E17 Full List of Changed Pokemon Availability Locations [SPOILERS]

[BIGJRA]

Based on the list created by Endstrom and others in the Reborn City subforum, I have compiled a list of all of the Pokemon available through new methods in E17. There might be a few instances where, if a Pokemon is wild, I missed one or more of its locations, but at least one is there for everything. If it’s bolded, I either have not found it yet or the aces are having difficulty figuring out where it is/how it works for events. 

As for italics, I’m slowly collecting information about axed Pokemon, either from changing events or wild locations changing. These are, at the moment, NOT exhaustive so if you start a new file and find out anything that’s different about availability, please point it out here and I’ll edit it in.

Ok, so it's in that little cave that's now behind the final Crustle before Celestine Cascade on Route 2. To get to that spot you must first move a Crustle into the spot, which when it's there, is immovable without rage powder. So, to access the alcove itself, you need to cross Crustle, which is then in the way. To move it you need Rage Powder from a tree, but the single rocky path on the way there has one rock that will spill the powder. So, you need to get powder some other way to the spot as there are no trees west of the unstable rock. To solve this I grabbed powder then used FLY to get to Celestine Cascade to get to the spot, which worked as there are no little rocks in the way. I also tried using SURF to go through the mountains to see if that would work, but the Ametrine access road from the north bit of Route 2 also has an unavoidable shaky rock, so I think it's barred to post-15 content when you can fly. If TELEPORT were attempted as an early alternative, one of two things would happen - 1) it simply doesn't work or 2) you'd be successful, but removing the Crustle would strand you in the tiny bit of land by Celestine Cascade, saving would brick your file since your heal point would have to be there. Neat thinking exercise.

 

EDIT: Paperblade points out that you could teleport IN just fine as long as you could surf OUT, meaning it's available after Samson.

Espurr is still available from the Peridot Ward event, it's just a mix event, 50/50 chance of it or Cincinno.

The Panpour/Wingull mix event has been replaced with one for Joltik/Grubbin

 

Torkoal is now only available in Chrysolia Spring (needs Surf to get to the floors that has it) and the Scrapyard, meaning it's only obtainable after Ciel.

Wingull is also not obtainable in the wild until you get back to the Renovated city. Dunno if there's an event for it.

Boldore is also only obtainable in Route 2 at the earliest, which I think is a change? I'm pretty sure it was in Tanzan Mountain and/or Depths before.

 

Rockruff is also a mystery egg option. Vullaby is still a mystery egg option, it being listed as obtainable through breeding/evolution on the obtainable list is a bit confusing but I think it's because that's technically a higher tier of availability than limited event. Rhyhorn, Tentacool, Frillish are the 3 removed in exchange for Rockruff, Mareanie, and Gastly.

 

Also, I can confirm that Teleporting back to Fiore Mansion did not lose my powder, although this is on a file that already has Fly so I dunno if there's a switch for this. And while you can't run back through Ametrine cave because of the shaky rock to unlock Crustle, it does mean that if you have Surf and did the puzzles up there, you wouldn't be stuck without Fly. This means you can probably get Salandit after Samson without bricking your file.

Carbink is now available trading the guy next to the move deleter a sunkern, not sure if Mime Jr is still available also but Carbink is definitely an option if not the only thing you can get from that event now.

In the event in Onyx Ward where you talk to the girl after completing the day care quest, the egg now seems to have a chance of Giving you Seel, Spheal or Clauncher, those are the only 3 I have confirmed but there may be others.

You get a Chimchar egg if you choose to renovate Azurine Island. You need to trade a Delibird to the girl standing outside the building. You can also get Chikorita without having a Chimecho from a guy on top of the building if you didn't get it before. Heracross and Pinsir both become available as wild pokemons on the island. All of this may have been introduced in ep16, but none of these pokemons are on the pinned guide.

Contrary Serperior is arguably pretty good (leafstorm and high speed), so it makes sense to some degree. Raising a Overgrow Snivy as you play however is pretty difficult.

Anybody else having problems with getting Salandit? For me it just that last sleeping Crustle in front of this cave, I cant ineract with it while having rage powder. I also checked while I fly with rage powder to mansion i lose it (while stepping on shaky stone there isnt notification that I lost it) but if I surf with it through Ametrine Cave it still there (notification while stepping on shaky stone shows up - checked on the last shaky stone on the path). Also both powders works fine on onther Crustles. Anybody can relate/help?

Panpour was moved to another event: Instead of encountering Pansear below the Opal Ward bridge during rainy weather, you may encounter Panpour. As opposed to Pansear, it needs to be caught in addition to finding it.

 

EDIT: Also, Frillish was added to the egg mix in...that school ward. The egg you get after rescuing the Daycare Couple.

Salandit problem: flying got axed, it makes you lose your rage powder in public release. Teleport does still work though! Shiney female Salandit had a 0,0167% chance of showing op. I just got it after hours of grinding

 

BTW. You're missing Staryu in your list who is now found by fishing with super rod in Peridot ward after the water is clean

 

and A-graveler is also obtainable where you get A-geodude, nut just through evolution
