Destiny Knot on E12

Hello there guys, I'm doing some TM + IVs breeding, but destiny knot seem to not be working. I'm breeding a pokemon with 6 IVs with another with 3, the offspring is having two at most. Does Destiny Knot works well on E12? One of them are using it.

It could be that you are extremely unlucky since with destiny knot you get 5 of the 12 stats from parents plus one random.It is possible that you get 2 perfect IV's, one random, and 3 stats from the parent that doesnt have perfect IV's.

Also what gen mechanics does Ep12 use? According to bulbapedia destiny knot started working like that from generation VI.

Im 80% sure that E12 was from Gen V, destiny knot didn't have that effect back then. However you could still have both the parents hold power items to guarantee two 6 IV stats.

Yep, Destiny Knot doesn't work properly on E12  (#EDIT: because it's a Gen V episode, just like Pohyzer said) so you'll have to choose between the flawless IVs or the TM moves. You could handle that problem breeding on HC Reborn and transfering them to your regular Reborn save file.

I was avoiding Hardcore Reborn, sounds like cheating, but that's what I will do. I'm breeding Budews, so one of the parents should hold a Rose incense. Get everything even harder haha. Thanks a lot guys!
