"A-Alright, go get him!" Shouts Wren, jogging up behind the fearsome wyvern and its equally terrifying rider, giving a few short notes on his instrument. See, this was easy! All he had to do was run around behind the scenes and no one was going to get at him! Thank the Goddess...

 

Move to K2 and "bard" Marek to finish off that petty thief.

"Oi, do Ya hear that, theif boi?" Hearing the bard's music, Rider and wyvern alike seemed to have their ferocity again peaked. Marek smirked as he stared down the looter, Erce stalking forward as she licked her lips. Then she charged, and just as before, to marek the world seemed to invert its colors as he called to the elder ones.

"That was the sound of your requiem playing, hope you fucking enjoyed it!"

 

One queen's knight, one looter, a wyvern, and an iron halberd. Four simple things on their own, but together, they were about to spell the very bloody end of a particular criminal's story.

"Such is the price of brigandry." would've been the last thing the man heard before he toppled like a tree from the massive blow. Marek pulled his axe out of his ribs and set his sights on yet another target...

 

a very special target. The craven wandrought who had insulted them all, got haughty when he and the monk retorted and then ordered this whole brawl to begin in the first place. Yes, old captain boi. Without saying a word, for wyvern and rider had been together for so long, words were hardly even needed anymore, Erce took off, looking a bit disappointed at being stopped short of devouring the looter's remains. With a plume of dust under their feet, soon they landed on the front steps of a house not too far from the very man Marek intended to end next.

"Well well well, so this is where you've been hiding?" He smirked. But only because he relished the thought of running this coward through oh so much. "You disappoint me though, old Captain- you insult us Queen's Knights to our faces and then draw your weapons to attack, and after we were so generous to find your little runaway for you... hahahahehe, aaaaaaah man..."

"But enough playing around, asshole. I'll put this plainly- I've already killed a few of your boys, well... one of them, and a random looter who was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time, doing the wrong thing. Now... see normally, I'm a pretty nice dude, I would let something like this slide in most circumstances- what you did though? How you just... ran away from me like that, and let your lackeys fight instead of standing your ground like a man? Pathetic, man... I've gutted bandits with bigger stones than you."

"But hey... like I said, I'm a nice guy. I should just rush you right now and cut you down where you stand. But I'll give ya a chance to make up for your earlier mistake instead- hell, I'll even give you the opportunity to strike first. Just you and me, no one else, ESPECIALLY" he turned his eyes to the fighter nearby

     "Any pesky wandroughts weilding Axes who are in earshot of us. Single Combat, my friend, and who knows, if you actually fight worth a damn, I might find it in my heart to spare your men once you've been reduced to a bloody mess on the ground. You don't have to answer right now though, of course. Your actions in a little bit will tell me all I need to know. Whatever they may be..."

 

 

Canto to J8, issue a challenge to the Captain

Young upstarts these days who think they know everything just because they've fought in a battle or two. "You certainly posture a lot for someone who just likes to start fights," he retorts dryly with a raised eyebrow. "Feeling proud of yourself for killing a man or two? I suppose you think you're something because you're a dragoon. If you're what the Queen's Knights are hiring these days, then maybe Sathor really has gone to the dogs. Keep thinking you're clever, see how far it gets you. Even if I die here today, I'll look forward to seeing you someday in hell. For now, I've got better things to do."

The Captain's javelin manages to find its way past Arthur's armor.

"he....hehehe..." A chuckle ended it's reign however. Followed by another, and another

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA! By the grace of the lunar father, dude, you are so damn predictable. A stick all the way up your ass and a distorted view of reality in your heart all the way to the end- geez, and here I was, extending a gentlemanly challenge to a duel, aaaaaaah. Just as I thought though..."

"You turned out to be a waste of my time. So here, since you ignore me and wanna wail on my comrades, I'll make good on my promise to put each and every last one of you scumbags down, like the rabid dogs you are. Starting with you."

 

Erce was airborn, her shadow spreading over the ground, then before anyone knew it, the Wyvern was diving like a falcon, the wind streaking by faster, faster, her velocity growing, growing, until she was nigh a meteorite. And in those split few seconds in between her diving and ascending right back into the skies, her Rider's eyes were fierce as flames as he lashed out with a harrowing arc of iron, snarling at the captain in disgust, not unlike the Wyvern beneath him did.

 

Anyone who had ever seen a Lestlian Kinshi knight, either training or in actual battle, would probably have recognized the maneuver nigh instantly

 

 

L9, Show the Captain the price of his insolence, Canto to K7

Arthur clicked his tongue at missing the archer. That moment's distraction earned him a javelin that managed to pierce a part of his armor. "Can I leave him to you two? Don't kill him if you don't have to, I think I've just been formally challenged to a fight." Leading with his right foot and kicking into a fast run, he went past the wyvern rider into the tree line circling the captain. "I don't much like people who fight at a range, it counters my fighting style. So let's try again, up close and personal now." 

 

Move to M10 proccing running start and attack Captain with Iron Blade

Swooping down, Marek's halberd connects with the Captain's shoulder, wounding him. Though he manages to get a counter in, his javelin isn't sturdy enough to pierce Erce's scales.

"Fine. If you insist. But they'll only be back to doing misdeeds after this. Filth like this don't deserve to breathe the air they steal from decent folk." Akane said in response to the Knight. Much too forgiving for her tastes. These men had attacked them and being involved with a noble into the gladiatorial business? Clear proof they weren't exactly above the board men. She remembered her people's teachings that all life was precious, that all things had a soul, a purpose. But, if their purpose was to make life miserable for others, to only cause suffering and death... was their life really worth preserving? Perhaps too philosophical a question to ponder in the middle of a battle. She'd give the Knight this one however. She couldn't promise she stay her blade further however.

She made a strike towards the poor archer's head with the pommel of her blade, hoping he'd slip out of consciousness, rather than his mortal coil. However, Marcus's light came down before she could even strike. Perhaps... it was for the better. The man was probably much more capable of mercy than she.

She sought new quarry seeing as the situation here was covered. Akane spotted a rather wounded fighter nearby. He wielded an axe. A mistake surely as the slow weapon would be his downfall. He'd not really be able to protect himself from the deft strike of her sword. She ran towards him, making a swipe at his abdomen aiming to cut him open and end his miserable existence.

Move to P7, Attack Fighter 3 with Iron Sword.

Marek had looked around after he landed on the roof, searching the area yet coming up with nothing. It was a difficult sensation to describe, but just a moment or two ago, he could've sworn he'd heard something extremely faint on the winds... he just couldn't put his finger on who had said it, or where they were...

"Hey erce, did you hear that too? my ears are burning, almost like... someone was trying to talk shit about us...hmmm... perhaps it was my imagination. Probably just one of these poor wandroughts who thought they could start something with us."

The wyvern only snorted in response. She'd heard the entire thing a thousand times better than the rider probably ever would, but she didn't really care. There was still rabble to clean up. 

 

Not long after though, the captain went down, a fresh new arrow lodged in him.

"Well damn, I was hoping to finish the fucker myself. Oh well, not like he was the only one around here who has something coming to him...so long as he's dead, I don't suppose it matters either way." With that said though, there came the tune of a familiar bard

Rokan grit his teeth as the axeman struck him, his armor not able to withstand the hit. “Darn it.” Rokan grabbed another arrow as he dashed past the trees, taking position in the clear road. The archer kept a straight look at his opponent, noticing his movements seemed a bit more predictable. Rokan took a glance over to the little kid with an axe. "That'd explain it." He leaned over towards him before preparing his attack. "Nice job, kid."

"oi, you there! Archer!" The rider's voice called from the heavens as his Wyvern dropped down in front of Rokan, sizing up the wounded Mercenary. "So you're the one who killed Captain Wandrought then, seeing as how you're toting his lance. Why don't ya pass it on over though; It'll be put to much better use in my hands than yours."

"Hehe, plus I bet it would annoy the poor bastard to no end if a few of his men died to his own weapon. Who knows, he really might see us in hell someday, but I'll be sending a few of his boys his way first."

 

N10, Trade with Rokan

“Lance?” Rokan checked his person, only barely listening to what the man had to say. To his surprise, he found a small lance on him, recognizing it from the man he had incapacitated earlier. “Must’ve grabbed this somewhere.” Rokan gave it a light toss, handing it over to the wyvern rider. “Sure, go nuts. You handle those randwrotes or whatever.” 

 

Trade Slim Lance to Marek

Taking his attention away from the rider, he looked over to the small child beside him. “Didja expect any less from me.” Rokan gave the boy a smirk as he spoke. “I ain’t some random city guard, I’m a Queen’s Knight." Rokan smacked his pauldron, another dull noise resonating from it."Best of the best. Nothing like these kiddies we’re dealing with.”

"Good, good. Now then...Heeey, Merc Boi, what's happening?" He turned around to the Mercenary, absorbing the lance with what seemed to be a black flame, much like the one he'd summoned his current weapon with,

"Yeeeah, see you and your buddies here have caused quite the disturbance, soooo... if you could just go ahead and fuck off, yeeeah that would be greaaat, M'kay?" He accentuated the final drawn out syllable with a sudden hack of his halberd, bringing it down with harrowing force towards the man's skull...
