Aessence Posted July 12, 2017 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Heya guys, Aessence here-- Soooo, I came up with this idea just now, as I'm stuck at Adrienn's gym (boy, xe's tough.) and I'm EV training a Regenerator Amoonguss (252 HP/ 108 Def/ 148 SpD, btw). So, I bought the "power" items and I started training for HP and Defense. Lastly, I tried to find some easy spots for Special Defense training, aaaaaaand....there was none. Now, I've thought of this. Since I had already 252 EVs in Hp, i thought I could train at the HP EV spot (precisely, in the small "harbor" near the Blacksteam Shelter, in Peridot Ward. Old rod, 100% chance for Shelloses, 1 HP EV) while holding the Power item for Sp.Def instead! I know it might sound ridiculously obvious, but I thought it would be of some help to players who wanted to EV train properly and didn't come up with the same idea Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And be sure to remove your Amonguss's def EVs before training using a reset disk as xe mostly uses moves based on sp attack. (Purchasable in Peridot ward market) I would also advice you to give Amonguss's the right power item for sp def as well before training. Aessence Posted July 12, 2017 Author Share Posted July 12, 2017 I invested 148 points in SpD just to endure 1 STAB Psychic from Gardevoir. The Def is for eventual new challenges and/or online play. Clear smog to take out the Misty field is crucial, so that i can set some spore and goodnight fairies XD Aaaand yep, Power Item is essential Thank you for the tip, I managed to beat him!
