cybershell12
Pokémon Sohwon is a project that is kind of self aware parody of pokémon fangames in general. Season 1, Episode 1 : Something at First Sight Season 1, Episode 2 : Mind the Generational Gap DEX REORGANISATION PROJECT (aka the thing i have to do before the game can compile again) Currently up to :#354 Mamoswine (minus Eeveelutions) Gen 1 #################### 250/265 094⅓% Gen 2 #################### 085/128 066⅖ % Gen #################### 000/039 000 % Gen 3 #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen KBM # # # # # # # # 000/008 000 % Gen 4 #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen 5 #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen 6 #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen 7 #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen CS #################### 000/??? ??? % Gen 8 #################### 000/??? jan % Character Bios Protagonist Spoiler He/She/Xe comes from Phlox town in Naljo and his/her/xyr family is very poor. He/She/Xe doesn't speak much, but isn't a silent protagonist, and occasionally has dialogue. Timothy Bernard "Timberwood" Woods Spoiler (Sprite by Hek-el-grande on DeviantArt) Sohwon's Wood-type Leader The Lowest Ranking Gym Leader for 50 years straight and proud of it. Although a terrible gym leader, he is an exceptional wood carver, and his art can sell for up to 2000000 yen a piece on the international market. He redistributes most of the money he gains to scientific research and charity. When the Wood type was discovered a few years ago he was overjoyed to learn there could be more talented Grass-Type Leader without him sacrificing his position (Although, the current Grass type gym leader isn't that much better than him). The only Pokémon he has that is difficult to beat is his Mega-Sudowoodo Mary-Sue Roch Spoiler (Spliced by me from Julia's and Titania's sprite from Reborn and Flora's sprite from Rejuvenation) Sohwon's Fairy-type Leader Heiress of Eovs' most influential family. Mary-Sue is known to charm 95% of the population with her speshulness due to her mother having a MSGA/NA (Mary-Sue Genetic Abnormality/Non Active). Her mother, Sunny, works day and night at Duodecim Laboratories at Twelve Island/Science Island to cure her of her MSGA/AS+ (Mary-Sue Genetic Abnormality/Acquired Strong +) She is Professor Silverbell's assistant and has her father completely charmed. She speaks gratuitious (and often incorrect) Japanese, adds -chan to the name high ranking people, uses stereotypical weeaboo words such as "Kawaii", "Nani" and "Desu" and uses "Boku wa" to refer to herself. She is somehow quite low ranked in the league. She doesn't have a gym yet, as most of the bridges in the Eovs are undergoing major renovations which put quite a financial hole in the Eovs Provinces' budget which currently prevents the construction of new gyms in Eovs. Her full name, Marianita Suzannia Arwen Gwyneth Ophelia Pandora Rosalita Lilith Imogen Seraphina Celestia Roch, is an absolute mouthful that even the most charmed of people do not use it. Has a pet Crocky, which she uses as her wildcard in her gym battles. Harry Roch Spoiler Sohwon's Rock-type Leader Current head of Eovs' most influential family. He's far from the strongest battler, but evil teams are basically scared sh*tless of sending even a single grunt in Eovs because of the absolutely ludicrous fines they will have to pay to him for even a single grunt being spotted in Eovs. Owns Roch Drawbridge, and is known to give heavy fines to anyone littering or vandalising the bridge in any way. Always puts his daughter, Mary-Sue, above his son, Wilson, to the point that he celebrates Mary-Sue's birthdays, half-birthdays, quarter-birthdays, and three-quarter birthdays, while forgetting to celebrate Wilson's birthday half of the time, and even then not getting the date right (the closest he got to getting the date right was being 44 days late). Note: VERY EARLY WIP Note:I will actually seriously attempt this for actual genuine realsies and will probably regret it. Features -7 new types borrowed from Pokémon Grape, Pokémon Brown and Pokémon Prism (Atom,Gas,Wind,Sound,Wood,Light,Bone) -The Sohwon Region (which is an acronym for "South Of Hoenn,West of Naljo" which is Divided into 5 Provinces Eovs Province (Acronym for "East Of Vesryn Spear") This province is the most peaceful of all 5 provinces because there being little to no Evil Team activity, and not having an artificially created canyon splitting it in two. 5 Gyms are Located in this Province. The Former(Pre-Unification Era) Eovs League has been repurposed as a Museum showcasing badges from all across the world. Quakia Province Once known as "The Flatlands", this province, the least populated in the region, is now split in half by the Mad-Scientist created Drilldozer canyon. Only 3 gyms are located in this Province. Big Dam City The Largest City in the Pokémon World, Bigger (but not better) than the likes of Reborn, Grand Dream, Cellia and Lumiose. This place is home to more gyms than any other province in Sohwon, including the highest ranked Gym and the most difficult Sigil Hall of the whole Region. 8 Gyms are located in this province. The City's Name comes from the Huge Hydroelectric Dam that powers the City, Patchworkia, and most of Eovs (Grumpy old Mr.Coulomb is adamant about keeping the monopoly on the western side of Eovs.) Patchworkia Province This island is a ecological enigma, even more so than the notably bizarre but still explainable Kalos region, unrelated biomes are thrown about in a random hodgepodge of alphabet soup, of which the effect can even be seen in the South of the neighboring Naljo Region. Has a toxic wasteland, not one but TWO city-in-the-clouds, a sprawling desert, and a huge mountain which the League sits on top of. (only accessible via the Victory Tunnel under Central Stadium in Big Dam City) This province is also home to the infamous Route 363 Ruins, the place even ghosts are scared of. Exclavia Province An archipelago located south of South Rijon and west of the central Sevii Islands, the name of the settlements on this island continue from the Sevii Islands naming scheme, being named after both a number and the traditional name of the island such as Eight Island/Glaive Island and Nine Island/Gem Island. -Actual Graphics for the Gen VI Berry Trees -25 Gyms, One for every type -7 new of each "Type Item" (Berries,Plates,Memories,Gems,Generic Booster Item(One for fairy Also), Z-Crystals --E-Reader Berries are reused as type berries --Eggant Berry added (Heals infatuation) -7 New Arceus Formes -7 New Silvally Forms -12 HMs (Cut,Fly,Surf,Strength,Flash,Whirlpool,Waterfall,Dive,Rock Smash,Rock Climb,Defog,Magma Drift) -HM Items (Each of them Obtained later than the HM they replace so you at least have to use HM's for a little bit after they've been gotten without having to use up half of your move slots) -Fakemon Naljo Guardians (Varaneous,Raiwato,Libabeel,Fambaco) The Weather Bird is now the Weather Bird Octet (Phancero,Articuno,Zapdos.Moltres,Splashcuatro,Windycinco,Hazyseis,Sablesiete) Fake (Pre)Evos (Lapralad,Kangaskid,Kangaskhoo,Vealmoo,Waytbeltt,Spinnh,Frozone,Hellraiser,Slowqueen,Peachyfrog maybe more) Fake Eeveelutions A very limited selection of Fakemon from pokémon Clover Fakemon Sprites (by chanizard1 from deviantart!) Spoiler #849 Hellraiser(Evolve Haunter with Hellfire Stone) Fire/Gas TypeAbility: Ghastly Heart (boosts ghost type moves 1.5x) #850 Frozone (Evolve Haunter with Polarice Stone) Ice/Gas Type Ability: Ghastly Heart (boosts ghost type moves 1.5x) -5 Sigil Halls (The Gym equivalent of Alola's Grand Trails, each of them boosts a different stat) -Elite 8 (bottom 4 are fought in a seperate bout from the top 4 and champion) -Field effects (Using Rejuvenation V10 as a base, with permission from Jan) -All Pokémon will be catchable -7 New Z-Moves (One for every new type) -South Rijon Permission to use stuff from Rijon/Naljo and Prism Fakemons Spoiler Warning! This thread is NOT a Joke. I genuinely want to make this and will try it and have even started with coding the new types. Panduzzy
Hope you do well on your project. Just like the other guy above me, if you got a build that needs testing then i'll definetly be happy to help. Gotta say though, based off your planned features it sounds like you'll have alot on your plate
hope4896
A pretty nice concept for a fangame? Since this game is pretty much the equivalent of a fan game shitpost mashup, would you consider adding in the meme mons from Pokemon Clover? (Yes, Im aware that clover is a romhack instead of a fangame)

(Yes, Im aware that clover is a romhack instead of a fangame) No, sorry. I want the fakemon (and the graphics) at least to have some kind of quality standard. But i do plan on adding some of the less "4chan-y" mons from clover (Squirrap Line, Krokoling Line, Euphoreal Line, the 3 Fossil Lines,Pyralink, Kekkoh Starters, Pitayen Line) now that you mention it
cybershell12
I had to restart this project due to losing files but I can now say that the progress is back to when I lost the files!
cybershell12
To show that this game happens quite a few years after [END OF HEADCANON]. This is the current Magnet Train network map. (Obviously you can't go to every station, but one accessible one might surprise you...) Edit: Mauville becomes it's ORAS incarnation and gains a Magnet Train after a time travel sidequest which is why it's not on the map (and no, this isn't the surprise). cybershell12
Devblog #001 Haunter's "New" Evolutions In Pokémon Sohwon, Haunter now has 2 "new" evolutions... straight from the PokéGod era! #849 Hellraiser and #850 Frozone. (Big thanks to chanizard1 for his awesome sprites!) Hellraiser is Fire/Gas type and Frozone is Ice/Gas type. Notice that they lose the Ghost-type. But thanks to their "Ghastly Heart" ability, they still "STAB" as well as they did before with their Shadow Claws and whatnot. They don't have a Mega Evolution like their cousin, Gengar, but to compensate they have slightly better stats then Vanilla Gengar. Both have a BST of 530, with Hellraiser having stats of 60/65/75/140/80/110 and Frozone being a really really tanky Ice-type with stats of 95/45/90/100/90/110 (Although, BEWARE OF FIRE ATTACKS!) This thing is an ABSOLUTE BEAST in the Frozen Dimensional Field (and yes, there will be a fight against one in said field.) How do you get ahold of one one these? First, wait for the late game to get a Gastly(I know, I know, but the Gastly line is too good to be available early. It STILL isn't available in Reborn(barring the mystery egg, which doesn't count, as it's supposed to be an early gift of a strong Pokémon, with the tradoff being that you cannot choose which one it is) and that game's up to it's 17th episode out of 19) Then you use a Hellfire Stone (what is that? It's Made from a Fire Stone and A Plot Event) or a Polarice Stone (Made from an Ice Stone and Another Plot Event) on a Haunter!
DemICE
Do you have permission for all the stuff you have taken from other games? If not, you endanger your thread being deleted soon.
cybershell12
Yes, for those that need permission. Credit has been given to all of the "free-to-use" resources (Timothy's Sprite for example) As for the Network map, it's mostly for flavor and shoutouts and to show that many years have passed since [TIME]. The "surprise" is actually something not shown on the map I posted. The sprites made by chanizard1 were drawn on my request because while the PokéGods themselves are free to use with credit, the sprites on PokémonFactory are not. Because there was no free-to-use sprite for Hellraiser nor Frozone on the web, I asked chanizard1 on deviant art to make some. As for the clovermon, I'm pretty sure that there's no credits to be given (apart from stating "Pokémon Clover Team") or permissions to be asked (nobody technically "owns" them), as all of them were anonymous contributions on 4chan. I have removed references to Naljo/Rijon/South Rijon being acessible and have removed mentions of the 4 Naljo Guardians pending discussion with KBM and/or the current Prism dev team. Every single sprite not made by me has been credited in the credits file, and no unpermitted sprites have been used. EDIT:Permission Granted! Check op for proof! ShadeStrider
We have a character literally named "Mary Sue"... You know, I once toyed with the Idea myself, except instead of being a side character, It was the main character. And it was in a story that was supposed to be half comedy/parody and half dark, brooding, thought provoking anime. The Original Idea, for me, was to create a character that was mentally unstable, heavily flawed, and arrogant, but because she has the name "Mary Sue", people in game expect her to do everything perfectly and be the perfect "goddess" like character. She, of course, is skilled, skilled enough to join a band of Mercenaries. But she fails a lot of missions, leading people to question the validity of her name. Then, like Five Versions later, the Player would get to give her a name, except in universe, she was the one creating her own name, as a means of "claiming an identity of her own." cybershell12
User friendly Trainer Card that tells you what the level cap is and what HM you can now use. EDIT: Note that this "metadata" is far from final the only thing set in stone in this is the order of the Sigil Halls and which stat they boost Edited August 19, 2018 by cybershell12

Arys
The sprites looks great. Seeing your list makes me want to wish you great luck because that's a lot of work! I don't know why you want 7 new silvally but I'm looking forward for the reason. I only have one question in mind. Does your fake eeveelution has Poison type in it? *puppy eyes*
cybershell12
The 7 new shiny silvally are for the 7 new types (all the shinies for canon pokémon are canon shinies except for silvally's which use the "Reborn/Rejuv" shinies) And yes, Poison Stone will make Eevee Evolve into the Poison Type Sohwon form Umbreon. cybershell12
Update: The National Pokédex 2.0 Gary "Blue" Oak, CEO of Silph Co. , has been working on the 2nd National Pokédex Order, as it has been 25 years since the first National Pokédex was created, as research and information from other regions made the list unwieldly, especially because the internet only became commonplace about 2 1/2 years after the original project (for example, the Eevee family is split into 4 blocks, Miltank and Tauros were found to have a pre-evolution, the late legalization in the Kanto Region of breeding Pokémon in captivity preventing babies from being studied made pichu and cleffa (amongst others) appear later in the list, the rarity and sometimes exotic provenance of incenses to inhibit the "Instant-Growth" reflex only found in captive newborn Pokémon (making them completely skip the baby phase) and related legendaries being separated in the list due to legends from the earlier studied regions not including lore for other members) The new order will regrettably be created before the Galan region survey, but there are reserved spaces for the discovery of eeveelutions of every type some which are as of yet attested but unconfirmed (including notably the fabled "Prizmeon" famously caught on video near Torenia City in Naljo, for which the required method has never been found, nor it's type identified, but was confirmed by multiple eyewitnesses)
cybershell12
DISCLAIMER:The following message is sponsored by the Silph Company, Silverbell Research and Duodecim Laboratories We are very proud to announce the release of the product that has been in development for the last 20 years and was previously known to the public by the code name ESACA-3 (Electric Soldier And Cyber Assistant 3). We present to you: Porygon3 the friendliest, most bug free, and friendly provider of safe transportation to and from cyberspace, with none of the safety hazards found within previous iterations (Porygon was notable for causing undesired effects on humans when ridden with electric-type Pokémon due to interference, Porygon 2 had issues with transporting less than two users at a time which could cause temporary splitting of the person into 2 during cyberspace (Note for researchers wanting to do safe Split-Brain experiments there is a much safer version of this as an optional feature included in Porygon3, also allowing 100% safe simulated ablation of the corpus callosum for up to 5 people at a time)) Porygon3 Units will be stationed immediately at every Pokémon Center in the Sohwon Region as well as select locations across Japan and Naljo. cybershell12
Update time! I've gone through all pokémon and many of them have received new evolutions. Ledior,Elohiyem,Salavenge,Togedenno,Cyboreloom are some of the new evolutions that you will discover in the Sohwon Region. But wait, There's more! get your incenses ready, as Cuttre , the Baby Scyther, and Larvittle, the baby Pinsir and Heracross spring into the game. If you're lucky enough to get an Extremely rare Prism Stone from the Naljo Region(although there are rumors about some being found very deep in Coulomb Mines, currently being investigated by Naljo's ambassador to Sohwon to potentially lower the costs fifty fold) you might even be able to evolve Larvittle into Prisman, the Gem Beetle
