Gab1
After some advices from some users, I have decided to modify my psychic team on showdown (that and the fact that Mega-Metagross has been banned from monotype server). It goes as following: Victini Hasty nature @ Choice Scarf EVs: 180 ATT / 180 S.ATT / 148 SPE -Blue Flare -Bolt Strike -Dazzling Gleam -Psychic Gallade Jolly nature @ Razor Claw EVs: 4 HP / 252 ATT / 252 SPE -Close Combat -Psycho Cut -Night Slash -Leaf Blade Malamar Jolly nature @ Choice Scarf EVs: 88 ATT / 168 S.DEF / 252 SPE -Superpower -Psycho Cut -Night Slash -Rock Slide Gardevoir Timid nature @ Fairium Z EVs: 4 HP / 252 S.ATT / 252 SPE -Energy Ball -Focus Blast -Psychic -Moonblast Alakazam Timid nature @ Alakazite EVs: 4 HP / 252 S.ATT / 252 SPE -Dazzling Gleam -Energy Ball -Focus Blast -Psychic Deoxys (defense form) Calm nature @ Leftovers EVs: 4 HP / 252 DEF / 252 S.DEF -Stealth Rock -Recover -Seismic Toss -Toxik So, if you have some good suggestions, don't hesitate to tell it; I'm open to any constructive critic. CMV
I don't play competitive, but I think the EV spread on Deoxys-D is suboptimal. You should max out HP EVs instead of one of the Def/SpDef EVs, that way it should take both physical and special attacks better. 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Deoxys-Defense: 109-130 (45 - 53.7%) 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Deoxys-Defense: 129-153 (42.4 - 50.3%) 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Dark Pulse vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Deoxys-Defense: 170-204 (70.2 - 84.2%) 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Deoxys-Defense: 204-240 (67.1 - 78.9%)
Daniel Blackworth
For Victini, wouldn't it be better to lean on one attacking stat rather than both? This will allow higher damage output. For Gardevoir and Alakazam, they technically serve the same purpose. I think it's better to have supporting moves for either as it isn't necessary to basically have similar coverage. For Deoxys Def, I also agree that you should simply place EVs on HP and another stat (either offense or defense) Also, I noticed that it's quite possible to be wrecked by Mono Bug due to having only pokemon with a move against it and it's not even having 100 accuracy.
