Eternal Edge
Mah first RMT, and probably only. I was bored and decided why not make an RMT for my main team, so Enjoy! @ Choice Scarf Trait: Reckless EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Double-Edge - Close Combat - U-turn Personally, one of my favorite leads. I've had no trouble taking out most other leads with this guy, or just simply switching out into something else via U-Turn (if I think I'm fast, which I usually am) for just a little bit of damage. Pretty standard set, you could run Quick Attack in place of Double-Edge if you REALLY wanted priority but eh. --This guy should really get Extremespeed-- @ Focus Sash Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Focus Blast - Psyshock - Shadow Ball This guy is pretty anti-weather/anti-entry hazard, though I wish it was Magic Bounce instead of Magic Guard. Oh well, what can you do? Usually I try to get off 1 Calm Mind with this guy before attacking, but it's also really useful if your opponent managed to get a +6 attacker. The Focus Sash obviously guarantees surviving a hit from 100%, which usually it'll have due to Magic Guard, even in sand and hail. You can switch up Psyshock for Psychic as you see fit =P @ Choice Scarf Trait: Shadow Tag EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Heat Wave - Shadow Ball - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [ice] Standard OP Chandelure set, though I originally ran it with Flash Fire, so you can switch this up if you want. With Flash Fire Chandy basically acts as a default switch in for the predicted Fire type attack against Ferro. I run Heat Wave on this set because this is actually my league team, but in OU 1v1 you can simply change it to something like Over Heat, Fire Blast or Flamethrower. @ Leftovers Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Leech Seed - Protect - Spikes - Power Whip Another anti-weather guy, the only thing that he's not effective against is Sun, which is easily handled by Chandelure really. I went with Spikes over Stealth Rocks because I don't see enough Flyers/Levitators to justisy using Stealth Rocks instead. It's up to you though. I also use Power Whip over Gyro ball because it kills a lot of Rain stuff. @ Choice Scarf Trait: Rough Skin EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dual Chop - Outrage - Earthquake - Stone Edge I love Garchomp, and if the set isn't Sand Veil/Brightpowder he has no place outside of OU. I use, what I consider one of his signature moves, Dual Chop instead of Dragon Claw because for a minor drop of 10 accuracy you get 2 chances to hit, meaning 2 chances for crits, and on top of that it breaks not only subs usually, but that annoying Multiscale Dragonite. The rest of the set is pretty standard though. @ Expert Belt Trait: Motor Drive EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Wild Charge - Ice Punch - Cross Chop - Earthquake And last but not least, my signature Pokemon. He does pretty damn well at his 317 base speed, and with a single Motor Drive boost he can outspeed quite a lot of common Scarfers. An alternative to this set is replacing Expert Belt with a Choice item, but personally I like Expert Belt more since with this set Vire already covers 13/17 (I think it was) types and with 345 attack, that's not really something to scoff at. Ikaraptor (Staraptor) (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Reckless EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Double-Edge - Close Combat - U-turn Xiphakazam (Alakazam) (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Focus Blast - Psyshock - Shadow Ball Crystalure (Chandelure) (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Shadow Tag EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Heat Wave - Shadow Ball - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [ice] Amethorn (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Leech Seed - Protect - Spikes - Power Whip Terrachomp (Garchomp) (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Rough Skin EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dual Chop - Outrage - Earthquake - Stone Edge Edgevire (Electivire) (M) @ Expert Belt Trait: Motor Drive EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Wild Charge - Ice Punch - Cross Chop - Earthquake I'd do the "Threats" thing but I don't feel like it. Guest
If you come up against a sand team, try Sand Veil. Tried LO Alakazam?
Eternal Edge
If you come up against a sand team, try Sand Veil. Tried LO Alakazam? That would require knowing beforehand what my opponents team would be, lol >>; and uh, LO Alakazam seems meh cause it's fragile as fuck and most hits will tend to kill it. Noivy
Staraptor has been so grossly underestimated, it's sad. It's one of the scariest physical sweepers out there. Reckless BBird STAB, that's like my Sawsbuck's STAB Double Edge, but with more oompf. Chandelure is pretty common for what it's seen here. Alakazam... I like Magic Guard, but I havent had enough hands on experience with the OU metagame to know much about it, other than the fact that it's a special sweeper. I dont bother with traps namedAmethyst>><<. Ferrothorn. Ugh. I hate Ferrothorn to the point it made me want to become the sun master I am now. All that I know is that it's a spike/rock setter with a seed addiction. Garchomp is fast enough, a scarf seems a wee bit redundant to me. Prolly a Life Orb, or maybe even an Expert Belt, to boost the power of Super Effective moves. Fire fang might also be a good idea. Elecivire: I've used the same set every now and again, it works pretty damn well.
FraRPetO
Remember last 4 EVs on Garchomp and Electivire Try maybe Stealth Rocks, so you don't have to worry about Multiscale Dragonite as you mentioned it
slant
Hey Edge, neat team! It seems to be very heavily offensive with only a defensive backbone of Ferrothorn. However I'd like to point out a few flaws that I see: Minor flaws (easily fixed): 1) Change Chandelure's nature to timid over modest so that you can outspeed +1 dnite (most of them are adamant, not jolly). 2) Change Ferrothorn's moveset to have SR over spikes; this way you will break all focus sashes. It's better to get a little bit of damage on every pokemon than slightly more damage on fewer pokemon. Major flaws (unfortunately I don't see a way to fix these problems without majorly reworking the team): 1) You have no spinner or really any way to deal with hazards. This is key because a) staraptor and chandelure take 25% every time they switch in, and they will be switching in and out a lot and it is pretty easy to set up hazards against this team - steels such as skarm, ferro, and forretress can set up hazards on any pokemon besides Alakazam and Chandelure. 2) Weather teams give you trouble. I see that you packed counters to each type of team, but I don't think they will be that successful. Sure Ferrothorn can take a few hits from a rain team, but then what? It has no recovery outside of leech seed, and once it is worn down (with no recovery it is only a matter of time) you'll be in trouble. Same thing goes for Chandelure on sun teams, but it'll be even worse because Chandelure is naturally frail to begin with. To address these two issues maybe you could replace Ferrothorn with Forretress (you can also use its volt switch to trap things in tandem with Chandelure ), and maybe switch either Electivire or Staraptor with another rain counter. I think this would mess up the 'feel' of your team though. Anyways I hope I helped. If you want to talk more feel free to pm me on the server, I'm usually around. DUnno why I was running Modest as it is to be honest. And like I said to Wash, I'll try SR. Major: Funnily enough, hazards haven't really been a problem, even when people use them against me. I could maybe switch Alakazam for Espeon if things get out of hand, or even Ferro for Forre. 2) Weather hasn't given me mouch trouble either, aside from a few times. It's funny that you suggest taking out Staraptor and Vire because those are the two that I refuse to change XD -------------------------------- Thanks for the pointers everyone ^^
