diana
....My 3rd Attempt at a decent OU team, and my 2nd attempt at a RMT. Let's get into it, Shall we? Thus time with nicknames ^^ (Icarus) @ Life Orb 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Speed Trait: Reckless Jolly Nature (+Speed, - Sp. Atk) - Brave Bird - Close Combat - Double Edge - Roost The amazing bird that errbody used ingame in Gen 4 returns to be worthwhile in Competitive. Complete with amazing coverage, and an ablility that BOOSTS Recoil moves, this thing is a threat, and I understand why Eternal Edge reccommended it. No setups, no boosting, just send it out and GO. Roost to boost longevity, of course. (Amethyst) @ Life Orb 4 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed Trait: Levitate, duh! Timid Nature (+Speed, -Atk) - Dragon Pulse - Surf - HP Fire - Psyshock Don't judge me, I named it Amethyst. Now, this Specially based Dragon twin is one badass attacker, it was Uber for a reason, until 5th Gen. Now that it's free to beat up the children of OU, it does a pretty damn good job at it, with it's amazing Special movepool, and versatality. Gogogo! (Titania) @ Life Orb 4 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed Trait: Justified Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) - Swords Dance - Close Combat - Extremespeed - Crunch/Blaze Kick/Ice Punch ...Don't bother. I'm kidding. Lucario's one amazingly versatile pokemon, and this is in one of it's physical aspects. Everything is standard... until you reach Move 4. Depending on the day, it has either Crunch, Blaze Kick, or Ice Punch, depending on how I'm feeling. \o/ (Shelly) @ Life Orb 252 Sp. Atk, 4 Sp. Def, 252 Speed Trait: Flame Body Modest Nature (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) - Quiver Dance - Fiery Dance - Bug Buzz - Roost ...The Special Tank, fearsome enough to face on Mewtwo/Darkrai and win. This thing is amazing, like Gamefreak read everybody's minds, gave us the most badass fire type to date, save a few of them. Bonus: Look, I named it something OTHER than Apollo! (Alpha) @ Life Orb 4 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed Trait: Lightningrod Modest Nature (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Flamethrower - HP Grass - Volt Switch One of my favorites, I think it should be BL instead of RU. Which, is why it made it here, to this team. It works shockingly well, considering it has higher speed and Sp. Attack then a good potion of OU. Nothing interesting to say, really. (LOLDERPY) @ Toxic Orb 224 HP, 252 Atk, 32 Sp. Def Trait: Guts Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) - Drain Punch - Mach Punch - Payback - Facade ...It's ugly, but effective. I guess.... nothing to say. I don't particularly LIKE this pokemon, but... there's no denying it's effectiveness. Icarus (Staraptor) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Reckless EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Close Combat - Double-Edge - Roost Amethyst (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dragon Pulse - Surf - Hidden Power [Fire] - Psyshock Titania (Lucario) (F) @ Life Orb Trait: Justified EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Crunch - Close Combat - ExtremeSpeed Shelly (Volcarona) (F) @ Chesto Berry Trait: Flame Body EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Quiver Dance - Fiery Dance - Bug Buzz - Roost Alpha (Manectric) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Static EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Flamethrower - Hidden Power [Grass] - Volt Switch LOLDERPY (Conkeldurr) (F) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Guts EVs: 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Mach Punch - Drain Punch - Payback - Facade
slant
Hey Silver, nice team you got here! I recently fell in love with Staraptor too, it's such a beast, so props for using him. It looks like you are using a heavy offense team with 6 heavy hitters, so I will be giving my suggestions under this assumption. On to my team suggestions: -Roost isn't really a good idea on Staraptor, it's frail enough as it is and the healing won't really save its ass in most situations. I would put U-turn over roost in the last slot and put either a band or scarf on it, depending on whether you prefer a late game sweeper or a scout. -While I have seen Toxic Orb Conkeldurr being used before, have you tried the bulk up set? You will get longevity at the cost of a power loss at the outset which I don't think is a big deal. The set is: leftovers, guts, adamant, 120hp 252atk 136spdef, bulk up/mach punch/drain punch/payback. -Have you considered a different pokemon besides Manectric? Thundurus-T, Jolteon, and Zapdos are all great alternatives that still have that electric immunity and are more threatening. -The biggest problem I see is that you have no spinner. This is a huge problem since Volcarona takes 50% and Staraptor takes 25% from stealth rock. One (shaky) solution is to suicide lead with Azelf: jolly/adamant, 4hp 252atk 252speed, focus sash, taunt/stealth rock/zen headbutt/explosion to stop hazards from turn 1 (plus you get stealth rocks up too). Otherwise I can see adding a magic bouncer such as Xatu to your team too. Hope this helps.
Shanco
My suggestions: -Lucario: On that fourth move, keep Crunch - more reliable than Blaze Kick, more powerful than Ice Punch, and hits Ghost- and Psychic-types for some intense super-effective damage, which is always useful when you have the other moves that you have. -Latios: Consider having Choice Specs instead of Life Orb - it hits harder, and doesn't lose HP, although you're confined to one move. When you're Dragon Pulsing the crap out of everything that isn't a Steel-type, you feel like a badass, and you have five other pokemon capable of stopping both Steel- and Ice-types to switch into. -Conkeldurr: You should pack a Flame Orb instead of a Toxic Orb. Due to part of Guts making Conkeldurr ignore the Attack reduction from a burn, you'll still get the same Attack boost as from a Toxic Orb. -Miscellaneous: I would recommend having one of those Pokemon learn Sunny Day (Perhaps on Volcarona or on Latios if you're not giving it Specs). Three pokemon (Manectric, Volcarona, Latios) get an attack's power doubled by it, and it stops damaging weather, which is a glaring issue since nobody is shielded from Hail, only Lucario takes no damage from Sandstorm, and everybody except possibly Latios is holding a damaging orb. diana
- Roost changed to U turn on Ikaraptor - Lucario's final move chnged to Crunch I don't use a spinner. Entry Hazards are enetry hazards. I don't really care. The point of this is to send something out, tear up as much shit as possible, and then it dies. ...I avoided Flame Orb, because of the Burn. I figured the attack drop.. wow. I used Manectric, because it gets less credit than due. It's killed many pokemon on it's own, so I kept it. Oh, and I avoid weather. Relying on something that's always changing is useless IMO.
Skwayz
Idk if you want to do well with this team in ou, but anyway, will try to rate this. First thing I see is this bird, which is in my opinion just frail and predictable, but if you seem to like it, wynot. Then, volcarona. You want to play volcarona, you need a spinner. Half Hp is just too much. Starmie is an option over latios, bulky or LO variants should be fine. Manetric, waat ? Everything here fit better than him. Toxic stall zapdos, Thundurus-T, or even bulky rotom... You want to play Espeed/Bullet punch/Close combat on luke, OHKO gengar at +2 is always welcome. And I don't even know how you deal with all those weather abusers out there.
