Leaving to Agate soon

So I've heard from Cain and people here that once I leave to Agate, it won't be until much later that I'll be able to return to the part of the city I'm in.

(which is why I kind of went on a breeding spree haha)

 

Anything you'd recommend me doing before going to Agate?

I already leveled all my pokemon team to Lv69-70.

I'd say do all the major sidequests, try doing all the possible trades just so you have those mons. There's not really more to it is there? Maybe revive fossils

There is a trade to get a pokemon through the gates that you can't do until much later unless you bring the required pokemon with you. 

 

You need to bring for trade:

"A Pokemon that shocks on touch,

And through no ability or such old hat,

On whom Electric moves always fall flat."

Prepare some good pokemons, good breed pokemon and ev trained make it a lot easier. 

As said above, try to get all event pokemon and other events as well.

On the off chance you need to EV train a pokemon in between, have the Power items (department store 4th floor) and a supply of all of the 'friendship' berries (7th or 8th floor).

@GS BALL listed pretty much everything you need to do before going up to Agate. You should completely clear Citae d-Astrae (Holy temple beneath Grand Stairway) before moving to Agate, because that place will be inacessible after that, so make sure you mine everything you want/need, grab hidden items (most notably Shell Bell and some goodies such as stardust, star pieces, etc).
