ScribblyGryphon
Hey everyone, new to the forums and fairly new to the game, I was told it would be hard but with Kiki I've just come up against a wall and I'm not sure what to do. Here's my team: Dusclops L40 Hex, Shadow Punch, Pursuit, Confuse Ray Camerupt L45 Lava Plume, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Earth Power Blaziken L43 Flame Charge, Peck, Blaze Kick, Quick Attack (He didn't get double kick because douchebags fainting him at evo level delayed his evolution) Meowstic (M) L45 Psybeam, Reflect, Lightscreen, Psychic Ampharos L43 Power Gem, Charge Beam, Discharge, Electric Terrain Gothitelle L42 Psyshock, Psychic, Future Sight, Dark Pulse Could anyone maybe suggest a strategy I could try with my team or substitutions I could make? I've already put hours into grinding subs for the team and Kiki still just keeps kicking me to the kerb. Thanks in advance! Wolfox
Kiki is touch in general. there's few set ways of beating her outside of simple trial and error planning
Alistair
I think you should be able to beat her with your current team, but if you have big problems look around for mons with adequate typing. Does your Meowstic have Prankster? If yes, you can use it to set up Reflect and/or Lightscreen against any of Kiki's mons. Make sure it holds a Light Clay if you have any. Does Blaziken have Speed Boost? If yes, you'll want to let it set up against a moderately threatening mon that doesn't have any Psychic move... in other words neither Lucario nor Gallade. Lucario can be a pain with Aura Spheres and field-boosted Psychic. I suggest using Camerupt to KO it with Earthquake or Earth Power. You may also want to sacrifice Ampharos in order to set up Electric Terrain at the right moment and deprive big threats like Medicham of field advantages. Other than that you could replace the mon you feel is the least useful against her with a Swoobat. Psychic/Flying, as far as typing goes it doesn't get any better against a Fighting Leader. A sturdy Poison type that can swallow any Fighting move (there are several available early on) couldn't hurt either.
Yagami
I don't understand how Kiki is beating you.You have a Meowstic and a Gothitelle .So which pokemon is giving you trouble? Also teach meowstic charge beam.
ScribblyGryphon
Gallade's Night Slash and Lucario's Hidden Power were screwing me up a lot for the psychic types, Camerupt couldn't kill Lucario before its Strength overpowered it, Strength demolishes the poor camel ^^' Meow does have prankster but I generally use it to OHKO the Machamp at the start and after that she sends out Gallade or Lucario and hecks me up sideways I'll look into getting a Swoobat, I was starting to grind up a Pidgeotto but you're right, I guess the swoo would be a better match for the battle Thanks for the advice! I'll go prepare and face her again and tell you guys the results
HongaarseBeer
One thing that really helped me out was Sand Tomb. It drops accuracy for the opponent and if you give the mon using it a metronome, you'll tear through her. Especially since Sand Tomb gets boosted by her field
Octavius
Prankster Reflect, especially with light clay, should help considerably if you play your cards right. Also it would really help if your dusclops knew will-o-wisp, but it seems as though it doesn't for some reason. But your team should theoretically be able to beat Kiki's. You just have to play around her pokemon that have strong coverage moves (like the aforementioned night slash and hidden power) and use your type advantages to one-shot her pokemon. ScribblyGryphon
I beat her! I just needed to take the time to slow down and set up. I'm not really a competitive player, I tend to try and brute force my way through everything and I completely fell into the trap here. Thanks all for the advice! Anti_Hero
Actually because of the spam of streght and the field effect, dark type pokemon helped me a lot to beat her. So try to add one Dark type to your team I came to late to help, anyway good job Edited August 9, 2017 by Anti_Hero

Because her AI in episode 16 doesn't understand that strength doesn't effect dark types (on her field) it let me easily set up with shiftry and then I 1 shot her entire team after 3 nasty plots. NOTE: this works in episode 16 but will proberbly be fixed in episode
