Popular Post FairFamily
Ok, the timbur puzzle. If you are interesting into getting Samson's ace and the mascot from Agate Circus you need to solve a puzzle. Not a simple sliding or swapping puzzle but a rotation puzzle. In this puzzle the tiles are in the right place but not are not in the right rotation. It is your job to rotate them back so from this: to this: Not so difficult? Here's the catch: if your rotate a tile all its adjacent tiles are rotated as well. This means you are rotating 3-5 tiles every turn making the puzzle a lot harder. To make it worse the puzzle is randomized and therefore is every case different. However in this guide I will provide the solution to solve the Timburr puzzle and all 4X4 Rotation puzzles (like in Insurgenc). STEP 1: FIX THE TOP ROW The first step is to put each tile in order by rotating the tile below it. As an example to fix the tile with the gree border you rotate the tile below. Because the tile below is chosen any other tiles in the first row are not disturbed. So the first row of your puzzle should look like this: STEP 2: FIX THE SECOND ROW In this step the secod row is fixed. Just like in the previous step, only tiles of the third row should be used. This way the first row is not disturbed. So first and second row of your puzzle should look this: STEP 3: FIX THE THIRD ROW Same as before fix the thrid row by rotating the tiles in the last row. So the first three rows should be like this: Step 4: CHOOSE YOUR CASE Now if you are lucky you get the solved puzzle. Good job, rng favored you. If not, you have your work cut out for you. This is why the puzzle is stupid, the randomizing process can make this puzzle either in a very easy puzzle to a ridicously difficult puzzle to crack. So for those who are unlucky you could soft reset for a better puzzle or you can continue this guide. After the first three steps you can get to 4 possible outcomes including the finished puzzle. So for the 3 remaining patterns I will post how many times you have to rotate each tile to get to the solution. CASE 1: 4 TILES WRONG Solution Spoiler 2 1 0 2 1 1 1 2 0 0 0 3 3 3 0 3 CASE 2: 2 CORNER TILES WRONG Solution Spoiler 1 1 2 0 2 0 1 2 1 0 3 1 1 0 3 2 CASE 3: 2 BORDER TILES WRONG Solution Spoiler 2 3 1 3 3 2 1 0 1 3 0 0 1 2 0 0 STEP 5: ENJOY YOUR TIMBURR So yeah that's how you do the Timburr puzzle and any 4 X 4 rotation puzzle. If you find any new cases for the fourth step of this puzzle please either PM me or post a message her. I tested the puzzles a lot of times and only the 4 patterns show up. Also feedback on this guide is welcomed. 3

Beau
what does the 2 3 1 3 mean on the border tiles missing?
Beau
What do all of the numbers mean, like 2313 in the borders missing only section?
Aphelli
These numbers indicate the number of times you should rotate the tiles of the picture, based on their position. For instance, the top-left corner should be rotated twice, the tile immediately right should be rotated three times, the next one, only once, etc.
Beau
Ok, thank you. I've got all of the tiles correct except for the bottom right tile in the fiery caverns, and it is killing me trying to figure it out. This is the one that I just opened to. Can you help me out? Aphelli
The solution below assumes that clicking on a tile makes it rotate counter-clockwise, as well as every tile that shares a side with said tile. If all the rotations are instead clock-wise, replace the ones with threes. If the rotations are not the same for the tile and the adjacent tiles – just tell me and I’ll try to figure something else out. Same if more tiles get rotated (for instance, the top left tile also rotates the top-left “center tile”). Spoiler 1020 0001 0000 0001 Just checking – you do know that what you just did goes against a few points of internet etiquette, right? Beau
Can someone help me out with this puzzle? It's the Fiery Caverns puzzle. It rotates the squares clockwise, not counter-clockwise

Sorry to answer so late (I stumbled on this by chance -- had you created a proper thread, it might have been noticed much earlier)! I hope that you were able to come up with a solution on your own. If not, try this out (U means "give this tile a half-turn", O means "do not rotate this tile"). Spoiler O U U O U O U U U U O U O U U O @Beau I can (assuming that there is a solution), so technically the answer to your question is "yes". I will not help you here, however, because this is the wrong place to ask the question, you know it and yet you're still doing it.
lakevalor
I made an account on here just to say this: thank you. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. This legitimately saved my ass when I had to do that one rotation puzzle in Insurgence. I wish you the absolute best because this was a lifesaver.
