Guzam
Hi. Some of you may remember this during the last couple of weeks. Even with the legends I don't plan on changing it. Infernape - Fake Out - Close Combat - Flare Blitz - Taunt Pretty basic stuff here, nape will taunt suicide leads or TR setters, etc or fake them out if they're faster. CC and FB for strong stab. Togekiss - Nasty Plot - Air Slash - Roost - Tailwind God if only this thing could get 5 moves, because it really wants heat wave, but I guess I can settle for just air slash. Tailwind for triples support, roost so it lives longer, NP so it can deal heavy damage and potentially sweep and air slash because "lol, togekiss flinched me 80 times." Glalie - Return - Freeze-Dry - Explosion - Earthquake GOAT. No explanation needed. Literally god. Excadrill - Iron Head - Rapid Spin - Earthquake - Swords Dance This guy is p good too. Makes levitaters his bitch, spins hazards, sweeps in sand, etc. Really good mon. Tyranitar - Rock Slide - Crunch - Superpower - Stealth Rock Hazard Setter, Sand Setter, TR abuser if it ever does get up, nice spread move, TTar is great. Araquanid - Liquidation - Leech Life - Toxic - Wide Guard Literally the thing that keeps me from killing myself with Explosion. Hits like a fucking truck too, I love this thing. May or may not replace Liquidation with Scald/Surf For a meme team, I feel it actually turned out really well.
Veterans Azeria Posted September 9, 2017 Author Veterans Share Posted September 9, 2017 Spoiler Eelektross Shiny: Yes - Thunderbolt/Wild Charge - Giga Drain - Flamethrower - Dragon Tail/U-Turn/Volt Switch/Drain Punch Jellicent Shiny: No - Scald - Toxic/Shadow Ball/Hex - Recover - Trick Room Krookodile Shiny: No - Earthquake - Knock Off - Rock Slide - Pursuit/Superpower Skarmory Shiny: No - Stealth Rock - Defog - Roost - Brave Bird/Iron Head/Counter Gallade Shiny: No - Close Combat - Zen Headbutt - Feint/Shadow Sneak/Wide Guard/Taunt - Swords Dance Sylveon Shiny: No - Heal Bell - Wish - Protect/Psyshock - Hyper Voice @HUEnd Team looks good for the most part, in my opinion. I'd go with Wild Charge on Eelektross, Shadow Ball on Jellicent, Superpower on Krookodile, Brave Bird on Skarmory and Knock Off over the the slashed out options on Gallade personally. Psyshock would be preferrable on Sylveon too. The team itself is fine, pretty damn good even. Spoiler Achilles (Swampert) (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Waterfall - Rock Slide Kazeshini (Pinsir-Mega) (M) @ Pinsirite Ability: Aerilate Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Return - X-Scissor - Quick Attack - Swords Dance Forever Alolan (Marowak-Alola) @ Thick Club Ability: Lightning Rod Shiny: Yes EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD Adamant Nature - Flare Blitz - Shadow Bone - Perish Song - Bonemerang S3X R0807 (Magnezone) @ Air Balloon Ability: Sturdy EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Discharge - Hidden Power [Ice] - Flash Cannon - Volt Switch STICKEMUP (Breloom) @ Leftovers Ability: Technician Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Bullet Seed - Spore - Power-Up Punch - Mach Punch Dr. Dre (Noivern) (M) @ Choice Specs Ability: Infiltrator EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Hurricane - Draco Meteor - U-turn - Flamethrower @Filthy Casual I'd suggest investing in Wide Guard over Rock Slide on Swampert, there's a large amount of multis and that would be preferrable on your team rather than rock slide. You should probably go for Close Combat or Earthquake > X-Scissor as Return provides all the stab Pinsir needs and it needs the steel breaking power of CC/EQ. Further more the use of Mega Pinsir almost necessitates hazard removal in some form. As Mega Pinsir is 4x rocks weak, I'd invest in a rapid spinner or a mon with Defog, which would be best over Noivern here. Aside from that it's mostly fine. Maybe change Power Up Punch and Perish Song but that's up to you. Spoiler Red Demons (Charizard-Mega-Y) (M) @ Charizardite Y Ability: Blaze Shiny: Yes EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Solar Beam - Air Slash - Heat Wave - Roost Flanery (Torkoal) (F) @ Heat Rock Ability: Drought EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Lava Plume - Stealth Rock - Clear Smog - Yawn Ify (Venusaur) (F) @ Life Orb Ability: Chlorophyll EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Mild Nature - Solar Beam - Sludge Bomb - Synthesis - Earthquake Omega (Latias) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Defog - Psyshock - Draco Meteor - Ice Beam Guardian (Trevenant) (M) @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Harvest Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD Careful Nature - Will-O-Wisp - Leech Seed - Horn Leech - Phantom Force Darm (Darmanitan) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Sheer Force EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Fire Punch - Superpower - Rock Slide - U-turn @Wolfox It's already looking better than the first draft. A few suggestions: Heat Wave > Lava Plume on Torkoal. More power and it doesn't hit your own Pokemon in multis. Roost/Recover > Ice Beam on Latias. Having a hazard remover on a sun team that's able to sustain itself is always good. Flare Blitz > Fire Punch on Darmanitan. It isn't even a contest, Darmanitan's claim to fame is it's ridiculously strong flare blitz, fire punch has such a power drop off it's not even worth it. Perhaps a more offensive Pokemon that doesn't necessarily abuse the sun over Trevenant? Ground, Rock or Fairy types come to mind here. Spoiler Infernape - Fake Out - Close Combat - Flare Blitz - Taunt Pretty basic stuff here, nape will taunt suicide leads or TR setters, etc or fake them out if they're faster. Veterans Azeria Posted September 9, 2017 Author Veterans Share Posted September 9, 2017 @Filthy Casual Staraptor can't use Defog with Reckless and is honestly best used as an offensive Pokemon. How about Skarmory, Tsareena or Latias? Each can remove hazards for your team more reliably and in Skamory's case can use Stealth Rock to free up a slot on Swampert for Rock Slide or Ice Punch. Brelooms prefer Swords Dance over Bulk Up generally, since they tend to be super frail.

Roswell
Here's my current team idea, although I haven't teambuilt in ages, so there's probably lots of ways of improving it. I'd suggest giving Stealth Rock to Mamoswine and Swords Dance to Cobalion, over Knock off and X-Scissor respectively. As this league has doubles and triples in it as well, passive pokemon such as sableye and toxapex aren't the best. I'd suggest getting different water and dark types, bulky water types are pretty easy to come across. Maybe give Blizzard to Ninetales but that's up to you. @Roswell Spoiler Glaceon (F) @ Icicle Plate Ability: Snow Cloak EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Blizzard - Ice Beam - Hidden Power [Fire] - Shadow Ball Ninetales-Alola (F) @ Light Clay Ability: Snow Warning EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Aurora Veil - Freeze-Dry - Moonblast - Encore Gallade @ Galladite Ability: Steadfast EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Drain Punch - Swords Dance - Knock Off - Zen Headbutt Tyranitar @ Focus Sash Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD Adamant Nature - Crunch - Superpower - Stone Edge - Stealth Rock Skarmory @ Leftovers Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe Impish Nature - Brave Bird - Defog - Iron Head - Roost Chandelure @ Life Orb Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Flamethrower - Shadow Ball - Energy Ball - Trick Room @Anstane Looks fine. Hycrox
@Snowy Amine ( MC Kapper) It looks ok, but it's pretty lacking in some areas. For one, the lack of Stealth Rock gives your opponent more room to switch in and out, especially when their type is weak to Stealth Rocks. So, I advise you to run Stealth Rocks on Tyranitar, over Dragon Dance since, truth be told, Tyranitar's not a great user of it. Then, if you don't plan on running Mega Charizard X ever, then Earthquake is a far better physical coverage option. If you do want to run Mega Charizard X, having Flare Blitz over Heat Wave would be better, since both Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y can take advantage of it. In that case, you could just replace Solar Beam with Flare Blitz, since Mega Charizard X makes no use of it at all. Then, speaking of Meloetta: it's better to run only one kind of Meloetta. You could go for a special set, maybe even with Calm Mind, or go for a physical Pirouette-form set, with Relic Song, and dual STAB, because in this state, Pirouettte only really gets one usable move, while Aria will be forced to change forms after using its normal STAB. I advise you to run Aria, since you already have good physical attackers, and with Trick Room, since your team's speed is mostly low and that can help you get around that. Moving on to Scizor: I only suggest a small change here: since it's a Defog set, you'd be better off with Roost over Knock Off, since that'll give you regular recovery, and you'll still be able to reliably deal damage with Bullet Punch and U-Turn (if you prefer an offensive Scizor build for some matches, you could give it a Choice Band). Also make it shiny. Finally, I think your team kinda lacks some synergy. In my opinion, you could either replace Scizor with Excadrill, that becomes extremely threatening under Tyranitar's sand AND has Rapid Spin, or replace Tyranitar with, say, Pelipper, that helps even more with your team's weakness to fire, gets Wide Guard (which is very good for team support in Doubles and Triples), and even has reliable recovery. @blackicemanuI think your team is pretty good as it is, but I'd put either Sucker Punch or Roost over Brave Bird on Decidueye. Brave Bird doesn't give you that much of a benefit, and while with Sucker Punch you'd get some priority and get the upper hand on faster threats, with Roost you get a reliable form of recovery, which is great for a mon like Decidueye that can run some extra bulk effectively. Especially in your team's case, since neither Volcarona nor Alolan Ninetales really appreciate Stealth Rocks. Also, Mega Medicham doesn't really need both Ice Punch and Thunder Punch. You should change the latter to Bullet Punch, as that'll give Medicham good priority that won't be reliant on you switching in and out. @YinYang9705I think it looks decent, yet pretty one-dimensional. Bulk Up Incineroar is interesting, but not very reliable, since it's pretty slow and its special bulk is good, but not great. Not to mention that you already have two physical setup sweepers in your team. So I suggest that you replace it with U-turn, which makes it a pretty good pivot, along with Intimidate. Furthermore, Earthquake is noticeably better than Cross Chop as an offensive option, due to its ability to hit multiple targets and perfect accuracy. Speaking of multiple targets, your team could really use a Wide Guard setter. In fact, I think Registeel should be replaced with Gigalith. With this, you can have some control over weather, Stealth Rocks (although Registeel can run those), and Wide Guard. It's a surprisingly good supporter. It's not as sturdy as Registeel, but it's better suited for your team. Finally, I think Bewear and Incineroar is too redundant, even if the latter doesn't run setup. I suggest Garchomp over Bewear. More precisely, Garchomp with Fire Blast, Rock Slide, Dragon Tail and Earthquake. It is a pretty drastic change, but Garchomp can fullfill a plethora of roles on your team. It is a good pair for Gigalith, since regular Garchomp can cheat luck under the sand with Brightpowder + Sand Veil, and Mega Garchomp gets a pretty big power boost for its Rock Slides and Earthquakes. You can even run Rough Skin + Rocky Helmet if you still need a good physical wall. Fire Blast is a good form of coverage for it, as it deals with physically bulkier threats such as Chesnaught, Scizor and Ferrothorn, so you won't have to rely solely on Incineroar for that, Dragon Tail can stop setup and help stack up Stealth Rock damage. Rock Slide is the best coverage it gets, especially in Doubles and Triples, and even gets the Sand Force boost, and Earthquale is, obviously, its most reliable STAB. Garchomp can help this team a lot. Though I understand if you think Garchomp is too meta. Still, it's a good choice. Holy FUCK this was long. (Shedinja) @ Focus Sash Ability: Wonder Guard EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Will-O-Wisp / Toxic - Struggle Bug - Shadow Sneak - Protect / Baton Pass / Endure Barragan (Spiritomb) @ Leftovers Ability: Pressure EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe - Rest - Sleep Talk - Calm Mind - Dark Pulse C**** (Gardevoir) (F) @ Gardevoirite Ability: Trace EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Charge Beam - Protect - Moonblast / Hyper Voice - Psychic / Psyshock Insurgence (Flygon) (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 8 HP / 124 Atk / 124 Def / 124 SpD / 128 Spe Adamant Nature IVs: 0 SpA - Dragon Rush - Defog - Roost - Earthquake AerodHAXyl (Aerodactyl) (M) @ Muscle Band Ability: Pressure / Unnerve EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature IVs: 0 SpA - Sky Drop - Rock Slide - Tailwind / Stealth Rock - Iron Head Bruteroot (Venusaur) (M) @ Black Sludge Ability: Overgrow EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - Synthesis - Leech Seed Spoiler Struggle Bug allows Shedinja to attack without making contact and to cripple special attackers on the switch, Protect is used to scout moves or lock choiced opponents; Baton Pass may be useful for a slow switch, so that I can counter the opponent's switch-in, while Endure is used to trigger Weakness Policy, although I should be careful of status-inducing moves. Pressure on Spiritomb should be useful to outstall other RestTalkers, i.e. Shuckle. Gardevoir runs Charge Beam to help with Water- and Flying-types (if the Water leader has Pelipper in triples I should be able to annihilate it before it lands a hurricane on Venusaur). I'm not sure about Protect though. Flygon is a jack of all trades: removes hazards for Shedinja, stalls with Roost and deals decent damage. Air drop is handy to rack up burn or poison damage and to negate enemy Follow me in triples. Venusaur is a pure tank, may spread normal poison (whose initial damage is greater than Toxic); I may also consider Knock Off instead of a recovery move. I'm not sure that I'll take part in the league, but if I did, i'd like to use Shedinja and Gardevoir, the others aren't mandatory. Mysterious Fox Assassin
I'm throwing one of my favorite cores in here, but unsure if this will work. Shad_
Thinking about a Flying Mono for this season time to destroy Oliver The team is in its Alpha version so it needs a lot of revision, but a first glance of it might be this Togekiss - Air Slash - Aura Sphere - Dazzling Gleam - Thunder Wave/Roost Gliscor - Earthquake - Roost - Protect - Swords Dance Mantine - Scald - Roost - Haze - Defog Charizard - Heat Wave - Roost - Solar Beam - Focus Blast Skarmory - Roost - Stealth Rock - Iron Head - Whirlwind Mandibuzz - Defog - Roost - Foul Play - Tailwind Edited September 11, 2017 by Shad_ Mistake
Anstane
@Shad_ I think your team is far too passive, between Gliscor, Mantine, Skarmory and Mandibuzz. Your team could definitely use with some more power. I'd definitely consider dropping Mandibuzz in favor of Staraptor or Pidgeot. Also, running just one attack on your Pokemon is generally a bad idea, as they can get walled very easily (Gliscor is useless against anything with Levitate or that is Flying; Mantine is useless against anything with Storm Drain or Water Absorb) I'd drop Protect on Gliscor in favor of Brave Bird or Knock Off and Whirlwind on Skarmory in favor of Brave Bird, as well as Air Slash in favor of Haze.
