Bonnie: The True Reborn Region Savior!

Hey everyone! It is I, Awesome_One here! I’m excited to tell you the dangerous adventure that someone we all know from Pokemon will be going on. You know, X & Y has to be 1 of the best Pokemon Series out there. The cool story. The bad ass scenes. And of course, our beloved main characters: Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie. We all know that Ash took his adventures to a new region called the Alola Region. Serena decided to journey to the Hoenn Region. And Clemont had gone back to Lumiose City to continue being the Electric Type Gym Leader as well as continuing to being an inventor. But Bonnie… She just went home with her brother. “Whatever happened to her?” you might ponder. Well luckily, I can fill you in. But before I can tell the story, I have to go over what’s been happening with Bonnie over the past 4 years. So enjoy, relax and lets see what she’s been up to.

Prologue Part 1 - Worried Big Brother

4 years have passed since her adventure with Ash, Serena and her brother, Clemont, ended. The 1st 2 years, she took care of Dedenne, tried to help her brother with his inventions (which half of them have worked while the other half exploded) and kept trying to find her brother a wife for whatever reason. When she reached the age of 10, instead of going out onto her own adventure, she decided to stay home and train with Dedenne in an Ash kind of way. She also didn’t feel like she was ready enough to go off on an adventure yet. After a year of training with Dedenne, making her 11 at this point, she decided that she was ready to go off on her own adventure. However, Clemont was worried. While she did spend the last year training with her Pokemon, he still remembered their adventures with Ash and Serena and how silly his little sister was and how she could be a bit of a goofball. To see if she was ready, he decided to have a battle with her. He chose Chespin to battle against her and Dedenne. The battle was brutal with neither side wanting to lose but in the end, Dedenne was able to come out the victor. With that win, Clemont felt relieved and didn’t feel like he had to worry about his little sister. After healing up their Pokemon and Clemont making sure she had everything she needed, she left on her journey the next day. Now let me make this perfectly clear. While she did want to challenge Gym Leaders and win their badges, she didn't want to do that here. She wanted to go to other regions to challenge their Gym Leaders for their badges. Plus, this was more her wanting to explore her home region on her own for a while. 

 

Prologue Part 2 - Espurr: Forgotten Remembrance

As she was heading towards Cyllage City, she saw a mansion that seemed really familiar to her. Then it came to her. This was the mansion the group were in to get out of the rain. But then weird stuff was happening in the mansion. Bonnie got seperated from everyone and ended up finding an Espurr. They played together til everyone found her. After figuring out what Espurr wanted, which was to give a necklace back to the person who gave it to her, they decided to help it out and find the person. When they went outside, they met a woman named Elise and she explained that her grandmother, named Lacy, used to live here. Unfortunately, she passed away. This saddened the Espurr. It cheered up though when she explained that she was renovating it and was going to move in and she gave Espurr permission to come to her mansion and play. She decided to go to the mansion and see how the woman and Espurr was doing. She knocked on the door and a man in a suit opened the door. She asked him if a woman and Espurr live here. He explained to her how he bought the mansion from Elise and she had to move away. The Espurr kept coming to the mansion and annoying the man. He told her that if she sees the Espurr to please make it stop annoying him and slammed the door shut. This made Bonnie kind of sad but she decided to look for the little Psychic type Pokemon. She looked in all the bushes and behind the trees. She finally saw it. It didn’t recognize her at 1st but after looking at her face more, it remembered her and jumped up and down in joy. Bonnie told it that she heard what happened. Espurr becomes sad and jumps into Bonnie’s arms, hugging her. It then pulls out and shows Bonnie a green pendant with a pink stone in the middle. Bonnie then realized it must be part of the old woman’s necklace. Espurr tried giving it to her but Bonnie declined and told Espurr to keep it. She pinned it softly onto Espurr’s fur so it wouldn’t get lost. Espurr smiled up at Bonnie and she smiled back. She decided to play with it for a while. It was late and Bonnie knew she had to get to a PokeCenter before dark. She was about to leave when she thought of something. She turned to Espurr and said “Would you… Wanna come with me on my adventure?” The Espurr jumped up and down and shook its head yes. Bonnie threw a PokeBall and caught it.

 

Prologue Part 3 - Flabebe: A Reason To Smile

As Bonnie continued her adventure, she saw a sign that said Calanthe Town. She remembered this place well. This is where she and the rest of the group met a Flabebe who had clung to Bonnie’s head because it looked like a fairy flower. Its own flower, after a gust of wind took it away, got ruined. Its trainer, Grey, told the group that it was visiting his wife, whose name is Florence, at the hospital. Flabebe really cared about her. She wasn’t doing well and knew that Flabebe would make her better. But since her flower was ruined, they’d have to find a new one just like it. Long story short, they were able to find one just like it and was able to visit Florence to cheer her up and make her feel better. Bonnie decided to go visit the old couple. She walked up to their house and knocked on the door. Grey answered and immediately recognized her. He let her in. She told him she was on an adventure and decided to visit since she was passing through. She looked for Florence and asked Grey where she was. “Unfortunately… Last year, she passed away in her sleep.” he said with a soft voice. Bonnie apologized and he told her not to be. She couldn’t have known. He also explained that since his wife died, Flabebe was just not the same. He let the Pokemon out of its PokeBall. It looked really sad and down. It turned and saw Bonnie. It smiled and floated over to her and landed on her hair like it did back in the day. This astounded Grey. This was the 1st time he saw Flabebe smile since the passing of his wife. Bonnie could see he was thinking about something and asked him if everything was alright. His response was “Yes. Everything is fine. Bonnie… Flabebe hasn’t smiled like that since my sweet Florence passed away. I want Flabebe to always smile. Will you please take it with you on your journey? I know it’ll be a great addition to your team.” He held out her PokeBall. This shocked Bonnie. She didn’t want to take away the Pokemon away from her trainer. But Flabebe floated in front of her and nodded her head yes. Bonnie then reluctantly agreed. Flabebe floated over to Grey and hugged it 1 last time. He returned it back to its PokeBall and handed it to Bonnie. “I know you’ll take great care of Flabebe Bonnie.” It was getting late so Grey offered Bonnie to stay for the night. She accepted. The next day, before she left, Bonnie and Grey hugged, as well as Flabebe, and then Bonnie continued on her adventure.

 

Prologue Part 4 - Lapras: 1 Girl Defense Force

One day, Bonnie decided to lay down on the grass beside a beautiful looking lake. She decided to let her Pokemon out so they could all play together. Looking at the lake, this reminded her of the time she became part of a group called the Lapras Defense Force. A Lapras was in a lake and her and 3 boys were protecting it. After a while of playing with it, Bonnie noticed that it was warmer than it usually is. Bonnie insists to bring Nurse Joy here so Lapras could be saved. They reluctantly agree and Nurse Joy treats Lapras. After that, Nurse Joy tells everyone that Lapras is missing its friends and wants to go back to sea. After some obstacles in the way, they finally got the Lapras to its friends and said farewell to each other. This made Bonnie smile. She returned her Pokemon to their PokeBalls (except for Dedenne of course) and continued her journey. As she was heading towards Coumarine City, she decided to walk down by the sea. While she was walking, she noticed something big was coming towards her from the water. “It couldn’t be… Could it?” she said to herself. But, in fact, it was. The very same Lapras she had helped get back to sea was coming right to the shore. But it didn’t look happy. It looked hurt and scared. As Bonnie focused more, she noticed another Pokemon behind it. It was a Tentacruel. She ran out into the water and as soon as Lapras got passed her, she ordered Dedenne to use Thundershock on the Tentacruel. It connected and the Tentacruel swam away. She turned toward the injured Lapras. She knew it had to go to a PokeCenter but it was too badly hurt to move on its own and would take too long to get Nurse Joy over here. So she had no choice but to throw a PokeBall at it and ran to the PokeCenter in Coumarine City. She got to the PokeCenter by sunset and Nurse Joy immediately started to tend to it. She took care of it and then had it rest in a big pool. Bonnie stayed overnight at the PokeCenter but didn’t get much sleep since she was worried about the Lapras. When morning came, the 1st thing Bonnie did was run out to the pool and see how Lapras was doing. But when she got there, Lapras was gone. “Did it go back to the sea?” she thought to herself. All of a sudden, a huge thing jumped out of the pool and splashed back down, causing water to go all over Bonnie and Dedenne. When she opened her eyes, she saw that it was Lapras and that it was fully recovered. She ran up to it and hugged it. “I’m so glad you’re ok Lapras. I was so worried about you. I’m sorry I caught you though. It was the only way to get you here fast though. Don’t worry. I’ll release you to the sea very soon.” Lapras shook its head no. Bonnie had a confused look on her face. She wondered why it wouldn;t want to return to sea. Lapras saw on the ground the PokeBall that was used to catch it. She used Water Gun to shoot it into Bonnie’s hands. “You wanna come with me on my adventure Lapras?” It shook its head yes. Bonnie smiled a big smile and returned her new Pokemon to its Pokeball.

 

Prologue Part 5 - Tyrantrum: New Family Bonding

While walking through the mountains, she came to a clearing and saw a big building. There was a sign that read Fossil Lab. Bonnie gasped. “Tyrantrum!” she yelled. She ran to the entrance and waited for the door to open. When it did, she walked in and was greeted by scientists. One of them recognized her. He walked over to her and told her it’s been a while since the last time she was here. She asked him if Tyrantrum was still here. He laughed and nodded his head yes. He told her to wait near the window and that he’d wave her in when he found it. She did as she was told. She remember meeting Tyrantrum when it was just a Tyrunt. Bonnie rescued it when it was stuck in between rocks in the river. Since then, it was by her side and affectionate. It loved getting its teeth brushed by her and playing with her. After a while of that, Team Rocket tried catching the Tyrunt. So both of them tried running away from them. They were eventually caught and while Bonnie was being held in the air holding onto Tyrunt, they shook her off and she started to fall to the ground below. This caused Tyrunt to evolve into Tyrantrum, bite through the machine and dive down to save Bonnie. After the group gets rid of Team Rocket, Clemont tries to catch the Pokemon but it appears to belong to someone already. Scientists come up to them and explain that they own it and have a Fossil Lab at the bottom of the mountain. They offer a tour of the building for saving the Tyrantrum. After the tour, the group need to leave and Bonnie reluctantly says good bye to her friend. Promising to see it someday. She was so excited that today was the day. She looked through the window and the scientist was waving her in. She rushed in and saw Tyrantrum. It ran up to her and let her pet it. She was so happy as well was Tyrantrum. It obviously missed her a lot. The scientist called out to Bonnie and told it that the Tyrantrum was going to be a dad. Tyrantrum had Bonnie go on its head and it walked her over to the egg and put her back down. The scientist said that it should actually hatch any moment now. It a matter of minutes, the egg starts to glow and standing there is a baby Tyrunt. It runs up to its father and nuzzles him. Tyrantrum does the same. Bonnie goes over to the Tyrunt and pets it and says hi to it. Tyrunt jumps up and down and nuzzles her as well. In its excitement, it jumps onto of Bonnie and starts licking her. As this goes on, one of her empty PokeBalls rolls out and Tyrantrum sees it. It pushes the ball to the scientist and roars to him. At 1st, the scientist is confused. Then he gets it. Bonnie manages to get the playful baby Tyrunt off of her. The scientist hands her the PokeBall and tells her that Tyrantrum wants her to take his baby on her journey. She gasps, looks up at Tyrantrum and asks “Really? You want me to take him?” It nods its head yes. She turns to the scientist and asks “Is it ok if I take it?” The scientist smiles and agrees to it. Bonnie smiles and holds out the PokeBall to the Tyrunt. The Tyrunt smiles, touches the PokeBall and goes inside. Bonnie looks up to Tyrantrum and promises him that she’ll take great care of his baby. It nuzzles her and she hugs it. She says good bye to it and continues on her adventure.

 

Prologue Part 6 - Phantump - Too Shiny Popular

As Bonnie walks to Snowbelle City, she passes through a remote forest and sees a random Phantump. She starts remembering the time she saw a shiny 1. It fell from the sky and was very scared of other people and Pokemon. The group promise to find it new friends. They realized that it probably didn’t see any other Pokemon or person and was very shy or scared because of that. As they were trying to make it some friends, Team Rocket tricked it and tried to steal it but luckily, the group and its other friends saved it from them and from then on, wasn’t all that afraid of its new friends. She missed it but no sooner had she started missing it, she saw it. The shiny Phantump! She ran up to it and almost scared it by screaming “Hi Phantump!” But after it calmed down, it recognized Bonnie and bounced around and floated up to her. Bonnie hugged it. She asked it how it was doing. Its facial expression looked like it turned to sadness. Bonnie was puzzled. Last time, it was so happy and surrounded by friends. Why’s it sad? She looked into the remote forest. No Pokemon was near this Phantump. But it didn’t make sense. She saw a lot of Pokemon being with one another. What happened with this one? She asked it if it was mean to its friends after she and her friends left. It shook its head no. It tried its best to explain what happened. After a while of guessing what happened, she finally got the right answer. Apparently, Phantump was getting a lot of attention because of its different colors. But a lot of the Pokemon just though he was showing off and pretty soon, none of the Pokemon in the forest wanted to be its friend, thinking that it was just trying to show off itself and making it seem it was better. Ever since then, it’s been lonely. Bonnie felt sad. She got an idea though. She sent out her Pokemon and had them all greet it. Phantump somewhat sadly said hi. (in Pokemon language of course) Bonnie told it that her Pokemon are friendly and know that it would never show off on purpose. It looked at all of her Pokemon. They all smiled at it. It teared up and started to cry. Bonnie hugged it and told it that it was going to be ok. After crying, it started to smile and play with her Pokemon. It was starting to get dark out. As Bonnie returned her Pokemon, she pulled out an empty PokeBall. “My Pokemon really like you Phantump. They wanna be your new friends. So what do you say? Want to come along with us?” Phantump cheers and floats up to the PokeBall and goes inside. Bonnie smiles and heads for the nearest Pokemon Center.

 

Prologue Part 7 - Mystery Destination Selected!

After a year of traveling everywhere that she did with the gang in the past, she decided she should head home for a bit. She made it home and Clemont wanted to hear all about her adventure. When she got done telling the story, she showed him all her Pokemon that she caught. They all cheered and gave him a gang hug. Clemont was very pleased with what his little sister was able to capture. All the Pokemon she befriended are now her new partners. “What do you plan on doing now that you achieved your adventure goals here?” Clemont asked Bonnie. “Hmm. I think… I think I’m gonna go on a train and search for a Region I’ve never heard before and try to challenge the Gym Leaders there.” she replied. Clemont was worried that his sister wasn’t thinking clearly but then remembered the Pokemon she had and that he had to stop being worried about her all the time. She packed what she needed the next couple of days and headed to the Lumiose Train Station. She got on board and sat down. She noticed a pretty woman sitting a couple of rows down from her. The Pretty woman saw her too. She smiled, got up and sat right next to Bonnie. They started up a convo. The woman’s name turned out to be Ame and that she was a Pokemon Champion. Bonnie asked her what region she’s champion and she reluctantly said the Reborn Region. Bonnie never heard of that region before and wanted to go there. Ame tried to persuade her to not go there. It was a bad place. The people were mean. Something disastrous always seemed to happen. This did worry Bonnie a bit but she did want to challenge the league of a region she never heard of before. She told Ame that she was going to go to Reborn anyways. Ame sighed and told her she’ll help her sign up when they get to the Grand Hall. Bonnie was so excited that she was gonna start a brand new adventure.

 

So this is how her adventure begins ladies and gentlemen. She’s now 12 years old, has a full team of Pokemon that she had befriended years ago and will be headed to the Reborn Region. How will her adventure pan out? Stay tuned and find out next time!

For right now, this is the most I will post. I'm waiting on getting my sprites done. It would just feel weird to play as one of the regular Reborn character sprites since this is about Bonnie. So just a reminder, until I get the sprites I requested, this will be as much as I post for right now. Thanks for reading!

After the whole finals thing, I wouldn't really talk all that much about X&Y being good because it's a can of worms waiting to be open and it has its own faults. I will say though that Sun & Moon from the few episodes I've seen is surprisingly really good and better than X&Y. We're not talking about that though.

 

It's too late at night to be reading but from the looks of your team, you'll be fine getting through all of Reborn with only a couple leaders possibly posing a challenge but not much stopping you from one or two attempts. I only know this due to knowing HC from the inside out and that it'd be pretty easy to beat with a team selection like that. I'd say if you want a greater challenge stick with using only those six but if you want to show off a little variety, allow yourself to catch a few more Pokemon to swap out (Phantump really is your only weak link on the team).

Honestly, I think you should just choose whatever option is going to allow you to have the most fun, because that's what video games are ultimately about. You're doing a theme run, not a mono or a nuzlocke so there isn't a 'hard' rule to follow. As Com said above, your team is already fine as it is. If I were you I would allow myself to catch a few mons (let's say 4) for if you really had a couple specific ones in mind, or to give yourself some back up in case you're stuck with an opponent in particular.

But it's up to you

I think it would be cool to see Bonnie with a Munchlax/Snorlax but that's just me though. I'm interested in where the story is gonna progress from here.

Thanks. It's gonna be long though. I have my James Reborn run and another Pokémon Anime Character run that I plan on doing over on Rejuvenation. So it'll be long but everyone will have fun reading 3 different stories.

That tru. I did read some of your James run - I like that idea of taking a pokemon anime character and putting them in the setting of Reborn. In my case though, I'm considering doing a fairy-tale run (with the MC as an OC) and posting it as well. Welp we'll see. Anyhow, good luck on all your 3 runs

That'd be awesome to read through! I eventually would like to do that at some point. Obviously, I'd play as myself and everyone would see how I'd react to all the characters and I KNOW I'd have a blast with that. Ohh. And thanks!

I think it will be a nice touch if she at least get to see squishy and ash greninja, cause by the time she was about to leave, they haven't met for years. So i think maybe they're done doing their things and she can like carry squishy like she did before as for greninja, I think she'll help it to find Ash or maybe help the Reborn Region or maybe they could meet at reborn.So they're kinda like extra pokemon

Bro I already commented on this but I forgots to mention Bonnie was one of my fave if not my fave character in XY+Z. Me thinks you should make Bonnie have "zygarde" follow you around (like I did with the... um late Pikachu) but that's just moi thought. Obviously not for battle, that'd be br0k3n.

I've been wondering. Whenever I do actually start this, (I know. Long ass waiting time but it WILL happen) should the Pokemon she has in her teams now know the same moves they did in the anime or just them start off with their lvl 5 moveset? And I'm just saying this now, I will be using the sandbox mode for this for obvious reasons and I do plan on doing breeding and stuff like that but not until we actually make it to the DayCare Couple in Obsidia Ward. I wanna be a little bit fair when I start this story. Haha.

I'd say Lv 5 moveset, since many of her mons aren't available early on in the game (and hence considered mid-tier? At least on Ame's standards hehe)

Fellow people of this fine community. I know it has been a long, long, LONG time since this has been updated. A lot of you have been here since late 2017 waiting for this to happen. And trust me. I've been having an itch to do this too. And I know I've been saying "Ohh it's gonna happen this time" or "it's deff happening at that time" and came up short. BUT DO NOT WORRY! While I cannot come up with a specific date, I will say this. I believe that this will finally come back in the upcoming months. BUT... it will be on a different thread. Which means this whole Prologue will be different. It would feel kind of odd to just come back to this after almost a year and a half of no updates. So a new prologue will be told. And also, when the new thread is started, it will start with a Chapter selection. No more will you have to go through all the pages to search for the 1 episode that you didn't see. Thanks to @Candy I now know how to link episodes into a link form. (I have no idea if that makes any sense but you'll see what I mean when this all starts happening) Also, SEASONS! This will have seasons. So yay for that and last but not least, this will also have a theme song. Probably unneeded buuuut it'll be fun me thinks. So that's all I have to say here. And next time you see me saying anything about Bonnie, it will all be officially starting!
