RLDR Jessica
Hey there everyone! Jessica here, oh and Mr Wiggles of course! Here to bring you the first incarnation of Redemption Weekly! Redemption Weekly - Week One and Two! I'll be going over winrates, some interesting battles suggested by your very own leaders, tips and tricks and maybe even more! Since there wasn't one for week 1, I'll be performing double duty today and going over both! Let's start it all off with the ever so static Electric Leader, Nick! Spoiler Total Battles: 48 Total Wins: 24 Total Losses: 24 Winrate: 50% As usual(At least from what I've heard that is!) the one with the lowest winrate is indeed once again Nick. That being said I've heard that this is a stark improvement compared to his previous years! He's been using a lot of singles compared to his previous tunnel vision on triples! Be prepared for his Golem, dreaded Excadrills! It'll trap you and with an Air Balloon on top, prevent you from using Earthquake for an easy sweep! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-97368 Next up is the formerly infamous wall of ice, Haley! Spoiler Total Battles: 53 Total Wins: 37 Total Losses: 16 Winrate: 69.8% With a winrate nearly 20% higher than Nick(Which only really shows how bad he is....or how good Haley is in comparison? Who knows!)Haley's been hard at work making people earn their badges, or get lucky for them! Frequently using triples and doubles, she often employs a strategy revolving around using Tailwind with her Articuno and then overwhelming you with powerful area of effect moves such as the tried and true blizzard spam! Her Snow Cloaked Pokemon also often turn inaccurate moves into a huge gamble to use! Key members are of course Articuno and her Ace, Alolan-Ninetales but one should always keep an on her devious Weavile. Armed with a variety of utility and coverage moves, it's often primed to disrupt large parts of you plans! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguedoubles-97465 And to end off Bracket 1, we've got the adorable ghost leader, Mira! Spoiler Total Battles: 67 Total Wins: 50 Total Losses: 17 Winrate: 74.6% Following the similarity trend from last season is Mira! Known for being a hard opponent to overcome, she's seemingly completely changed tactics! Her infamously brutal Trick Room triples seems to have mostly been phased out in favor of a more annoying singles playstyle, utilising the many utility moves Ghost types have in their arsenal! A staple is of course her Mega Sableye and Mimikyu, surprisingly however, she's taken to using Mega Banette at times too! Not only that, but she deviously uses even regular Banette as a surprise for those who use powerful dark types such as Tyranitar and Bisharp! Be sure to watch out if you see this tricky creature on Team Preview! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-97539 Now moving on to Bracket 2, we don't have much yet as people are just making their way here, but there's still some highlights! First up is our royal princess themselves, the fairy leader Ariel! Spoiler Total Battles: 1 Total Wins: 1 Total Losses: 0 Winrate: 100% With a perfect win/loss ratio...and only 1 battle to go off of, there's not much I can say about our loyal Fairy leader. She's seemed to be sticking to her tried and true Trick Rooms, but aside from that...nothing! She's only appeared once at that. Talk about abandoning your duties! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-97999 Next is one who hasn't been anywhere near as absent, quite the opposite in fact! Let's get into our favorite grass type user, Olivia! Spoiler Total Battles: 12 Total Wins: 7 Total Losses: 5 Winrate: 58.3% Sure been taking the lion's share of battles for Bracket 2, haven't you Olivia?! Following her pattern of never sticking to one particular tactic, Olivia's been all over the place as usual! Trick Room, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sticky Web, Spikes! Talk about unpredictable! As for standout Pokemon...just like her playstyles they're all over the place! Venusaur, Virizion, Whimsicott, the list goes on! Her Serperior remains a fierce threat in the end game, just waiting for an opportunity to snowball out of control! Make sure to keep something around to stop it before it goes haywire! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiondoubles-97977 And to finish Bracket 2 off, it's our very own shining star, give it up for Jasper! Spoiler Total Battles: 3 Total Wins: 2 Total Losses: 1 Winrate: 66.6% Similar to Ariel, Jasper's had an abysmal amount of battles in comparison to everyone else. What he doesn't have in quantity though, he makes up for in quality! Frequent proponents of his teams include Gallade and Latias! I remember him saying he didn't like or wanted to use it though.....Oh well. Gallade in particular, seems to commonly be using a weird bulky wish set! Clever way to deal with physical dark types such as Tyranitar, I must say! He's also used a really strange Uxie, I've got no way to describe it properly being honest, so I'll let the replay speak for itself. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-97900 Only one battle has occurred thus far in Bracket 3, so I'll be swift with this! It was against none other than our kinda arrogant elusive water type expert, Fabian! Spoiler Total Battles: 1 Total Wins: 1 Total Losses: 0 Winrate: 100% Similar to Ariel, Fabian has only had a single challenger so far! His style of battling as pointed out by some of the spectators, seems remarkably similar to our old Psychic leader, Edgar. In particular his usage of Slowbro and Slowking. Watch out for the Sharpedo too, even without it's Mega Form, it's a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately that's all I have on him so far. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-97973 No battles occurred for Helen and Ken unfortunately. Due to a lack of battles for Fabian and Ariel, I'll try to go over them in more depth in next week's edition, maybe all of B2 actually, so stay tuned for that! XOXO Jessica and Mr Wiggles! RLDR Jessica
Redemption Weekly - Week Three and Four! So sorry about there not being an update last week, was quite busy! I'll be going over both weeks once again to make up for it though! On top of that, look forward to Bracket 5 coming at you soon! ....well it would be if they didn't go and get online already.... Spoiler Nick - Total Battles: 62 Total Wins: 28 Total Losses: 34 Winrate: 45.2% Tumbling down by 5% since last time we covered him, the lack of challengers must be giving him a real bad time. I'm sure he's used to it by now though! I haven't really seen much of a change in terms of the Pokemon or Strategies he uses though, so not much to go off on there. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-98418 Spoiler Haley - Total Battles: 82 Total Wins: 55 Total Losses: 27 Winrate: 67.1% As usual, Haley's still going strong with her signature doubles and triples. Articuno's sure helped her a lot to put her back where she allegedly used to be! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-98308 Spoiler Mira - Total Battles: 100 Total wins: 77 Total losses: 23 Winrate: 77% First to 100 battles and as usual, the one boasting the highest winrate! Makes you wonder why the people in charge put her so low...underestimating Ghost as a type perhaps? But then there's her performance from last season to take into account too....Either way! Her performance is good enough to earn her a promotion, switching with the next leader! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-98945 Spoiler Olivia - Total Battles: 48 Total Wins: 27 Total losses: 21 Winrate: 56.3% Olivia's been having a bit of a bad time as of late, nearly completely turning back to her signature Trick Room strategy, with some new tricks added! The spotlight sure is dazzling isn't it? Unfortunately that change came just a -bit- too late and her winrate was low enough for the short straw to be handed to her. Effective immediately she and Mira will be switching places. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-98780 Spoiler Ariel - Total Battles: 22 Total Wins: 13 Total losses: 9 Winrate: 59% Oh hey would you look at that, they actually have battles I can look at this time! Isn't that great! Let's get right into it! Having about an average win loss ratio, Ariel much like Olivia seems to be a jack of all trades; they play in a variety of formats and playstyles. One thing that stays common among all of them is how set up heavy their teams are. I'm talking Aurora Veil, Weakness Policy, Tailwind, Friend Guard, Cosmic Power, Calm Mind, all of that kind of stuff! Not to forget the tried and true Trick Room triples so many of us ADORE(not...). Big thing to watch out for would Clefable, adorable thing that it is, is on the inside, actually a monster. Unaware and Magic Guard make it a defensive threat to behold and it can get very bulky and strong, VERY quickly. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-98946 Spoiler Jasper - Total battles: 23 Total wins: 16 Total losses: 7 Winrate: 69.7% Can someone explain to me what actually happened with him? Because I actually do not have a clue. I've been trying to contact him..to no avail. Either way he's got the second highest winrate, though nearly 10% lower than Mira. He's doing spectacularly either way, far outshining the other 2 Bracket 2(well, former..)leaders. Pretty much the same stuff for the most part, though Tailwind has been appearing a lot. Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-98677 Spoiler Fabian - Total Battles: 5 Total wins: 3 Total losses: 2 Winrate: 60% Just like Ariel, he actually has battles to talk about now. He seems to have a large preference for Singles but not a single consistent battling style either. Swinging from stally to offensive type of teams. A consistent member is his ace; Napoleon(What an original name for an Empoleon am I right?)for some of everyone's favorite pebbles. Defiant allows it to quickly shut down defoggers such as Latias that try to remove them too. He doesn't seem to be quite as used to it yet despite a respectable winrate(out of a measly 5 battles.)but water is a force to be reckoned with all the same! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-98926 Spoiler HELEN - Total battles: 21 Total wins: 14 Total losses: 7 Winrate: 66.6% Here's everyone's favourite rock type user, HELEN! With a rock solid winrate to boot, Helen's been on a roll with her battles. All of her usual favourites return, with some fresh new additions in the form of Regirock and Mega Aerodactyl. Funnily enough, right after changing her ace to Aggron, she starts using Mega Aerodactyl like crazy. Returning favourites such as the famous BUTTERLORD(Her Shuckle.)are still doing fantastically. Be sure to watch out for Regirock, in the rare scenario it doesn't miss stone edge, it can easily eat a super effective hit, and sweep with a 1-2 combination of Rock Polish and Weakness Policy! RARE SCENARIO I SAY! Featured Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-98323 Spoiler Ken - Total battles: 9 Total wins: 6 Total losses: 3 Winrate: 66.6% Less than half of Helen's battles but with the exact same winrate, Ken's seemingly showing he's got more skill in him than the previous Dragon Leader! Similar to her, he's a big fan of singles. A lot of his matches have ended in really close victories or loses, something he himself really likes. On the edge never knowing when something might go right or wrong but always vigilant. Kind of like me actually, always waiting for the next big scoop. And boy do I have it for you guys! RLDR Jessica
Redemption Weekly - Week Ten! Hi, welcome to the Redemption Weekly! …Or monthly, I guess! Sorry, sorry, me and Mr. Wiggles kind of lagged behind… by a month. But we’re back, with some big updates! Since last time, Bracket 5 was opened, and so was Bracket 6, and they had some pretty interesting things to show! Well, most of Bracket 6 was revealed 😉. Speaking of, congratulations to Shinyrio for getting 17 badges! You can finally fight the champion! You’ll have to wait and see who it is though… Now, let’s see how the leaders did for this month. It has been long enough, so each leader gets two replays! Spoiler Nick- Total Battles: 75 Total Wins: 36 Total Losses: 39 Winrate: 48% He’s slowly feeding off restarters climbing back to his 50%, he didn’t have many battles over the last month, but he’s going steady! It’s kind of a shame though, since he got so much new stuff recently. He got Zapdos and Zeraora, two very powerful legendaries, and two more defoggers with the USUM changes, Rotom and Silvally! Certainly an improvement on the hazard clearing he had before, which was… none, actually. Uh, oops? He still seems to almost always go for Singles, but again we didn’t see that much from him lately… Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101662 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100808 Spoiler Haley - Total Battles: 114 Total Wins: 77 Total Losses: 37 Winrate: 67.5% Since last month, Haley had her winrate go up by… 0.4%. It’s something, I guess. Her and Olivia seem to be getting all the B1 matches, and they’re certainly going strong! She still goes mostly for Triples, but you might get a rare Singles or Doubles now! She didn’t change much aside from that. Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101371 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiondoubles-100312 Spoiler Olivia - Total Battles: 98 Total Wins: 66 Total losses: 32 Winrate: 67.3% Livi seems to have gotten her groove back! Since she dropped a bracket, her winrate went up quite a bit since last time, mostly thanks to her Trick Room squad! She still does balanced singles at times though. Not much of a change in her style, and her Gourgeist’s Rock Slide can still be used to do damage! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-100706 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101780 Spoiler Ariel - Total Battles: 55 Total Wins: 35 Total losses: 20 Winrate: 59% And here’s our beloved if you say so Fairy leader! Ariel has been pretty quiet so far, pretty unusual of xyr if you ask me. Xe’s mostly been doing Singles now, with all of the setups xe loves so much. Screens, Mimikyu, webs now sometimes, that xe got with USUM, and Weakness Policy Diancie is a big hit with xyr! Though it’s mostly the challenger getting hit… Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101325 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100828 Spoiler Jasper - Total battles: 50 Total wins: 33 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 66% He seems to be all better now, that’s honestly a relief… and his winrate dropped a little bit since last time but nothing dire. He’s still alternating between Singles and Tailwind, moreso Singles, though he hasn’t been battling much recently, and he hasn’t used his new Mew yet, but be ready for that! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101438 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100632 Spoiler Ken - Total battles: 49 Total wins: 32 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 65.3% He seemed to be a bit shaky after the last weekly, but he got back to his lively self after dropping a bracket! That seems like it was so long ago… Anyway, he’s ready to roll with singles, and sometimes Tailwind triples, and he seems to be liking Kommo’s (apparently its name is Stevie) new moves! You’ll also see a lot of Freddie, his Altaria, and beware: you never know what Freddie might do! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-101372 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100314 Spoiler Mira - Total Battles: 122 Total wins: 95 Total losses: 27 Winrate: 77.9% Mira is still going very strong, still with the most battles so far, a second promotion since las time, and the highest winrate in her bracket! She is still a big fan of her Singles teams, of which you never quite know what you’ll get, though I’ve seen her back a couple of times to her last season’s bread and butter: Trick Room Triples: Be sure to pack Iron Balls for that! Her favourites seem to be Mimi, her ace, and the likes of Aegislash and Alolan Marowak! Don’t go unprepared, or you’re in for a tough time; Mira has the second highest winrate of the league for a reason. Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101677 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100091 Spoiler HELEN - Total battles: 45 Total wins: 26 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 57.8% And here’s our lovely HELEN! She’s still lots of fun and she’s still going strong, although she took a bit of a hit since last time. She’s still very fond of Regirock and Mega Aerodactyl, but her ace, Aggron, still appears from time to time! And of course, her Shuckle will be there, ready to be immortal! She didn’t get any official matches with it, but her Stakataka is ready to rock (pun intended)! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100102 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-99551 Spoiler Fabian - Total Battles: 50 Total wins: 37 Total losses: 13 Winrate: 74% And now, to our chilli pepper water leader, Fabian! He seems to be pretty different from Lilly. In fact, he’s yet to use full stall, and when he goes rain triples, he usually prefers to be a bit more creative! There are a lot of slow Water-types out there, and he’s well aware of that, as he’s quite the fan of Trick Room! He also showed us some very interesting water shows with Water Spout Octillery and After You Swift Swim Seismitoad! When he goes singles, he seemingly prefers to use hard hitters and sweepers like Gyarados. He improved quite a bit since last time, and has the fourth highest winrate right now, at a comfy 74%! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101779 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-101442 Spoiler Jessica - Total Battles: 23 Total wins: 15 Total losses: 8 Winrate: 65.2% And here I am, to talk about… myself! Me and Mr. Wiggles have been going steady, doing some singles and some triples. I usually go with my bouncy Chansey and some normal for singles, but I like to be a bit more creative in triples. I usually go with Tailwind and then with some new faces, like Kangaskhan and Alolan Raticate! Mr. Wiggles joins in too sometimes, though he’d rather fight Lucy than the dark leaders… But I just can’t say no to him Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101781 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-101776 Spoiler Duncan - Total Battles: 29 Total wins: 23 Total losses: 6 Winrate: 79.3% Here he is, the man of the hour: Duncan! Right now, he has the highest winrate of all leaders, ahead of Mira! For this, he even got a promotion, going up to bracket 5! Like her, he seems to prefer singles, and he’s bringing some new things into the table! One of his favourites is Inner Focus Mudsdale, it chases away any smart Togekiss! He’s still using his Gastrodon, which has some new tricks to be immortal, and his Nidoking, who is as strong as ever, and now with a queen to fill in for him, or with him! He seems to be showing more of his smarter side this season, who knows what we’ll see next? Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101337 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100715 Spoiler Emilia - Total Battles: 19 Total wins: 14 Total losses: 5 Winrate: 73.7% Now to Emilia! She’s been pretty much the same as last season: a huge fan of sunny triples, but with some singles in the middle! Though we’re seeing quite a bit more from Incineroar, her newest Triple staple! Entei also looks like an upcoming hit, we'll see as she’ll get more battles. Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101674 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-100814 Spoiler Lucifer - Total Battles: 5 Total wins: 1 Total losses: 4 Winrate: 20% Poor lucy: the legendaries have been rough on him… He’s currently with the lowest winrate, at 20% (though he did face some pretty bad matchups), and he’s being demoted. Mr. Wiggles seems pretty happy about it though. He seems to be trying, to no avail so far, Trick Room in doubles and triples, and his usual in singles. He seems to be taking it better than you’d expect though. There’s still time for him to go back up: it’s only been 5 matches! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-100628 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101328 Spoiler Jayde - Total Battles: 9 Total wins: 7 Total losses: 2 Winrate: 77.8% A newcomer, but she has the third highest winrate right now. She seems to give no breaks to her challengers, preferring singles and making good use of her legendaries, especially her new ones: Heatran and Jirachi! Though she seems kind of unmotivated in battles, I wonder if she’s really into this… Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100738 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-101474 Spoiler Erwin - Total Battles: 12 Total wins: 8 Total losses: 4 Winrate: 66.6% And the fan favourite is back! Erwin’s still at his old tricks again: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it! He’s still exclusively doing singles, keeping up with his old buddies but letting some neat stuff slip by, like Curse Mega Scizor, and even got some new friends, like Buzzwole (Jonathan)and Ribombee (Zoey)! He seems pretty happy and ready to battle! Aside from that, he also recently beat the neighbouring Mythos League, so congrats to him! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-100830 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101775 Spoiler Leo - Total Battles: 2 Total wins: 1 Total losses: 1 Winrate: 50% Leo has had a bit of a slow start: in fact, his two featured battles have been his only battles so far. Even then, he already got into the scene with a fresh Tailwind team with… wait, is that… HE ACTUALLY- *ahem*, as I was saying, he started this season with a bang, like he started his run for the council. His campaign’s doing great so far! Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-101437 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101770 Spoiler Venus - Total Battles: 6 Total wins: 4 Total losses: 2 Winrate: 66.6% Our mysterious mistress is back, and she’s just like before, but apparently, with a whole new look! I must say, this definitely suits her! She’s still using her famous singles teams, based around several walls, with a couple of sweepers. She’s taken a shine to Nidoqueen, her bulky rocks setter, but her ace, Salazzle, is yet to make an appearance! Otherwise, she’s the same Venus we know and love. Featured replays: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101672 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101762 Bracket Changes: - Duncan (4) > Lucifer (5) Ok, that concludes it for this week’s issue. With some luck, there’ll be more next week. Until next year! Edited December 28, 2017 by RLDR Jessica
RLDR Jessica
Redemption Weekly - Week Thirteen! Hi, welcome to the Redemption Weekly! All right, now that we got the "weekly" jokes out of the way, let’s talk redemption. We already got our first champion, congrats to Shinyrio! Other challengers are also climbing the league, so there might be a new champion soon! Not much else happened over these three weeks, to be frank. But let’s get onto the leaders. Spoiler Nick - Total Battles: 62 Total Wins: 37 Total Losses: 41 Winrate: 47.4% He finally had a couple of battles! Though… he was mostly not successful. He’s still… there, though! Still doing the singles he loves so much. Not much to say here, to be honest. He did get to use Zapdos now! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102544 Spoiler Haley - Total Battles: 119 Total Wins: 82 Total Losses: 37 Winrate: 68.9% She had… some battles lately, since she seems to be popular among restarters. She seems to still be doing triples with a dash of singles. She’s still going strong though, with a clean streak since last time! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102870 Spoiler Olivia - Total Battles: 109 Total Wins: 75 Total losses: 34 Winrate: 68.8% Livi’s still keeping it slow with her Trick Room mostly! Can’t say it hasn’t been working out for her, to be honest. She has had the highest number of matches in the first three brackets since last time, a whopping… 11! It’s… it’s something. She won a great share of them too. I’d say she got a lot of battles for being a favourite among restarters and recent challengers, and it has been certainly paying off for her! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-102954 Spoiler Ariel - Total Battles: 60 Total Wins: 39 Total losses: 21 Winrate: 65% Not much that’s new here, but xe did get to use Tapu Fini! Knock Off Tapu Fini, even! Xyr playstyle is now almost always singles, and all xe does is get out of bed and beat whoever’s waiting for it (Most leaders do, in fact). Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102307 Spoiler Jasper - Total battles: 56 Total wins: 38 Total losses: 18 Winrate: 67.9% Not much to say here either, he’s not getting much work in the league. Still going strong, and even trying out some cool stuff now, though like Ariel, all he does is come over here and battle. I hope his work with Leo is paying off... Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102737 Spoiler Ken - Total battles: 54 Total wins: 35 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 64.8% 5 battles seems like the standard for brackets 3 and below, and Ken got there! Which is something… i guess. And we got to see Trick Room Exeggutor in Singles from him, which was definitely interesting. And… that’s it I guess. Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102113 Spoiler Mira - Total Battles: 127 Total wins: 99 Total losses: 28 Winrate: 78% If there’s one constant we can expect, it’s that of Mira kicking ass and taking names. Still, she only did that four times these weeks. Officially, at least. I guess the highlight is that she got in a tour once for fun? Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102326 Spoiler HELEN - Total battles: 45 Total wins: 26 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 57.8% HELEN has had… wow, 0 battles for a month. yikes. But she’s still a great presence in the lobby nonetheless! It’s always fun when she’s around, and she might just face you in a friendly battle! Those are usually hackmons, but she’s up for most formats. Featured replay: Spoiler Fabian - Total Battles: 57 Total wins: 42 Total losses: 15 Winrate: 73.7% He got more than 5 battles! Fabian is still the second most prolific among the leaders (after me, of course ;)), alternating between fast-paced bulky offensive singles and Trick Room triples mostly, but occasionally breaking out the Octillery :]. Naturally, he’s still doing very well, and shows no signs of slowing down. Always watch out for his Crawdaunt. It’s an absolute monster if it gets you off guard. Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102429 Spoiler Jessica - Total Battles: 35 Total wins: 22 Total losses: 13 Winrate: 62.9% Can’t be saying I had it as slow as most leaders (it’s actually great for me, since I can just say I was busy this entire time :P). I like to do a little bit of everything, good ol’ regular singles and tailwind triples mostly, and I like to use every pokemon I have access to, especially Bibarel! Mr. Wiggles didn’t get much of the spotlight so far, but you bet he’’ll be ready for anything! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102113 Spoiler Emilia - Total Battles: 31 Total wins: 21 Total losses: 10 Winrate: 67.7% Emilia also had quite a bit of battles recently! This season, she's been going more for singles, doing them almost as much as she does triples, and it's been working for her! Her triples strategy is pretty well known at this point, so I'll talk a bit about her singles: she likes to go all out, with Torkoal to clear hazards and everything else to overpower her opponent, especially her Charizard. Be careful with it, especially after it sets up! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-102538 Spoiler Lucifer - Total Battles: 30 Total wins: 22 Total losses: 8 Winrate: 73.3% If there’s anyone who can’t complain about these three weeks (provided you don’t bring up Togekiss), it’s Lucy! Since last time, he went from being down in the dumps, to being over 70%! This is owed to his persistance, and also to everyone with a Cobalion having gotten past him already, along with some new tricks, like a defensive Hydreigon and a neat new Trick Room squad! His luck is still as bad as ever, though, but he doesn’t let that get to him… too much. He seems to be pretty interested in Jayde, but don’t tell him I said that Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-101997 Spoiler Duncan - Total Battles: 32 Total wins: 26 Total losses: 6 Winrate: 81.3% The Dunc’s still going strong, keeping the highest winrate in the league! Can’t say he’s changed much though. Still a big fan of Gliscor and Gastrodon, of course. He didn’t have many battles this week, though. I guess this is what came with his promotion. Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102741 Spoiler Jayde - Total Battles: 19 Total wins: 14 Total losses: 5 Winrate: 73.7% Business as usual for Jayde, she’s certainly showing us why she is in bracket 5, and she’s not showing any signs of slowing down! She usually goes for singles, using her legendaries sparingly, as well as Mega Aggron, a HELEN classic, that Jayde has been pulling off quite a bit lately! She also might have a thing for Lucy, but don’t tell Jasper I said that. Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102951 Spoiler Erwin - Total Battles: 21 Total wins: 14 Total losses: 7 Winrate: 66.7% Everybody’s favourite bug boy is still kickin it, with his old - and new - pals, and he’s been quite the presence in all sessions he’s in! Besides battling, he also starts most conversations in the lobby nowadays, and he’s still the laid-back, but playful jokester we all love! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102513 Spoiler Leo - Total Battles: 11 Total wins: 7 Total losses: 4 Winrate: 63.6% Now that we’ve seen a bit more of Leo, it’s clear he can be creative in battle when he wants to! He mostly does Singles, but he just might go with Trick Room or Tailwind Triples. Being resourceful as he is oughta help with his campaign! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102433 Spoiler Venus - Total Battles: 12 Total wins: 8 Total losses: 4 Winrate: 66.7% She’s not as overpowering as she used to be, sadly. This is due to the new meta, which is giving her quite a hard time. She’s still going strong though, so don’t expect an easy win against her! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102736 Spoiler Oliver - Total Battles: 3 Total wins: 2 Total losses: 1 Winrate: 66.7% He’s finally here, performing for you! Though so far he only had one challenger, and a successful one! Looks like Oliver is using mostly singles, with two legends per match on hand! Speaking of, his Zapdos is a force to be reckoned with. You better be sure you can hit it hard, or you’ll have a tough time! Featured replay:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-102425 Ok, that concludes it for this(these) week’s(weeks') issue. With some luck, there’ll be more. Stay tuned! Roswell
Just so you know, Ken's featured replay leads to the same battle as Jessica's (which is a battle with Jessica). Might be something that needs edited.

RLDR Jessica
Redemption Weekly - Week Twenty-Four! Hi, welcome to the Redemption uhhh… bi-monthly? Hey, better late than never. Yes, it’s been a while. A huge thanks to my audience for being so patie- wait never mind. Anyways, a lot has happened since last time. I did a couple of interviews live (speaking of, look out for those, more on that below), there have been five more champions, and Jasper quit a bit earlier than the rest of us. That’s why, this time only, I’ll have a segment for each of these events! And I’ll even have a special announcement at the end, so stay tuned. The interview: Well if you existed around 3 weeks ago you might have been there for one of those. I asked some questions to our beloved leaders about themselves and their time in this league! It was fun, and we got to know some more about everyone! Aaaaand my Ditto’s in a timeout for a while now. Nothing important aside from that. See for yourself what happened! Spoiler https://pastebin.com/YWrHZCAT Now, there might be some more interviews soon, since some leaders ended up not getting the spotlight, so stay tuned! The Champions: Well it’s certainly been a long time, long enough for 6 champions to get their title! Congrats to ndgbcfvb, Nimh, Pyrrhon, DW and Jmanultrax for beating this season! Shoutouts to the first two for beating Oliver in one try too! Can’t say their paths were all the same, they all have some pretty different (sometimes original) teams! Now most are climbing X-League (also known as Naganadel central), and some might just win it. NDG is actually pretty close. We could see the first champions of X-League! Goodbye Jasper: If you existed in the lower-middle brackets recently, you’ve probably been inconvenienced by the abrupt departure of our psychic leader Jasper. I guess he wasn’t really a fan of this game in the end. He was still there for the interview, but now he’s focusing on his work with Leo. Because of this, I’m subbing for him as the psychic leader! Wait, then who’s subbing me? If you were live last Sunday, you know who’s replacing me for the time being, but might as well announce it properly: Spoiler N0RM! He’s a special Porygon-Z created by Nick to help me out, that’s batting for me while I battle for Jasper! He usually battles like me, using the wide variety of Normal-types out there. Norm doesn’t have much experience, but certainly fits the bill. Though I heard Helen was making some changes to it… Now, with all this said and done, let’s check on everyone: Spoiler Nick - Total Battles: 92 Total Wins: 45 Total Losses: 47 Winrate: 48.9% Same old Nick, he’s… actually I’ll be nice to him: he helped me a LOT by making N0RM! And he did it at a decent price too. Anyways, he had some battles, but not many, just tried some random fun stuff in X-League, and he tried to go for the elusive 50%, but unfortunately failed. With some luck, there could be a charitable restart! Anyone? Yes I promised to do this for him, why do you ask? Featured replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-104768https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7doublescustomgame-105966 Spoiler Haley - Total Battles: 140 Total Wins: 93 Total Losses: 47 Winrate: 66.4% Well Haley took a little hit since last time, mostly due to some pretty poor matchups. But she’s not letting it get to her too much. Not much to say here, aside from slow days, since she’s a pretty reserved person. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105130https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-104355 Spoiler Olivia - Total Battles: 134 Total Wins: 94 Total losses: 40 Winrate: 70.1% The restart era is over, and thus Livi’s on a break now. Well, she did have a good time with the last batch of restarters, though they’re moving on now. Well, she does come around at times, and chats a bit with everyone. She’s also having some fun with X-League, namely with Rototiller, and sometimes an exploding Shiftry. Having fun is what’s more important, in the end! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen6triplescustomgame-105483https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105956 Spoiler Ariel - Total Battles: 71 Total Wins: 45 Total losses: 26 Winrate: 63.4% I… forgot about xyr for a minute. Yeah, Ariel hasn’t been getting many battles, and when xe does, xe usually leaves right away. Well, at least xe talks a bit when addressed, usually by Helen. Not much to say here, 2 months and not much changed. Well, maybe xe’ll go out with a bang. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105214 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105480 Spoiler Jasper Jessica - Total battles: 70 Total wins: 51 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 72.9% As mentioned before, I’ve been taking over for Jasper for a bit now, I guess he couldn’t wait for everyone else. Anyways, I’m battling with the same style as him, though with some more fun stuff (something something double dance Raichu :^)), and uhh… well that’s it. I talked a bit about this already, and there’s not much else to say. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105153 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-106306 Spoiler Ken - Total battles: 75 Total wins: 51 Total losses: 24 Winrate: 68% Ken’s making do with the few battles he has. Some are clearly harder for him than others, but he’s been doing alright, with at least one win per player recently. If there’s something to watch out for, it’s his Kommo-o: if you’re not careful, it might just take down your whole team. Either way, he usually sticks around for a while, talks a bit, has some friendly battles, all fun! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105150 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105559 Spoiler HELEN - Total battles: 58 Total wins: 36 Total losses: 22 Winrate: 62.1% If you know Helen, you know she wouldn’t stay still for two months. In fact, she recently became a professor’s assistant! She seems to be taking this quite seriously, lowering her voice when she’s on the job, but she’s still the Helen we all know and love! With a few more starters to brighten the mood, though. She’s been her usual self as a leader, taking souls with Butter Lord and all, but she’s also featured her casual team a few times! Mountain Man and Butter Lord are guests there, of course, but they’re joined by a Feraligatr, a Tsareena, a Crobat, and a Xurkitree! The last one’s allegedly her christmas tree too, and I… wouldn’t call it safe, to be honest. To sum it up, Helen has a more professional demeanor now usually, but she can still be the life of the party! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105631 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7customgame-106193 Spoiler Fabian - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 50 Total losses: 21 Winrate: 70.4% Ah, Fabian never ceases to amaze with his teams. Almost as good as mine! Anyways, he didn’t get many challenges lately, but he’s still having fun when possible. Unlike other leaders, not many X-League battles. I guess Water is scary with all those legends. I’m getting the feeling that’ll change soon though. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-103814 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7ubers-104826 Spoiler Jessica N0RM - Total Battles: 58 Total wins: 41 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 70.7% Yep, there it is. N0RM. My Porygon-Z, I asked Nick to mod him so he could sub for me as a leader, after Jasper left. Helpful friend, likes to use lots of fun stuff, like me! Though it likes to do the battle itself at times, and send my Porygon2 too. Not many opportunities for it to shine, hopefully that’ll change! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-105697 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105979 Spoiler Mira - Total Battles: 134 Total wins: 104 Total losses: 30 Winrate: 77.6% Mira’s finally not the leader with the highest amount of battles, and for that it took 3 promotions. She’s still going strong, though left in the dust by the likes of Duncan, Jayde, Venus and, of course, Oliver. This in regular league, because she’s been shining in X-League! Mostly with her classic Trick Room squads, but with a twist this time: Z-Destiny Bond! This functions like Follow me, but it’s still Destiny Bond, so beware when attacking! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105878 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen6triplescustomgame-106281 Spoiler Emilia - Total Battles: 50 Total wins: 31 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 62% Emi’s been flying under the radar for a bit, but she’s doing alright! Doesn’t stick around much, but when she comes on for a battle or two, she usually has a good time, and whips up a fun team. Could be triples, or alternatively, her rather unusual single builds. I don’t even know what was going on her head when she thought of that. Anyways, she’s doing alright! I still need that interview though. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105840 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-104133 Spoiler Lucifer - Total Battles: 65 Total wins: 50 Total losses: 15 Winrate: 76.9% It’s been a while for Luci, and he had… some entertainment. He got some new challengers, battled em for a while, got beat, moved on. But at least he sticks around and chats with everyone after his matches. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have many X-League challenges, but that could change soon. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105537 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-105232 Spoiler Erwin - Total Battles: 43 Total wins: 30 Total losses: 13 Winrate: 69.8% If there’s one thing you can’t say about Erwin, it’s that he doesn’t know how to have fun. He didn’t get much of a spotlight in regular league, but he did shine in X-League, mainly from pulling off a MissingNo sweep! About that, I… have many questions. How did he get it? How can he use it? Can it get KOd by mons half its level? The last one is probably a yes. Anyways, it was all in good fun, and it’s to be taken lightly! Anyways, he also showed off an extremely innovative triples core, starring Volbeat and Illumise, and it’s… impractical at best. But hey, it almost worked! Maybe it could use some MissingNo. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen6triplescustomgame-105704 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7customgame-105593 Spoiler Duncan - Total Battles: 60 Total wins: 48 Total losses: 12 Winrate: 80% Well, Duncan was dethroned, he had a great run as best leader. Well, he doesn’t get many battles nowadays, and when he did, they were from anyone who was stuck on him and could finally get past. But, we’ll see if someone else reaches him, and if they have the guts to go for his badge. But hey, at least he got X-League! About that, you better watch out for his pledges: he’ll use em to turn the arena into a swamp. Be careful, or he’s gonna roll you! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-103312 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-103667 Spoiler Leo - Total Battles: 32 Total wins: 19 Total losses: 13 Winrate: 59.4% These days haven’t been the kindest for Leo, but he’s still holding up decently, I think. Infernape’s a friend, temporarily locking his opponent’s lead with Encore whenever said lead is outsped (so about 80% of the time), and aside from that, he still tries many different things. And uhh, nothing else to say here, to be frank. He’s a busy man, after all. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105226 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105629 Spoiler Jayde - Total Battles: 38 Total wins: 28 Total losses: 10 Winrate: 73.7% We hardly see her these days. Well she only gets out of the house very occasionally, and she doesn’t have many challengers either right now. That’s Bracket 6 for ya. But she did rack up some wins when everyone was still struggling to get past her. Now she can rest, unless someone gets to her before the league ends. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-103807 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105453 Spoiler Venus - Total Battles: 41 Total wins: 33 Total losses: 8 Winrate: 80.5% Ah, Venus got back to her old form, after some time. She’s the wall again! Of course, she got a greatly increased winrate from her antics, and not undeserved. Aside from that, she’s still quite sociable in session, albeit being a little too much for some to handle. Just like in battle! But it’s all relaxed, and she doesn’t take it too far usually. Glad she can make time for us! Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105120 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106190 Spoiler Oliver - Total Battles: 34 Total wins: 28 Total losses: 6 Winrate: 82.4% The man, the myth, the used airplane salesman: Oliver! He’s still living up to his status as champion, holding back the few that get to him, even if only for a while. Unlike the others, he likes to switch formats from time to time, to shake things up a little! Quite refreshing, if you ask me. He has only one challenger in X-League so far, and he’s pulling the stunts we all know and love from him. He’s not the most talkative usually, but he’s been pretty calm and cordial this season. Featured replays:https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguedoubles-105946 https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguedoubles-104936 Ok, that concludes it for this issue. And I guess that concludes it for this season too, so the league as a whole. Yes, it’s ending no- oh, they ruined it already. Couldn’t wait a day smh. But today was indeed, cancelled. First fridays, and now this. We apologize for the inconvenience. We’re still having a league party though, tomorrow at the usual times. You might even get something worth your while. You won’t want to miss it! See ya tomorrow! Also, for everyone anyone who forgot, we’re still doing the game. Stay tuned~
RLDR Erwin
Redemption Weekly - The Finale! Well, uhhhh hey there everyone? It's really been a long time, hasn't it? Considering that nobody has heard heads or tails of Jessica since league ended, I've decided I'll take over for the final weekly and put things to rest for good. Considering that this was the final season of the Redemption League, it just didn't feel right to me to leave things unfinished. Let's beegin! I'm only 50% sorry. The Champions: Four new champions managed to get past Oliver in the final few weeks! Congratulations to Huend, Anstane, Hycrox, and Bazaro for managing to defeat Oliver and claim your spots as champions! With that, this season of the Redemption League had 10 champions, by far the largest amount of any season. In total, throughout all of its seasons, the Redemption League has had 14 champions all together, should you not count challengers who cleared the league in multiple seasons. To put it into numbers: Season 1: 2 champions. Season 2: 6 champions, 4 of whom also cleared the league in Season 3. Season 3: 10 champions. The Final Day: As per tradition, we gave all challengers three lives + all their retry tokens on the final day of league to let as many challengers as possible have a chance to clear league. This left our leaders in bracket 6 very busy this last day, with a few of our bracket 5 leaders seeing some more action as well. Our champion, Oliver, usually gave a mercy to challengers on their last life, such as removal of a Pokemon to give the challenger better odds on their final attempt. The End of the Redemption League: That's right guys and gals and everyone in between, the Redemption League is finished for good, there will be no Season 4. Three seasons was a long run, and it's time for our leaders to move onto other things. I hope everyone who took part has some good memories and just had a good time in general, really. I know I had a great time battling and getting to know you all, it was a wonderful experience for me! Now, onto covering our leaders one last time: Nick - Total Battles: 94 Total Wins: 46 Total Losses: 48 Winrate: 48 Nick got almost no action in these last few weeks, his only two battles being against a newcomer on the final day. Out of those two battles he won once, and lost once, leaving him still below that 50% victory rate he coveted so much. He took this last loss rather poorly, and has not been since. In these last two battles, he utilized Sticky Web singles, with apparently an explosion Togedemaru? Does it even get that? Featured replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107257 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107259 Haley - Total Battles: 142 Total Wins: 93 Total Losses: 49 Winrate: 65% Haley is in the same boat as our old friend Nick, minus the mental breakdown part. Being a bracket 1 leader, most challengers have been long past her, leaving her with only two battles this last month, both of which she lost. Also apparently there was some drama with Jasper, Edgar and Leo that's gotten the poor girl pretty shaken up. In her final two battles, she utilized her classic triples trick room ice over her tailwind triples, with a level 30 Jynx. Sticking with her tried and true Stall and Hail Trick Room styles, this rose proved that she still has her thorns. (That uhh reminds me, I forgot to water the roses in our garden yesterday, crap!) Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107282 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105974 Ariel - Total Battles: 75 Total Wins: 48 Total losses: 27 Winrate: 64% The princess xyrself didn't exactly see much action as well in the last few weeks. (Wow, this is like a trend or something) However that didn't prevent xyr from showing that xe does belong in bracket 2, outperforming all of the bracket 1 leaders. Taking a page right of Helen's book, xe primarily utilized a sticky web team with a rock polish weakness policy Pokemon, in this case being Ribombee and Diancie rather than Shuckle and Regirock. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107246 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107248 Jasper - Total battles: 80 Total wins: 61 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 76% For the record, for simplicity's sake I'm including Jessica's wins as his substitute in his own record. Jasper himself only participated in 3 standard league matches the last month. In these three matches, he used a mix of speedy attackers like Mega Gallade, Alakazam, Alolan Raichu, and Meloetta with more bulky Pokemon such as Slowking, Latias, and Metagross. Also, from what I've heard, he's been causing some serious drama at his work with Leo as well, and even Edgar is involved. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107171 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107160 Ken - Total battles: 84 Total wins: 60 Total losses: 24 Winrate: 71% My old pal Ken fared very well in the final few weeks, going 9-0 in standard league matches. Frequently using boosting sweepers such as moxie Salamence, or Mega Altaria, Ken left all of his challengers in a very hard spot. Shoutouts to Mega Rich, his level 300 Axew. How did he even get that? Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107290 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-107295 HELEN - Total battles: 62 Total wins: 40 Total losses: 22 Winrate: 64% Despite her change in demeanor, Helen proved to still be her same old self in battle. Sticking with her classic "Butter Lord" (her Shuckle) and his usual squad of friends, she kept the same Sticky Web + Rock Polish sweeper duo that she's been using all season, the usual suspects being her Regirock or Rhydon. Finally, I never would have expected Helen to want to be a Pokemon professor, though from what she's told me she's taken to it quite well. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107263 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107164 Fabian - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 50 Total losses: 21 Winrate: 70.4% Fabian actually had no battles outside of X-League in the final few weeks, poor guy. That didn't stop him from spending time at the league though, as it was a pretty regular sight to see him hanging around and chatting even with no challengers at all. Thinking about it, I've never actually asked what Fabian does outside of the league. Is he a waiter at a very, very fancy restaurant? A showman? That's a mystery I'll never find out, sadly. Featured Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen6triplescustomgame-107150 Jessica - Total Battles: 63 Total wins: 46 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 73% Jess pulled double duty for both Normal and Psychic for a good while, so while her battles covering for Jasper are not included in her record I'll be briefly going over them anyways. For normal, Jessica kept with her usual fun mix of Pokemon, using Pokemon like: Furret, Toucannon, Exploud, Ditto, and of course Mr. Wiggles (who even showed up on Psychic once or twice!), with some powerhouses like Mega Pidgeot, Miltank, and Porygon 2. She was not to be trifled with, always coming out on top. For Psychic, she was a bit more homogeneous with Jasper, though she used some infrequent picks such as Hoopa, Metang and of course, Mr. Wiggles. Since league has ended, nobody has heard a peep out of her though. Jess, I swear to god if you're just hiding until someone else does your job I'm gonna be mad, I'm this close to putting out a missing person's notice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpKeXx9II88 Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107309 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguedoubles-105898 Mira - Total Battles: 137 Total wins: 105 Total losses: 32 Winrate: 76% There's not much to say about Mira in the last weeks, she wasn't around all that often. Playing hide and seek with her Mimikyu maybe? However, she did bring a pretty fun singles team during her last few fights, containing the likes of Silvally, Shedinja and Dusknoir, even if it didn't work out in the end. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105878 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-106862 Emilia - Total Battles: 55 Total wins: 35 Total losses: 20 Winrate: 63% Emilia, in a total change of pace exclusively used singles in the last few weeks of league! Though... It did just so happen that she just had one opponent challenging her over and over again in that time period. In singles, as the Fire type does, Emilia focused on overwhelming power to bring herself victory. Outside of league, I heard she's become quite a popular fire dancer, so good for her! Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105840 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105885 Lucifer - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 54 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 76% Everyone's favorite edgy friendly guy (is that a contradiction?) didn't have much competition in the final few weeks, but he did pretty well for himself. Lucy took the chance to use some of his less used friends like Honchkrow, Scrafty and Mega Sharpedo during this time, and they put on quite the show, with the big boss crow managing to be the curtain call. Lucy tells me to tell you to "piss off" that he loves you all and misses you guys a lot and that he's glad to be done he actually really misses this. I'm totally not telling you this because he always beats me at bowling whenever we play. Feels kinda weird covering myself but here we go! I had some really fun fights with you guys and was happy to give my bug buddies one last go at you all. Aside from a few tricks like assault vest Vikavolt, I didn't really stray much from my usual outside of a few silly X-League fights. (I still have my Missingno hanging around ready to go at you guys again!) Don't fix what isn't broken, right? Uh, I guess I've gotten a bit better at fighting flying types since league ended but that's cause Oliver's birds keep trying to steal from Olivia and I's garden. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107148 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105869 Duncan - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 55 Total losses: 16 Winrate: 77% Duncan may have taken a bit of a hit in winrate, but he was still as rock solid as ever. Yeah I know he's not rock type I just wanted to make that pun. While some of the people he was giving one hell of a blue finally managed to get past him, Duncan was happy to see other succeed and get some really good fights out of it it. His old pal "Sluggah" (his Gastrodon) remained ever the thorn in the side of those who faced him, with the immortal slug living far longer than its stats would suggest. Not to mention his Gliscor, "Batshit Crazy" being a terrifying foe fitting of such a... Peculiar name. Rest well, Australian dingo warrior man, you've earned it. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106863 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106860 Leo - Total Battles: 40 Total wins: 24 Total losses: 16 Winrate: 60% Leo upped his game a tad during the final few weeks. Leo let his inner hatred of Togekiss really show, considering how he sometimes even packed two choice scarfed steel types for the thing, not that I blame him at all and refused to give the weird bird egg thingy a chance to flinch him to oblivion. Also, I'm kinda concerned about what he's been doing with Jasper and Edgar now, but Leo seems to be a good guy so everything should go ok... Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106200 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106972 Jayde - Total Battles: 52 Total wins: 37 Total losses: 15 Winrate: 71% As one of the last roadblocks to the championship, Jayde was practically magnetic to challengers. During this time, she more than proved her mettle, making singles and triples work quite well, with some surprises like weakness policy Aegislash. Right now, she's probably playing video games wayyyyyy too late into the night without a care in the world. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105960 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-107279 Venus - Total Battles: 77 Total wins: 65 Total losses: 12 Winrate: 84% If you thought Jayde was busy, just look at Venus over here. Delightfully devilish as always, Venus would lure in challengers to a drawn out, toxic demise with classics like Mega Venusaur, Weezing, Toxapex, and so many others, though that's not all she can do. Showing that she was not just a pretty face, she went nearly undefeated during this time, even though challengers were practically coming at her in droves. Overall, Venus proved herself to be arguably the toughest customer here, even being a match for our champion! Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-107247 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105872 Oliver - Total Battles: 50 Total wins: 40 Total losses: 10 Winrate: 80% The big man himself, it's Oliver! Oliver was a force to be reckoned with, not only for his skill in battle but for his tendency to shake things up on challengers. Oliver favored Singles and Doubles, and always had some sort of trick up his sleeve to give his opponents some serious hell. However, Oliver is a bit nicer this season both in and out of the league just please make your birds stop ruining our garden please man and during the final day of league would take mercy on his challengers if they were on their final lives, he'd remove a Pokemon from his team and face them 5v6. That takes real confidence. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107287 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107297 Wew, that was a lot to say, wasn't it? Well that concludes the Redemption League for good, I hope you all had a great time participating, I know I sure had a great time getting to know you all! While this is the end of the league for good that doesn't exactly mean this is the last you'll see of me! Till we meet again!
