If you'd done the memory link thing and run into that breeder at the very first pokemon center, you coulda been catching N's joltik. He might have had something else in there too, but Galvantula would be boss if his joltik had compound eyes instead of unnerve. >>

First of all, I care nothing for pokemon I can't name. That, and I plan on playing for the story itself right now. I plan to do memory link at some point that wont be in this playthrough.

ANYWAYS! I think I'm gonna be updating this once every two days, so keep yer eyes peeled then!

Leaving the gym, I decide I'm gonna make sure that professor doesn't make anyone wait any longer. After parading through a horde of angry trainers in the next route, I make it to the Celestial Tower once again. I speak to Juniper on the bottom floor and then she heads back. However, I plan to train on the idiots who battle in here (and thankfully, bw2 made it take less longer than the original), and walk out with a ton of experience. Wanna know why? Because, young pallywon, said professor gave me the Lucky Egg... about time.

Anyway, I take the quite route back to Mistralton by Ameflying, and then everyone's here to talk about Team Plasma and their new dragon wannabe. Since I'm an awesome trainer, I'm supposed to go to Opeculid City... and then we fly... on an airplane. To a new town not in the original game. WHY CAN'T WE GO TO OPECULID THE NORMAL WAY? Is it because you don't want us seeing Icirrus City because Brycen isn't there? Is that why Marshall the E4 guy and workers are blocking Twist Mountain entrances? Is that whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

This is Lentimas Town, and Bianca wants to go to the nearby mountain (which has Mr. Gendlermen Heatran in it... being a spy because Magma Stone isn't there), called Reversal Mountain. Apparently the seasons affect Lentimas quite heavily, and which game you're playing will alter what Reversal Mountain looks like! In White 2, it's full of laaaaaaaaaaaava 8D. But of course, after some Audino training Bianca pops up and wants to explore with me. After inspecting what is definetely not where Heatran will be in the future, and going through about 75% of the mountain, picking up random gems and going through rather easy battles, she finally leaves me alone and I exit to... wait...

UNDELLA TOWN? HUH? THIS VOLCANO IS RIGHT NEXT TO UNDELLA!?

Yeahokwhycouldn'tweseethatinthelastgame.

Anyway, after finding out that Undella is now a useless town except for the fact that that one rich guy is still wanting to buy those relics, I TRY to exit to the route about to head to Opeculid City... but nope. Rival appears.

At least he actually isn't TOO easy... only RATHER easy, unlike Bianca and Cheren in black and white... pah. Calvin starts out strong, and then gets Samurott'd, but Edge and SS (ok that name is getting boring) take care of him and the silly monkey... that was actually kind of a short battle. When it comes to tactics, I don't need much because pokemon is pretty much doing what's super effective. It's like the weapon triangle in Fire EM- ok, I'll shaddap.

Nah but really I DO stat boost aswell so don't be mad.

Anyway, next time we're gonna explore routes that were previously high level stuff. See ya next time!

Current Stats:

My pokemon are all lv42, except for Voxie, who's level 41 because she's ridiculously stronk.

AND GUYS, PLEASE LEARN NEW MOVES! I WANNA HAVE MORE TO SAY ON CURRENT STATS NOW!

After wandering around that eletrict cave BS, I found a lot of N's pokemon: his ferrothorn, his klink, his boldore, his joltik. Asshat was throwing away friends left and right back in B/W. Got to Skyla's town/gym with pokemon between 33 and 36.

If you're working on EV's, then you ought to look into improving join avenue. a lot fo the different shops work on adjusting EV's. most start off with basic friendliness-inducing services, but then you reccommend thema bit to the right customers and then they really start working to raise EVs for stats, or even raise a pokemon's level. The massage place likes to lower speed ev's which is pretty good for my torkoal, so yeah.

Good to hear the lucky egg appears before it becomes obsolete. >>

When I play something that's part of the main game franchise, I don't focus on anything too in-depth mechanically. I play the games for the adventure, and it's always been life that.

Anything like EVs only become important to me on PO.

that and sunflora is so OP it doesn't need EVs

I DO have an update... but it's gonna be hard to word out.

Basically, this entire part was slaying hundreds upon thousands of pokemon trainers throughout the next 3 routes and the village bridge (and it was boring as hell... maybe even more so than Chargestone Cave)... but there were some interesting things during this.

First route was above Undella, and I just cruised through ace trainers, black belts and the like. Got TM29, Psychic, which is some swag (Horizon stahp), and then at the end of this route, there was Cobalion! Yeah, in this game, the horses' old spots are now destroyed or locked out, and now they're just cruisin on the roads. However, I'm not going to catch them until post game, because then they're higher level, which is better for me... even if it's really tempting for me to get Cobalion right now. The thing is badass.

So I get to Lacunosa Town, and I'm told about Kyurem in the Giant Chasm and how he used to love eating people... but the place is now closed off, and I'll have to ask Drayden to know anything more. Oh and by the way, this is a giant plothole if you've captured Kyurem in the previous game. We'll just have to assume that these "2 years later" is in a parallel universe. That, or we can ask Stein's Gate about it.

ANYWAYS, bad times cuz Team Plasma shows up... and oh god it's Zinzolin... who has Ice types... despite the fact that he hated the cold in the previous game... ok, this is DEFINETELY a parallel universe. Anyway, my rival tags up with me and Voxie's ready to kick ass.

Get.

The.

Fuck.

Out.

Voxie just 1hkoes them all with Rock Slide. Pathetic > :D

ANYWAYS, next route is also mindless bashing of several trainers... more black belts, and random duos. Oh, and some nifty random items too, although I thought they were Foonguses at first...

Then I get a rest stop at the Village Bridge. I beat the streak of some random gentleman and proceed to crush every other trainer in this area, and then move on to the final route, which is basically a passway where you fight 2 trainers, because you now need Waterfall to pass down to the lower half of this route... oh, and where did the Poketransfer lab go? Virizion also pops up, but I ignore it for now.

FINALLY arriving at Opeculid City (although it looks far more cooler in Black 2 >_>), Iris talks about Drayden and also advises me to go to route 9. So I do that, and by the way, the Tubeline Bridge is also closed, so Icirrus City is now isolated. Yippee.

I'm gonna clear route 9, do a decent amount of Audino Training (Lucky Egg ftw) and then beat up Drayden next episode.

Current Stats:

SS learnt Flamethrower, and everyone is now lv41-45. Too diverse, I know. I'll be fixing it all up for Drayden. And somebody tell me where I can get a damn Electrizer for Edge.

Anyway, since this was a rather short update, I'm gonna share a brief opinion of this game so far. The story is the best I've seen in any pokemon game, and I'm even tempted to say it outclasses XD in that regard, although it still has it's rather simple explanations for plotholes because y'know, the audience for this game is kids. The addition of moving in pokemon is also awesome, along with the expanded Unova Region and better gyms (though gym leaders are debatable...). However, I feel it has too many segments where you face tons of trainers with little to no storyline input. It breaks up too much of the flow, and BW2 does this more than the other games. Needless to say, it's been great so far.

Yeah, sometimes I question how Pokemon is a game for kids. I mean, have you guys seen the girl at the Ferris Wheel? I'd say more things like what happens later, but it would cause spoilers.

That and some girl keeps calling me through her lost Xtransceiver even though I can't see her and have no idea who she is.

By the way I suck at updating, if you didn't notice. Updates will probably be completely random, because I am incompetent of making schedules.

Oh, you found it already? Ahh. I still got to find it. I may not worry about that for now till I do more things with the Join Avenue. I've been updating my story, too, as well as making a theory about N. Whoever wants to know, PM me.

I have some stuff to say.

You'll get Electrizer when you reach undella town, but you'll need Cut

Do you still want my Shiny Duosion at level 41? I can't find anyone who does. Only asking for Electabuzz's Pokedex entry c:

When was the last time I updated this?

So, about halfway through the Audino training, I was like... screw this. This takes too long, and there's Emolgas everywhere.

So I go right up to Drayden.

The trainers in the gym are higher leveled than I thought, but they're pansies anyway. I will say though, that there was one trainer who nearly destroyed SS with a Swagger + Protect combo. Holy shit, that is an awesome combo. I think I might actually start using it!

Also, I feel sorry for the poor dragon I'm riding. Everytime I face a trainer, a hand from the other dragon SMASHES IT'S FACE IN. Sheesh!

Then I get to Drayden, and he's all "come at me bro". So I send out Voxie, and start Iron Defensing up. But guess what? His Druddigon has Dragon Tail, so I ended up having to dispatch of him with ye olde fashioned way of "Beating the shit out of it". His Fraxure was a pansy, Edge Ice Punch'd it and that was the end of it.

Now, HAXORUS. I send SS out on him, and he starts of with a Dragon Dance, and I'm like "OH DAMN!". So I end up having to spam Flamethrower in the hopes I landed a burn.

And as he got his 3rd DD up, I GOT THE BURN! He tried to DD once more to make up for it, but by then I had already fainted him, and Drayden is "aw dag nabbit these young'uns 'ere are tirin' me".

So I walk out, and he takes me to his empty house (except for this one Axe standing on the right). and briefs me on the battle of the dragons, with Zekrom seeking his ideals while Reshiram is seeking the truth. And that is an AWESOME plot development. Seriously, has pokemon ever been this deep? Anyway, he then goes on about DNA splicers, which are apparently VERY plot relavant, since they relate to sir Dragonspiral Tower.

So then we hear a BOOM! and I'm like wut. So me and Drayden rush out side (but the Axew just doesn't give a fuck), and whaddya know, Team Plasma bought their ship, and it has an ICE CANNON. I swear, there's gotta be someone other than Zinzolin leading Team Plasma right now. How the hell did they get stuff like THAT? So then Drayden and I proceed to beat up all the Plasma goons. And Zinzolin, using only Ice types doesn't help you much against a giant rock an a flaming pig... yeah. But guess what? The only competent members of team plasma, the Shadow Triad, grab the DNA splicers and run off. I fight one to try and get them back (and then I find out that they are incapable of battling), but he was just stallin time.

So apparently Humilau City is really cold right now, and I gotta go there and meet up with Cheren and Beef Jerky- I mean, Janny. I know I could've flied to Undella Town, but I felt like riding there on my bicycle there. By the way, there's some ice puzzles standing in the route right next to Opeculid, but Virizion is still standing there, just not giving a fuck. Anyway, apparently a Marine Tube at Undella is now open, and I can shortcut over to Humilau... which seems more hot than cold right now... SEEMS LEGIT! Anyway, after grabbing some stuff leftover on the ground (hobo), I see Marlon jumping around like a Dolphin, and then lets me head to the gym.

Pah, the trainers were nothing special. One tried to troll me with Wish Amolomola, but a Growth'd Petal Dance from Pimpin' put it in place. Anyway, Marlon's right at the end, and he starts off with a Carracosta... a Carracosta using the imfamously popular Shell Smash Sturdy set! Unfortunately, and ironically, it falls to Edge because of the strategy's flaw... the fact that Carracosta isn't very fast.

*Please wait 5 seconds while a Sunflora Petal Dances a pathetic Wailord*

So then he sends out what might be his pride and joy, a Jellicent.

*Presses Petal Dance*

Sorry, come again? That was easy. Anyway, I'm now told to search for the Plasma Wimps at the next route... on the path to Victory Road! GROOVY!

I know there was a route that went back to Undella Town where I could've leveled more, but... I'm not bothered at this point. Besides, it could be decent for training once I raise pokemon post-game.

I beat one ace trainer, and then walk up... only to find that ROUTE 22 IS A PUZZLE.

Next time, folks.

Current Stats:

Everyone is between Levels 48 to 50, and STILL nothing new is learnt- wait, what was that? Calvin learned Close Combat?

... time for some ass kickin'.

  • 2 months later...

After progressing through some trainers at this maze route, Terrakion appears in the square at the middle; like the others, I won't be catching it. Colress then pops up and tells me he saw something interesting at a seaside cave nearby... I can tell there's going to be something blocking the road ahead due to plot devices, so I have no choice but to go down from Undella Town to the cave instead... where a bunch of swimmers are waiting to challenge me.

The seaside cave wasn't much different. There were the rangers who give you berries, as always, and also some black belts. One honourable mention goes to a black belt at the other end of the cave, who has a team full of Roggenrola. He was amusing, to say the least.

Anyway, as I move on, I find a Crustle blocking an exit... Colress seems to like them, considering THEY'RE ALWAYS NEAR HIM!! :<

Thankfully, Voxie makes quick work of it.

Anyway, we move outside and then... strangely, we find the Plasma Frigate. Then Janny shows up... he's obviously been stalking me the whole time. And then Marlin- I mean, MERLON, kindly sets down the plank up to the ship for us! And then he leaves just all casually. Neat!

So we move on board and fight some obnoxious grunts (one of which called Merlon- Marlon, WHATEVER HE IS the "Smiley Swimmer". I lol'd), and then it turns out we need a password to enter the central area. So we explore the lower deck, meeting a friendly ex-plasma spy along the way, and after gathering some OBVIOUS clues which they could've chosen not to say, and getting a key card from a random grunt, I enter the password and unlock the barrier. Also, along the way, I picked up an Electrizer, so Edge will be evolving after this crisis!

Zinzolin is in the next room, and then he shows us the source of power on the attack of Opeculid City: KYUREM. He was the fueler of the ice cannon!

Now, I just want to say this.

I know there's probably someone who's leading Team Plasma other than Zinzolin in order to capture Kyruem, but how THE HELL DID HE FIT A GIANT LEGENDARY DRAGON INTO THAT TINY GLASS CAGE, WHICH APPARENTLY KYUREM CAN'T EVEN BREAK OUT OF?! Oh wait. Pokemon logic.

So then Zinzolin challenges me once again, and I team up with Janny (who has gotten surprisingly strong since his Samurott is just 1hkoing
EVERYTHING) against him and a grunt. He's still as stupid as ever, and we thrash them easily... but of course, the just make the Shadow Triad knock us unconscious again, for the sake of the plot. When we wake up, the frigate is already setting off... to Giant Chasm, Kyurem's homeplace in the first Black and White. So after Cheren does some moaning, I set off to Giant Chasm, which was where I was headed before COLRESS TOLD ME TO GO TO A CAVE FOR PLOT'S SAKE :<

So I walk in, and we bump into the spy again, before heading a bit further into the chasm (oh and having Strength on Calvin got me a lot of items). I acquire Ice Beam along the way, which I teach to Amethyst. Handy!

As I walk further in, I see a bunch of ex-plasma members fight the team plasma idiots, and after a quick battle allied with the overpowered Samurott, the ex-plasma leader gives me some max revives. Cheers! inb4 i never use them

I finally walk through some ice puzzles and up into the plasma frigate once again. This time, the front part is empty, but the back door is open. After a failed plasma ambush gets owned by me and my awesome teammates, Emboar learns Head Smash! AWESOME! Now give me a good fighting move.

So now the spy (we meet again!) tells me that this is a puzzle maze (with a doctor who heals my pokemon...), and that I gotta hit all the switches by using warp panels to open the gate. It doesn't take to long to pull off, and then I go through the gate. Zinzolin confronts me... and Calvin does a Swords Dance and sweeps him entirely. I love this Zangoose.

So then he just stands there and I just look at the diddly Kyurem Cage. SERIOUSLY, HOW DOES IT FIT IN THERE?! So I just go to a warp portal that's on the left... and of course. I should've seen it coming. Colress explains that he's with Team Plasma to experiment the interpretation of trainers and their pokemon, and then challenges me to a battle.

I don't remember all the details, but I will say this; Colress has got his shit down. He's an interesting character with nice design, cool motives and a sense of not giving a fuck about what's going on. His team, despite being mostly steel, has got some great strategies in it, including Thunder Wave and boosting moves! And to top it all off, his battle theme is awesome:

Just epic.

Calvin was DOMINANT in this fight. It just SWEPT through so much with Swords Dance and close combat, although thunder wave caught it down. I beat him with only a bit of effort, though.

So he goes on a bit more, and his chatter just goes to show how carefree he is, with the exception of his research. He's more of a freelance scientist than a leader of team plasma. He's too cool for that position anyway.

Just one problem with Colress... his name sounds like a fish shot

Anyway, after beating him and returning to the cage room, I notice another room on the left... guard by a grunt with no pokemon. Good job with that.

I walk in, and I find Ghetsis... knew someone like him would return, considering stupid Zinzolin and the nature of Colress. He seems like an oldie now, considering his cane and more pompous speeches, as usual. He invites me to take a frontseat to Kyurem's Freezing of Unova, and then leaves the Shadow Trio to deal with me... who also happen to have Janny's Purrloin with them!

In these fights, you learn quite a bit about the Shadow Trio. The blobs of info you get consist of Ghetsis saving them in the past, and stating how they do not care about pokemon due to their devotion to Ghetsis... which I really want to question. They aren't all that hard though.

After the battle, the trio gives the Purrloin (now a Liepard) back to Janny, and then leave, saying that it doesn't matter because Unova will freeze soon.

Since there's an exit downwards, I assume that's where I have to go. Sure enough, after another Ice puzzle, I make it to the cave where Kyurem was in the first game of generation 5... but then there's a bigger, more open cave behind it this time. Walking in, I save, because this cave seems a lot more atmospheric and deadly. Sure enough, Ghetsis and Kyurem are there.

Ghetsis quickly comments on the gaze in my eyes, remind him of a bad memory (which is most likely a reference to the first Black and White games), and then commands Kyurem to Glaciate me to death. It looks a whole lot cooler outside of battle despite the fact that it's true power is actually quite there. Being the dumbass trainer that I am, I just stand there, of
course... but then...

N SHOWS UP! With Reshiram, because this is White 2. He melts the Glaciate and just pops up, saying that Reshiram sensed Kyurem in pain.

Now I just have to point out right now, this seems really dark for a child's game. You're delving into emotions and morals here.

Anyway, Ghetsis says he was then WAITING for Reshiram to pop, saying he purposely made N notice Kyurem by making it attack Opeculid... and then he pulls out the DNA splicers.

Then it all falls into place, and I know why there's a Kyurem-White and Kyurem-Black now.

The DNA splicer makes a creepy-ass animation, then proceeds to extract a bit of Reshiram's data and transfers it into Kyurem, which turns it into
Kyurem White!

Then Kyurem White fires missles at Reshiram... which wrap around it and turns Reshiram back into the White Stone from the first game?! Wait, what?!

Then Kyurem-W absorbs the white stone and takes in all of Reshiram's power...

white-kyurem.jpg

I've got to say, I love how it looks. Kyurem-Black, to a degree too. It looks threatening in that animation.

DNA splicers are SCARY! Rather than keeping them in a storage, Drayden, wouldn't it be better to just destroy them? Sheesh!

WAIT, NOW I HAVE TO FIGHT IT?! FUCK!

An awesome orchestrated piece plays as I fight Kyurem-W, which is lv55.

I have Calvin to begin with in this battle. I use Swords Dance, but Kyurem uses Ice Burn... which will hit the next turn. FUCK!

And it KOs Calvin in one hit. Shit. Next, I send out Voxie, because I know she can WRECK Kyurem-W. Ice Burn starts again, and I use stone edge... which takes it down to about 5 hp or something. Ice Burn activates, and then Voxie faints... sheesh!

Then I send out Pimpin to finish the job with a petal dance.

...the fight was a BIT anticlimactic, but damn, that was still rather tough. Pimpin got a level up, and rightfully so too. Oh, and Ghetsis prevents you from using poke balls on it, so don't look at me with those eyes.

The two legendary dragons then seperate... and then Ghetsis challenges me, and with a faster theme than his Black/White one. It's rather nice.

Ghetsis starts off with cofagrigus, and thankfully all my pokemon are fully healed. Since Cofagrigus is a protect staller, I set up Swords Dance with Calvin, hoping for the best, since Shadow Ball can't hurt me... but psychic takes a fair chunk out, and then he toxics me too. But, I manage to get to +6 attack! NICE! I then X-Scissor Cofagrigus... but that was nowhere near a KO.

Well, this'll be hard, considering Cofagrigus has LEFTOVERS! But thankfully, a crit comes to my aid, and Cofagrigus faints, and Calvin levels up.... again. Next up is Seismitoad. I let out a strength on him, and unsurprisingly 1hko him. It IS a +6 STAB Strength from Zangoose, after all. Now it's Toxicroak, and I know poison will kill me. So I fit in one last Strength, and KO Toxicroak. Calvin is now 2-3 levels higher than everyone else. Sheesh!

Holy crap, Calvin. You're on 9 hp, and now Drapion is coming. DO EET CALVIN DO EET.

And surely enough, Calvin takes out Drapion with another strength.

Calvin, I salute you. You just took out 2 thirds of Ghetsis by yourself, with no healing items.

Now it's Eelektross, and I send out my Emboar (SS is a boring name. Emboar itself is epic) to combat it.

A flamethrower takes out most of his health, but this is a physical Eelektross with acrobatics! Fortunately, Emboar survives, and then pounds it with another flamethrower.

Final pokemon. I remember dreading Ghetsis's Hydreigon in the first game, and now he's sending it out again. It looks as threatening as ever, and is at lv52. Unfortunately, emboar gets taken out by it.

So I send out Amethyst to finish the job with Ice Beam. Unfortunately, it only takes half out of Hydreigon, and poor Ame faints :<

Turns out that Hydreigon is using a Life Orb. Damn, this shit just got strategic!

I send out Edge to finish it off with an Ice Punch, but before hand Hydreigon nearly kills him with a dragon rush! He lives on the skin of his teeth though, and Ice punch connects and finally the deed is done! Ghetsis, you got mainly owned by a friggin Zangoose. Get dunked.

You just failed world domination again. Lolnub.

He once again refers to our trainer in the first Black and White, and then N says that Ghetsis is his FATHER! Since Ghetsis has gotten really angry, the shadow trio takes him away... but leaves his cane there. Kyurem has lost his power but is safe again, and of course, everyone is happy. N then tells me to head off to the pokemon league, and leaves me in the cave... and then Janny hops in after all that intensive shit. Jeez, I need a break. Rood, the ex-plasma guy tells me on the way out that Colress kindly disbanded team plasma for me. Cheers! They're a bunch of nubs anyway. I also find the TM psyshock! Too bad I don't have anyone who CAN LEARN IT >:C. Also, a Razor Claw. Neat, I guess.

So after all this, I go back to Humilau and heal. Next time, I'll be going to the pokemon league through Giant Chasm!

..oh, and then I evolved Edge.

Current Stats:

Screw Shiz (Emboar) Lv52

Moves: Arm Thrust, Head Smash, Flamethrower, Heat Crash

Emboar contributed a nice amount during this big event. Head Smash is a godsend for me, but CAN WE HAVE A BETTER FIGHTING TYPE MOVE ALREADY?! >:C

Amethyst (Swanna) Lv51

Moves: Ice Beam, Fly, Air Slash, Surf

Because I couldn't lose Fly, I had to replace Roost with Ice Beam because I want Air Slash to be there for Ame's special attack stat. Didn't do all that much during this event.

Voxie (Gigalith) Lv51

Moves: Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Iron Defense, Stealth Rock

Literally nothing has changed about Voxie during this event. However, Zinzolin and the grunts were crying by the time she was done with them.

Pimpin' (Sunflora) Lv51

Moves: Giga Drain, Growth, Leech Seed, Petal Dance

Probably the smallest contributor in the fight, due to the poison and steel types, but Pimpin still danced his way through some scrubs!

Edge (Electivire) Lv53

Moves: Screech, Electro Ball, Thunderbolt, Ice Punch

Edge contributed decently during the whole fight, but I'm just happy because HE'S FINALLY AN ELECTIVIRE!

Calvin (Zangoose) Lv54

Moves: Swords Dance, Strength, Close Combat, X-Scissor

Jesus christ, Calvin, you're broken as all hell. If Ghetsis, Colress and Zinzolin, weren't enough for you to DECIMATE, then you'll love the pokemon league.

Short update today, I'm afraid, due to the Audinos.

So the route on the left of the Giant Chasm is nothing too notable. The trainers are quite a bit stronger (and it makes you lol at Ghetsis), and there are some nice new items, but that's about it. It's essentially a waterfall pass (with branching paths EVERYWHERE).

At the badge check gates, however, I run into N, who goes on a bit about his own journey, and then gives me waterfall, which is needed to cross the new Victory Road.

The new badge check gates are really highly technological looking, but it goes by quickly and it doesn't leave a lasting impression. I liked the badge check gates in Black and White, and also FireRed and LeafGreen, because they gave you a bit of scenery for each badge you got, and it was cool. I feel that these gates, however, weren't all that notable. Minor nitpick, really.

So there's a couple more items and a pokemon center. I heal there, and... nobody on my team can learn Waterfall.

So I caught a Golduck to learn it, and he's gonna have to replace one of my members throughout victory road.

I do a bunch of Audino training and raise my goons (and Sunflora) up to lv55, except for Calvin, who I raised to lv57, because I'm gonna be using his slot for the Waterfall Duck, since Calvin has been pretty much heavily involved in every major battle so far.

The Audino training got a bit annoying in the past, so I didn't train my pokemon as much during this session. It still ate up a bit of my time though, so I'm afraid that's why this is short. I'll get the next part up soon, where there WILL be something notable.

Victory Road was tough; I'll admit, Lv55 was the maximum level of the pokemon of any normal trainer in there, but it was still tough (that and they landed a ton of critical hits).

Ok, so I'm gonna describe Victory Road itself, since the trainers aren't all that much to talk about.

The first area seems to be bridges that made N's castle in the old games; which is very nice for a throwback to black and white again; after some research it turns out that this new victory road is built ON TOP of N's Castle (which explains why everything looks so godamn different from the old victory road)!

There are so many branching paths, and they all contain hidden items and trainers; thankfully, I managed to go through all of them, one of which included a path guarded by a Zoroark; I heard that area houses the Regi legendaries.

But the main things I want to describe is what happened at the end of victory road.

The last thing to block me is ol' Janny, the silly rival. He challenges me, with only 4 pokemon, which seems a bit weak, and thankfully I predicted he would send out Unfezant first, so I had Voxie in the lead.

However, he ends up U-Turning out, and facing Voxie with a Bouffalant, who then loses half of it's health to a nice stone edge.

"I saw that attack coming from miles away!"

Keep talking, Janny. Keep talking.

So he thinks one earthquake is enough to down Voxie; nope. Voxie finishes off the silly bull. Now he's gonna send out the big daddy, Samurott, and I use Pimpin' against it. He has X-SCISSOR of all things, but thankfully it doesn't KO Pimpin' (because y'know, he's a Sunflora!), and then a insanely strong petal dance finishes of Samurott.

Now it's back to Unfezant, and Voxie still has definetely enough to take a hit, so I send it out and press the Rock Slide like a maniac; and then he U-Turns again. Sheesh, this guy is paranoid!

Of course, Simisage is the result of the switch, so I can't really use Voxie for this one. I send out Emboar instead. He wastes the turn with a max potion, so I take the liberty of crushing that HP Bar again with a flamethrower. With your rival, it's really just a matter of typing.

So he finally sends out Unfezant again! Voxie can STILL take one more hit, so I send her out for the third time, and then Rock Slide will finish the Janny duel...

But he lands a crit... and leaves Voxie on 10 hp! I use a healing item, gritting Rock Slide's miss, and then I do it again. Thankfully the pigeon stays put.

And then he gives us thunderbolt! Would've been handy if I could actually teach it to another member.

Exiting victory road, the entrance to the entrance (y'know, THAT entrance) is exactly the same as the one in Black and White, except there was some landslide and now you can't slide down the cliffs... :<

With that, I make it to the Pokemon League, which also hasn't changed on the outside!

That's it for today's semifinal episode! The final episode will be out... sometime soon, where we face the elite 4! ...and the champion.

Curent Stats:

Just a quick note, I made use of the TMs I had gained, so movesets may be... unfamiliar.

Piganova (Emboar) Lv58

Moves: Arm Thrust, Head Smash, Flamethrower, Scald

The nickname "Screw Shiz" was really starting to annoy me. It just felt stupid. "Piganova" gives Emboar some class.

That aside, Scald over Heat Crash was nice! It helped against the physical attackers who love ground moves... all the Golurks...

Amethyst (Swanna) Lv58

Moves: Ice Beam, Fly, Hurricane, Surf

Heh, I wasn't actually aware that Swanna could learn Hurricane! It's definetely far stronger than Air Slash.

Regardless, Ame seemed to be in good condition in this run... almost everyone had a faint or injury, but Ame didn't suffer much.

Voxie (Gigalith) Lv57

Moves: Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Iron Defense, Explosion

"Voxie wants to learn Explosion."

HELL. YES. DEFINETELY! Well, regardless, Voxie's proven to still be a great physical presence, and I only plan to use Explosion in desperate situations.

Pimpin' (Sunflora) Lv58

Moves: Giga Drain, Growth, Leech Seed, Petal Dance

Talking seriously here, Pimpin's most likely ran out of moves to learn at this point; growth doesn't feel all that strong, but it does give me an extra little boost, and Petal Dance is seriously FAR too strong. The low speed and defense of pimpin might get to me, but thankfully it has a nice special defense stat, so Sunflora still serves me very well.

Edge (Electivire) Lv58

Moves: Flamethrower, Psychic, Wild Charge, Ice Punch

Edge now has some pretty insane coverage. Psychic and Flamethrower were in my TM case along with Scald for Piganova, so I couldn't pass those two by, and then further through victory road I got Wild Charge, which replaced Thunderbolt. Since Edge has about 20 more attack than special attack, that and Ice Punch will definetely hit hard.

Calvin (Zangoose) Lv57

Moves: Swords Dance, Strength, Close Combat, X-Scissor

Poor, poor Calvin. Didn't get to do anything during this episode because of one path in victory road that required waterfall, and another with flash. Thankfully, Golduck the HM Duck worked fine.

And now for the finale!

With appropriate music, of course:

Now, we enter... THE POKEMON LEAGUE!

mqdefault.jpg

I'll be doing this in clockwork order, so Shauntal, the ghost type user, is first. The presentation of the E4 rooms is different, but since I can move freely between them, it's cooler that way.

Shauntal loves books... so much that she lets ghost flames cuddle them! And she also has some crazy lantern aswell.

As I walk up to her, the books suddenly fall and block my escape... and the lantern is now disturbingly still. As I walk up to her, she says:

"There is but one man who wanders the world with a white dragon Pokemon to search for the truth...

That's part of a novel I'm writing. I want to write down the event that happened on that day... sorry, it has nothing to do with you... you're a challenger, right? I'm the Elite Four's Ghost-type Pokemon user, Shauntal, and I shall be your opponent."

And so it begins!

I start out with Amethyst, and she sends out a lv56 Cofagrigus... not this thing again. I land a strong Hurricane on the coffin, and it takes half his health away! Nice! His Will-O-Wisp does nothing, as Ame's a special attacker, disregarding Fly.

I use Hurricane again, but it get's it first miss since I obtain it. Cofagrigus Shadow Balls me, and one more of those will finish Ame, so I hit Hurricane one more time, and it hits! Yay! That's the coffin down.

Next is Drifblim, and I decide to use Voxie for this one. Shadow Ball hits for nearly half of Voxie's health, but a nice stone edge completely obliterates her Drifblim. Go Voxie!

Golurk is up now, and I decide on the ever so Pimpin' Pimpin to Petal Dance it's way to glory. His Shadow Punch is hefty, considering Pimpin's lack of physical defense, but Petal Dance makes quick work of the golem.

Finally, there's Chandelure! For this, I send out the snazzy Piganova, and mash Head Smash... after Psychic leaves Piganova on 9 HP, causing both sides to faint... but on the plus side, we won! I was worried Scald wouldn't have finished the job.

Her finishing words are:

"My pokemon and the challenger's pokemon. Everyone battled even though they were hurt... thank you."

With that, I heal up, and move on to the next Elite 4 member, Grimsley. He has a friggin scary stairway, with all them claws blocking the way. As I approach him, the claws close behind me and the torches light up while Grimsley is just standing near his boring leather sofa. I guess you could say this is a "claws" for alarm!

Pun aside, I walk up to him and he says:

"What will be determined here is which of us can absorb the opponent's light and shine... but who will decide that? It shall be I, Grimsley of the Elite Four, and I will fulfill my duty to be your opponent."

And the next round starts! ...huh, he didn't speak much.

Ame's out front because for some reason I lack variety in my leading pokemon, so I just hit Surf, since his first pokemon, Liepard, isn't known for being sturdy. His fake out does little to me, and Surf hit for almost all of his health. His Night Slash gains a CRIT, and I'm left on 9 hp! Grimsley uses a full restore, but that doesn't stop me from double surfing his cat.

Next up is his... well, crafty Scrafty, and I decide that I should let Edge join in the party. I head straight for the Wild Charge, and it halvens the hp of Scrafty... who, weirdly enough, uses a Rock Tomb in reply. Even with that, Edge is still faster, and finishes off... pants man.

Krookodile is next, and I know that Piganova would not have fun there, so I send Calvin out, and use Swords Dance. due to the intimidate... but he's actually faster than me... and is a lucky fucker with that critting earthquake!

I have to use Ame now, so I use Surf, and fortunately I'm faster, so the crocodile goes bye-bye!

His last man is Bisharp, and I send out Piganova, who's Arm Thrust only takes half out of Bisharp due to two hits and the sitrus berry... and his Aerial Ace isn't nice. Fortunately, ol' Piggy (who needs to get a better fighting move) is faster, and finishes the job. Meh, flamethrower would've done better...

His last words are:

"Whether or not you get to fight at full strength, whether or not luck smiles on you--none of that matters. Only results matter. And a loss is a loss. See, victory shines like a bright light. And right now, you and your Pokemon are shining brilliantly."

Next up is Caitlin, and this time I use Calvin as the lead for a possible long sweep.

Caitlin's staircase is... made entirely out of something like... glitter. I reach the top, which is even more pwetty with glittwer :I ... and then a white flower in the middle disappears and reveals... Caitlyn... overconfidence alert. Also, floating orbiting cubes.

She says:

"It's me who appeared when the flower opened up. You, standing over there... you look like a Pokemon Trainer with strength and kindness. What I look for in my opponent is superb strength... I'm counting on you!"

And so it begins! ...again.

Remniscent of Black and White, she starts with Musharna, so I become a risk-taker and send out Calvin and use Swords Dance. Fortunately, Calvin is faster... but Musharna likes Yawning... so for payback, an X-Scissor... DOESN'T DO IT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME WHATKINDOFTANKISTHISMUSHARNA?!!!!

After healing Calvin's sleep, Caitlyn heals Musharna entirely with a full restore... I X-Scissor again, with the same result... and she yawns... again... so one more X-Scissor is that stupid Musharna's dying reward.

Caitlyn sends out Reuniclus, and I take the risk of healing Calvin's sleep again. Fortunately, Calvin avoids the Reuniclus's focus blast... close call! Unfortunately, Reuniclus is as tanky as her fetus sister... and focus blast hits... and Calvin dies... AGAIN! Why does the Elite 4 hate Calvin so much? :I

I send out Pimpin due to his good special defense, and Petal Dance finishes the annoying jelly off.

Now it's Sigilyph, and I have Voxie ready to combat it. Psychic doesn't take out even half of Voxie's health, which is good because Stone Edge MISSES... after another Psychic, stone edge actually hits, and finishes the annoying Avianoid off.

Finally, it's Gothitelle, and I just go with Edge, because why not. Wild Charge, unfortunately, doesn't even take half of the Gothitelle out, so I just let Edge do what he can with another wild charge before stupid Gothitelle finishes it off.. and to top it off, heals some of the damage with a Sitrus Berry. I decide to let Pimpin finish the job again, and Petal Dance does it rightfully so.

All she says is:

"You haven't finished off all the Elite 4 member yet, have you? Don't worry about me and go on."

Meh. You were annoying anyway.

Finally in the Elite 4, it's Marshall. His arena opens up and a metal staircase opens up for me. At the top, Marshall's platform falls down at a surprising speed, making him look rather intimidating.

He says:

"You look familiar... ah, yes. I met you at Twist Mountain. The strength you are radiating is far greater now than before! Greetings, challenger. My name is Marshal. I am the No. 1 pupil of my mentor, Alder. In order to master the art of fighting, I've kept training. You're also walking a similar path with your pokemon. It is my intention to test you--to take you to the limits of your strength. Kiai!"

(Bruno's Hoo-ah! is better.)

Anyway, it begins on his side with Throh, and mine with Edge. I was expecting him to use Mienshao first so Psychic would suffice... but surprisingly not! It doesn't even take half of his health, but neither does his Bulldoze (I question why GameFreak didn't let everyone go loose with Earthquake instead)... however, it DOES lower my speed... but Edge is still a lot faster. He then uses Rock Tomb over Bulldoze as I use a flamethrower to deter his health over the halfway point... so we basically have the same goal here! Using this to my advantage, I heal Edge while his Throh uses... payback?

I was right to have healed, because when finishing him with Psychic, I actually am slower than him at this point! I decide to man-mode it with Edge when he sends out Mienshao next... and his Hi Jump Kick misses and Psychic beats it! Nice! Anyway, next is Conkeldurr, but I STILL keep Edge in...

...and then Conkeldurr beats Edge with Hammer Arm before I do anything. Not my best idea.

I decide to go for Piganova, and I use Scald in the hopes of burning him; but no. AND HIS HAMMER ARM LANDS A CRIT!!

This is not fun. I decide to just finish the job with Amethyst. Hurricane beats up the pillar man, and then comes Sawk.

At this point, I'm not too bothered, so I just surf Sawk, being aware of Sturdy (by the way, Sawk actually closely resembles Marshall... minus the muscle fat). We hit each other both for half our health, but Amethyst is faster, so another Surf finishes off Sawk.

His final words are:

"Now... you have become the strongest trainer in this Pokemon League. The statue in the central chamber will take you to the Champion's room."

That was it? ...huh.

Anyway, it's time to go to the central chamber!

It takes me to the same hall as in the first game, and I walk up a long set of pillars.

In the giant hall at the top, there's a central pyramid which I walk up. In the background, there is a dragon statue and a little constellation circle on the wall. Nice touch. But more importantly, standing there is... Iris!

I walk up to her, and she says:

"Welcome, challenger!"

With that, the lights go up.

"I've been waiting for this!"

"Know what? I really look forward to having serious battles with strong trainers! I mean, come on! The trainers who make it here are trainers who desire victory with every fiber of their being! And they are battling alongside Pokemon that have been through countless difficult battles! If I battle with people like that, not only will I get stronger, my Pokemon will, too! And we'll get to know each other even better! OK! Brace yourself! I'm Iris, the Pokemon League Champion, and I'm going to defeat you!"

With that, some strange battle music plays:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV8ZXxypHws

Uh... this is the champion, right?

tumblr_m79jgzi0Bx1rupjolo1_500.png

I let Edge and Iris's Hydreigon have a staredown while I frantically search for an at least somewhat suitable image for the champion...

...to no avail.

Well, I guess her theme is catchy, and suits her.

Anyway, since Edge happens to be first out, I let loose with an Ice Punch! It actually gets a crit, but even them it doesn't fall! Because of this, Iris uses an annoying full restore, and the next Ice Punch doesn't even take half of Hydreigon out! Unfair... thankfully, I'm faster, so I get one more in... and Edge survives the next Dragon Pulse with 15 hp! The next Ice Punch finishes off Hydreigon... and ironically with a crit, too!

A MOTHERFUCKING AGGRON APPEARS FROM HER TEAM NEXT, and Piganova decides to combat this mighty beast... I know Scald will be A LOT more effective than stupid Arm Thrust (come on GameFreak), so I use that instead. Over half of Aggron's health is taken, and then he Automotizes... oh god, DON'T DIE PIGANOVA!

...and then she withdraws Aggron and sends out Lapras... with Water Absorb. Smart move, I'll confess.

So I switch back out to Pimpin, who takes the Surf very nicely.

In the worry of Ice Beam, I use Giga Drain on Lapras, after NARROWLY avoiding a nasty Sing, and take over half of Lapras's health again. The next time, Sing hits... not this again.

I use an Awakening on Pimpin, and then she annoyingly uses Ice Beam... now Pimpin' is doomed. Bye, Pimpin!

I now send out Calvin to finish off the annoying Lapras. I'm worried about the stat drop from Close Combat, but then realize she'll probably send out something smart next, so I take out Lapras.

Surely enough, next up is Druddigon, and I decide to use good ol' Voxie to tank it head-on... buuuuuuuuuuuuut it has Head Smash. What fun, everyone! Not. Now my Iron Defense was useless.

I use a hyper potion, praying that Druddigon will miss... and he uses... flamethrower. Huh. Unfortunately, Focus Blast can still wreck me, so I hyper potion again, because I don't want Voxie's efforts to go to such waste! Nooooooooo!

Now Druddigon is sick of me, and just Dragon Tails me to Piganova... for some reason it loses some of it's hp! This only happened when he used Dragon Tail... what happened that hurt him?

I decide to let Piganova stick around, so I stupidly use Flamethrower. He isn't letting that "Rock Slide". AHASHHSAHAHA-no. Anyway, I use Scald, now that I know what he's going to use, and he burns himself! With this opportunity, I use another flamethrower, which finishes him off! She sends out Aggron again, and now I can finish the job and Scald him again. Thanks, Druddigon! I gain FOUR THOUSAND exp from that Aggron... so that's saying something.

Now she send out a lv59 Haxorus, and I stay in the hopes of scalding it. Unfortunately, he's faster, and Earthquakes Piganova to death. Awww......

Now I send out Amethyst and press Ice Beam. It goes first, and with a crit... LEAVES HAXORUS ON ABOUT 5 HP! He then dragon dances, and out speeds Amethyst and dual chops it to oblivion! Sorry, Ame!

I send out the low health Edge, knowing it can finish Haxorus off... but Haxorus is faster than him too!!

Now I use Voxie in hopes of tanking the hit... but he uses Earthquake... AND VOXIE LIVES ON 8 HP! Rejoice, as Haxorus falls to Rock Slide!

Her final pokemon is Archeops (cool!), and I stay in so I can let Voxie use a Max Revive on Edge, since my only other living pokemon is Calvin. This has been a tough battle!

Archeops finishes off Voxie with Dragon Claw, and I decide to be amusing and see what Calvin can do... even if it's just a normally effective Close Combat.

Archeops uses a Rock Slide and flinches Calvin. Thanks a bunch... Archeops finishes off poor Calvin, who didn't even make it to lv58! WHY DOES THE POKEMON LEAGUE HATE CALVIN?! Jerks QQ

I send out Edge, but not before the dodo CRITS him and finishes him off!

But spoilers! I used a Max Revive on Voxie during Calvin's last breath.

This is all or nothing! Will Voxie live through Archeops?!

Yup. Rock Slide doesn't even take half of Voxie... and it flinches him.

Another one misses! Hah, you've ran out of luck, Iris.

Voxie finishes the team with a nice Stone Edge. Great job, Voxie!

And with that, epic victory music plays, and I win against Iris by the skin of my fucking teeth.

"By having a serious battle, you and your Pokemon, and me and my Pokemon, we all got to know one another better than before! Yep, we sure did! Let's go!"

And the constellations go crazy, line up and make the dragon statue fall down. A staircase to a hole inside the constellation painting opens up. Then Iris just pushes me all the way up to it.

We enter the boring Hall of Fame, and with that, we have beaten the main story of White 2!

As the credits roll, I just want to say, that I'm sorry I put this on such a long hiatus. I fell away from pokemon at one point due to other games, and now I'm back and finished it off, which I'm glad for. I guess playthroughs aren't really my style, so don't expect more in the future, I say.

And no, I'm not doing post game content. I plan to restart this file, play White 2 fresh and experience this game the whole way through! It was fun, Piganova, Pimpin, Voxie, Edge, Calvin and Amethyst!

Each pokemon in the hall of fame pops up with a background for it's primary type, by the way. Cool!

And... now I've unlocked... easy mode! Hell no. I want to do the link thing and do the new file on CHALLENGE mode (I don't care about N's pokemon, okay?)!

Anyway, I thought White 2 was a good game! I felt it was better than the original Black and White, aswell. The story was fresh, almost as dark as the stories in the Orre Games (Colosseum and XD), and it didn't interfere with the battle with the Pokemon League!

The nice spread of pokemon from different regions was nice, although I felt that there were too many missing from the original Unova.

Also, I find Iris to be a bit weird for a champion, because she's technically still a kid and acts like one, but hell, she was TOUGH, so that's fine with me.

So yeah, I enjoyed this game! I don't want to elaborate TOO much on it here, though.

Anyway, that's it from me during this playthrough, goodbye, and may me and the final team member stats bid you farewell!

Final team member stats:

Piganova (Emboar) Lv58

Moves: Arm Thrust, Head Smash, Flamethrower, Scald

Piganova was our decently bulky powerhouse with power in both physical and special attack!

Huh. Piganova didn't level up during the whole of the Pokemon League, even though it did pretty good there. Scald was an excellent asset, but Arm Thrust... c'mon, GameFreak.

Amethyst (Swanna) Lv60

Moves: Ice Beam, Fly, Hurricane, Surf

Amethyst was our swift, specially based attacker bird.

Jeez, Ame fought a lot of stuff in the Pokemon League; she ended up being lv60! Definetely the biggest contributor, and Hurricane had some great offensive power (if horrendous accuracy).

Voxie (Gigalith) Lv59

Moves: Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Iron Defense, Explosion

Voxie was our giant wall with just as much physical offense as defense.

Eh, I wish I got to use explosion, but all is well. Voxie was probably 2nd in contribution, behind Ame, and definetely did a good job finishing off Iris.

Pimpin' (Sunflora) Lv59

Moves: Giga Drain, Growth, Leech Seed, Petal Dance

Pimpin was our prime special attacker and decent special wall, and packed a PUNCH!

Pimpin didn't do all that much during the Pokemon League, but it had it's moments. Petal Dance is NOT to be messed with, on no account.

Edge (Electivire) Lv59

Moves: Flamethrower, Psychic, Wild Charge, Ice Punch

Edge was pretty much an all-rounder in terms of stats, but physical power and speed are particularly notable.

Edge did quite a lot to help out in the last battles, and it's coverage was very nice too. He suffered through some generally entertaining clutch moments, too!

Calvin (Zangoose) Lv57

Moves: Swords Dance, Strength, Close Combat, X-Scissor

Calvin was our speedy, all for nothing physical beast, who could set up sweeps if lucky enough.

Oh, Calvin. Poor, poor, poor Calvin. Your last level up was before Victory Road, and I just want to hug you and cry now ;_;

Oh well, you definetely proved how awesome you were during this adventure. There is some great offensive power in you.

Well, that's it from me! Have a good evening/morning/afternoon/wherever the hell you are!
