Autumneverlast
Doing a fresh playthrough of Reborn and got a tentacool out of my mystery egg. Went "Yay" because bulky water type, but have gotten steadily less excited as I've done more research. What do you guys think of it as a pokemon and potential team member for Reborn? Zqrfmb
It's been solid for seven generations as a fast yet bulky water type. It can set toxic spikes and use sludge wave for terrain-fu. Plus it has an okay special attack.
dotahkin01
Depends on how long you want to use it. up till the fighting gym / Call i think he'd be realy viable. Supersonic, poison toxic spikes gives more utility than most other poison types and a poison + water-stab makes it usable untill you get at shade, then he's probably a burden unless you need a poison spike setup'er with supersonic and screech. Though he might do good against the mega tentathingy.... (?). his abilities arent realy noticable during this timeframe... perhaps "liquid ooze" could do good against the grass gym. Razkar
Well, i've got tentakruel in one off my playthrough in the mystery egg, and with no doubt, i 'd recomend you to use it ! As it has been said: fast, bulky, good types, good movepools - those toxic spikes with venonshock and brine are a gift for many fights (Noël and fern come to my mind right know but there are more). NickCrash
It's one of the better Mystery Egg pokemon. Great early Water type with bulk and a viable support movepool. Only fears Radomus, since Terra's pokemon are slower.
