V9 - Bug Reporting Thread

PLEASE READ THE BUGLIST BEFORE POSTING. THIS IS NOT THE SAVE FILE TROUBLESHOOTING THREAD.

 

CURRENT PATCH AVAILABLE:  [Updated 6/23/17 1:14 PM EST] (Patch 10)

 

GET THEM HERE:

 

• Mirror 1 (Mega)
• Mirror 2 (Mediafire)

 

Green - Fixed in current patch. 

Red - Still present

Yellow - Fixed, but not in the current version

 

Buglist:

 

  Reveal hidden contents

Major:

1.) Speech Frames glitching up 

2.) Venam freezing up after leaving the train.

3.) Going into your cell at Blacksteeple too early may cause an event to happen too early. 

4.) Freezing up after defeating the Puppet Masters.

5.) Soft locking on the train going to Route 9.

6.) Event repeating in the Shopping District.

7.) An event in Amethyst Cave is skipped because a switch is switched on at an unknown time. This causes Keta to not react when you enter his home. 

8.) Event repeating in Amethyst Cave which causes the variable to weird out.

9.) Oshawott in the Starter Room can sometimes get into weird positions that may cause the game to crash.

10.) Talking to Maria after saving Luca can sometimes crash the game.

11.) Trainer locking you into dialogue in Sheridan Village.

12.) Using Telepad 2 and 3 will wrongfully reset the Ariados variable. Making it impossible to complete Crawli's Gym.

13.) Using the staircase at Blacksteeple on the left will cause you to become stuck in the wall.

14.) Wishiwashi evolution weirdness.

15.) Alolan Vulpix crashing when trying to learn Feint Attack.

16.) Walking into the residential building after watching the cutscene with madelis teleports you into her office while also being invisible. 

17.) Teleport. (The move) Just don't use it.

18.) Going to Route 1 while being in Goldenwood Forest for the second time sending you back to the old Goldenwood Forest.

19.) Library in Blacksteeple crashing for some people. 

20.) Event with Florin in the bladestar base repeats if you immediately try to go back. 

21.) Getting put in your cell sometimes got you stuck.

22.) Speaking to Roggenrola in a different map other than the one you found it in sometimes crashed the game.

23.) Narcissa event repeats in her gym if you go directly to her room (Only applicable to old save files.)

24.) Losing to Gyarados repeats the event instead of continues.

25.) Trainer Annette not existing.

26.) Sequence break that occurs when going into Valor Mountain straight away before going back to the villa. 

27.) Sequence break if you go back to goldenwood forest immediately after being teleported out.

28.) Mining game crashing at random points.

29.) Event weirdness with Venam and Crawli underneath the Kakori Gym. 

30.) Egg given at the WG Help Plaza may freeze if you pick a grass starter.

31.) Venam not appearing correctly in Valor Mountain.

32.) Getting stuck on the slab after defeating Kyogre.

 

Minor:

1.) No evolution music. 

2.) Jan's sprite floating aimlessly in the void (only on certain versions)

3.) Water Shuriken still has Gen 6 attributes.

4.) Ultra Ball distribution bug in Aqua Apartments.

5.) Random Starter Machine doesn't give out Gen 7 starters.

6.) When viewing the map, the cursor won't move to the right. 

7.) Telekinesis TM doesn't work. 

8.) Pokedex nest locations don't appear correctly.

9.) Map doesn't recognize some areas.

10.) Oshawott not refusing to go into GDC.

11.) Irritation TM does not work. 

12.) Train station stairs in the Judicial District lead nowhere.

13.) Pokeballs don't appear when Nurse Joy heals your Pokemon (Judicial District).

14.) Growlithe still being in the Mystery Egg. (Replaced with Darumaka)

15.) Stairs leading to the 4th floor in the Shopping District don't work. 

16.) Nectars having monetary value.

17.) Funnel Cake does not work.

18.) Able to walk on the desk in the shopping district.

19.) Melia's Togekiss sprite is not sized correctly. 

20.) Getting Stufful from the Mystery Egg causes it to be immediately traded for

Wishiwashi.

21.) Weird tile errors in Chrisola Hotel and Gearen City.

22.) Truck Guy default options being wrong (Goldenleaf)

23.) Map edge on Odd Pass.

24.) Persim berry not healing confusion in battle.

25.) Future sight doesn't work properly.

26.) Nature changer referring to your pokemon as "0"

27.) Judicial District Weather Board changes to rainy when Sunny is selected.

28.) Turret 2 in Blacksteeple Castle only sees you if you walk on the tile directly

in front of it.

29.) Alolan Pokemon can sometimes get their old abilities.

30.) Disguise does not work properly.

31.) Minor passability errors in Kakori Gym.

32.) Snarl's effect is not in place.

33.) Transform doesn't copy the opponent's ability. 

34.) Politoed error on Main Street.

35.) Advanced Dex not appearing. 

36.) Zumi not accepting Zangoose. Wtf :/

37.) Various tile errors

38.) Ominous wind giving an error and not changing the field. 

39.) Fixed the holy field turning into Starlight isntead of a Haunted field with

certain moves.

40.) Rock tile missing from route 11.

41.) Tropius Shadow Sprite is missing.

42.) Border issues in Valor, along with a small tile issue.

43.) Parabolic Charge's bp being 50 and not 65.

44.) Three maids appearing before the quest does.

45.) Lighthouses on Terajuma not opening up after completing the quest.

46.) Nightmare Med. not leaving your inventory when giving it to Anabel.

47.) Fixed dialogue saying you didn't save Garbodor, even when you did.

48.) Wrong description for Lemonade. (Should heal 70, not 80)

49.) Venepide's icon is the shiny version.

50.) Masquerain's shadow sprite is missing.

51.) Fixed the Smeargle trade.

52.) Weird surf permissions in Amber's Gym.

53.) Erick's Electivire not being shiny.

54.) Marianette's and Emma's sprite not showing correctly during their segments.

55.) Officer Jenny still appearing after the missing children quest.

56.) Elixirs do not work in battle.

57.) Meowth and Happiny Shadow Sprites are not present.

58.) Icy Rock doesn't evolve Eevee.

59.) Trainer on Kristiline asking for any pokemon with a different form. 

60.) Mr. Luck taking only 1 shard to change the difficulty. 

61.) If Ana is chosen, having your sprite changed will not be consistent.

62.) Penultimate event in the Building Bridges will still occur if you cancel it.

63.) Passability error with the northern dexoy on Terajuma Shore. 

64.) Advanced Dex is nonfunctional.

65.) Magma Drift error in the Hidden Ritual that occurs when saving the police officer.

66.) Chandelure event sequence break.

67.) Surf glitch in Aquamarine Cave

68.) Dr. Jenkel's machine purifies always instead of once a day.

69.) Herbal Tea is nonfunctional. 

70.) Shadow Sprites for Quagsire, A-Grimer and Salandit not showing correctly.

71.) Cera event repeating.

72.) Phase Dial is nonfunctional.

73.) Amber and Erick's fields do not work.

 

Text Errors:

1.) Jan wrongfully calls Amanda "Amaria" in Gearen Lab.

2.) Typo in the Central Penthouse with Melia.

3.) Typo with Shuppet referred to as Misdreavus.

4.) Purple tree being referred as the Magenta Tree.

5.) The color board wrongfully saying that all colors needed to be mixed for white.

6.) Crescent saying Musn't instead of Mustn't.

7.) Chinese Food mistakenly says it heals 50 when it should only heal 40.

8.) Sign in Goldenwood Forest has nothing on it.

9.) Emma referred to as Melia.

10.) Duplicate text from Neved.

11.) Minor typo in the Central Penthouse.

12.) Typo in The Hidden Library (Karrina)

13.) Maid mentioning defeating Marianette when that part doesn't show up yet.

14.) Erick having leftover dialogue from V8.

15.) People in Mirage Woods not recognizing you for fixing their problem.

I don't know if it's a bug or not.

In the options, when I change the menu frame every single one (except the the default one) turns the background color into black.

Same with Speech frame. Every single frame (except default) is the same as the second one (meaning that from 2 onwards it's the same frame).

If you talk to the missing Oshawott near the bridge if you haven't returned it prior to v9, it follows you endlessly if you don't return it

I'm stuck right after you start the chapter and are about to enter the new city. can someone help unstuck me?

I have the same problem as Tempo im stuck right after Venam volunteers to be the first to have the vaccine.If anyone can fix my save file that would  be lovely

Same problem happened here. I thought Venam was paralyzed from fear and Melia would point out she didn't move yet.

i too have the same problem as tempo, such a shame just started v9 and already stuck

What did you do in your run? Did you bust flora or did you keep quiet?

man i forgot that was almost a year ago. i think i busted her but i cannot say for sure.

I have the same problem, and I kept quiet.

If it helps, I busted her, and my friend didn't, and he has the stuck issue and I don't.

Sounds like a corrupted data folder. I'd just redownload. 

 

Speaking of redownload, could someone download this new data and see if that freeze still happens?

are you trying to load the game in proper location? also try loading the save file in v8 if you get same error then your save file got corrupted and you'll have to use backups

Idk if its a bug but when I evolved my Litten, no evolution music played.
