J-Awesome_One Posted July 2, 2017 Share Posted July 2, 2017 Yep. That's right. I'm doing another challenge run (Cute Mono Type Run) despite not finishing any of my other runs... Don't worry. I'm not stopping them. Just on Hiatus for a bit. There are reasons why I'm doing this though. 1. The last time I played Rejuvenation was like Version 5 and I loved it. But I quickly forgot about it due to a lot of other Pokemon Fan Made Games being completed or being continued. 2. I've only gotten to around the second gym leader so I don't really remember much about this game and I wanna experience it like it's totally new to me. 3. I've been wanting to do this for a long time so why not just do it now? Haha. Now, you all maybe wondering "Well that's fine and dandy and I don't mind it. But what in the world is a Cute Mono Type Run and how does it work?" I shall tell you! It's a pretty simple concept though. I am only going to use Pokemon I find cute. Examples: Arbok, Roserade, Plusle, Beautifly etc. Pokemon I don't find cute, I don't use. Examples: Beedrill, Blissey, Haxorus, Blastoise etc. "Ok. I'm getting the picture. But what if you find a Pokemon you don't think is cute at first but it's final evolution is cute." Well that's simple. It's the same with a Mono Type Run. You use it til it evolves into that cute final evolution. "Alright... But what if it's final evolution or any of its evolutions look not cute. Then what will you do?" Simple. I won't evolve them. Sure it'll be more challenging on myself but it'll be fun. I also will not be doing the same kind of format as I've been doing on my other Runs. As if I'm talking as that character or about that character. This time, after I feel like I've finished a major event, I will update this telling you all what I think about the situation, the characters and even about the character I play as. And also how the cities/parks/swamps/etc. looks and maybe even makes me feel. And don't worry. I will update you on the Pokemon I've captured and are using on the team. At the current moment as I'm writing this, I am downloading the game. (And the patch. Don't worry people. I didn't forget about that.) As soon as the game and patch are downloaded, I will start to play it. If you all feel like sharing your experiences on the game as I do, feel free to. I'd love to see if our ideas and thoughts are the same or different. All I ask is that you don't spoil story lines that are in the future. Enjoy! I don't remember it sounding all like rap music near like the middle part but then again, I never really stayed at the starting screen for that long. And then the music for the story telling about the Zorua and Pangaro... It sounds like someone's about to get chased around with a knife or something. xD I just got done with the Maria Plot Point as well. That is WAAAAAY different than I remember it. At least I feel like I know somethings now unlike before. And just so everyone knows, I will be going Reborn Mode for the Difficulty. But yea. This is just a Mini Update/Thought thing. J-Awesome_One Posted July 2, 2017 Author Share Posted July 2, 2017 Mini Thoughts On The Character Sprites Maybe it's because I'm so used to seeing the characters in dark clothing and the hairs being either like black, white, brown or blond, but I'm LOVING these sprites. But weirdly enough, I'm using a sprite that is basically all dark. The boy sprites are really colorful. Red and Green. The girl sprites are great too. I get a Lillie vibe from the pink haired chick in that though. If her hair was like whitish blond, I could see that being Lillie. xD The... I guess you call them neither sprites are good too. I like the one with the really long red hair. But I chose the opposite one. Has short hair, kinda shaved on the other half of the head and even though the clothes are mostly black, it looks different. So I'm ok with that. But yea. There's my thoughts on the sprites. Kind of real like! I could actually believe I was on a boat instead of just a weird knock off of the SS Anne. The rooms look so good too. And then when Team Xen came in, that was awesome too! I'm confused on one thing though. Why did the girl with the Gothitelle decide to help me? Like did our mom know her or something? That was the first time I saw her. Ohh well. It's minor. Then when when you can see what's happening to the ship, it looks like it's in danger. You can see water coming into the ship! That was... Mind BLOWN! And RIP to the Piano Lady. The most badass person I've seen so far. Pushed her piano off the balcony to save me. Almost brought a tear to my eye. But then the whole escaping was pretty much the same. Although the Talonflames Trainer seems to have gotten re-sprited and she looks cool as hell. But yea. Those were my thoughts on the boat. And again. RIP Piano Lady. Again, I have to mention the difference of the look of the lab from what I remember to now. It is a GREAT improvement. Looks better. Now I can finally start talking about characters. For a bit at least. I like Amanda. She kinda acts like me. Slacking sometimes and a jokester. Then there's Jan. He's alright. I like that he takes what he does serious. Professor Jenner... Well I remember stuff in the past about him so you already know what I think of him. Thumbs down. But Melia and Ren. Don't have opinions on them yet. Ohh yea. I almost forgot. I like how when you talk to people now, you get that thing over there heads that kinda indicate whether if they're happy or mad or sad or something along with the noise pings to go with it. Nice little touch to that. And the area where you pick Pokemon looks better as well. Thanks to Amanda and Ren, my starter is level 8. Don't worry. Now is when I shall be putting down my team. But yea. That's all I have to say about that. Ohh. Well really quick. I like the trainer battle music too. Almost forgot I was in a battle. Haha. Smaller, in a way, than the last time I remember this. I remember way more buildings in this part of the city. But I'm alright with how it looks. It looks, as I've been saying for most, better than I remember it. The thing that stands out the most is the color buildings. You know. The red, blue, green and purple ones? Even though, I've only been in the red and I think purple ones, it's different. They're not apartments anymore. They're offices of some sort. They look really neat. And that's all I really have to say for this part. Less buildings but it looks better than what I remember except for one thing. I went inside Venam's Gym just to see if I could see if it changed or not and while I didn't see everything inside it, holy hell has it changed! I didn't get a good look of what I was able to see but it looks like they switched the wasteland look with like a candy store look. Way different than before. That's all I gotta say for now. Ohh yea. I only have one thing to say about her mom. She is fucking strong as fuck. She literally threw her daughter outside of the house... Through the ceiling. Again, she strong as fuck. Haha. But let's get back to the main characters. Venam. I still remember how she did the whole "Me dying. Get Pecha Berry." shtick back in the day and that hasn't stopped here. Although, I think she's starting to over do it now. But ohh well. She seems laid back. I like how she is. Now onto Melia. Her personality seems the same so far. But I like the fact that now her friends are now acknowledging that she has some kind of gift for having shiny Pokemon come to her. Wasn't anything like that last time I remember. And now the sewers. It's... Alright. It's a lot shorter than before. But it's a bit too clean. Idk. Maybe if it looked more dirty, then I would have liked it more. But for what it is now, it looks alright. Now we shall venture to Route 1 with Melia for... ADVENTURE!
