Old Reborn Cutoff

Hey Guys

 

So basically on my current save I'm down past the cutoff to Agate City, and now I'm off grinding to take down Charlotte and etc, etc. But since this is the save that I got furthest in on Reborn (because I stupedly deleted my old saves when route 2 glitched me to obvlivion in episode 15) I'm a little apprehensive regarding the whole transfer to the restored reborn, as well as being stuck in Agate/Calcenon/Ametrine for a long time.

 

So in order to figure out if I should go back to pre-Agate and do a breeding spree and pokedex spree and all that fun stuff, I have a few questions:

 

1: When do you regain access to Reborn?

2: When does Reborn change from old shitty reborn to new fancy reborn

3: If I left behind a bunch of assorted event pokemon and trades and things like that, will I still be able to get them after entering Agate, or do I need to load up pre-Agate in order to do so?

For 1 and 2, Access to Neo Reborn is given back in Episode 16.

 

For 3, you'd need to load Pre Agate since the events for Old Reborn are overruled due to the presence of Neo Reborn.

You regain access to Reborn after defeating Ciel, whose badge will allow you to Fly there. This is also the point where Reborn is restored. 

You'll miss the events themselves, but not the Pokemon. ex: You won't be able to do Lotad's event anymore, but you can find it as a grass encounter.

If you load the game in Episode 15, after beating Ciel, you can walk through the checkpoint between the circus and Agate city. Then you'll end up in the Reborn city region, with old Reborn city.

Not sure if this is going to be patched soon, but you can return to Old Reborn from Agate by : TELEPORT!

 

This allows you to go back to Reborn City from Agate Circus. The caveat is that it is only up to certain point of the story:

When you are looking for Hardy and enter Titania's and Amaria's House, the teleport will be automatically set there and you won't be able to go back to Reborn City.

 

To return to Agate Circus, simply pass the checkpoint to Agate City, you will be automatically transported to the front of circus.

 

This is quite perfect if you want to get some pokemon/item from Agate Circus or Route 2, but no further than that. Quite fitting as well, since you won't be able to do fancy things like surfing/diving in Old Reborn because of this limitation.

 

Edit: Also, when I tried this, the Pokemon Restore Point at Agate Circus is not counted as a Teleport checkpoint, so feel free to heal up there and still go back to Old Reborn.
