Felcatty Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 @luis The mouth and tail (?) on the green one looks really off and is actually a little difficult to distinguish, also the shading heads from a yellow directly into a green and it looks off to me. Perhaps sticking more to a yellow or darker shade of green? The black and red one is pretty cool (the colours work well together), but maybe it's the fact that pyukumuku already has shadings of black and red that I actually don't find it all that powerful Just my opinion. The yellow into green was on purpose, I tried to imitate the colours of a poisonous frog :P And I have a problem with the colours of the mouth/tail, because they either look really off or doenst stand out. I think that the bright orange-ish yellow is kinda off as a color already, and it does not go well with the rest of the sprite in any way imo. That being said, I did try to make my version stay in the gold (pun intended) but I see that it leeps leaning towards the barf green, in your point of view. But Jan was right about dark colors turning white, I had a lil bit of trouble on this trying to make the shading just right. No particular inspiration unfortunately. Anyways, here's silver marshadow: Reveal hidden contents I didn't do anything with the eyes because I couldn't find a color that went with this silver-ish. Also, everything else looked kinda weird because Marshadow's eyes are supposed to be flickering, and it really got to me whenever something looked off. So I just left it as is. As I've learned though, sometimes doing that, is the best (Emo Bruxish is basically my best shiny sprite out of the 4 or 5 I've done, and I left the blue alone on it). I Was thinking a full gradient rainbow one would look good and be fitting (prisms and all that) but didnt think I could pull it off so was going to try something else. When restarting for V9, I might request a shiny charm be added to my save at the start so I get to see more of the shinies that we've all worked on together.
