Episode 13 - Police Round Up! (Part 2) Fern The Jackass & Double(?) Battle With Taka & ZEL!

Quakez reaches up to the Beryl Ward. To the right is a bridge and to the left is another forest. He decides to go through the forest, betting that’s a better place for them to have the PULSE Machine than somewhere on the bridge. As he’s walking through the forest, he steps through leaves and falls into a hole and gets knocked out. When he comes to, he finds himself in a cage and some Nuzleaf. They appear to laugh at him and run away. About an hour later, someone comes by. It’s Fern! Quakez is happy to see Fern so he can help him out. But Fern laughs and walks away.

 

Quakez is shocked and furious with Fern for walking away. But Fern does return and says he had to walk away so he didn’t laugh in Quakez’s face for being caught in a cage. Fern calls Quakez helpless and this just gets him more mad. That respect Quakez had for Fern when they first met was starting to fade away. Fern explains that he’s up in the Beryl Ward to find the Gym Leader and has already obtained two badges. He then says he’ll help you out as long as Quakez gets on his knees and begs. Quakez replies back with he’ll only do that if Fern gets on his hands and knees and barks like a dog or meows like a cat, chuckling to himself. Fern gets mad and leaves, leaving Quakez in the cage. A couple of minutes goes by and a Chatot comes by, saying “Release Quakez” and releases him. Quakez tries to follow the Chatot but it disappears into the forest. Was that Taka’s Chatot? Well now that Quakez was free, he continued on his journey to find the PULSE Machine and the rest of the Police Officers. He checks a cave and finds that a Police Officer is trapped inside a cage similar to what he was trapped in. He pulls the lever and the cop is released. The cop says that he fell into a hole and the Nuzleaf carried him into the cage and trapped him in there. He thanks Quakez and goes to the Police Station.

 

Quakez walks further into the forest and comes across a big building. He goes inside and sees a survivor inside it. The survivor tells Quakez that he’ll heal his Pokemon. Quakez thanks him. He asks the man what this place is. He tells him it’s a Library and the plants have really messed this place up. Quakez asks if he can look around and the man says sure. As soon as his Pokemon get healed explores all the rooms. The last room, he sees a Growlithe staring down a hole. Quakez goes over and looks down. It seems to be a body all mangled up. He seems to be a Police Officer. The Growlithe runs away, with tears in its eyes and Quakez says a prayer for the fallen Officers family. He leaves the library and continues his way deeper into the forest.

 

Quakez walks into, what appears to be, an abandoned building. He sees yet another Team Meteor Grunt holding a Police Officer hostage. Before the Grunt can say anything, Quakez sends out his Wishy Washy. The Grunt sends out his Mightyena. After swapping back and forth Snarls and Aqua Tails, Wishy Washy knocks out the Mightyena. The Grunt sends in a Growlithe. Quakez remembers the Growlithe that was in the library and the dead Police Officer. Quakez thinks about how Team Meteor has caused that Police Officer’s death and pain to his family. He yells at the Grunt and swears he’ll take them all down and orders Dreidel to use Psybeam. Growlithe strikes first with Fire Fang. The Growlithe then uses Reversal which does little damage as Dreidel retaliates back with another Psybeam. The Grunt tells Growlithe to use Flame Wheel but again does little damage. Dreidel finishes the Growlithe off with a Confusion attack and wins the battle. The Police Officer thanks Quakez and informs him that Meteor members were gathering up further ahead and to be careful. The Officer goes back to the Police Station. Before he leaves, Quakez tells him about the dead Police Officer in the library. The Police Officer, holding back his tears, tells him that he'll tell the Police Chief and thanks for finding him.

 

Quakez leaves the building and goes down. As he continues he could see the PULSE Machine, the Tangrowth, Taka, ZEL and another Team Meteor member. Quakez runs up to them with Taka and ZEL recognizing him. Taka and ZEL tell the Meteor member about how he stopped the PULSE Machine in the forest next to Jasper Ward and the Obsidia Park. As this Meteor Grunt is about to battle Quakez, Heather comes flying down on her Salamence. ZEL reveals that Heather is the daughter to the Beryl Ward Gym Leader but the Meteor member stops them there before they could say anymore. Heather exclaims that she’s there to beat the bad people. As the Meteor member and Heather argue with each other, he tells both Taka and ZEL to eliminate Quakez as he deals with the girl. Taka and ZEL send out Lileep and Glaceon as Quakez sends out Boney and Wishy Washy. Glaceon uses Ice Fang on Wishy Washy doing minimal damage. Wishy Washy misses his Aqua Tail. Boney uses Iron Head on Glaceon and knocks it out in one hit. Lileep uses Confuse Ray on Wishy Washy and connects. ZEL next sends out Espeon. Espeon sets up a Future Sight Attack. Wishy Washy hits itself in confusion but Boney is able to hit Espeon with Bonemerang and two shots Espeon down. Lileep again uses Confuse Ray and Boney gets confused. ZEL sends out his last Pokemon which is Umbreon. Wishy Washy misses his Aqua Tail as Umbreon hits Faint Attack on Boney. Boney hits himself in confusion and Lileep takes out Wishy Washy with Acid. Quakez next sends out TongueClumsy. Umbreon uses Confuse Ray on TongueClumsy and hits it but unfortunately, it gets double teamed with Acrobatics and Bonemerang knocking it out, taking ZEL out of the battle. TongueClumsy uses Acrobatics on Lileep, making it faint. Espeon’s Future Sight Attack finally comes and hits TongueClumsy. Taka’s next Pokemon is the PULSE Tangrowth. Tangrowth gets double teamed with TongueClumsy’s Acrobatics and Boney’s Bonemerang and faints. Taka sends in his last Pokemon which is Chatot. The battle ends with TongueClumsy one shotting the Chatot with Acrobatics, sealing the victory for Quakez and his team. With the PULSE Machine now inoperable, ZEL says there’s no point in defending the location. Taka suggests they flee and ZEL goes with him. The Meteor member that’s battling Heather calls back his Crobat, annoyed with ZEL and Taka just leaving. He then tries to run back into the Beryl Ward as Heather and Quakez pursuits him. As they catch up with him, Quakez sees the Police Chief and the Police Officers he’s saved. The Meteor member seems shocked, exclaiming that the grunts should have detained them. The Chief explains that if it wasn’t for Quakez, they probably still would be. As the Meteor member turns to me, the Chief quickly yanks off the hoodie revealing who it is. He has purple hair and most of his clothing is purple too. Heather shrieks as she realizes that it was her father. Quakez stands there in shock. Heather, not being able to handle her father being one of the bad guys, takes off on Salamence. The Chief, also in shock, exclaims that it’s one of the Reborn Gym Leaders and his name is Corey. He questions him why he would join Team Meteor. Corey scoffs and tells them that he’s not the only Gym Leader with Team Meteor. The Chief is shocked by this knowledge but tells Corey that he’s going to be behind bars soon. He yells at the Chief that all he’s actually done is hurt his daughter by unmasking him like this. Corey challenges the Chief and Officers to arrest him at his gym if they want to so bad and vanishes. The Chief thinks it’s a trap but they most go and apprehend them and they leave. Quakez, still shocked, decides to go to the PokeCenter in Beryl Ward to rest up. He decides that since the Police Officers and the Chief are dealing with Corey, he should wait a bit and try to have some fun while waiting.

Episode 14 - Splishy Splashy Wishy Washy

Quakez went back into the forest in Beryl Ward. After some exploring, there was a little opening in the bushes. He went through and saw a river which hasn’t been touch by the poison water. So he decided to send out all his Pokemon and have a fun day with them. Quakez laid on the grass, King Nido was talking a nap, TongeClumsy, Dreidel and Goggles were playing with each other, Boney was practicing his Bonemerang attack and Wishy Washy was swimming in the river. A half hour into their relaxation day, Wishy Washy swam up into a wild Quagsire. Wishy Washy was splashing the water in excitement hoping the Quagsire would play with it. Instead, the Quagsire looked at little Barboach and got mad. It used Water Gun and sprayed Wishy Washy away. Quakez sat up and watched as Wishy Washy was swiftly swimming back to the Quagsire. Wishy Washy attempted to use Aqua Tail but Quagsire used Mud Shot and made Wishy Washy fly into the air. It then used Scald and Wishy Washy flew into a tree. Quakez and his other Pokemon ran over to Wishy Washy and they all ran to the PokeCenter, with Wishy Washy in Quakez arms. They make it to the PokeCenter and Nurse Joy takes Wishy Washy into the back to fix him up. Quakez and his other Pokemon waited in the waiting room. Quakez kept thinking about Wishy Washy. Wishy Washy may annoy Quakez with his daydreaming while during a battle but he was a good Pokemon and just liked having fun. He hoped Wishy Washy would be ok. After a few hours, Nurse Joy came out and told Quakez that Wishy Washy is ok and Quakez and his Pokemon can see him now. She took them to big tanks that held Aquatic Pokemon in them so they could heal better and swim around. Quakez and his Pokemon went up to the tank and Barboach swam up to Quakez but he didn’t have his normal smile and goofy laugh. He looked kinda down and sad. Quakez told him that it wasn’t his fault for what happened to him. He suggests that battling it again might make Wishy Washy more happy. Wishy Washy flails happily. Everyone goes to sleep. The next day, Quakez, along with his Pokemon, goes to the river and spots the wild Quagsire who hurt Wishy Washy. Quakez sends out Wishy Washy and orders it to use Mud Bomb. The Quagsire blows it up by using Mud Shot. It uses Water Gun but Wishy Washy sends it back by using Aqua Tail and hits Quagsire in the face. Wishy Washy uses Mud Bomb again and this time hits Quagsire. Quagsire splashes back down into the water. It gets back up and shrouds the area with Mist. While Wishy Washy tries to see through the Mist, Quagsire uses it’s Scald attack and hits Whishy Washy and then uses Mud Shot. Wishy Washy is hurt and is almost finished but it starts to daydream about the the day before and does not want to lose. Quagsire thinks that since it’s daydreaming, that it’s not paying attention and goes for Scald. But Wishy Washy snaps back to reality in time and dives into the water, avoiding the Scald attack. Quakez tells it to swim as fast as it can around the Quagsire while using Aqua Tail. Wishy Washy does and as it does some damage to Quagsire, it also gets rid of the Mist. Wishy Washy then uses Aqua Tail again and sends Quagsire flying into the air. Quakez yells to Wishy Washy to use Mud Bomb. He does but the Quagsire again blows it up with Mud Shot but this time, the mud splashes onto its face, blinding it. Quakez then has Wishy Washy use Water Pulse and it hits Quagsire hard. Quagsire falls to the ground. As it tries to get up, Quakez has Wishy Washy finish it off with Magnitude. Wishy Washy wins the battle and Quagsire goes into the forest. Quakez, along with his Pokemon, run up to the river edge and congratulates Wishy Washy. Wishy Washy is really happy, splashing the water, screaming with happiness. Then, he starts to glow. He gets longer and bigger. Quakez watches in awe as his friend is evolving. He stops glowing and Wishy Washy has now evolved into Whiscash.

Wishy Washy looks at itself in the reflection of the water and starts splashing for joy for evolving. Quakez and the Pokemon laugh as Wishy Washy splashes with excitement. Then, without notice, he fires a light blue beam and it hits Quakez, freezing him in ice. Quakez stops splashing and shows concern for his trainer and swims up to the rivers edge to check on him. On one side, King Nido uses Double Kick while on the other side, Boney uses Bone Club to break some of the ice off. Then, Dreidel uses its Confusion attack to break the ice in half and get Quakez out. Quakez looks at Wishy Washy. Wishy Washy expects Quakez to yell at him but he doesn’t. Quakez tells Wishy Washy not to feel bad and that he’s proud of him for learning Ice Beam when he evolved. Everybody has a nice laugh about what happened to Quakez.

Episode 15 - Crippling Reality! Quakez VS Gym Leader Corey!

The next day, Quakez wakes up, gets ready for his adventure and leaves the PokeCenter to go to Beryl Ward’s Gym. He wondered if the police had apprehended Corey yet. As he went inside, he saw the Police Chief and the Police Officers but they were acting weird. The Chief explained that after spending some time looking for Corey, the containers spewed some kind of gas out. He was able to escape but when he went back inside, his Police Officers were acting weird and not listening to him. He asks Quakez for help and he replies with he’ll see what he can do. He battle the Police Officers and they all return back to their senses. Then Quakez figures out the puzzle of the Gym, which is to make all the gases in the container turn blue. He walks into, what appears to be, a living room. He walks into the next room and sees Corey. Corey, sensing that Quakez has made it into his room, starts ranting about how he has sabotaged his PULSE Machines, brought back together the Police Force and having them reveal himself in front of his own daughter. Quakez says that he’s sorry for what happened. He was just trying to be a good guy and stop Team Meteor. Corey tells him to meet him in his arena so he can show Quakez misery. Quakez prepares himself and heads up to the arena. He stands on the other side of the arena, facing Corey. He says that his daughter may never talk to him again and blames Quakez for everything. Quakez again tries to explain everything but Corey activates the containers inside the arena, releasing a toxic gas. Corey explains that any Pokemon will get poisoned during battle unless they’re Steel or Poison Types. The battle begins and Corey sends out Skrelp while Quakez sends out King Nido. King Nido uses Horn Attack and Skrelp retaliates with Bubble. King Nido uses Horn Attack again and brings down the Skrelp. Corey sends out Croagunk while Quakez switches in Dreidel. Corey tells Croagunk to use Drain Punch, which does little damage and gets taken out but Dreidel’s Psybeam attack. The poison mist poisons Dreidel. Corey sends out his Skuntank and Quakez sends out Boney. Skuntank lands an Acid Spray but gets knocked out by Boney’s Bonemerang. The poison mists also poisons Boney. Corey sends in Nidorina. Quakez calls back Boney and sends out Goggles. Nidorina hits a Bite attack and then Goggles goes for Dig. It gets poisoned from the poison mist. Nidorina misses its next attack but faints after getting hit by Goggles Dig attack. Corey sends out a Grimer. Quakez keeps in Goggles. He tells Goggles to use Bulldoze and one shots the Grimer. Corey sends in his last Pokemon, his ace, Crobat. Quakez chooses his newly eolved Whiscash, Wishy Washy. Crobat tries to set up with Nasty Plot, but thanks to Wishy Washy’s newly learned Ice Beam, it hits Crobat and faints, giving the victory to Quakez. After the battle, Corey asks Quakez to come to Beryl Bridge. Before Quakez even thinks about going there, he takes his Pokemon to the PokeCenter to heal there poison. He quickly leaves and heads for Beryl Bridge. Quakez sees that Corey has all of his Pokemon out of their PokeBalls. He releases all of his Pokemon.

 

Quakez is shocked and asks why he did that and what’s going on with him. Corey tells him the story of how his wife died. He bought a Ruby Ring and proposed to his darling woman, which she accepted. After being proposed, she became pregnant with their daughter, Heather. He reveals that his wife didn’t survive the birth. Despite being told it was because of mechanical reasons, he felt like she was killed by her doctor. Quakez apologizes about the death of his wife but questions why he joined with Team Meteor. Corey explains that his wife’s doctor was actually part of Team Meteor and had taken her Ruby Ring and would not return it. He made a deal that if he joined Team Meteor, he had to be the one to keep the Ruby Ring. He insists that that was the last bit of happiness he had left. He admits what he had done to Heather was wrong. Quakez stands there, speechless. Corey tells him that Heather has the Ruby Ring and to watch over her because Team Meteor would be trying to steal that ring. Corey then jumps up onto the ledge of the bridge.

 

Quakez freaks out and asks him what the fuck he’s doing. Corey’s final words…

 

Quakez stands there shocked and shook. He can’t believe what he’s just witnessed. Suddenly, he hears a voice, calling Corey a moron for jumping off the bridge. He looks over and sees that it’s Fern. Quakez, trying to hold back tears, asks him how he could say that to someone who just killed himself. Fern responds by saying he didn’t know the dumb-wad. So why should he care. He also points out that Quakez didn’t even get the badge from him before he threw himself off the bridge. Quakez, finally no longer to keep his anger in control, goes off on Fern. Calling him any name he can think of, tells him off on how he makes fun of him for the Gym Challenge and how he could be so damn heartless! Just as Fern is about to yell back, they both hear a loud explosion below the bridge. They see a lot of smoke rising. Fern says it’s coming from the North Obsidia Ward at the Grand Stairway and leaves to see what’s going on. Quakez stays at the Beryl Bridge and breaks down. He just saw someone throw themselves off a bridge, a heartless son of a bitch who always constantly has to be rude to him for no reason and now an explosion. What else can happen? Quakez tries to calm himself and goes to look somewhere so he can let out his emotions to himself.

Episode 16 - Quakez Gets Comforted And Lets It All Out

Quakez searches all of Beryl and Jasper Wards but doesn’t find anywhere to just sit and think. He searches back down in the Peridot Ward and finds an empty building. He goes to the other side of the room and sits down. He knows he let it all out earlier but he just tries to keep all of his emotions inside. He closes his eyes and starts thinking about all the bad things that’s happened since he’s gotten to the Reborn Region. He first thinks about the bombing at the train station. His adventure literally began with a terrorist attack. He still blames himself for not doing anything or at least not letting anyone know about the strange person in the black costume. He then starts thinking about Fern. Or as Quakez calls him, CatDog. Fern seemed like an… OK guy. Not the easiest person to get used to but Quakez tried. But then Fern just seemed to get worse and worse each time the two saw each other. He tried to stop him from facing Florina for her badge, he gave Quakez a choice between humiliating himself or making him leave refusing to beg and then actually leaving when Quakez wouldn’t beg and now he showed his true colors by not showing any kind of emotion about seeing someone just kill themselves. Like what is wrong with him? How can he be so heartless? He then starts thinking about the PULSE Machines and all the destruction they’ve caused and how he was basically too late to stop it from destroying cities and taking lives. And he couldn’t help but just still hate Team Meteor. They were the ones behind all of this! And the last bad thing to happen was not being able to do anything as Corey killed himself by jumping off the Beryl Bridge. Quakez never saw anything like that. That would be implanted into his mind forever. Quakez keeps trying to keep it together but then, he hears all his PokeBalls open and his Pokemon come out. He opens his eyes and see his Pokemon come closer to him, comforting him. He then starts remembering all the good things that’s happened to him since he’s been here. He’s met so many good people. Ame, Cain, Victoria, Julia, Florina, Amaria. Heck. He even thinks Taka seems like a good person despite being in Team Meteor. He then starts thinking back to his gym battles. His first ever Gym Battle against Julia. The feeling he got when he won his first badge from her. He loved the feeling of winning his second badge from Florina just the same. He then starts thinking of his Pokemon. His old friend King Nido was the first to evolve, giving Quakez his first taste of Pokemon Evolution. Then Boney being brave made him evolve into Marowak. And just a couple of days ago, his Wishy Washy evolved into Whiscash and even learned a new move. Thinking all of that, he smiles and finally starts crying letting out all of his frustrations and emotions. But he wasn’t alone. His Pokemon were there for him. He hugged them. He was so thankful for the Pokemon he had with him on the journey. After spending some time in the building, Quakez walks out and starts heading towards North Obsidia Ward feeling like himself again with a smile on his face.

Episode 17 - Suicide Aftermath And Saving Victoria

Quakez walks up the North Obsidia Ward. He sees a lot of people standing in front of him, looking at something. He gets through the crowd and sees a huge gaping hole in, what he can only assume is, the Grand Stairway. What could possibly do this and why would anyone want to make the city more bad than it already is? Quakez decides to move on. He goes through the gate and finds himself now in the Lapis Ward. As he’s walking around the place, he bumps into a girl talking to herself in front of a building. She mumbles something about vengeance. She notices him and apologizes for being in his way and leaves. He looks at the sign in front of the building. It says “Dr. Connal’s Orphanage and Psychiatric Treatment Center.” Why would you want vengeance on an orphanage he wonders to himself. He battles a couple of trainers and reaches a building that looks like a Gym. Again, there’s a little crowd in front of it. He walks over to the side of it and sees Victoria and another girl standing there. Victoria is hugging the girl, trying to comfort her. Quakez looks at the wall and the floor. It’s covered with blood. He looks behind the girls and sees Corey’s mangled body. He remembers watching Corey jump from the ledge of the bridge above. The girl starts to cry. Victoria tells the girl, who we find out is named Shelly, to not cry and to go inside the gym with her. Shelly seems to know Heather and her father. Up on the rooftops, the two Meteor Grunts, Eclipse and Aster and confirm to the other Grunts that Corey is dead. Victoria accuses them of doing it but Aster denies it. Eclipse tells her to keep her nose out of their business. Aster blurts out that Team Meteor are going to be gathering at the Grand Stairway. Victoria, putting two and two, together figures out that it was Team Meteor that was behind the bombing. Eclipse tells Aster to shut up and they both leave. Victoria turns around to have the three of them go inside but she screams. Shelly and Quakez gets shook from it and asks why she screamed. She points to the air. A shadowy figure can be seen floating about them. Shelly, in a surprising calm way, tells them both that it’s Shade. As Victoria asks what he’s doing here, Shade makes the body disappear and vanishes. Victoria urges everyone to get inside before anything more weird happens. Everyone goes inside and into Shelly’s room. Victoria explains to Quakez that Shelly and her were about to battle for Shelly’s badge when they saw Corey fall from the bridge through the window. Victoria tells him that she plans on going to the Grand Stairway to see what’s going on and asks Quakez for help. Quakez agrees. She tells Shelly she’s gonna take off for a little while. Shelly apologizes to Victoria for making her worry. Victoria tells her not to and that she didn’t do anything wrong. She rushes out the door. Quakez asks Shelly if he could do anything for her and she says no. Quakez then leaves and goes for the Grand Stairway. As soon as Quakez climbs down the hole, Victoria screams for help. Eclipse and Aster are holding her captive. Eclipse plans on baiting Quakez by locking away Victoria, making Quakez chase them deeper into the cave to meet their boss. They run away, with Victoria deeper into the cave. Quakez travels through the crystal filled cave. This calms him and made him more confident in saving Victoria. He comes to what looks like a chamber. He walks own the stairs and looks over and sees the Leader of Team Meteor. He motions for Quakez to come nearer. As Quakez comes closer, he sees a door with green, blue, red and purple lines going to the center. The Leader tells him that behind the door is the core of Reborn. He hates how a wretched city has been built on top of something so ancient. So mysterious. He then starts naming some kind of crystals. Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Amethyst and how each one is a key of some sort. Quakez thinks back to Corey talking about the Ruby Ring. Could that be one of the keys that this guy is talking about? He then says that when they all are collected, they will restore Reborn to how it used to be. Quakez stands there, still staring at the door. The Leader says that both he and the girl can go and to do whatever he wants to to the two grunts guarding her. He then leaves. Quakez goes up to Asteer and Eclipse who are holding Victoria hostage in the corner. Both are upset and annoyed that their boss didn’t do anything to stop him. They both decide that there’s no other choice but to battle both of them. They send out Solrock and Lunatone as Victoria sends out Pignite and Quakez sends out TongueClumsy. Pignite starts with an Arm Thrust on Solrock. TongueClumsy almost takes out Lunatone with a Knock Off. Both the Lunatone and Solrock use Rock Polish. Solrock then uses Psywave on TongueClumsy. Both TongueClumsy and Pignite team up against the Lunatone with Knock Off and Arm Thrust and knock it out. Magmar comes out next. Both Magmar and Solrock use Fire Spin on TongueClumsy. Again, TongueClumsy and Pignite double team the Solrock and knock it out of the battle. Their last Pokemon is Electabuzz. Electabuzz uses Swift, damaging Pignite and knocking out TongueClumsy. Magmar uses Fire Spin on Pignite, doing little damage. Pignite uses Arm Thrust on Electabuzz but gets paralyzed in the process. Quakez next sends out Goggles. Electabuzz hits Pignite with a Thundershock while Magmar almost knocks out Goggles with a Flame Burst. Goggles goes underground as Pignite Arm Thrusts Electabuzz. They use a Super Potion on Electabuzz as Magmar goes for Flame Burst but misses. Goggles hits Magmar with a Dig attack and one shots it. Pignite Heat Smashes Electabuzz. The Electabuzz knocks out Goggles with a Low Kick and Pignite gets stuck with paralyzed. Quakez sends out Dreidel. Electabuzz uses Swift as Dreidel and Pignite double team it with Extrasensory and Heat Smash. Electabuzz knocks out Pignite with a Shock Wave but it goes down to Dreidel’s Extrasensory, giving the team of Quakez and Victoria the win. Aster and Eclipse flee. Quakez asks her if she’s ok. She says she’s fine and that all the leader did was talk to her. Quakez says that he talked to him too. She wonders why he told them about all of the stuff. She remembers about Shelly and runs off to her. Quakez gets out of the cave and rests up at the PokeCenter.

Episode 18 - Cooling Down With The Aqua Gang

After resting up at the PokeCenter, Quakez decided to check out the city. He was worried about Shelly but he knew Victoria was with her and everything would be ok. He walked into an alleyway and saw two people dressed in red blocking the rest of the way into the alleyway. When they saw Quakez, they ran up to him to get out of there. He tried asking why but they just kept pushing and yelling at him. Quakez couldn’t take anymore and just leaves. He goes looking around the city. He sees another alleyway and goes down it. This time, he sees two people in blue blocking the path of the alleyway. But unlike the other people, these two politely tell him to turn and leave. He asks why and say that they’re a gang. They also inform Quakez they’re at war with a gang called The Magma Gang. That must have been the people he met with earlier. Quakez asks if he can join them. They think about it and say that if he beats them in a battle, they’ll let him pass and talk to their leader. After a long and hard fought battle, Quakez takes the victory. The two Aqua Gang members, impressed with Quakez, lets him through to meet the Gang Leader. Qaukez introduces himself to the leader and he welcomes Quakez to the gang. He introduces himself as Archie and the two people Quakez battled are Mannie and Razzy. He also introduces us to two more Aqua Gang members, Defacto and Pierce. Archie tells Quakez to meet up with him and the other members in an abandoned house in the Lapis Ward to discuss what they’re gonna do. Quakez goes and reaches the house. He goes in and sees Archie, DeFacto & Pierce. Quakez asks where Mannie and Razzy are. Archie tells him they’re gonna keep their hideout safe, so it’ll just be the four of them. Archie lets out what’s going on and tells them that the Magma Gang have their eye on a rare Pokemon that’s owned by a rich person. He plans to have them stop Team Magma so they can’t blame them for it. DeFacto tells Quakez that the rich person’s name is Ms. Elena Craudberry. He starts getting carried away, calling her names such as hag and spinster. Archie shuts him up and tells them to move out. As Quakez goes inside the house everybody is meeting, he sees an Aqua Gang member holding back, who can only be, Ms. Craudberry. He goes into the next room and starts battling his way through the Magma Gang members. He takes the Pokemon and everyone escapes from the place. Quakez runs back to the Aqua Gang hideout and talks to Archie. He thanks Quakez for his help and tells him they’re gonna take a break and think of their next move. Both Quakez and Archie shakes hands and heads to Shelly’s Gym.

Episode 19 - Fixing Shelly's Broken Shell

Quakez returns to Shelly’s Gym/Home and goes upstairs. She finds Victoria hugging Shelly. She thanks Quakez again for helping her get out of the grasp of Team Meteor. But she’s still worried about Shelly. Victoria tells Quakez to go to the psychiatrist and see if he’ll help Shelly. Quakez agrees and leaves for the Orphanage/Psychiatrist building. As he reaches the building, a girl with hot pink hair bumps into him. She apologizes to him and mumbles to herself that she’s finally out of there. He watches as she disappears deeper into the city. That’s the second person that seems to hate this place. What the heck is so bad about it? He wonders if he should go inside to get help or not. With no other choices, he decides to go in to see if anyone could help Shelly. A girl runs up to him, thinking he was this Laura person but then realizes he’s not. That must have been that girl with the hot pink hair’s name. So the girl, who introduces herself as Anna and introduces her doll Jirachi as Namos, starts introducing everyone else. Noel, with his Cleffa doll, which is called Nomos and Charlotte. She says that Charlotte is really pretty despite the burn scars. Quakez looks at her but notices no scars of any kind. Both her and Noel tell Anna that there are no burn scars. Charlotte shrugs it off and says hello to Quakez. She says the girl named Laura is her sister and part of Reborn’s Elite Four. Quakez awes in surprise. Anna interrupts and informs Quakez that both Noel and Charlotte are Gym Leaders. She also says that she’s glad Laura left the place. Quakez asks why and everyone starts to tell him how bad the doctor is. Treating all the orphans bad, using his Electric Type Pokemon for therapy and think that some of his patients in the past have died. Quakez regrets coming here to get the doctor. Anna asks what he’s doing there and Quakez explains. She tells him not to bring them to the doctor since it wouldn’t do any good. The doctor comes in and introduces himself simply as the Doctor and asks what Quakez is doing here. Quakez freezes up and Anna jumps in telling him that Quakez heard there were some Gym Leaders in there that he wanted to face for gym badges. The Doctor, interested of Quakez’s ability, orders his orderly to battle Quakez for examination. Quakez quickly defeats the orderly, impressing the Doctor. He informs Quakez that he can’t challenge them to gym battles because the arena is being redone. Anna quickly pushes Quakez out the door but she can see that he’s still kinda upset over Shelly and her situation. She tells him to tell his friend look out for the one really hurt by the situation. Quakez smiles and leaves, heading towards back Shelly’s Gym/Home. He goes upstairs, telling Shelly what Anna told him to say. She realizes that he’s right and that she shouldn’t feel as bad as Heather and decides to find her. She forgot about her Gym match with Victoria but she declines it. She then offers if Quakez would like to take her on in a Gym Battle and he agrees. She goes into the end of her gym, waiting for his challenge. As Queakez is about to enter the gym, Victoria stops him. She tells him she just got over the fact that her best friends dads dead and shouldn’t battle yet. Quakez knows this but still needs the badge. Trying to stop him, Victoria challenges Quakez to a battle to stop him. She leads out with Scraggy as Quakez sends out King Nido. King Nido starts out with a Double Kick attack and Scraggy retaliates with Payback but gets Poisoned in the process. Victoria uses a Super Potion but Craggy gets Double Kicked again along with the Poison damage. King Nido finally knocks out Scraggy with another Double Kick. She nexts sends out Pignite as Quakez sends out Dreidel. Pignite hits a Heat Crash as Dreidel hits Extrasensory. The next turn is a repeat of the last. Quakez heals up Dreidel as Victoria switch in to Kirlia. Kirlia uses Psychic which does minimal damage as Dreidel uses Rock Tomb. Quakez calls back Dreidel and throws out Boney which gets hit with a Psychic attack. Boney knocks out the Kirlia with Iron Head. She then brings back out Pignite as Quakez brings back out Dreidel. Pignite uses Heath Crash. Dreidel barely lives it but does and knocks out Pignite with Extrasensory. Her last Pokemon is Hariyama. Quakez then sends in his TongueClumsy. In one shot, TongueClumsy takes out Hariyama with Acrobatics giving Quakez the battle. Victoria makes Quakez promise to at least be gentle with her when they battle and leaves. Quakez leaves to get healed up and train some before he takes on his third Gym Challenge.

Episode 20 - Buzzing For The Cocoon Badge! Quakez VS Gym Leader Shelly!

After finishing training, Quakez goes back to the Gym, battles all the trainers inside and solves the puzzle, which is to turn on and off computers to raise and lower bookcases for him to walk across to get to Shelly. He meets her and gives her a hug and asks if she’s ok and she says yes. She asks how he liked her puzzles and he says it was confusing at first but he got the hang of it eventually. She smiles. She then admits to him that she reads books to be good enough for her brother who comes from the Johto Region. Quakez asks if she was from Johto and she says yes. He gets excited and tells her he is too. They then start talking about Johto and how they ended up here. Shelly wanted to be as good as her brother so she came to the Reborn Region to be a Bug Type Gym Leader and impress him. But he never really seemed to care that she did. Quakez tells her he’s sorry his brother is like. Shelly reassures him that it’s fine. Quakez walks over to the other side of the stage and Shelly wishes him luck. Before the battle begins, she tells him that she does double battles. Shelly sends out Illumise and Masquerain as Quakez sends out Boney and Goggles. Masquerain uses Rain Dance and Illumise knocks out Goggles with Energy Ball. Boney does massive damage to Masquerain with Iron Head. Quakez sends out Wishy Washy. Shelly heals up her Masquerain as she orders Illumise to use Dazzling Gleam. Wishy Washy slams Illumise with Aqua Tail, knocking it out. Boney again uses Iron Head on Masquerain. Shelly sends out Wormadam. Wishy Washy uses Aqua Tail on Masquerain, knocking it out. Boney uses Bonemerang on Wormadam and it uses Giga Drain on Wishy Washy, knocking it out. Shelly sends out Anorith as Quakez sends out TongueClumsy. Anorith uses Knock Off on Boney as TongueClumsy knocks out Anorith with Acrobatics. Boney hits Wormadam with Bonemerang again but gets knock out by it’s Giga Drain Attack. Shelly sends in Yanmega, which is nicknamed Heather, as Quakez sends in Dreidel.Yanmega goes for Giga Drain on Dreidel nearly knocking it out. TongueClumsy knocks out Yanmega with an Acrobatics. Dreidel hits Wormadam with Rock Tomb as it hits TongueClumsy with a Psybeam attack. She sends her last Pokemon, her ace, Volbeat, which is nicknamed Bugsy. Volbeat uses Struggle Bug, hurting TongueClumsy and knocking out Dreidel. TongueClumsy retaliates with Acrobatics, knocking out the Volbeat in one shot. Quakez sends in his last Pokemon, King Nido. But it only takes one more Acrobatics from TongueClumsy to knock out the Wormadam and secure the win for Quakez, earning himself the Cocoon Badge.

Episode 21 - Fern The Loser

Quakez thanks Shelly for the battle and goes to leave. Shelly stops him and tells him about how the Reborn League has a Reserve Leader for every type. Whenever a Gym Leader retires, they get the Reserve Leader and tell them they’re the Gym Leader now. Since Corey is, in a way, retired, Shelly wants Quakez to go tell Ame what happened to Corey and to tell the Reserved Leader. Quakez says no problem and leaves for the Grand Hall. As Quakez entered the Grand Hall, he heard a familiar voice. Fern. Ugh. He did not want to deal with him after his last two encounters with him. Maybe he won’t say anything to him Quakez thought. But he knew that would be too good to be true. As he walked up closer, he could hear Fern and Ame talking. He was telling Ame about what happened to Corey. Ame tells Quakez she was worried he’d do this. Fern, being the impatient douche he is, tells Ame to hurry up and call Aya, who is the Reserved Leader, and tell her to get ready for him. Ame obliges and says hi and bye to Quakez. Fern goes on to tell Quakez about the back up leaders but Quakez already knows. He interrupts Fern and tells him to shut up. He knows already. Fern, trying to be cool, tells him that if his sister, Florina were to retire, he’d be the next Grass Type Gym Leader. Quakez looks at him and laughs and tells him he’d owe him like two badges at least by now. Fern gets angry. He tells Quakez that the only way to battle Aya is if you have a key for the lower part of the city since that’s where she’s located. He pulls a key out of his pocket and teases Quakez that he has one and Quakez doesn’t. He then starts talking about his Gym battle with Shelly and how she was barely trying and how easy it was to get the badge from her. Quakez tries his best to not slug the dude in his face. As Fern is about to leave, Quakez reluctantly asks him where he got the key from. Fern challenges him to a battle. If Quakez wins, he’ll tell him. If not, he’s shit out of luck. Quakez accepts. It’s a god way to let out frustration towards the guy anyways. The battle starts off with Fern choosing Ferroseed and Quakez choosing Boney. With Bonemerang, Boney takes out the Ferroseed. Fern’s next Pokemon is Ludicolo as Quakez switches in King Nido. Unfortunately, Ludicolo takes out King Nido with two Zen Headbutts. Quakez sends back out Boney. Ludicolo moves first with Mega Drain but Boney is able to take out the Ludicolo with Thrash. Fern next sends out Roserade. With Boney locked into Thrash, Quakez can’t recall him and he gets taken out by a Giga Drain attack. Quakez sends in TongueClumsy. TongueClumsy gets hit with Extrasensory but is able to knock out Roserade with Acrobatics. Fern sends in his last Pokemon, Servine as Quakez sends in Wishy Washy. Wishy Washy hits an Ice Beam but gets taken out by Servine’s Leaf Tornado. He sends back out TongueClumsy and almost gets taken out by Servine’s Leaf Tornado but she hangs out and knocks out Servine with Acrobatics giving the victory to Quakez. Fern, in a don’t care anymore way, tells Quakez he got the key from Cain who is the brother to Aya. He makes fun of how Cain looks and Quakez tells him to shut up and that he’s pretty cool. He tells him that he saw Cain up in the Beryl Cemetery. As Fern goes to leave, Quakez shouts out to him that he now owes him three badges. Fern leaves furious as Quakez laughs to himself.

Episode 22 - Battling Among The Dead

Quakez rests up at the Grand Hall for a bit and then leaves for the Beryl Cemetery. He was wondering why Cain was there in the first place. Did someone he know die? Was he paying his respects to someone? Did he just want to be alone? He didn’t know but he wanted to make sure his friend was ok before asking for the key. As Quakez was about to head to Beryl Cemetery, he turned to the right towards Beryl Bridge. He walked onto it and went to the ledge where Corey jumped off. He remembered not being able to talk him out of it or doing anything to stop Corey from suicide. He leaned over and looked down and could see Shelly’s Gym/Home and started to remember how she felt when she saw his body right beside her gym. He stood there for a couple of minutes to pray. He sees that it’s getting dark and starting to rain so he hurries over to the Beryl Cemetery. He enters Beryl Cemetery and spots Cain looking at two crosses. He walks up to him and calls his name. Cain turns around and they both hug each other. Quakez asks him what’s he doing up here and Cain said he heard what happened to Corey and went there to pay his respect to him. He also admits to Quakez that he wants to find his daughter to make sure that she’s safe. Cain then asks Quakez why he’s up there. Before Quakez can answer, Cain jokes about him not having to stalk him and to just ask him out. They both have a good laugh and Quakez tells him that he’s there for the key. Cain says he’ll give the key to him if he can beat him in a battle and Quakez agrees. Cain sends in Dewott as Quakez sends in Goggles but realizes that it’s a bad match up. He recalls Goggles and sends out Wishy Washy as Dewott uses Razor Shell. Dewott goes for another Razor Shell but misses. Wishy Washy does a lot of damage to Dewott with his Earthquake attack. Dewott goes for Night Slash but goes down to another Earthquake. Cain sends in Nidoking as Quakez sends back out Goggles. Goggles barely survives a Thrash attack retaliates with Earthquake with Nidoking also barely surviving the attack. Quakez calls back Goggles and sends out Dreidel. Nidoking hits Dreidel with Thrash but gets confused. Quakez tries to take out the Nidoking with Extrasensory but Cain keeps healing him. Cain then calls back Nidoking and sends out Venomoth. Dreidel hits it with an Extrasensory attack but faints to Venomoth’s Silver Wind attack. Quakez sends out King Nido. Venomoth uses Silver Wind again and King Nido uses Horn Attack but goes down the next turn to Venomoth’s Psybeam attack. Quakez sends in Boney. Venomoth uses Silver Wind but finally goes down to Boney’s Thrash. Cain sends back out Nidoking and goes for a Poison Tail but gets knocked out by Boney’s Thrash attack. Cain sends in his last Pokemon, Grimer as Quakez sends in Goggles. Goggles uses Earthquake and knocks out the Grimer, thus giving the win to Quakez.

Episode 23 - Heather's Adventure And Goggles Outrage!

Cain is about to give Quakez the key after losing the battle when he notices Heather up on the ledge. Cain introduces himself to her and tells her he’s worried about her after some stuff happened. Heather thinks he wants to control her. Cain tries to explain but Heather interrupts, telling him to shut up. Cain says that she needs a friend and she replies back she already has a friend. Cain suggests that she should go to her friend and Heather agrees, only to get away from Cain. She flies off on Salamence towards the Lapis Ward. Quakez asks him what he’s gonna do now. Cain tells him he’s gonna go to the Gym Leader there and make sure that Heather’s alright. As Cain walks off, Quakez yells to him about the key but Cain yells that he’s in too much of a hurry and doesn’t want Heather to fly away again and vanishes. Quakez decides to follow him to Shelly’s Gym. As Quakez gets nearer, he can hear Heather yelling. He goes upstairs and joins Shelly, Heather and Cain. Cain tells Heather he’s worried about her and Shelly agrees with him but Heather interrupts, thinking Shelly is taking Cains side. Cain tells Heather to calm down. He knows what she’s going through but again, Heather interrupts, telling Cain he doesn’t know her and to shut up. She brings up that Cain said she needed a friend and that Shelly is her friend and asks Shelly if she is her friend. Shelly, in a scared way, agrees. Heather then tells Shelly to tell them to go away but Cain tells Heather that she’s scaring Shelly and being mean to her. He asks Shelly if she’s like Heather being a little nicer to her. She says yes and apologizes to Heather but she shuts her up and leaves in a fit of rage. Cain, Shelly and Quakez go chasing after her. They catch up with her but the Doctor is in the way with a couple of orderlies. Heather screams at him to move and he replies back by asking if her parents have taught her any manners. Cain calls him a geezer which upsets the Doctor. He demands to be respected and be called Doctor. Cain calls him Dr. Geezer making Heather chuckle and Quakez holding in a laugh. The Doctor asks Heather where her parents are and Shelly tells him that they aren’t alive anymore. The Doctor offers Heather a place to stay and food and warmth but of course she denies and tells him to get away. But it doesn’t matter. Since she’s technically an orphan now and has no guardian to watch over her, the Doctor orders his orderlies to seize her and take her back to the orphanage. As the orderlies take her away, the Doctor threatens Quakez, Cain and Shelly that if they try to interfere, they will be arrested and prosecuted. He tells them to have a nice day and leaves. Shelly, now feeling responsible for getting Heather captured, flees back to her Gym/Home. Cain chases after her. As Quakez is about to follow, he feels one of his PokeBalls rumbles. He doens’t think much of it and runs off. As Quakez makes it upstairs, he sees Cain trying to calm down Shelly. He goes over to see if she’s alright but then suddenly, one of his PokeBalls opens up and Goggles comes out. She starts thrashing about, enraged. Everybody starts trying to calm her down but nothing seems to be working. Quakez figures that Goggles really cares for Heather and considers her a good friend. All of a sudden, Goggles stops and starts glowing. Everybody watches in awe as Goggles evolves into Vibrava.

When the glow fades, Vibrava starts getting a red aura around her body and her eyes go completely white. She turns to Cain and Shelly and goes to attack them, not being able to control herself. Quakez pushes them out of the way and gets beat up by Goggles. After a couple of seconds, Goggles stops, acting all confused but Quakez is knocked out. Cain and Shelly pick him up and puts him on Shelly’s bed. About an hour later, Quakez starts waking up. Cain and Shelly ask him if he’s ok. He tells them he’s a little banged up but he’ll be ok. He looks over and sees his newly evolved Vibrava but she looks sad. Quakez goes over to Goggles and pets her, reassuring her he’s ok and not mad with her. He knows she only got mad because Heather was taken and that she considers Heather a great friend. Goggles starts to cheer up. Cain tells Quakez he’s recognized the move Goggles used. It was Outrage. Quakez praises Goggles for evolving and learning a new move. Everybody is doing fine but Shelly starts to feel sad. She still feels responsible for getting Heather captured but Cain tells her he pushed her too so it was mostly his fault. Shelly calls herself a bad friend but Cain says she was there for Heather and that’s what counts. Cain starts singing about friendship and being a team. Shelly questions what Cain means and he says that they’re going to bust Heather out of there. She asks if they’re be in trouble. Cain and Quakez both say yes but it’s worth it to save Heather. As they’re talking, they hear a loud scream, which sounds like Heather coming from the orphanage. They wonder who it is but Shelly knows it’s Heather. Goggles gets the mad look on her face but Quakez calms her down but petting her wings. He reassures his Pokemon and Shelly and Cain that they’re gonna bring Heather back. Both Shelly and Cain agree and they both run out to the orphanage. Quakez smiles at Goggles and puts her back in her PokeBall and rushes towards the orphanage.

Episode 24 - Operation Dr. Geezer Butt! And Dreidel Talks?!

As Quakez gets nearer to the orphanage, he sees Shelly and Cain outside. He asks them what they’re doing and Cain tells him that the door is locked. Quakez tells him that on the count of three, both of them will charge the door and break it down. As soon as Shelly counts to three, Quakez and Cain rush the door but realizes that the door just got unlocked and almost fall inside. Anna greets both Cain and Shelly and says hello to Quakez. Cain introduces himself and tells Anna she’s preppy. Noel agrees but also says she is when it’s least appropriate. Anna responds by saying when it’s at that time, it’s the most necessary and Quakez agrees with her. Charlotte asks why they’re there and Shelly says they’re here to rescue the girl that just got brought in. Cain offers the others a chance to get out of there and they all agree to work together to get Heather and then escape. Noel informs them that their Pokemon are confiscated so they can’t help with battles at the moment. Charlotte distracts some of the orderlies by demanding to have her cigarettes and the orderlies take her away to the Circuit. Some orderlies discover Shelly, Cain and Quakez by the doorway and they all decide to battle the orderlies. After they defeat the orderlies, they retreat and go tell the Doctor what’s going on. Anna walks up to Shelly and tells her she’s strong and asks if she wants to be friends. Shelly says she doesn’t have many friends but Anna says that she has a lot of friends and that there are a lot of strings connected to her from a lot of people. Quakez butts in and tells Shelly that he doesn’t know what Anna is talking about but that she has a lot of friends. Cain, Victoria, himself. A lot of people. This makes Shelly smile. Noel interrupts saying that more will be coming soon. Noel tells Cain to defend the entrance right at the door so they can’t gang up on him. Cain sends out Nidoking but orderlies come from another room and take Noel upstairs. Shelly and Quakez team up and take on some orderlies. After battling the last couple of orderlies, they push a button and block the way to continue upstairs. Shelly suggests they go back downstairs and ask Anna what to do. They go to Anna and tell her what happened. Anna tells them in the door ahead of them, there’s a switch to unlock the door upstairs. But as soon as Shelly and Quakez are about to go, Dreidel pops out of his PokeBall and looks up at Quakez. Quakez asks Dreidel what’s going on and Dreidel suddenly starts to glow. Everybody stands back as Dreidel begins to evolve. After a couple of seconds, the glow fades and Dreidel is now a newly evolved Claydol.

Quakez smiles at it. As he’s about to put it back in his PokeBall, he hears a voice in his head. Quakez didn’t know what was going or who it was. The voice asked if he could hear him. Quakez answered yes. The voice replies back saying that he’s finally able to talk to Quakez. Quakez asks who it is and the voice says that it’s Dreidel. Quakez looks at Dreidel in shock. He asks it could it always talk to him telepathically. Dreidel says kinda. It was inexperienced and was practicing trying to talk to Quakez telepathically ever since Quakez caught him all the way back in Hoenn. Everytime it got stronger, it would try again and again to talk to Quakez telepathically but was never successful. Quakez remembered back to when he was having his adventures. He always felt like someone was trying to talk to him but it never came through clearly and he just tried to ignore it. Dreidel tells him that now that he’s able to talk to him, he’ll be able to help out more often. Quakez smiles and sends Dreidel back inside his PokeBall. Shelly asks what just happened. Quakez explains that he was talking to Dreidel. Shelly gets shocked and asks if he was always able to talk to Driedel. He says no but Dreidel has always been trying and now that he evolved, he’s able to talk to him now. Shelly thinks that it’s really cool now. They both move on to turn the switch on so they can move on upstairs. They go back upstairs and disengage the locks and lets Noel out of the cage he was in. Shelly tells him that the door upstairs is locked and he tells her there should be a way to disengage the lock back downstairs. They reach downstairs and see that Cain has went into the room he was blocking off. They go in and unlock the locks and Charlotte escapes. Charlotte doubted they could do it but she’s impressed. Cain defeats some orderlies and makes Nidoking return to take a break. Charlotte asks Quakez and Shelly to defeat the last of the orderlies so they can get in and get their Pokemon and Charlotte her cigarettes. After the battle, Charlotte gets everyone Pokemon and her cigs and everyone goes to the top floor. Quakez and Shelly follow close behind. When they get up to the top floor, everyone has their ace Pokemon out. Charlotte tells the Doctor the he’s royally fucked. Everyone tells him to release Heather. Charlotte goes up to him and burns him with the cig. Cain tells her she didn’t have to do that but Charlotte says that he’s left worse scars on her and her sisters. The Doctor releases Heather but when Shelly tries to talk to her, Heather stays silent. The Doctor informs everyone that the police have been contacted and that they’ll be arrested. Everyone gets out and runs for the Underground Railnet.

Episode 25 - Demon Battle For The Omen Badge! Quakez VS Gym Leader Shade!

Quakez meets up with everyone. Charlotte tells him the police will be looking for them so they should head for the Chrysolia Region. Her sister has a house there so they can stay low for a while. Charlotte tries to turn on the computer to open up the tunnel but it’s no good. Cain asks what it’s used for and Shelly says that the old Yureyu building used the trains but then the earthquakes happened and damaged the railroad. Noel says it won’t work because it’s still hooked up to the old Power Plant. Anna shouts that that’s where Shade lives and that if someone were to ask him, he’d turn it on. Anna suggests since Quakez is doing the Reborn Gym Challenge and Shade’s a Gym Leader, he should be the one to go ask Shade to turn on the power and challenge him for the Gym badge. Quakez agrees and goes right away to the old power plant across Beryl Bridge. As Quakez is about to walk in, Dreidel pops out of his PokeBall. He tells Quakez to get ready to for the “puzzle” of the gym. Quakez questions why Dreidel warned him of that. Driedel says that a short video will play and that he needs to be prepared for that. Quakez thanks it for that warning and Dreidel returns back to its PokeBall. Quakez walks in and its almost pitch black inside. He walks into one of the rooms and sees a monitor. He presses the button and watches a video up on screen. The video shows a woman trying to save another woman from jumping off a cliff. What the hell is this Quakez thinks to himself. He goes to the next monitor in the room and presses the button on the monitor. It shows a Garchomp stabbing a woman to death. The fuck was that? He just saw someone get murdered! Quakez leaves that room and enters the other one and presses the button on the monitor. This video though scared Quakez. It shows Corey committing suicide. Did someone record this? Who? Why? How? This freaks Quakez out. Dreidel was right. He needed to be prepared for these “puzzles.” He goes over to the last monitor and presses the button. This video shows a woman getting blown up and her body parts just dropping to the floor. What kind of sicko recorded this Quakez thought. He went to the main room and went up. There, he saw a shadowy figure. Quakez challenges him to a battle. Shade hovers in the air and smiles and the battle starts. Shade sends in Gengar as Quakez sends in Wishy Washy. Gnegar puts Wishy Washy to sleep. Gengar then uses Dream Eater. Wishy Washy wakes up and uses Aqua Tail. Gengar uses Shadow Claw but Wishy Washy knocks out the Gengar with Aqua Tail. Shade’s next Pokemon is Trevenant as Quakez switches in TongueClumsy. TongueClumsy in one hit knocks out Trevenant. Shade’s third Pokemon is Banette as Quakez sends in Goggles. Banette uses Shadow Sneak as Goggles goes for Crunch. Shade heals up Banette but Goggles uses Crunch again. Banette faints to another Crunch attack. Shade’s next Pokemon is Doublade as Quakez sends out Boney. Boney uses Bonemerang and knocks out Doublade. Shade sends in Rotom as Quakez sends out Dreidel. Rotom confuses Dreidel with Confuse Ray. Dreidel gets through the confusion and hits Rotom with a Shadow Ball attack. Rotom uses Shadow Ball but Dreidel snaps out of confusion and knocks out Rotom with Shadow Ball. Shade sends out his last Pokemon, his ace, Chandelure as Quakez sends back in TongueClumsy. Chandelure hits Energy Ball as TongueClumsy lands a powerful Knock Off attack. Chandelure uses Flame Burst and knocks out TongueClumsy. King Nido is the next to be sent out by Quakez. Shade heals up Chandelure. King Nido uses Thunderbolt but gets knocked out by Shadow Ball. Quakez sends in Boney and then Wishy Washy but both get knocked out by Energy Ball. Goggles gets sent in and hits Crunch but gets knocked out by Shadow Ball. Quakez sends in his last Pokemon Dreidel. Quakez freezes for a minute not knowing what to do. Dreidel telepathically talks to Quakez and tells him to use the Cotton Candy on Goggles and win the match with his Crunch attack since it goes faster. Qaukez asks Dreidel if its ok going down and Dreidel says anything for its trainer. Quakez listens and does what Dreidel tells him to do. Dreidel gets knocked out by Shadow Ball. Goggles gets sent back in and finishes off the Chandelure with Crunch, giving the win to Quakez and earning himself the Omen Badge.

Shade activates the power and tells Quakez to watch the screen. The doors open but the Leader of Team Meteor appears and tells the Meteor Grunts to seize everyone there. They get everyone but Cain, who sends out Nidoking and tells him to use Earthquake and causes the floor to crack, allowing him to escape. Shade disappears and Quakez feels sad for what he just witnessed.

So for anyone reading this, I have an announcement to make. I'm going to take a break from the Ground Type Mono Run for a while. I'm getting burned out with just using Ground Types.
