TheShapeShifter
Hi everyone ! After spending a long time thinking about an interesting challenge, i've decided to do a completionist run. Some of you might wonder why a completionist run since it's the main objective of pokemons games, well I'm the kind of person who wants to catch'em all no matter the challenge i'm doing, i'm a perfectionnist guy and i like to spend hours looking under every rocks to find a hidden potion, plus this will be my "first run" of this game, even if it's not totally exact because i already played until just before the fight against shelly, i've never got further. Then i've decided to add some rules to make this run more interesting and challenging (and fun !) for you and me. Here are the main rules i'll have to follow : -I must play all the game in "set mode" in order to make battles more interesting and realists. -I must catch every pokemons of each and every areas before the end of the game. If I forget pokemons or events, I'm counting on you ! And if the weather doesn't allow me to catch some mons, I'll catch them later. -I must collect every important items, every field effects and PULSE datas. -The starter will be decided by the random pokemon generator. I'll generate teams of 6 mons, and the first starter (or evolved starter) that comes out will be the one i pick. -I must keep the starter in my team the whole game. -Between each gyms, I have to train 2 new pokemons (or more if i have time to do so) and to replace 2 of my current team by the news. 2 new pokemons will be randomly chosen in the PC by the random number generator, so luck will be an important factor. I must keep these 2 new mons for the next gym (they can be replaced after that gym, or not, in case they're doing well ). -I'm not allowed to use any healing items. (Status items are fine though) If you've got suggestions or even some pieces of advice, please let me know ! BONUS : The RNG has chosen my starter for this run. Spoiler I'm gonna pick Chespin. That's cool because i've never used him before, i'm hoping he does well

TheShapeShifter
Episode 1 Spoiler Let's begin this journey by choosing my starter. As you may have seen, the RNG has decided and i'll pick Chespin ! After 174 soft-resets (more or less), I finally got one with a good nature and very good IV's. As to the ability, I don't know if it's interesting but it's ok ! Spoiler Not bad huh? After that, I met Cain and Victoria who wanted me to fight them, a good opportunity to see how Chespin's doing. Spoiler Surprinsigly, at least for me, Chespin is really tanky ! I took down Nidoran and Tepig with 3 or 4 tackles. Now It's time to explore the city, and to catch some pokemons, I've got a lot of work... I won't detail everything, but to sum up, I've started with the Opal bridge, then a man gave me his last rod so i fished some pokemons. Later, I found a garden in the western part of the peridot ward, some people gave me some mons, I found some others into abandoned houses, and i spent a lot of time in alleyways and caves to catch some others (I'll show you my PC later). I met the hateful Fern, goddamn I hate him so much, he'll take a beating xD Spoiler I lead with Sludgie, who knocked out Lotad in 2 sludges. He also knocked out Snivy with 2 others sludges. I switched for Helia since sludge doesn't deal much damages, and I took Budew down by spamming confusion. Easy fight. Oh wait, that's true, I forgot it's just luck, haha. Well, let's go to the gym, I want to get my first badge ! Hey Julia, how are y... Boom. What ? You need some help defeating team meteor in their hideout ? No problem, I'm always fine to help people who need it.... until i am teamed up with Fern. Well, the grunts were quite easy, nothing special here. After searching for bombs, for nothing at last, we managed to break into the last room of the factory, where we met the boss of the team meteor, as well as the underlings, Eclipse and Aster. Spoiler Well, sorry for the missing screen. I lead with Gold, my Goldeen, who has the ability Lightningrod, so this was an easy fight : Elekid kept on using shock wave on me which did me nothing, and Magby spammed Fire spin on Fern's mons (Too bad for him haha). We took down Elekid first, then we got rid of Magby. The warm-up is over now, let's go to the gym to finally get my first badge ! My team before Julia : Spoiler VS JULIA Spoiler I first sent out Helia, who got stunned by thundershock, but I finally took him down using confusion. I then switched her out for Harp, my Kricketune, the 2 Voltorbes are very very annoying with sonicboom, fortunately, I had luck because he missed 2 sonicbooms in a row, while Harp stacked fury cutters (Julia used all of her potions on the first voltorb). I struggled against the first one because he was healed, but i one shot the second. Erf, Emolga is without any doubt faster than Harp, I switched for Sludgie and spammed Sludge, which poisoned Emolga and finally killed him. Blitzle was the easiest mon to defeat. I sent out Gold, and Blitzle was biting the dirt in just two horn attacks. Julia's ace, finally. He finished Gold with sonicboom, then i sent out my ace too, Spade the Chespin. I first used leech seed, then I spammed vine whip, boosted by rose incense. I got luck once again, cause Electrode used Rollout instead of sonicboom. Yaaah, first badge : acquired. Last but not least, here's my PC after Julia : Spoiler And my pokedex's stats : Seen : 85 Owned : 35 It's now time to know which are the 2 new pokemons I have to use to defeat Florinia... Spoiler Mmh.. on the one hand, they're both useful to get the second badge, on the other hand, i don't recall having used one of them in any pokemon games, in their evolved form, they're still a little weak, but the main objective of this run is to use some random pokemons, so that it's not too easy, and it allows me to get accustomed to not-so-often used pokemons, and who knows, maybe i'll change my mind if they're doing well I hope you'll enjoy, and i'm sorry for my bad grammar, see ya !
