The communicator once again wasn´t answered, but this time Alma noticed it. "Kyou-chan, you said your parents are part of the maintenance crew right?" She asked retorically. "They may be actually busy dealing with the ship´s damage control now. In reality they may even have stayed inside for the landing procedures, don´t you think?" 

Of course the doctor was worried as well, but years of experience in therapy made sure none of it showed in her voice. Then she spoke to all of the kids, including Satomi on the comm. "Listen, I should go back to the medical area and I ask that you come with me too. It´s pretty deep within the ship, we can take care of your bruises and send your parents messages telling where to find us. Most of the people who were outside will be sent that way for medical care anyway, so we might run into them there. And Kyou, you could go get Satomi since you know the ship so well." That would also help distract the girl from her worries for a bit, though she didn´t add that.

[Chevaleresse]

"Âre. Okay." She took a deep breath. Crash had a job to do now. "Where is she? I didn't hear. I'll just take her right to the medbay once I find her, yeah?" She tried to focus on planning out her routes. The main corridors were probably going to be congested - she tried to ignore the crowds, since they only served to unsettle her further - which meant that cutting through some of the maintenance shafts would be faster. Not that she hadn't planned on doing some of that already, since with the ship's size and layout there were bound to be shortcuts regardless.

"She´s at Doctor Hashimoto´s office... I don´t know to well where it is, so you should ask her for directions through the comm." Alma then turned towards the other children. "Beverly, Ranga, Ahmed, are you alright? It would be better if we stick together for now."

Kyou noded, and then immediately darted off. She took the main halls for a short distance, before cutting to the side at an intersection and prying open a hatch near one corner. Doctor Hashimoto's office. . . The offices are there . . . Right, he's the science director, so he'd be one level above in the VIP ones. . . I know where I'm going. She slid up and down ladders, dodged around the occasional forklift or maintenance worker hurrying to repair God knows what damage, and ducked back out into the main halls before opening another hatch and repeating the whole process again. She called Satomi up after a short time, panting as she spoke into the reciever. "Satomi, it's Crash. I should be there in a minute or two, coming from a hatch in the ceiling. Get ready to slide a chair over or something."

Beverly let go of Kyou once they got in the ship, Kyou feel the ground Beverly leaned against the wall breathing heavily. She didn't know what to do with Kyou in this state luckily the Shrink did. She watched the two for a bti and when Kyou started calling her family Beverly glanced at her communicator and pulled up the number for her bother. Shakeing her head she slides it back into her pocket. She was going to tell Kyou to stop trying the call her family but the shrink beat her to it. with a sigh Beverly jsut waited until they started moving again.

Ahmed immediately threw a metaphorical curveball at his father by suddenly switching to Arabic when he said "I barely made it inside of the ship, where is Mom and my younger brother?".

 

He just as suddenly switched back to English when he turned to face the doctor from earlier and said "I'm just a bit tired, how are you doing right now?" To both his father and the doctor.

Satomi nodded, before realizing Kyou probably couldn't see her. "Right, right... wait, Crash? I don't think I've heard that nickname before..." as she waited, she went and wrote a quick note to her father in case he came back - she was fine, she just had to see if her friends were ok, she'd been told what happened on the ground via communicator, etc.. Then she, in a fit of uncommon illogical action, kicked a wall in sheer frustration - ow, but it made her feel a bit better. With that she just waited for the ship-born person to arrive.

Ahmed
"Your brother is inside the ship too along with your sister, don´t worry." Ahmed´s father spoke, relief clearly showing in his voice after learning his other son was ok as well. "I´m looking for you your mother, then I´ll be back. Go find them and wait for us ok?"

Ahmed immediately replied by saying "I'll try my best, and please try to stay safe alright? I don't want the first conversation we've had in a 100 years to be our last". He then nodded at no one in particular before he walked up to the doctor and simply said "I need to go and find my brother and sister, they should be inside of the ship right now, and I really want to see them just in case anything happens you know?".

Sure enough, after almost exactly a minute and thirty seconds, a knock sounded from the ceiling in one corner of the room. The hatch swung open toward the wall, and Kyou dropped out of it with a slight thump. Kyou gave a short wave and a "Hey" of greeting before immediately looking around for a chair or other conveniently movable object to use as an impromptu stepladder. "The fastest way to the medical bay is cutting through the maintenance tunnels again, is that alright?"

Satomi was surprised as Kyou came in through the ceiling - she hadn't been there in the office the first time, after all. "...Father's going to want to have that passage sealed." she muttered to herself, before placing the note and nodding. "Uh... alright. I'll follow you then." she said, following Kyou up after the girl goes in herself.

Kyou, after pulling a small table over to the opening to make climbing easier, climbed in and helped Satomi up, closing the hatch behind her. She lead the other girl through the tunnels at a brisk pace. "We should only be in here for about half the time; once we get to a certain point it's quicker to just take the main halls." After a few moments of nothing but the sound of their footsteps on the floors, she spoke again, trying to avoid silence and thinking about what had happened. "So, uh, what did you talk to the doctor about, anyway?"

Satomi followed after Kyou as quick as she could. "I guess this is convenient..." she says, trying to keep up. When Kyou asks her question, Satomi blinks. "Uh... how much do you know? I don't mind telling, but I sorta don't want to violate the other's privacy, you know?"

[Chevaleresse]

Kyou scratched her head awkwardly. "Um, I heard about them going to meet foster families. That's all. I didn't really mean to eavesdrop, it just kinda happened. . ." She would have cracked a joke about mad science and making sure they weren't being turned into horrible alien monsters or something, but given that she'd just recently run away from a horrible alien monster, she wasn't particularly in the mood.

Satomi considered if she should answer for a bit. Father didn't want anyone prying but... well, Ahmed knew, Beverly and Ragna knew, so may as well at this point. "She was offering a place to talk, for me. All three of us have lost family and she was concerned about our emotional health. I guess a lot of people are going to need her help after this." she said simply.

[Chevaleresse]

"Oh. Lost family, that makes sense. . ." She tried really, really hard not to think about that. She stared very, very hard ahead of her, and dropped into silence for several long uncomfortable moments, before rounding a corner and stopping. She reached down and pulled the lever on a hatch, which opened up into a somewhat crowded hallway. "There are signs that point the rest of the way, but you can still just follow me." It'd only be a matter of minutes before the pair arrived in the medical bay. As they walked, she took her communicator out and stared at the screen for a while, waiting for the reply.

Ahmed, Ranga, Beverly

"Ha! Don´t worry son, I won´t die over something such as this! You need at least two of those things to get me!" Ahmed II answered, trying to pass some confidence to his son. "Now I need to turn off, see you again soon, and then we´ll be talking for another hundred years!" Then the communicator beeped and stayed silent. 

 "I need to go and find my brother and sister, they should be inside of the ship right now, and I really want to see them just in case anything happens you know?".

"Ok Ahmed, after that you can meet us on the medbay" Alma told him. Then she called both Beverly and Ranga and the trio started making their way to her work area. 
Lots of people were going the same way, and some med teams were even going against the flow to provide emergency care for the most wounded. They passed by some pretty seriously injured people along the way, and Alma tried her best to distract the girls from those sights. Eventually, they arrived in Alma´s office again and she opened a door for what looked like a private consultory. She put on her coat, surgical cap, mask and gloves and proceeded to take a look at Ranga and Beverly´s wounds - thankfully only light bruises that she started treating right away. "It´s alright. There isn´t even that much fighting noise anymore. Everything will be fine." Alma told them, trying to calm them down.

Asuka Langley Soryu
Everything was not fine.
"Verdammt. Why won´t this piece of shit stay dead?" 
Asuka was inside the red titan, Evangelion Unit 02, sweating inside it´s cockpit. This Angel was slow but deliberate in it´s attacks, so it still took her quite some focus to avoid them
and strike back. If it were other times, it would be a piece of cake to her, but fatoring her current piloting condition... She guessed no fight would ever be easy for her. 
 Still, she did manage more than enough to smash the core on the Angel´s head to pieces - which should have killed it for good, for all her experience, but it wasn´t the case now. If anything, the monster had gotten even more ferocious.
"Asuka, your sync rate is going up dangerously. Calm down and preserve yourself for a bit, I´m arranging backup to you right now." said a voice in the cockpit´s radio.
"I am calm you dolt." She answered, not helping her point much. "But if I calm down anymore than that it´ll end up hitting the ship. I know what backup you´re talking about, by the way and if you have time to waste on this idiotic plan, you should use it to try and find this thing´s weak point. Not every damn kid is a Shinji, you know." Thankfully. she then mentally added.
 Either way, if they didn´t change this attrition game soon, things would get ugly.

Shortly after the doctor gets to her office, that same panel that had been opened earlier and apparently never closed has some noise come out of it. Presumably Kyou drops down, and Satomi follows after. "...Hello, Doctor." she says, quietly. "...So what exactly happened out there? Was there really a... an... an Angel?"

Beverly sat down in a chair as Ranga , the doctor and her waited for Kyou and Satomi. She tapped her fingers on the arm of the chair as she waited. She didn't like this she should be doing something to help it was going to happen again if she just sat around hiding. She thought to herself. She snapped put of her thoughts as she heard the two girls enter through the hatch from earlier her mood lifting a little as she saw them.

Beverly, Kyou, Ranga & Satomi

 

Doctor Alma sighed in relief when both girls arrived and then proceeded to answer Satomi's question.

"I didn't believe it myself, but yes. Either an Angel or something really similar. Well, apparently they were indeed aliens and we are incredibly unlucky in our planet choices. But thinking back, the Evangelion is even more strange than the Angel itself - I thought it was forbidden to research and develop those. Someone high up must have had lots of work to keep that a secret."

She then ended checking Beverly and the remembered to take a look at Kyou. She had some bruises from falling on the way, so the docter got up again. "I'll go get more bandages and take a quick look at how my team is doing. Wait just a bit." The woman said before leaving the room.

Satomi was quiet as Doctor Alma explained. Someone high up would have kept it a secret... it didn't register on her face at all beyond her pushing her glasses back up (they'd gone a bit loose in the shafts) but there was a concern in her mind. "...Where did the robot or Eva or whatever it was come from? It must have been on the ship, right? And... the Angel's still out there, isn't it...?" she stood, and began pacing. Her hand went in her pocket - to her communicator. She was half expecting a ring any second when her dad came back. Or maybe she wanted to call him first? She didn't know at this point...

Ahmed felt that he only had time to nod at the doctor before he immediately started to run down the hallway in a random direction.

 

It took him several moments before he realized that it might be a better idea to try and ask around the place for directions instead of just running around the Ark in the hopes that he would bump into any members of his family. This is why Ahmed would try and find someone who seemed to be more energetic than you would expect them to be and ask "Where do you send people who have just gotten out of cryosleep and have passed their medical examinations?".

Ranga winced as the Doctor treated her bruises but she was otherwise thankful for the woman's help. She sat down to catch a breath and glance over the others in the room. There was so much chaos happening that she really wasn't sure what to make of it anymore. It was surreal and she even wondered if she was still in cryosleep, only something went bad and she was dreaming regardless of her supposed state.

 

Having everyone around her reassured her at the very least and she couldn't be happier in a situation such as this  with people with her. It would be much more difficult had she found herself winding up alone. The word Evangelion ringed in her ears, being the red giant that went to fight the Angel. She knew what they were but only from tales, like everyone else did, but she found it unnecessary to dwell on it too much as the Eva was on their side anyways. If anything they could be grateful to it too! Ranga hadn't noticed that she'd started smiling a wide cheeky smile as her feet, hanging from the chair, swayed up and down. She was probably being way too genki during this all, but it was ok.

Beverly, Kyou, Ranga & Satomi

 

The doctor had been out for a few minutes when the door of the office opened again - and that time it wasn't the gentle Alma Neummann that entered. 

 Two armed soldiers came escorting a man in a lab coat with his comm in hand. He looked around at the children and then asked in a rather insecure tone. "Eh... Excuse me kids. I was sent for a certain Ranga Durian and a Beverly Connors..?" He looked back at his communicator and recognized the girls from the pictures on it. "Could you two please come with me for a moment? And, uh, quick ?"

Satomi paused in her pacing. A scientist - with armed guards? That... was sorta suspicious. To say the least. She spoke first. "...What do you need them for? The medical director told us all to stay here and wait for her to come back."
