Dragonite149
So i with this team i decided to go the unorthodox route by adding politoed in as my wild card. not only does Politoed provide a solid counter to fire types but he also brings with him the rain which dampens fire moves to the point where they arent that huge of a threat anymore and i can focus more on taking their team down rather than tip toeing around fire types @ Leftovers Trait: Drizzle EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Scald - Toxic - Ice Beam - Protect i made sure to have my politoed be bulky enough to be able to soak up even the most powerful of fire moves (im sure there's exceptions) but he is by no means a push over his already solid special attack allowed me to not have to invest any EVs into it and focus on survivability mentioned beforehand toxic is the MVP of this move-set crippling potential sweepers by limiting their survivavility. politoed's rain also provides a bad ass veil for the rest of the team that i mentioned beforehand @ Choice Band Trait: Technician EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Bullet Punch - U-turn - Brick Break - Pursuit Scizor is Scizor hes Ninja. with virtually perfect coverage he can put a real dent in almost anything. i usually use this guy to scout potential threats or to revenge kill @ Leftovers Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Leech Seed - Stealth Rock - Power Whip - Protect the Tank of the team also helps me set up my rocks with leech seed and iron barbs he could pretty much sit there and watch your pokemon die (sometimes he can foral though xD) this guy also helps soak up water and that does neutral damage to everyone else on the team @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spd Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Roost - Spikes - Whirlwind - Brave Bird My spiker and Phaser he's there for me in a pinch but doesn't see much use @ Choice Scarf Trait: Magnet Pull EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Flash Cannon - Volt Switch - Hidden Power [Fire] My Revenge killing war machine this thing just Dominates any unprepared Victim especially steel types that are trapped by magnet pull and later demolished by its powerful swift(cuz hes scarfed) attacks @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Water Pulse - Thunder - Psyshock This the star of the team with its insane special bulk it can take decently strong fire moves and strike back with its arsenal. after a single calm mind this thing becomes a monster and is very hard for a lot of people to take down on the special side. please give me constructive criticisem im pretty proud of this team
Summer
Thanks for fooling me. I really thought this was a monosteel, but Politoed said hi. Besides that annoying toad, this team is pretty balanced. Just wanted to say, if Scizor pulls off a U-turn, your Magnetzone's gonna be screwed. Butwhatarethechanceslol EDIT: Note that Scizor has a useable 4 EV left. You might want to use them. Edited July 3, 2012 by Summer

Summer
sorry xD know any good replacements for Poli? and yeah ill get on that Probopass can take average SpAtks in the kne face without losing half HP. However, you might want to consider Probopass as it's only good defensively, and the attack and SPattack stats leaves much to be desired. Phazer
Why would you post a new RMT, when you could just modify your first post. Anyways you have no fucking pokemon to block earthquake, I suggest Bronzong.
Dragonite149
who whould i take out for bronzong?
Phazer
Magnezone, it take 4x like Heatran, but Heatran can kill Steel Types more effectively. Oh and for Heatran. Heatran (F) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Lava Plume - Earth Power - Hidden Power [ice] - Flash Cannon A very powerful set that can trick your foes, Flash Cannon gives that all offense feel sense he is scarfed. Valkyria
Much better without Politoed. No such thing as a wild card in monotypes. I would personally replace Empoleon with Skarmory, as you'll need something to stop Earthquakes. This would also free up the Stealth Rock slot on your Ferrothorn, which you could replace with either Swords Dance or Thunder Wave.
Dragonite149
My finalized version above thanks a lot to everyone who contributed and helped make My steel mono a success xD cheers and enjoy
chasedawg98
Ya skarm could really help this team, seeing as, for some reason you don't have hazrds. I really suggest using them as 95% of steel types get them.
Phazer
What why you still have Politoed? This is not monotype.
