Noctelis
Been trying different strategies and using pokemon that SHOULD work against him, but he just keeps destroying Piloswine (can't learn him Ancient Power yet), Liligant (not enough time to actually set up with Quiver Dance) and Lightning rod Seaking. And Cain doesn't even help the slightest shit either. If anyone knows a good way to actually beat him, pls tell me.
Lucky98
If it's too hard for you, you can choose to skip Sigmund and battle Sirius instead. Just say "No" when he asks you to battle

Starting to think Reborn is actually a crap game for not having an easier mode in which you don't require specific pokemon with specific nature, IV's and EV's and specific movesets for every specific important battle. Peanuts
Beating reborn most certainly does not require special EV's and IV's. Sure, some battles are harder than others but you can do them all simply with the vanilla pokemon, it just will require a little more thinking. Lucky was just listing an option if you were having trouble with the fight. Would you mind listing your current team with their levels and any relevant pokemon in your pc box so I can see what you have to work with? It's been a while since I've played that part so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I'll try to help. It's not a way to "chicken out." It's an alternate (and in my opinion better) story path. You can choose to fight either Sigmund or Sirius now and the other later. I can guarantee you that you do not need specific natures, EVs, or IVs to beat Reborn. Are you by any chance underleveled? Do you have a full team? Do you actually use items in battle? Can you let us know what your entire team and moves are, and which pokemon in specific you're having a problem with?

The only pokemon I have that can actually do something are my lvl49 Piloswine (Equake, Ice Fang, Ice Shard, Thrash) and lvl49 Liligant (Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance). Piloswine is not bulky enough for the non-electric attacks and Liligant gets paralyzed almost every turn. Even if I were to catch and train a Golem it would still be too slow to actually be able to win thx to the coverage his Electivire has. Another problem is the fact that most of his pokemon use electric attacks that target all pokemon on the field while most of his pokemon also have abilities that actually take advantage of being targeted by electric moves. Would be much easier if it was just a 1-on-1 fight against him. Fighting Aya with just Liligant was a lot easier. Swampellow
I can't help too much because I don't know the exact situation you are in (mons you have, levels, etc) but as long as you are around the proper level, Perfect Natures/Movesets/EVs/IVs are not necessary in the slightest, but I do remember I had a Swanna on my team for that fight, so use whatever you want really. Most fights in reborn aren't as hard as people make them out to be, they just require a bit more thinking thatn just brute forcing your way through everything (its the main mistake most people make in Reborn). I know for a fact that your Swanna died before it could do actually anything against a team of 6 electric type pokemon. Biggest problem is also that the moment Sigmund's 1st pokemon faint he immediately sends out his Electivire which also has Motor Drive to protect itself from allies electric attacks and within his moveset Ice Punch and Low Kick for coverage. Peanuts
It's difficult to help if I don't know your full team. At the very least, if your team is so slow you could try running a trick room setter, tailwind setup, or sticky web to get around the speed difference. This battle has definitely been one of the more difficult ones in reborn for me, so don't feel bad about choosing not to do it. If you can pull off earthquake it also breaks the factory field iirc, so that might help. You can also drop your game file here and I'll mess around with it to see if I can come up with a way to win if you are reluctant to name your team. Like swampellow said, there isn't much we can to to help as it is right now. Edited September 9, 2017 by Peanuts

Peanuts
A couple comments: 1. Why are you attempting this battle without a full team? You only have 3 pokemon at an appropriate level with you, and you expect to take on all 6 of sigmunds. Having a fully leveled team - that is all 6 near the level cap - is almost essential for the battles in reborn. 2. Even so, I almost beat the battle first try just by spamming earthquake with piloswine. I got to rotom and elektross, but failed to complete it since I forgot both of the two have levitate. I've taken the liberty of dying once so I can get to the PC for some more pokemon. Otherwise, you can teach strength instead of thrash to piloswine to move yourself to the PC. I'll try an appropriate battle in a moment. Edited September 9, 2017 by Peanuts
Peanuts
Ok, finished the battle. Beat it with piloswine, meowstic, lilligant, toxicroak, blaziken, and wiscash. Strategy: 1. Spam earthquake with piloswine. Take down as many pokemon as possible. 2. Once piloswine dies, switch to whiscash. Either spam earthquake or use some other move to chip at the survivors. 3. I then used petal dance from lilligant until she died. 4. Finished with blaziken for that overkill blaze kick. Toxicroak is there since I though sucker punch would be good for an easy pick on rotom, but that failed since it used confuse ray. I didn't use meowstic, but consider her backup. Go beat Sigmund's face in now.

Well, I have beaten the crap out of him with a Charizard, a Skuntank, a Slurpuff, a Luxray, a Victreebell and a Golem. This is a fairly random team I guess, and only ONE had a ground-type move, but with enough tries, you can still elaborate an effective strategy out of nowhere (I won all my gym battle before Randomus with this team. I got Heracross afterwards...). The entire purpose of Reborn's gameplay is this: to make you perseverate. I'm a very casual player, but I still came up the winner with a team picked on the go.
