EndearingCharacterTrait
It's just so irritating to see Dragonite on a team with Jangmo-o and Axew all at almost the same level...but then I never really forgave Lance for using those 3 illegal Dragonites against you in Gold/Silver either

Also, the Reverse Candies in this game aren't cheap. They cost $1000 per candy! Lol. I have no clue. Maybe he somehow got lucky and caught a Dragonair at a lower level than when it's supposed to evolve. Btw, you can actually catch a Jynx in Fling Cave so it's not too much of a stretch to think he caught a lower leveled Dragonair. xD And I'm pretty sure he's rich... Right? o.o Hey wait... He's training to be a Dragon Type Gym Leader right?

Filthy Casual
Chapter 10: Wait Untill Sunday to Progress... Before we moved on with the story, we decided to explore the area a bit more. Luckily, I found something vital to the team. Spoiler When 420 evolves, he is going to become a monster! After exploring, we went to talk to Kain and Chan. They told us... ...well... ...and guess what... YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY! Let's ignore that "Sunday" wasn't capitalized for a bit. Yes, I decided to move my clock ahead. Why? Because there is no reason the letter shouldn't appear! For me, personally, it also is jarring to see a letter delivered on a Sunday, as where I'm from, the Post Office is generally closed. Nonetheless, we received the letter, only to be bombarded by dialogue. We ended up learning my suspicions were correct, and those two people were Luna's parents. She says she doesn't want to forgive them, as they were "mean" to her, which is certainly laughable, given that she is dating her former bully. Still, we also learned some sad news... Kain would have to say goodbye for a bit. We ended up traveling for a bit, where we saw something jarring... Spoiler Just to clarify, this is from a normal trainer. However, I'm not too mad, as it tells me that Mega Evolution is coming up. Perhaps more trainers will have this form to balance out the ridiculous items we have been getting. Regardless, I still think it was a bad idea to introduce them so early. After 420 won the battle, we got an awesome evolution! Oh, we also found this... GOD DAMN IT THEY'RE LIKE CANDY! After collecting our goodies, we headed out to a mountain, where... OH COME ON! Still, a legendary is a legendary, and we caught it. He won't ever be used, but he can at least enjoy the box. We ended up traveling through an extremely boring and short mountain, where we found Chan was waiting for us. As we were heading out, however, we noticed that Ariëtta was being attacked. Mary would greatly enjoy the free EXP with Thunderbo- -oh, come on, game! You're not even trying now! During the search, we saw something even more infuriating! Just to clarify: we only have one badge at this point, and we are seeing two of the best competitive Pokemon families in the game! We eventually found the lovers, who... ...were just 50 feet to the left... ...and everyone just left afterwards... ...I'm sorry, but what was the point of that? Next time, we'll continue on with our adventure! Current Team Spoiler
Filthy Casual
Chapter 11: Chan gets Owned After exploring through the mountain, we happened across a town containing Luna's parents! Of course, we were ready to... to... ...who are you again? Spoiler Wait a minute, WHAT?! The battle begins with Zoroark getting hit by a Fire Fang, only to reveal... Okay... As you can imagine, it goes down easily. At this point, I decide to let Hobbes try and KO the Zoroark. However, he doesn't prove to be enough. In fact, even Jordan can't take it out. 420 puts it to sleep and use Petal Dance to KO it. This causes his next Pokemon to be sent out... ...I'm sorry, did I say sent out? I meant sacrificed. Good question, Luna. After that little escapade, we decided to visit some of the marts in order to do some shopping... ...and come on, these moves are way too good! Still, we easily accepted them, and explored a bit more. Here is what we found... Spoiler First, we found the casino, which offered prizes such as... as... CHARMANDER?! AT ONLY 1000 COINS?! In fact, why the hell is Plusle tied for the most expensive prize there? Plusle sucks! We also happened to find this... ...honestly, it's just whatever at this point... After exploring, we found one more thing: That's right! The gym leader was none other than Luna's Mom! As it turns out, her ace is a Mega Gallade. We decided to invite our friends over in order to watch the battle, when we received an unexpected challenge. Alright, that seems interesting! We haven't fought her yet. Let's see how it goes! Spoiler The battle starts off with me thinking Jordan can actually touch this thing. Of course, I am proven to be wildly incorrect. Fortunately, Shadow Ball from Mary proves to be Musharna's undoing. However, she sends out her newest teammate... ...except it sucks. It gets off two moves (because I missed a Fire Fang): Iron Tail and Tackle... ...wow. Unfortunately for us, her next teammate would prove to be a massive threat. The POWERFUL Staraptor starts off by going for a Close Combat. Achilles counters with a Rock Slide, forcing it to switch out. Achilles is forced to switch out while Froslass goes for an Ominous Wind. Right as the Froslass gets the stat boost, 420 gets off a Sleep Powder + Leech Seed combo. He then goes for Petal Dance, KOing the Froslass. Tbe POWERFUL Staraptor doesn't KO with an Air Slash, allowing 420 to get off one more Petal Dance. Achilles is healed as 420 goes down. Achilles gets flinched and then KOd by Close Combat. This allows Bloody Mary to KO with Thunderbolt. Honestly, you've got a strong team in the making. Let's just see what you evolve your Eevee into. We then decided to head out to Luna's mother's house, where we met her father. He challenged us to a battle! Spoiler And boy, I started off with a BAD matchup. The battle starts off with Acelgor going for Mega Drain. Achilles survives and lands a Rock Slide. Accelgor switches out for Machoke. Achilles decides to switch out for Froslass. However, Machoke predicts it and goes for Foresight. Mary gets hit by a Circle Throw. However, she manages to KO with a couple Shadow Balls. Achilles comes back in to handle the Boldore with some Scalds. He is healed in the process. Hobbes helps finish off the Accelgor. While Slaking looks threatening at first, Achilles is able to troll it with Scald and Protect... ...until it uses Rest. At that point, 420 comes out to use Leech Seed and Double Edge. Easy. After the battle, Luna's father learned that Luna was dating Chan. This caused him to say a couple words to Chan, but let's be honest. With this game's awful dialogue, there's no way he could say- HOLY SHIT! So far, this is by far the best quote to come out of any character in the whole game. Without much dialogue, Luna's father has established himself as a caring and protective man who wants what's best for her daughter, while allowing her to be herself. It's an awesome piece of dialogue. It also helps that it's at Chan's expense. Next time, we will take on Luna's mother for our next badge! Filthy Casual
Chapter 12: Officially Broken Before we could challenge our mother, we were encouraged to go shopping for new clothes. As we did, we noticed the drastic stylistic change in our clothing! Spoiler Oh, did I say drastic? I meant to say minimal! Come on, now, there's barely a difference! As we were walking out, though, we met a familiar face. You know what comes next... Spoiler ...except Chan decided to join us! The battle begins with Mary sacrificing herself to the "Sableye" while using Thunderbolt. She goes down, but it turns out they are both Zorua. Jordan is easily able to KO one of the Zorua with a Headbutt. The next "Zorua" comes out, only for it to be revealed it is a Zoroark... ...but then... Poor Jangmo-o gets double teamed at this point. Fortunately, Jordan KOs Zoroark while Sableye gets confused by Water Pulse. The REAL Zorua is brought in and essentially sacrificed. Sableye is the last to go down. Out of curiosity, why do you think the dragon leader has a Milotic on his team? After the battle, the mysterious man ran off, leaving us to our gym battle in what was admittedly a really cool setting! It was time for a battle! Spoiler The battle begins with Ira setting up three Calm Minds. She then goes for Psyshock and... ...well... Let me be the first to say that Sopia's team is awful! We've had access to three psychic legendaries at this point, yet not one of Sopia's Pokemon is part dark! She could have used Scrafty or Pangoro, but no! It's just another reason why not to give extremely powerful legendaries and TMs to the player so early in the game! Yes, Mega Gallade got off a hit on Ira (Latias), but as you see, it didn't matter at all! The fight was over before it even begun! Having won the battle, we received a multitude of prizes! Spoiler First, we received the Discount Marsh Badge! Second, we received our brand new TM, which was... ...why am I not surprised it's Brick Break? But that wasn't all! We were also given a new box slave team member, as well as the stone to evolve it to its final form! Finally... You know, earlier, I joked that we would be getting the Mega Bracelet in the second episode. Clearly, I was only slightly off, as we have only received two badges, and we already have a Mega in episode 3! As easy as X and Y were, they at least gave the Mega Ring to you after three badges! After receiving our gifts, we heard some dreadful news: Without hesitation, we decided to head back and investigate! Next time, we will be confronting Team Lightning once again! Filthy Casual
Chapter 13: You Would... After defeating Luna's mother for the second gym badge, we went ahead to stop Team Lightning from invading Berro. Along the way, however, we got an awesome evolution! Spoiler OH MY GOD YEEEEEESSSSS! I'm going to be alternating between mega stones and leftovers, as I currently have two megas on my team (I plan on using Soul Dew on Latias when I find it). When we made it to our destination, we were shocked to discover that Team Lightning had taken over the whole town... ...except for these two. I guess it really doesn't matter if they are free, huh? They're just NPCs. Still, we ran into none other than Redi. Furious at our presence, he challenged us to a battle! Spoiler The battle begins with Hobbes easily decimating Meowstic with Bite. He got a Critical Hit on the first Bite, causing a 3 shot (including the Hyper Potion). Achilles easily decimates with two Scalds. Poor Seviper only gets off a Poison Tail. The damage is then healed by Leftovers. Skarmory gets off two flinches with Air Slash. However, it's still not enough. ACHILLES IS A MONSTER! Needless to say, the results of the battle didn't please Redi. He gave us an ultimatum. Of course, Luna didn't know about any "artefacts". She certainly wouldn't ever tell Redi about Chan's artifacts, but luckily, that's not what Redi asked. Even better for us, however, was that the man with the Zoroark came back to save the day! As it turns out, Hakon here helped free everybody else. Without any options left, Redi had no choice but to- -did you just say Darkrai? Oh, you would have my all time least favorite legendary! I hate this thing! Dark Void in tandem with its ability is way too good! And guess what... Spoiler ...it gets its own separate battle, because of course! Hobbes gets off two Extremespeeds before going down. Here, we see our first Mega Evolution... ...AS HE MISSES SLEEP POWDER! Jordan is sent out so 420 can be healed. Unfortunately, Dark Pulse KOs. Mary is used as the sacrificial lamb. 420 decides to go for Leech Seed... BUT FLINCHES!YOU SEE WHY I HATE THIS THING?! Poor Ira never stood a chance. Achilles goes down, but provides time to heal 420. Here, I accidentally click Petal Dance. Luckily, it crits. SCREW. YOU. Without any backup plans, Redi had no choice but to flee. We had won the day! However, Hakon had left us. We decided to... to... ...it happened again, didn't it? You would... Next time, we're going to head back to Luna's house to continue our adventure! Filthy Casual
Chapter 14: Identity Crisis After making our way back to the city, we decided to head out to the Gym Leader's gathering... ...on Sunday. I didn't want to put up with that nonsense any longer, so I set the clock to Sunday, then decided to head off! We eventually made it to Clay City, the home of the party. While doing some exploring, we found another TM we shouldn't get until the end of the game. Spoiler Still, Hobbes (Arcanine) will really appreciate getting taught Flamethrower! We also found out that the ground type gym leader resides in this town! As we went to the party, we found something unsettling... That's right! Not Blake decided to invade the party! We went ahead to meet the other gym leaders, and frankly, it shows a huge problem with Full Moon: the lack of an individual identity. Take the above image, for example. We have another butler version of El and a DJ Arclight. We already know that Chan's sprite is Gary, and I'm also pretty sure Orchid's sprite is inspired by Heather. Luna's Mom is basically Ciel. We also already know that Lavius is Blake and Lavia is Lucia, one of the female Reborn playable characters. However, it gets worse. You see that man on the left? That is the real dragon leader, Chan's teacher, and he looks just like Solaris. That flying type leader is just a normal NPC in RSE with wings. We then get to the Elite Four... HOLY SHIT, THEY EVEN GOT GEARA! Aside from the champion clearly being the real leader of Team Lightning (why else would they be everywhere in this building despite being called out on the news), Geara's blatant color swap is insulting... ...but it's not even close to as insulting as this: Spoiler My goodness, this is pathetic! It's one thing to take a leader's name and type from Reborn, but it's another thing altogether to then apply it to Sharon's sprite from Rejuvenation. This game clearly lacks any identity of its own! Unfortunately, the shenanigans don't stop there. While we were trying to stop Lavius, we noticed that these "Order of the Unown" grunts were pallet swaps of the Cultists from Reborn, attitudes and all! There's just no originality to this game! Still, it didn't stop Luna from giving an inspiring speech. Luna, you know very well that we... So close... Apparently, though, that wasn't enough, as he had one more card to play... ...wait, where's the trump card? You know I have an Arcanine, right? He even has Flamethrower... ...really? Spoiler Long live the King... I mean, I know you have a Gallade. You're not going to use it? I guess that's a no, then... After that "intense" battle, Chan came to "save" us... Of course, despite Lavius's best attempts, he couldn't coax Chan into killing him. After calling him and his brother an orphan, it would have to take more than that to get him to snap. You'd have to be really thin skinned to- GOD DAMN IT CHAN! If Episode 2 was one step forward, then Episode 3 was two steps backward. From its long and overbearing backtracking to its laughably early introduction to the Mega Ring, this episode is a giant disappointment. It says a lot when the game not only throws a Salamance towards you (even if it starts as a Bagon), but also gives you the opportunity to get both Latias (which you are given regardless) and Uxie. Still, I'm going to remain as optimistic as I can. Next time, we will confront Chan about ridiculous decision! Filthy Casual
Chapter 15: Here Comes Team Not-Even-Trying Last part was really crazy! Chan had seemingly killed off Not-Blake after being taunted. Of course, we had to discuss the weight of his decision... ...and by that, I mean not do that, apparently. After all, Dino getting mad about his teacher's death is way worse than killing someone! By the way, Chan, there's no "we" in this situation. Just you. After that crazy event, what's the next logical step? Time travel, of course! We found two Celebi, who sent us back in time to a battlefield. Before I go a bit more into the story, I have to give the game a bit of credit. While I'm complaining about the legendaries, they haven't been too OP yet. Latias as it is is only a UU Pokemon, and Uxie just sucks. Cresselia was hidden pretty well, so it was still a nice reward. Imagine how bad it would be if we found an uber... ...we're going to, aren't we? Spoiler I'm honestly lost for words... We haven't even gotten our third badge yet! I might use it, but I am still thinking of other possible members. In case anything else comes up, like a Starly or Larvitar, Jordan (Tauros) might get replaced. Still, a new member is a new member, and as such, there is only one name fitting for the God of Death himself... Best name ever... After that incident, the Celebi decided to have us travel through time again. This time, to a mega stone... Now I may need to find a Larvitar... Still, it turns out this place is actually the Pokemon League of the past! Hakon took this time to explain the history of the region. Apparently, it used to be split into two, until the queen took over. Her people hated her, so she married the more popular king. It's an intriguing backstory. However, we are then sent through time again where we are shown something disturbing. Spoiler Sera?! I never thought Corey was your type! Seriously, Sera in this game is Corey's wife. Those other two people are Chan's parents! Correction: they are corpses. As much as I despise Chan, I can't help but feel sorry for him here. Watching your own parents die is certainly tough. Too bad this is probably going to cost Radius his life. After all, if Chan "killed" Lavius for calling him an orphan, imagine what he's going to do to Radius... After that hard scene, we were sent back to the present, where we asked a favor by the Celebi. While a new team is certainly scary, we decided to head out and stop them! We were sent back in time, where... ...just look... Spoiler Don't tell me... IT'S FUCKING TEAM METEOR! YOU'RE NOT EVEN TRYING, GAME! Last part, I critiqued the game for making characters pallet swaps of other better characters. Here, however, they are nothing more than METEOR GRUNTS! There just seems to be a lack of effort to really individualize each character! Eventually, we ran into the leader of Team Shadow... ...Hooded Melia from Rejuvenation! Seriously, though, we actually found a weakened Croagunk while chasing her. She'll never be used, but Toxicroak is one of my favorite Pokemon. We eventually made it up, where we found Shaymin being tortured. It was time to fight! Spoiler Come on, game! They're just a Meteor Knight and Dame! Still, their Pokemon are unique, as you can see above. The battle even begins with 420 Mega Evolving and missing a Sleep Powder. However, Reuniclus picks up a KO on Nidoking. Pay attention to the Talonflame for a bit... Nidoqueen then gets swapped out for Unfezant, who get hit by a Psychic. Talonflame goes for Flamethrower on Reuniclus. Talon flame then KOs the Reuniclus with Acrobatics... ...which is strange considering 420 is right there! Still, it gives him time to put Talonflame to sleep. 420 takes his time to seed Unfezant and Talonflame. Talonflame wakes up and burns Girafarig, but Girafarig manages to KO Unfezant with Crunch. Talonflame is put back to sleep. 420 decides to go all out with Petal Dance. Fortunately, with a Zen Headbutt crit, it KOs. Talon flame wakes up, going for Acrobatics again... ...ON GIRAFARIG?! YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS! It was around this time that their leader, Olvin, explained his plan, and honestly, it's convoluted. He planned to have Shaymin inhale toxic air, thus causing her to create an explosion of energy. This would cause the fireworks we found in the mountain to explode, destroying the nearby town... ...which makes you wonder why they wouldn't just use C4, but okay, I guess... ...let's just get to the fight... Spoiler Olvin wisely decides to start off the battle by getting rid of 420. However, Mega Venusaur gets off one Sleep Powder, putting Cryogonal to sleep. Arcanine puts Vanilluxe down to red. Cryogonal is switched out for Shaymin. Finally, Vanilluxe gets the freeze on Reuniclus... ...because of COURSE! Vanilluxe eventually manages to go down to Flamethrower. However, so does Reuniclus. Crobat gets off a Poison Fang on Shaymin. However, Cryononal gets up and KOs Crobat. Poor Girafarig is also destroyed by Cryogonal. Hobbes goes for Cryogonal as Shaymin continues to go for Leaf Storm on Hobbes. Finally, Ditto transforms into Shaymin. However, as Shaymin goes down, Ditto also becomes 4x weak to ice. It goes down. Poor Nello got destroyed! Come on, man! Three Pokemon? You're supposed to be their leader! After defeating them, we managed to rescue Shaymin! We decided to bring her to a flower bed to heal. Next time... ...oh, who am I kidding, the game's probably going to give us Shaymin, isn't it? Current Team Spoiler

However, we are then sent through time again where we are shown something disturbing. Hide contents Sera?! Hide contents Don't tell me... Hide contents Come on, game! Hide contents Olvin wisely decides to start off the battle by getting rid of 420. Current Team Hide contents And now I'm getting sadder. Team Meteor is Team Shadow. Ohh brother. Dx Btw, since I know where you are in the story (and I'm pretty sure I remember this correctly), your idea is on the right track but it's also wrong. I'm not gonna spoil that much but you'll find out what I mean in like the next couple of minutes in the next Chapter. Anyways, loving this more and more I read it! Wait... No grammar mistakes in this Chapter! Yes! Victory!
Filthy Casual
Chapter 16: Orchedy the Threat After taking Shaman up to the mountain to heal, we decided to a bit of exploring. We went into a cave, where we found something... ...unexpected. Spoiler I'm weirded out that Regigigas can be caught without the other Regis. However, I'm not too mad at this. If any legendary should be caught early, it should be this one. He'll never be used, but at least it's nice to say I have one. My Body is Regi. After exploring, we went back to receive our obvious Shaymin... ...except we never got it. As it turns out, it would rather be with Orchedy, who didn't do anything. Honestly, though, I'm fine with that. It makes her character stand out more. However, that didn't mean we wouldn't get the chance to catch something else! If you insist on putting a bunch of legendaries in your game, this should be the absolute earliest you do it. I personally would have had Uxie be caught here, as Uxie isn't too strong, but Mesprit is still a decent choice. Thank goodness for Timer Balls! Rather than give us time to savor our victory, however, Orchedy immediately challenged us to a battle! It was time to fight! Spoiler The battle begins with me predicting a Musharna lead... ...but getting rewarded even more! One Icy Wind + Thunderbolt combo KOs the threat. It turns out she evolved her Eevee into an Umbreon! That's an excellent choice to compliment her team! Either way, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, and Petal Dance bring Umbreon down. 420 gets hit by an Ominous Wind, but still survives. He then breaks through confusion and goes for Sleep Powder and Leech Seed. He switches out for Jordan (Tauros). One Revenge puts Froslass down. Mary gets off one Ice Shard before going down. Hobbes is easily able to KO. Musharna takes out Hobbes, but not before he flinches it a couple times with Bite. Achilles gets the burn with Scald. While Synchronize activates, the burn isn't enough to take out Achilles. However, it does bring Musharna down. I never thought I'd say this, but so far, Orchedy is the best trainer in the game. She has a really cool and balanced team. It'll be fun when she has a full team of six! Having fought, we saw that we had some spectators: the Celebi! They decided to thank us for our troubles. Orchedy was allowed to keep Shaymin, even receiving a Gracedia Flower. We received... ...well, Ira (Latias) is officially even more broken. However, that wasn't all. Even Chan got something. Of course he would! I actually forgot that Latias had joined us in order to find her brother. We may be doing that next time, as we were brought back to the future soon after. Next time, we will be continuing with our adventure! Current Team Spoiler
Filthy Casual
Chapter 17: A Warrior's Wrath We decided to continue our journey by going back to the snowy town from the beginning of the game. As it turns out, there was a gym there I completely missed. As such, we began to head over. THIS was the frozen lake from the beginning of the game! That is excellent attention to detail! Now, we get to relive the same environment, except this time, in the summer... ...well, at least until we walk fifty feet to the left. If anyone wanted to get that Charmander at the casino, I'm sure they are really happy right about now. Before we went to challenge the gym, we went to talk with Hakon. He gave us a story. Apparently, he grew up in a family of Zoroark. However, said Zoroark were captured and experimented upon, resulting in the death of his family. Even Hakon was experimented on. It's a sad story, but honestly, I've already heard it before from N. It's just N's story, but more edgy. Still, he gave us an opportunity to catch something! Spoiler Ladies and gentlemen, Jordan (Tauros) is probably going to leave the team. While that is certainly sad (I really grew attached to the guy), we still get an awesome new member... Original the Character! Do not steal! Props to you if you get the reference Eventually, we made our way to the ice gym! I have a couple things to say about this gym... Spoiler First, the background: HOLY SHIT THAT'S AWESOME! Yes, it's probably just a backdrop from Google Images, but who cares? It works extremely well here! Second, this is the debut of Mega Achilles! Not going to lie, I'm a bit disappointed. Why is Mega Swampert smaller than normal Swampert? Finally, an item we found: Oh, and I suppose this also happened: Eventually, we made our way to the gym leaders... ...wait, gym leaders? That's right! This would be a double battle! It was time for a showdown! Spoiler You see, these sprites look more unique! The battle begins with Mary landing a Thunderbolt on Walrein while Achilles Mega Evolves, going for Rock Slide... ...and then Walrein hits Mary with a Sheer Cold! Luckily, Lapras also misses Blizzard. Lapras tries to go for Sheer Cold, but misses. Achilles and Ira take this time to decimate Walrein and Lapras. Funny enough, Achilles takes them out in the same turn with two Critical hit Rock Slides! Of course, as you could guess, this isn't a normal Glalie. As such, they double team Ira and take her out, but not before she hits Ninetales. Nineties heals up at this point. However, Hobbes attacks with Extremespeed (not expecting a heal), and Achilles goes for Rock Slide, landing another critical hit on Ninetales! Hobbes takes out Glalie with a Flamethrower. Achilles is hit with an Icicle Crash, but lands a Scald on Mamoswine... ...AND GETS ANOTHER CRIT KO! Achilles is out for blood! Unfortunately, Achilles is finally knocked out by Froslass. However, Hobbes manages to burn with Flamethrower. Hobbes gets hit by an Ominous Wind and goes down. However, "420" (who is actually Original the Zoroark) goes for a Night Slash and knocks it out. That was honestly a fun battle! Achilles put in work! For winning, we received the Triangle Badge! We then received our- -oh, it's Ice Beam, isn't it? Well, Bloody Mary (Froslass) is certainly going to appreciate it! We weren't done, though. We saw a ladder in the back of the gym, where we wandered down to find... Spoiler ...ANOTHER FUCKING MASTERBALL! Man, they really don't care about how powerful Legendaries are supposed to be, do they? Next time, we will continue on with our quest! Are there any suggestions you have for my team as of now? Current Team Spoiler

Filthy Casual
Chapter 18: Downgrade After that excellent gym battle with the ice leaders, we went back to celebrate with Chan, only to see we had other guests ready to join us... ...and by that, I mean capture everyone. Don't get me wrong; Chan is still a moron for not locking the doors. However, so is everyone in the Pokemon universe for doing so. We ended up confronting Chan about the situation, who told us this: Reid then came up to us, and I'll be honest, I don't have the heart to post the dialogue. It's really bad. Still, he challenged us to a battle. It was time to fight! Spoiler The battle begins with Mary KOing Meowstic with a couple well placed Shadow Balls. Latias manhandles Seviper with some Psyshocks. 420 gets off one Leech Seed and Petal Dance. Darkrai still manages to KO 420, however. Luckily, Mary comes in and KOs with Ice Shard. Achilles walls Gigalith with Scald. Hobbes takes out the Skarmory with two Flamethrowers. Why don't you have six Pokemon? Are you trying to be easy? Redi was indeed easily manhandled. With that victory, we- WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING?! It ended up taking Redi, and then... Time to be frank for a bit; this episode was a huge quality change. It started off at Full Moon's very worst, with Team Not-Meteor's pathetic introduction. However, it managed to end really strong with the gym battle and the introduction to that... thing (seriously, bravo to whoever did that sprite). It's strange, because I'm getting really tired of these quality jumps. Still, we decided to continue on with the story. Understandably, Orchedy was distraught over losing her brother. We ended up telling the others about it. Hakon and Ariëtta decided to help us. However, Hakon first recommended this: We ended up checking out the ship. Here are some things that happened: Spoiler Strangely enough, Tepig is my favorite fire starter. This makes me incredibly happy! The great Russian leader can rot in the box join the team! We also found this: We eventually went in the ship, and honestly, it looks amazing! The graphics look really good here! However, I feel as if this area may need to be tested a bit more. I don't think you should be able to walk through some walls... We ended up going deeper through the ship, where... Oh, snap! Time for a rematch! Spoiler The battle begins with Mary taking advantage of the hail with her Snow Cloak ability. It gives her enough time to take out the Vanilluxe. Mightyena gets sent out, allowing Mega 420 to take it down. However, it is locked into Petal Dance, allowing this to happen: Still, Hobbes was easily able to finish the job. Man, you suck! Your team was actually downgraded from our last fight! Olvin decided to offer us a spot on his team. However, he forgot that he sucks, and therefore, we turned down his offer. Next time, we will actually begin our quest to look for Redi! Current Team Spoiler Edited August 12, 2017 by Filthy Casual Accidentally posted a bit early. Now, the whole part has been posted. Filthy Casual
Chapter 19: Transparent Turmoil After our highly disappointing battle with Olvin, we decided to meet Ariëtta and Hakon back at the route. They both told us to try our hand at the gym leader from Clay City! I actually remembered that city, as it was the one with a ground leader! This got me extremely excited. 420 (Venusaur), Bloody Mary (Froslass), and Achilles (Swampert) would have a field day in this gym. As we were heading down to get a bit more training on Original (Zoroark), we found something much better... Spoiler YES! THANK GOD! I adore the Starly line! It was obvious to me that Original (Zoroark) would be leaving the main squad forever. However, he might come back eventually. Who knows, we may need him for the ghost gym (if there is one in this version). We also got this while training. Too bad it wasn't correct. It should have said: "Congratulations! Your Baron evolved into the POWERFUL Staraptor!" We eventually made our way to the gym, where... ...it kind of sucks. It's just a guessing game to see which one lets you pass. It's extremely underwhelming from the last gym. We eventually made it to the gym leader, where we got another bad vibe. That bottom sprite looks quite familiar. Where could we have- ...it's Amber, isn't it? Spoiler COME ON, GAME! NOTHING about her screams "rocker" other than that one line! The battle begins with Mega 420 getting off a Sleep Powder + Leech Seed combo on Krookodile. He follows up with Petal Dance, KOing the threat. Argile then switches to... ...what? I know it's a good play, but I wouldn't have had Camerupt be her mega. We'll get to that Pokemon soon, but until then, back to the battle. 420 is forced to switch out for Achilles after Petal Dance ends. Achilles easily decimates with Scald. Achilles tries to go for the burn with Scald... ...AND GETS IT! Achilles is then able to wall it completely after a Hyper Potion. I mean, Garchomp does go for Dig, forcing Achilles to go for Protect when it comes back up. Also, yes, maybe Garchomp does become completely invisible afterwards, but come on, that doesn't mean- -oh, you've got to be kidding me! That causes them all to be invisible?! Either way, as you may guess, Mary decimates Flygon with an Ice Beam. Hobbes is more than enough to take out her Steelix... ...which is her ace? So why wasn't that her mega? It would be a good challenge, given its absurd defenses. Despite its Invisibility Cloak, Swampert gets demolished by Mega 420. ...this sprite... After that win, we received our rewards! First, the Chaos Emerald Badge! Finally, we received a fairly decent TM for this point in the game: Bulldoze! Next time, we will continue on with our adventure! And I wanna say that maybe her Camerupt is her ace but because of Venusaur being out, she chose to go for type advantage. Btw, I wasn't saying that all of them can mega evolve. Filthy Casual
Chapter 20: Luna's Legs of Steel After getting our badge, we decided to meet with Ariëtta and Hakon. Before we did that, however, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye... Spoiler ...you know, it's not as fun when you are just given the game. You're starting to face the same problems the main stream games have... ...still, I guess we now have two Master Balls on us (as one was used on Ribbon the Cresselia). As we were speaking to Ariëtta, she rewarded us for beating the gym with... ...Cut? I'm not mad, but I'm a bit surprised that we are so late into the game, and we finally got our first HM Move. Rock Smash doesn't count, as that's a TM. Still, we eventually cut down that tree in the image to find TM02, Dragon Claw! Afterwards, we made it to the station, where Hakon gave us a challenge. It was time to fight! Spoiler The battle begins with Baron going for an Agility first, predicting a switch. However, "Sableye" goes for a Foul Play. Baron decided to go for Close Combat, KOing the Zorua. Achilles goes for a Rock Slide on "Honchkrow", but surprise surprise, it's Zoroark. A couple Foul Plays brings Achilles down. Luckily, Hobbes can KO with Flamethrower. He even gets a crit Flamethrower on Honchkrow before going down. Baron is able to outspeed and KO with Close Combat. Despite the epic matchup, Mega 420 is able to pull through and pick up the KO. Easy. This allowed us to travel the ocean! Clearly, we would get an awesome cutscene or picture of art like with Hobbes (Arcanine) from the beginning of the game... ...or, we just get there. Strangely enough, that Arcanine picture has been the only art in the game so far, and frankly, that's a shame. As you can see, though, Olvin informs us that Team Lightning has arrived at the volcano. We quickly rushed to the top. However, take a quick look at this: Spoiler Notice where I am right now. You see how I am on top of that mountain? With any other ledge, I cannot walk off (obviously). However, at this particular spot, when I walk forward, I actually jump off. Guess what, though? You can also climb back up from there! It makes almost all of the Lightning grunts skippable! Still, it also shows that Luna has not skipped leg day! Eventually, we made it to the top, where we found... Spoiler Sam, alongside... ...who are you again? Oh, yeah, Eila! I remember him from... from... ...isn't this the first time I've seen you? Seriously, am I missing something? This is the first time I remember running into him, and he acts as if we've known each other for years. He doesn't even introduce himself. The only reason I know his name is Eila is because that text box says so right there. Still, Melia didn't seem to appreciate it. Let's just examine this box for a bit: One: No one say "Grrr" and sounds intimidating. You sound like a pouty child. Two: That sentence structure is horrendous. It should read along the lines of "I knew you were up to something awful." Finally... Of course... However, it didn't stop there. Team Lightning tried to take our Light Stone, summoning Reshiram! However, these morons also seemed to forget to bring Pokeballs! As such, we got to capture another legendary as if its presence meant nothing! Spoiler It's nice to see that this game not only has the balls to steal from Reborn and Rejuvenation, but also Insurgence. Seriously, this is the lava Insurgence background! Fortunately, it only took one Ultra Ball! There was only one name I could give this thing... "You can't handle the truth!" Don't blame me. You didn't bring any Pokeballs. After that, Team Lightning just left, as if whatever just happened didn't matter. Still, we found yet another item two feet away from Reshiram. Spoiler So now it's the quest for Heatran next, I suppose. Next time, we will continue to make our way through the volcano!
