JoJoDeath
Hey everyone! Since it's holiday, I decided to try to run reborn for the second time, but I was looking to play it with some less used mons this time. Anything goes, all types are open, I don't mind multiple suggestions of the same type, as long as they can bring something unique or interesting to the battle, I'm open for trying them out. Starter is also included, so leave a suggestion for an interesting one . I've got 1 pokemon I want to use, which is Vespiquen, as I always found her an interesting pokemon, but I never really tried to run with her, so I'll catch one anyway. Also, if you've got some interesting strategies involving the mons, do comment them as well, as I'm not amazing at the game(I kinda struggled hard with my pokemon in my first playthrough, and didn't really have many options to switch teams, which is pretty stupid, I know )
Filthy Casual
I mean, if you really want to use mons less used, then no one is less used for starters than Meganium. If you want something less used but practical, however, try out Chesnaught for your starter. While the typing is lacking, Spiky Shield is extremely good, and it hits like a truck. Gentleman Jaggi
I vote Mightyena! With Moxie as ability and Sucker Punch bred onto it via Rattata (Lv 19) to get the most out of it.
RedAlert
Oh, I like this sort of thing, go for it! Some of the less-used mons I really like, do consider them: Escavalier (Super tanky, only 1 weakness, super strong - best run under trick room, and has access to Swords Dance through level up) Gogoat (Bulky setup sweeper) Shedinja can get some interesting positions on a team depending on the enemy Lanturn Magcargo Sawsbuck Edit: Oh, and Cacturne has been thoroughly amazing throughout my grass mono with Spikes, Spiky Shield and Sucker Punch, winning almost all my major battles for me. Underrated as hell Edited July 10, 2017 by RedAlert

Underrated as hell I second every single one of those. @JoJoDeath Also add a mixed attacking Skuntank, with Play Rough, Flame Burst (to abuse Fields), Acid Spray (to cripple Sp. Defences) and Night Slash. A Special attacking Vespiquen with Bug Buzz, Power Gem, Air Slash and Tailwind is also interesting. And, last but not least, Arbok. Coil, Gunk Shot, Sucker Punch/Crunch and Ice Fang make it very good late game, while Acid Spray, Glare, Crunch/Sucker Punch (bred by Rattata I think) and Mud Bomb make it highly useful early/mid game too. Very underrated!

Underrated as hell I second cacturne. It's so hardcore that it took on ferns roserade, mega sceptile, serperior single handedly. It's a beast. Orasha
Castform. Its generally considered trash, but is extremely flexible. Need a pokemon to set weather? Castform can do that. Need a pokemon that can take advantage of an opponent's weather, or create a rainbow? Castform can do that. Depending on what you want to do, you can even run super novelty sets like Sunny Day, Flamethrower/Weather Ball, and Solar Beam. Also it's cute as heck. Cherrim. Not only does it synergize well with castform, but it's ability is absolutely amazing in doubles. Slaking. Slaking used to be one of the kings of pokemon in gen 3, but over time has been less and less well regarded. It still hits like a truck, though, and has a pretty good movepool like most normal types. If you need a pokemon with good physical bulk and the ability to dish out serious damage, Slaking is your man.
