a few sizes too big for her, it's collar dangling around her shoulders rather than her neck and revealing a host of scars that continue on down her back and arms in haphazard fashion. A strange code is roughly tattooed onto her right forearm, reading "B287"... Tesla recalls naught as to when exactly she got it, only that up until being found, it was the only name she had.
Mech Appearance: Tesla's Mech consists of a pair of Snow White gauntlets and boots along with similar hued armored plating. Her arms and legs are entwined with Electrical Coils which help to channel and amplify the unit's generated electricity, while a deep, luminous violet shines forth from the core located in the chest, a small viewing port revealing the crackling storm of electrical energy within. The head of the mech is a simple, ovaloid helm bearing burning eyes of the same color.
Personality: Raised most of her early days under the harsh radiance of examination lights, Tesla's past is something she can only recall in scattered memories and glimpses, perhaps a blessing in disguise, given that she's not much keen on actually trying to remember it anyway, or talk about it for that matter.
Regardless though, she feels immense gratitude towards the gruff mechanic who found her wandering near his garage and decided to let her stay, Serving as both his assistant and an apprentice in an attempt to earn her keep and prove herself useful. She has an impressive knack for tinkering with objects and a burning curiosity to match, especially towards the twin subjects of electricity and magnetism.
Unknown to anyone but herself though her life prior to his kindness is, it is nonetheless because of whatever things she saw and heard, or perhaps rather, in spite of them, that Tesla has developed a deep sense of compassion and empathy for someone her age, often times going out of her way to help another and even subconsciously holding back against opponents she perceives as being weaker or frailer than herself.


Mechs Stats: [10]
Speed: 3 [Tesla can draw upon her ability in conjunction with her mech's innate capabilities to create powerful bursts of electrons from her limbs, easily propelling and maneuvering herself around the field, though at her current skill level, using them in this manner requires her sacrifice raw speed of motion in favor of handling.]
Melee: 0 [Tesla fails to see the point of trying to physically punch or kick someone or slice them up with swords and the like when it's easier for her to just keep blasting them with everything she's got and assail them with various constructs of burning hot electrons as they try to close in.]
Firepower: 5 [Tesla's Coil-Gauntlets conceal a set of laser cannons within their palms, capable of burst and sweeping fire, and her mech is capable of creating intense amounts of high-powered electricity which she turns into a fearsome weapon using her ability, as well as simply blasting it directly at her opponents in the form of lightning. She even conceals several small metallic ball bearings which she can send flying as high speed projectiles with her ability.]
Armor: 2 [Tesla's mech employs specialty armor, outfitted with an Inertia Field to counter melee attacks and heavily dampen the damage inflicted by them. Against projectiles though, the Field loses it's effectiveness in bounds, and the base armor itself can only offer so much protection on it's own.]
Signature Attack: None
Special Ability: Electro-Breaker [Tesla's intense fascination with electricity manifests itself in the ability to freely control Electrons and essentially force them into an "Ambiguous" State in which they are stuck between the properties of a wave or a particle, and thus unable to react as either. This Ambiguous state inturn allows her to create highly destructive, high speed beams of Electrons capable of piercing and melting its way through thick metal, or to make constructs out of the stopped electrons such as makeshift shields and limbs of the same burning intensity.]

 

Personal Trait: Void Walker- Tesla can backtrack on any path she has taken before, even through the normally un-navigable Wilds of tempest. Her body is metabolically intolerant of anything besides Void Moss however. 
Other: She has a vast knowledge of electricity and magnetism, as well as the workings of several types of mechanical devices. She often claims to hear a strange "Buzzing" in the background when in the presence of live electricity or electronic devices, though for the most part, whenever she brings it up it seems as if she's the only one who even notices it.

 

Wally, Stratos

Character Name: Wallace "Wally" Everford
Gender: Male
Path: Mind
Appearance: A frail child standing a bit short for his age, bearing unkempt, verdant green hair and ice blue eyes seemingly locked into a permanently disinterested stare, yet still glinting with a sharpness most wouldn't think to peg one as quiet as him with. His main attire consist of a High-collared shirt, the brim of which oft times obscuring his mouth and nose, as well as a pair of slacks alongside a faded navy blue Jacket that seems a few sizes bigger than it actually is when hanging off the boy's feeble frame.
Mech Appearance: Wallace's mech consists of light-weight, plated armor overlain atop an all black, padded bodysuit. Gold-hued greaves cover his shins and knees while cuises of matching color protect his thighs. His upper body is defended by a form-fitting breast plate engraved with a motif of the wind, meanwhile an open brigandine jacket hangs from his shoulders and drapes down to his shins, bearing pauldrons and gauntlets matching the engraved plate. Upon the right arm is a self-priming, flintlock revolver-cannon bearing eight loaded chambers, with additional rounds concealed in the armored coat. A simple, golden helm encloses his head, complete with a featureless golden mask obscuring his face from sight.
 
Personality: being kept on constant bed rest for most of his short life, Wallace is an aloof and quiet child. Seldom speaking unless spoken to, largely accustomed to watching the world outside his four walls bustle with life and activity; a grand play to which he has ever been the observer in the balcony, but nary allowed on stage as a participant. Young though he is, the boy's constant status as a mere spectator has rendered him nowhere near as excitable as a 7 year old should be, instead taking in new information and experiences with a steady, near deadpan neutrality and coolness several of his parent's associates have regarded as "uncanny" in a child, while others, the mark of a potentially brilliant scientist and scholar in the making.
His quiet nature serves as a double-edged blade however; while he may be exceptionally good at not showing outward reaction or open displays of emotion, he's just as, if not even more, terrible at verbally expressing himself. He seldom forgets anything he witnesses, whether it be the codes to his father's safe, the nights of frustrated shouting from across the hall, or the sneering face of an ugly little void walker who tried to beat his face in...
 
Mechs Stats: [11]
Speed: 3 [unathletic though his mortal coil may be, his mech and ability compensate for his lack of physical ability by allowing him to float upon and ride the winds he creates, propelling himself at considerable speeds. While his mech may not quite be the fastest compared to some, it's aerial movement is still more than effective enough to outmatch the average human being on foot.]
Melee: 0 [As sickly as he is, Wallace has no real business engaging in hand to hand combat, nor having his mech outfitted with any direct capabilities of such. In most cases of an opponent getting too close for comfort he resorts to using his mech's ability to batter and destroy them with savage winds, or simply get away and force them back to whence they came.]
Firepower: 6 [The mech's main (and only, tbh) armament, the flintlock Revolver-Cannon upon it's right arm, is capable of firing rounds with enough force behind them to destroy a thick wall of concrete in a single unaugmented hit, and far worse when a hurricane strength wind is packed behind it. Combined with the fact that he can use the Tranquil Tempest itself as a weapon of deadly force with condensed blasts, buffets, waves and bursts of air powerful enough to send a wooden beam through steel and wreck solid stone...]
Armor: 2 [The armoring on the mech is lightweight and not intended to be used in drawn out direct engagements. While it will provide a degree of protection against attacks, on it's own it can only do so much to ensure the boy's safety. The Tranquil Tempest helps in the plight however, allowing the creation of Fierce Winds or barriers of solidified air that can mitigate the impact force of ballistics and physical strikes that otherwise would've caused greater damage.]
Signature Attack: None
Special Ability: Tranquil Tempest [Wally's ability stems from the habit of using meditative thought, focused on tranquil winds and air currents, to steady his breathing and alleviate his frequent coughing fits; a constant tempest surrounds his mech in combat, reacting to his impulses and thoughts. Said tempest can be used for a variety of purposes, from defensively by Wallace solidifying the air or increasing the wind's ferocity to create a mitigating factor around himself, capable of deflecting lighter projectiles and attacks such as arrows and slowing/deviating the course of heavier and more powerful ones such as bullets, to using it to propel and levitate himself or toss those who draw too close, or even turn it into a weapon by condensing it into solid projectiles and highly pressurized blasts and waves of force to literally tear the opposition apart.]
 
Personal Trait: Qabbrat- Wallace uses meditative thought focused around air currents in order to alleviate his chronic breathing issues, allowing him to actually engage in physical activity, and also improving his general ability to process sensory information. However, constantly having to maintain this altered state of mind just to interact with anyone, ironically makes it even harder for Wallace to verbally communicate with others than it already was, to the point where attempting anything other than broken fragments of sentences would likely break the state.
     In addition to the added verbal difficulties, while he has become strong enough of will to suppress his otherwise debilitating symptoms, his physical body is still frail and sickly due to his condition. Thus, he finds himself entirely behind just about every other child his age when it comes to athletic ability.
Other: Is said to have a genetic disorder which left him bedridden up until recently; what exactly it might be however, his parents have never been very willing to disclose many details. His father apparently feels that even if he can't find the cure himself, he can at least mentally train Wallace's willpower to a fine enough point to manage his own symptoms...

 

Maxim, Mr. Divergent

Character Name: Maximus Llandon or 'Maxim'
Gender: Male
Path: Tech
Appearance: Maximus Llandon has an average height and a slender body. He possesses black hair that covers one of his light brown eyes. He usually wears a black leather jacket which is usually unzipped, showing his favorite red and yellow striped shirt. This is accompanied by dark brown jeans and black sneakers. Alongside his outfit, he wears a silver ring on his left ring finger, an accessory he has worn regularly after receiving it from a friend.
Mech Appearance: Maximus Llandon's mech outfit is a lightweight body armor of a shade of dark black, covering his upper and lower body fully. Silver colored armor covers his knees and legs while his elbow area is also covered by armor of a darker shade of silver. The central chest area is covered by a dark blue armor which serves as protection from dangerous attacks. He also has a mechanical black steel helmet which can cover his entire face at the press of a button. When not in use, the helmet becomes a portable cube, stored at his pants pocket. Due to his ambidextrous ability, he wields Dual Pistols as his primary weapon. The left pistol can shoot metal bullets that explode on contact while the right pistol can shoot steel bullets that pierce through body armor. Extra rounds of bullets are stored in his waist area and when reloading, he normally places one of the guns in his pants pocket.
Personality: Having been brought up in an environment wherein work is generally more favored than interaction, Maximus Llandon developed an introverted personality. He normally keeps to himself and does not interact with other people unless necessary, but he becomes a bit more talkative to people whom he develops a close relationship with. He prefers to observe the environment to attain important data which he can possibly use in the future. Due to this, he does not choose to give trust haphazardly. Instead, he continues to study how a person acts on certain situations and to evaluate the principles that a person upholds, and from there, decide whether that person should be given trust. He is also a hardworking person who always perseveres to complete his goals and strives to succeed even in the light of adversities that are seemingly impossible to overcome.
Mechs Stats: 
Speed: 4 - Maximus prefers to employ a hit and run strategy, settling to defeat opponents as fast as he can. He can run very fast at a rate faster than regular humans. He can also propel using an engine in his feet and soar at a height of a two storey building. He often uses his speed to outlast opponents or to control the battlefield to his advantage.
Melee: 0 - Maximus does not have any skill in close combat as he has his guns to do his work for him and he has the speed to avoid close range battles.
Firepower: 5 - Maximus is a superior shooter with his Dual Pistols. He can shoot accurately from close range to mid range and his speed at shooting is generally one for each gun every seven seconds.
Armor: 1 - He prefers to have speed over durability as he knows that it is better to run away and outlast the opponent rather than staying in one placs and getting damaged by the weapons of opponents. His armor can only endure against light projectiles and is easily damaged by high output damage. 
Signature Attack: None
Special Ability: Bio Control (The mech gives Maximus the ability to control his breathing rate and pulse rate to a level wherein he can think more rationally and strategically in battle. His mech allows him to plan complex tactics and be calm minded even when the situation says otherwise.)
Personal Trait: Ambidextrous - His ambidextrousness allows him to wield the Dual Pistols and shoot accurately from both guns at the same time. This trait also makes him able to reload at a faster rate than normal. In normal circumstances, this trait provides him a means to complete tasks faster and easily as he has both hands to use.
Other: He possesses an advanced level of strategic ability which allows him to carefully think the right decision from a vast multitude of possibilities. He is also interested in archery due to his shooting ability. He is also seen reading technological books in his free time.

 

Aera, IntSys

Character Name: Aera Timuli

Gender: Female

Path: Tech


Appearance: Aera's a short girl born with heavy allergy, sensitive to even bits of dust in the environment. As such, she wears a green, semitransparent and slimy face mask over her mouth and nose almost all the time. The slime is made of a special substance, infused with favor and microcomputers to keep the air filtered. She can speak and eat through the mask. Usually, she wears a white pajama with various green smiley faces all over it. However, in important occasions like ceremonies, she'd wear an olive-colored trench coat, conveniently covering her pajamas completely. She wears white socks and green sneakers and has short, brown hair.

 

Mech Appearance: In combat, the green slime mask grows and wraps Aera's body entirely, making her look like a marshmallow giant at a glance. Though, the form it takes could change anytime, generally humanoid. The slime increases as the battle prolongs, making it less and less transparent. The slime becomes particularly thick and less transparent on her back and mouth, as microcomputers are heavily concentrated there. She communicates a speaker instead. A visor covers her eyes, allowing her to see through the slime.

 

Personality: An easygoing girl, Aera often follows others' decisions and doesn't make much on her own. "Go right" and she goes right, "Go left" and she goes left.

In combat, though, she forces herself to actually think for once, as no one could make decisions for her on the battlefield.

 

Mechs Stats: 

  • Speed: 3 - The slime can stiffen and soften at will, allowing easy speed control. When stiffen, the mech can pick up speed more easily by running and become decently fast.
  • Melee: 5 - The mini-generators scattered in the slime can generate large amounts of energy to drive each slime part, allowing powerful punches and slimy projectiles to be thrown. On top of that, the slime pieces that gets stuck on the opponent can further stress themselves, denting and corroding armor pieces.
  • Firepower: 0 - The mech is 90% slime, 10% machines and 0% guns.
  • Armor: 2 - The slime's very resistant to physical blows, capable of holding itself together even against the roughest of punches. However, if heated, the slimy substances would soften and dissolve easily, leaving naked microcomputers that can't do much on their own.

Signature Attack: None

Special Ability: Slime Control - Aera's able to control every single bit of her slime at will, even when separated from her body. She can also use the ability to generate more slime with favor.

Personal Trait: Multitasker - Aera is trained to operate up to a hundred different pieces of slime separated from her body, performing a multitude of tasks with them, ranging from razing ant colonies to having fifty RPS matches simultaneously.

Other: Aera's allergy causes her to sneeze uncontrollably as long as she's breathing unclean air. The demand for the purity of the air is so high that only in a specially-filtered room could she breathe without the slime mask. Sneezing takes a lot out of her and would make her tired and low-spirited.

 

Debronee, Noir

Character Name: Debronee ‘Deb’ Damora 
Gender: Male
Path: Body
Appearance: Debronee is a lean, albeit athletic, seven-year-old. He has a pair of purple eyes, with smoke white hair that extends below his neck to match is features. A scar mars his slightly above-average looks near the left side of his lips, up to his cheek. He is of average height, and enjoys wearing practical, form fitting clothing that usual consists of a body suit with rubber gloves and boots, leaving his arms bare.

Mech Appearance: Debronee’s mech consists of lightweight plate armor that covers his upper half fully as well as shin guards and metal boots for legs, all ornately decorated with streaks of red. His boots are spiked at the rear end of their soles, allowing him a firm grip on the ground and allowing him to clamp himself perpendicularly onto certain terrain. His armor, while relatively durable, is also flexible, allowing him to bend and have free movement of his body. His gloves change to a pair of grooved gauntlets with spikes at the knuckles, wielding a large two-handed sword that he is capable of wielding with one hand, with similar ornate furnishings as his armor. He wears a helmet signature in design, with two long curved horns resembling that of a bull’s that meet at the center as they protrude out of the sides of the helmet, masking his face entirely and leaving only several ornately carved holes that allow him to see and breathe through, though they are usually veiled in a burning red. A pair of protruding, sharp-edged, feather-textured wings extend from his back, though these wings do not enable ample flight capabilities, and only allow for short-distances and for keeping himself aloft and airborne gliding.

Personality: Steadfast, phlegmatic and taciturn, Debronee is a pragmatic individual who believes every issue should be eliminated as quickly as possible, prioritizing the ends over the means. However, his means themselves are not always subtle, as he excels in the midst of battle where his mind is sharper rather than being a careful planner. He is hardworking and has very strong perseverance having trained all his life in the art of battle since his youth.

Mech Stats:

  • Speed: 2 [Debronee prefers to settle matters as quickly as possible, personal capabilities notwithstanding. Alas, he can only run and move on par of that of a normal human though his wings provide enhanced manuverability in the air.]
  • Melee: 6 (Doubled from 3) [Debronee’s most distinct trait is his strength; the boy is as skilled a swordsman as he is a hand-to-hand combatant. Preferring close-up, hard hitting offense as a means for a quick finishing, Debronee’s mech provides him with enhanced physical strength, enabling his strikes and attacks to dent through durable matter such as refined steel, and cause mild tremors with powerful punches and kicks. He has enough strength in his feet to propel him into high altitudes into the air and kick projectiles towards substantial distances, and the force attained through his limbs also allows him to travel at relatively high speeds as well as having strong stamina before being worn out.]
  • Firepower: 0 [Debronee incorporates no use of any firearms resembling of complex, technological weapons, deeming them rudimentary and unbefitting of his style.]
  • Armor: 1 [Prioritizing free movement and as less drag as possible, Debronee prefers practical, light armor as opposed to more powerful defensive armor to optimize his speed in tandem with his superior strength. This, of course, results in compromise of his overall durability, which is somewhat offset courtesy of his special ability.]

They also wear black stetsons (which are cool) with ribbons tied around them in a bow on the right side. One of them wears a red ribbon while the other wears a blue ribbon, but they generally don't care who's wearing which so don't rely on that to tell them apart
Mech Appearance: In battle, Artemis enters the field front and center while Fowl provides support. Fowl carries a slingshot which fires off explosive packets that detonate on contact, carried in a special pouch that prevents them from premature detonation. Artemis is clad in simple leather armor with a cloth shirt and leggings. She carries two crossbows and large riot shield made of leather. When not in use, the crossbows can be strapped onto her lower arms and the shield can be hung on her back. Her crossbow bolts are stored in a quiver on her hip
Personality: Although both fairly similar in personality, sharing interests and even their Dream Space, Artemis and Fowl (oh god it burns) are still different people

Artemis is the more emotional of the two, excitably plowing through life with a fierce passion. She enjoys having fun and is generally a more flexible thinker than her sister

Fowl on the other hand tends to be extremely cold for her age, acting as a much more mature and collected counterpart. She's a bit rigid though, tending to tunnel-vision onto her current thoughts without leaving room for adjustment

Mechs Stats: 11

  • Speed: 1. Both girls can only walk, and are impeded by their payloads, Artemis to a greater extent than Fowl
  • Melee: 2. Artemis is fairly good at hand to hand combat, and can use her bolts to make stabbing attacks against her foes
  • Firepower: 4. Fowl is a good shot with her explosive slingshot and Artemis wields a pair of rapid-fire crossbows which can be reloaded and fire at a rate of one shot every five seconds
  • Armor: 2. Artemis is fairly well defended with her shield and leather body armor, capable of defending against most low-tech projectiles and melee attacks

 

Signature Attack: 2. Inversion Sigil - Temporarily switches Artemis and Fowl's places, putting Artemis on support with a crossbow and shield and putting Fowl on offense with a slingshot and the other crossbow. The condition for this attack is that their special ability cannot currently be in use (just a simple condition for a simple Signature)

Special Ability: Cable Shot - Allows the girls' crossbows to fire off bolts with cables attached without disrupting flight. These cables hook onto the wrist on the arm that was fired from. The cables can be used to tangle opponents or suddenly redirect the bolts towards a different location

Personal Trait: Twin Telepathy -  Thanks to their shared Dream Space and training in the ways of the Mind, the twins are capable of communicating telepathically over an almost infinite distance and even between different Planes

Personality: Victoria is a confident young girl who is completely fearless. She's an extremely quick learner and has wisdom years beyond her age. Though the opponent of the other contestants, she acts more like she's their big sister. She often sets lofty goals for herself, and always achieves them

  • Speed: 2. Victoria can only move slightly faster than a normal human under most circumstances. However, she does have rocket boosters around her wrists and in the soles of her feet which can be used to give her a short burst of speed to close a gap or reposition out of the way of an attack

Appearance: Slightly short but not overly so. Straight, jet black hair that reaches all the way down to her ankles. Soft features that seem vaguely Asian but not quite totally so. One ocean blue eye and one emerald green. Usually wears a purple t-shirt, black jean shorts, black sneakers, and purple socks. Sometimes she goes the extra mile and paints hair nails purple too.

Mech Appearance: Adds a black trenchcoat that matches her hair length overtop her usual outfit, switches the shorts to full-on jeans. Dual wields swords, one black and the other purple.

Personality: A young and confident woman with a very happy outlook on life. Her multicolored eyes always seem to sparkle with joy. She never seems to cave when pressured or stressed. And despite what one might think considering who's writing her, her cheerful attitude is entirely genuine. She tends to take this even onto the battlefield, but can be made to become more serious and focused given the right fight.

Mechs Stats:

  • Speed: 6 - Min-Su's mech directly augments her body's ability to move at high speeds. For the most part she is still only able to move at normal walking speeds, but can grant herself bursts of extreme speed that actually match what a mech with 8 or 9 speed could manage consistently
  • Melee: 6 - Can fight very effectively with her swords, which are capable of putting a pretty solid gash in most armor and denting almost anything else
  • Firepower: 0 - Nope.
  • Armor: 3 - Her trenchcoat serves as a very solid defense against explosions and bladed weapons. She relies on her Ability to handle ranged attack

Signature Attack: Forbidden Sword Technique ~ Dual Wielding - Min-Su rapidly flashes across her opponent, slashing through them in the blink of an eye. If this is not blocked, she then immediately turns and follows up with a flurry of attacks. The condition for this attack is that Min-Su must combo into it with at least two attacks immediately prior.

Special Ability: Bullet Prediction - Min-Su can use her swords to deflect ranged attacks of all speeds, although too many attacks at once may overwhelm her

Personal Trait: Cheer Determination - Min-Su's tenacity is precisely opposite to her cheerfulness. As she becomes more serious over the course of a fight, she also becomes much more determined and tough to finish off. This can be jump-started if her opponent somehow manages to make her get serious off the bat

He is of average height, and enjoys wearing practical, form fitting clothing that usual consists of a body suit with rubber gloves and boots, leaving his arms bare.

Mech Appearance: Debronee’s mech consists of lightweight plate armor that covers his upper half fully as well as shin guards and metal boots for legs, all ornately decorated with streaks of red. His boots are spiked at the rear end of their soles, allowing him a firm grip on the ground and allowing him to clamp himself perpendicularly onto certain terrain. His armor, while relatively durable, is also flexible, allowing him to bend and have free movement of his body. His gloves change to a pair of grooved gauntlets with spikes at the knuckles, wielding a large two-handed sword that he is capable of wielding with one hand, with similar ornate furnishings as his armor. He wears a helmet signature in design, with two long curved horns resembling that of a bull’s that meet at the center as they protrude out of the sides of the helmet, masking his face entirely and leaving only several ornately carved holes that allow him to see and breathe through, though they are usually veiled in a burning red. A pair of protruding, sharp-edged, feather-textured wings extend from his back, though these wings do not enable ample flight capabilities, and only allow for short-distances and for keeping himself aloft and airborne gliding.


Personality: Steadfast, phlegmatic and taciturn, Debronee is a pragmatic individual who believes every issue should be eliminated as quickly as possible, prioritizing the ends over the means. However, his means themselves are not always subtle, as he excels in the midst of battle where his mind is sharper rather than being a careful planner. He is hardworking and has very strong perseverance having trained all his life in the art of battle since his youth.

Appearance: Aera's a short girl born with heavy allergy, sensitive to even bits of dust in the environment. As such, she wears a green, semitransparent and slimy face mask over her mouth and nose almost all the time. The slime is made of a special substance, infused with favor and microcomputers to keep the air filtered. She can speak and eat through the mask. Usually, she wears a white pajama with various green smiley faces all over it. However, in important occasions like ceremonies, she'd wear an olive-colored trench coat, conveniently covering her pajamas completely. She wears white socks and green sneakers and has short, brown hair.

 

Mech Appearance: In combat, the green slime mask grows and wraps Aera's body entirely, making her look like a marshmallow giant at a glance. Though, the form it takes could change anytime, generally humanoid. The slime increases as the battle prolongs, making it less and less transparent. The slime becomes particularly thick and less transparent on her back and mouth, as microcomputers are heavily concentrated there. She communicates a speaker instead. A visor covers her eyes, allowing her to see through the slime.

 

Personality: An easygoing girl, Aera often follows others' decisions and doesn't make much on her own. "Go right" and she goes right, "Go left" and she goes left.

In combat, though, she forces herself to actually think for once, as no one could make decisions for her on the battlefield.

 

Mechs Stats: 

  • Speed: 3 - The slime can stiffen and soften at will, allowing easy speed control. When stiffen, the mech can pick up speed more easily by running and become decently fast.
  • Melee: 5 - The mini-generators scattered in the slime can generate large amounts of energy to drive each slime part, allowing powerful punches and slimy projectiles to be thrown. On top of that, the slime pieces that gets stuck on the opponent can further stress themselves, denting and corroding armor pieces.
  • Firepower: 0 - The mech is 90% slime, 10% machines and 0% guns.
  • Armor: 2 - The slime's very resistant to physical blows, capable of holding itself together even against the roughest of punches. However, if heated, the slimy substances would soften and dissolve easily, leaving naked microcomputers that can't do much on their own.

Signature Attack: None

Special Ability: Slime Control - Aera's able to control every single bit of her slime at will, even when separated from her body. She can also use the ability to generate more slime with favor.

Personal Trait: Multitasker - Aera is trained to operate up to a hundred different pieces of slime separated from her body, performing a multitude of tasks with them, ranging from razing ant colonies to having fifty RPS matches simultaneously.

Other: Aera's allergy causes her to sneeze uncontrollably as long as she's breathing unclean air. The demand for the purity of the air is so high that only in a specially-filtered room could she breathe without the slime mask. Sneezing takes a lot out of her and would make her tired and low-spirited.

Favor-based tech (barring the stuff left behind by the Precursors/Ancients/I swear they'll get a name eventually) is a good 30-40 years out at this point in time (that's 5-15 from TTG-times), meaning for this to work you'd have to be constantly using your mech to function (not a recommended course of action, also in this case impossible, getting to that in a moment

 

Meanwhile, chemical medicine could probably handle even the most severe of allergies pretty easily as of... probably last year, maybe the year before I don't have a date for the public spread of medication but it's between the Divination system and now. Although this is old Pride so you can easily excuse not having access to the latest medicines as they're slow to accept scientific advances

So I didn't mention it since I wasn't really expecting it to come up, but I'm fairly certain that at this point in the timeline HUDs (which are the primary form of short-range communications besides talking and may or may not use radio signals, I'm too lazy to figure out a good explanation) are still pretty expensive so most of the other kids aren't going to have access to them

Appearance: A frail child standing a bit short for his age, bearing unkempt, verdant green hair and ice blue eyes seemingly locked into a permanently disinterested stare, yet still glinting with a sharpness most wouldn't think to peg one as quiet as him with. His main attire consist of a High-collared shirt, the brim of which oft times obscuring his mouth and nose, as well as a pair of slacks alongside a faded navy blue Jacket that seems a few sizes bigger than it actually is when hanging off the boy's feeble frame.
Mech Appearance: Wallace's mech consists of light-weight, plated armor overlain atop an all black, padded bodysuit. Gold-hued greaves cover his shins and knees while cuises of matching color protect his thighs. His upper body is defended by a form-fitting breast plate engraved with a motif of the wind, meanwhile an open brigandine jacket hangs from his shoulders and drapes down to his shins, bearing pauldrons and gauntlets matching the engraved plate. Upon the right arm is a self-priming, flintlock revolver-cannon bearing eight loaded chambers, with additional rounds concealed in the armored coat. A simple, golden helm encloses his head, complete with a featureless golden mask obscuring his face from sight.
 
Personality: being kept on constant bed rest for most of his short life, Wallace is an aloof and quiet child. Seldom speaking unless spoken to, largely accustomed to watching the world outside his four walls bustle with life and activity; a grand play to which he has ever been the observer in the balcony, but nary allowed on stage as a participant. Young though he is, the boy's constant status as a mere spectator has rendered him nowhere near as excitable as a 7 year old should be, instead taking in new information and experiences with a steady, near deadpan neutrality and coolness several of his parent's associates have regarded as "uncanny" in a child, while others, the mark of a potentially brilliant scientist and scholar in the making.
His quiet nature serves as a double-edged blade however; while he may be exceptionally good at not showing outward reaction or open displays of emotion, he's just as, if not even more, terrible at verbally expressing himself. He seldom forgets anything he witnesses, whether it be the codes to his father's safe, the nights of frustrated shouting from across the hall, or the sneering face of an ugly little void walker who tried to beat his face in...
 
Mechs Stats: [11]
Speed: 3 [unathletic though his mortal coil may be, his mech and ability compensate for his lack of physical ability by allowing him to float upon and ride the winds he creates, propelling himself at considerable speeds. While his mech may not quite be the fastest compared to some, it's aerial movement is still more than effective enough to outmatch the average human being on foot.]
Melee: 0 [As sickly as he is, Wallace has no real business engaging in hand to hand combat, nor having his mech outfitted with any direct capabilities of such. In most cases of an opponent getting too close for comfort he resorts to using his mech's ability to batter and destroy them with savage winds, or simply get away and force them back to whence they came.]
Firepower: 6 [The mech's main (and only, tbh) armament, the flintlock Revolver-Cannon upon it's right arm, is capable of firing rounds with enough force behind them to destroy a thick wall of concrete in a single unaugmented hit, and far worse when a hurricane strength wind is packed behind it. Combined with the fact that he can use the Tranquil Tempest itself as a weapon of deadly force with condensed blasts, buffets, waves and bursts of air powerful enough to send a wooden beam through steel and wreck solid stone...]
Armor: 2 [The armoring on the mech is lightweight and not intended to be used in drawn out direct engagements. While it will provide a degree of protection against attacks, on it's own it can only do so much to ensure the boy's safety. The Tranquil Tempest helps in the plight however, allowing the creation of Fierce Winds or barriers of solidified air that can mitigate the impact force of ballistics and physical strikes that otherwise would've caused greater damage.]

Special Ability: Tranquil Tempest [Wally's ability stems from the habit of using meditative thought, focused on tranquil winds and air currents, to steady his breathing and alleviate his frequent coughing fits; a constant tempest surrounds his mech in combat, reacting to his impulses and thoughts. Said tempest can be used for a variety of purposes, from defensively by Wallace solidifying the air or increasing the wind's ferocity to create a mitigating factor around himself, capable of deflecting lighter projectiles and attacks such as arrows and slowing/deviating the course of heavier and more powerful ones such as bullets, to using it to propel and levitate himself or toss those who draw too close, or even turn it into a weapon by condensing it into solid projectiles and highly pressurized blasts and waves of force to literally tear the opposition apart.]
 
Personal Trait: Qabbrat- Wallace uses meditative thought focused around air currents in order to alleviate his chronic breathing issues, allowing him to actually engage in physical activity, and also improving his general ability to process sensory information. However, constantly having to maintain this altered state of mind just to interact with anyone, ironically makes it even harder for Wallace to verbally communicate with others than it already was, to the point where attempting anything other than broken fragments of sentences would likely break the state.
     In addition to the added verbal difficulties, while he has become strong enough of will to suppress his otherwise debilitating symptoms, his physical body is still frail and sickly due to his condition. Thus, he finds himself entirely behind just about every other child his age when it comes to athletic ability.
Other: Is said to have a genetic disorder which left him bedridden up until recently; what exactly it might be however, his parents have never been very willing to disclose many details. His father apparently feels that even if he can't find the cure himself, he can at least mentally train Wallace's willpower to a fine enough point to manage his own symptoms...

Appearance: A dark skinned girl standing a few inches taller than most her age. Her unkempt curls cascade around her face and cheeks in a mess of black locks, contrasted by eyes of a deep violet. She typically dons a pair of sleek, silver and neon orange safety goggles atop her head, alongside baggy, grey cargo shorts and an old, black T-shirt obviously a few sizes too big for her, it's collar dangling around her shoulders rather than her neck and revealing a host of scars that continue on down her back and arms in haphazard fashion. A strange code is roughly tattooed onto her right forearm, reading "B287"... Tesla recalls naught as to when exactly she got it, only that up until being found, it was the only name she had.
Mech Appearance: Tesla's Mech consists of a pair of Snow White gauntlets and boots along with similar hued armored plating. Her arms and legs are entwined with Electrical Coils which help to channel and amplify the unit's generated electricity, while a deep, luminous violet shines forth from the core located in the chest, a small viewing port revealing the crackling storm of electrical energy within. The head of the mech is a simple, ovaloid helm bearing burning eyes of the same color.
Personality: Raised most of her early days under the harsh radiance of examination lights, Tesla's past is something she can only recall in scattered memories and glimpses, perhaps a blessing in disguise, given that she's not much keen on actually trying to remember it anyway, or talk about it for that matter.
Regardless though, she feels immense gratitude towards the gruff mechanic who found her wandering near his garage and decided to let her stay, Serving as both his assistant and an apprentice in an attempt to earn her keep and prove herself useful. She has an impressive knack for tinkering with objects and a burning curiosity to match, especially towards the twin subjects of electricity and magnetism.
Unknown to anyone but herself though her life prior to his kindness is, it is nonetheless because of whatever things she saw and heard, or perhaps rather, in spite of them, that Tesla has developed a deep sense of compassion and empathy for someone her age, often times going out of her way to help another and even subconsciously holding back against opponents she perceives as being weaker or frailer than herself.


Mechs Stats: [10]
Speed: 3 [Tesla can draw upon her ability in conjunction with her mech's innate capabilities to create powerful bursts of electrons from her limbs, easily propelling and maneuvering herself around the field, though at her current skill level, using them in this manner requires her sacrifice raw speed of motion in favor of handling.]
Melee: 0 [Tesla fails to see the point of trying to physically punch or kick someone or slice them up with swords and the like when it's easier for her to just keep blasting them with everything she's got and assail them with various constructs of burning hot electrons as they try to close in.]
Firepower: 5 [Tesla's Coil-Gauntlets conceal a set of laser cannons within their palms, capable of burst and sweeping fire, and her mech is capable of creating intense amounts of high-powered electricity which she turns into a fearsome weapon using her ability, as well as simply blasting it directly at her opponents in the form of lightning. She even conceals several small metallic ball bearings which she can send flying as high speed projectiles with her ability.]
Armor: 2 [Tesla's mech employs specialty armor, outfitted with an Inertia Field to counter melee attacks and heavily dampen the damage inflicted by them. Against projectiles though, the Field loses it's effectiveness in bounds, and the base armor itself can only offer so much protection on it's own.]
Signature Attack: None
Special Ability: Electro-Breaker [Tesla's intense fascination with electricity manifests itself in the ability to freely control Electrons and essentially force them into an "Ambiguous" State in which they are stuck between the properties of a wave or a particle, and thus unable to react as either. This Ambiguous state inturn allows her to create highly destructive, high speed beams of Electrons capable of piercing and melting its way through thick metal, or to make constructs out of the stopped electrons such as makeshift shields and limbs of the same burning intensity.]

 

Personal Trait: Void Walker- Tesla can backtrack on any path she has taken before, even through the normally un-navigable Wilds of tempest. Her body is metabolically intolerant of anything besides Void Moss however. 
Other: She has a vast knowledge of electricity and magnetism, as well as the workings of several types of mechanical devices. She often claims to hear a strange "Buzzing" in the background when in the presence of live electricity or electronic devices, though for the most part, whenever she brings it up it seems as if she's the only one who even notices it.

These two will doubtless end up murdering each other come adulthood, but eh, that's an issue for me to worry about in a different story, in a different RP

Appearance: Maximus Llandon has an average height and a slender body. He possesses black hair that covers one of his light brown eyes. He usually wears a black leather jacket which is usually unzipped, showing his favorite red and yellow striped shirt. This is accompanied by dark brown jeans and black sneakers. Alongside his outfit, he wears a silver ring on his left ring finger, an accessory he has worn regularly after receiving it from a friend.
Mech Appearance: Maximus Llandon's mech outfit is a lightweight body armor of a shade of dark black, covering his upper and lower body fully. Silver colored armor covers his knees and legs while his elbow area is also covered by armor of a darker shade of silver. The central chest area is covered by a dark blue armor which serves as protection from dangerous attacks. He also has a mechanical black steel helmet which can cover his entire face at the press of a button. When not in use, the helmet becomes a portable cube, stored at his pants pocket. Due to his ambidextrous ability, he wields Dual Pistols as his primary weapon. The left pistol can shoot metal bullets that explode on contact while the right pistol can shoot steel bullets that pierce through body armor. Extra rounds of bullets are stored in his waist area and when reloading, he normally places one of the guns in his pants pocket.
Personality: Having been brought up in an environment wherein work is generally more favored than interaction, Maximus Llandon developed an introverted personality. He normally keeps to himself and does not interact with other people unless necessary, but he becomes a bit more talkative to people whom he develops a close relationship with. He prefers to observe the environment to attain important data which he can possibly use in the future. Due to this, he does not choose to give trust haphazardly. Instead, he continues to study how a person acts on certain situations and to evaluate the principles that a person upholds, and from there, decide whether that person should be given trust. He is also a hardworking person who always perseveres to complete his goals and strives to succeed even in the light of adversities that are seemingly impossible to overcome.
Mechs Stats: 
Speed: 4 - Maximus prefers to employ a hit and run strategy, settling to defeat opponents as fast as he can. He can run very fast at a rate faster than regular humans. He can also propel using an engine in his feet and soar at a height of a two storey building. He often uses his speed to outlast opponents or to control the battlefield to his advantage.
Melee: 0 - Maximus does not have any skill in close combat as he has his guns to do his work for him and he has the speed to avoid close range battles.
Firepower: 5 - Maximus is a superior shooter with his Dual Pistols. He can shoot accurately from close range to mid range and his speed at shooting is generally one for each gun every seven seconds.
Armor: 1 - He prefers to have speed over durability as he knows that it is better to run away and outlast the opponent rather than staying in one placs and getting damaged by the weapons of opponents. His armor can only endure against light projectiles and is easily damaged by high output damage. 
Signature Attack: None
Special Ability: Bio Control (The mech gives Maximus the ability to control his breathing rate and pulse rate to a level wherein he can think more rationally and strategically in battle. His mech allows him to plan complex tactics and be calm minded even when the situation says otherwise.)
Personal Trait: Ambidextrous - His ambidextrousness allows him to wield the Dual Pistols and shoot accurately from both guns at the same time. This trait also makes him able to reload at a faster rate than normal. In normal circumstances, this trait provides him a means to complete tasks faster and easily as he has both hands to use.
Other: He possesses an advanced level of strategic ability which allows him to carefully think the right decision from a vast multitude of possibilities. He is also interested in archery due to his shooting ability. He is also seen reading technological books in his free time.
