Zen
A singles team from Dodrio? What is this? Wait, and it's NOT a monotype? Blapshemy! The premise is simple if you go through it. --- Cloyster (F) @ Focus Sash Trait: Overcoat EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Ice Shard - Rapid Spin - Spikes - Toxic Spikes --- Sableye (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Prankster EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Night Shade - Taunt - Will-O-Wisp - Recover --- Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sand Stream EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Crunch - Roar - Slack Off --- Tentacruel (F) @ Air Balloon Trait: Liquid Ooze EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Scald - Acid Spray - Giga Drain - Rapid Spin --- Buphthalmos (Jellicent) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Hex - Will-O-Wisp - Taunt - Recover --- Batman (Gliscor) (M) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Poison Heal EVs: 252 Def / 255 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Aerial Ace - Swords Dance - Agility --- So. A mixed stall team without skarmory or those bastard eggs in it. Or ferrothorn, which seems to be very popular again. It has dual Spinners and also dual Taunters, to deal with opposing stall teams. Then, it has two Spin-blockers, which themselves are no strangers to the stalling game. Hippowdon's there to blast setups out of the scene, or to harass people with sand - also another common element of the stall war. Basically, the only two types of teams that have really given this one headaches thus far have been steel-heavy teams or flying/Levitate teams. diana
Simple team. I've played it, it's pretty good, just barely lost to it.

slant
Hi Zen, neat team! I really like that your stall team packs 2 rapid spinners, 2 taunters, etc. It's like you want to have a backup for everything and as they say, luck favors the prepared My biggest concern with the team is that your stall core is worn down waaaay too easily. The two key members of your stall are Cloyster and Tentacruel, which you rely on to spin and set up hazards. None of them have access to a recovery move, and your ev spread on tentacruel make it an all out attacker. It's hard enough keeping a bulky tentacruel alive outside of rain, let alone one that's not bulky. Wish support would be really beneficial. A few other nitpicks: 1) Nobody benefits from sand, so I don't see why you need Hippowdon. 2) Your team is lacking in resists, which is key if you're trying to stall. For instance, nobody on your team can take a dragon attack which is a pretty glaring weakness. Specs Latios, DD dragonite, CB Haxorus are all pretty common threats that look like they can blast holes through your team. In order to fix all of these problems, I suggest: 1) Change Tentacruel to a bulkier spread, 2) Add some steel types for resistances. Maybe Bronzong over Hippowdon or Forretress over Cloyster and 3) Add some wish support. Chansey/Blissey would be an obvious choice but if you don't want them, there are plenty of other viable ones: Defensive Jirachi, Vaporeon, Latias. Regenerator Alomomola seems cool too but I can't vouch for it. Hope this helps.
diana
Yeah. That Hippowdon looks to be more of a Physical Wall, than a sandstorm user. it worked on Flygon >

But valid points, nonetheless.
