Lucine, after wandering about and being generally amazed by the Weatherlight and the complex systems it seemed to be made of (and slightly frustrated that she couldn't even begin to parse them,) decided to start setting up so she could do something she was familiar with. After popping her Herakles card out of Opal and tracking down Vitor to badger him for materials and usefulness, she headed back down to the power core room. The man hadn't said anything about potentially harmful energy coming off of the thing, so she figured setting up a circle on it was the best place possible. Infinite energy, right? She carefully set up a general-use magic circle, intended to have the user change up the internal contents depending on the specific process.

25 v 15. Success!

Quality: 14. Solid.

Random Bitz: 60. Nothing today.

Vitor and Lucine craft a servicable magic circle around the Powerstone.

It went fairly well, Lucine mimicking the one carved underneath her bed at home with advice from Vitor. Almost immediately, she set about preparing her circle for a summoning ritual - they were traveling between worlds, right? So she should probably get something interesting,.

Lucine performs a Class Card summoning ritual, with no catalyst beyond their current location between worlds.

Soon after Nader had worked with Aquila and Contagion to upgrade the former's armor (it hadn't been pretty, but it had worked), he had found himself a nice corner of a room to set himself up in -- he hadn't wanted to take up one of the important rooms, but he did want a spot to work on his guns, because his earlier examination of this time period's guns had been pretty damn enlightening. And so that's what he had been doing the entire time up until now -- with pieces quietly scavenged here and there earlier, Nader revamped his entire arsenal, toying with the mechanisms of his older guns and smirking behind his mask as the work clicked together. Then he took the piddly, sad little PDW he'd got in Vitor's safehouse, and he really got to work on it: replacing the butt and the grips, completely changing up the mechanism to make the gun automatic... it wasn't a Personal Defense Weapon anymore, it was a Personal Assault Weapon.

Nader was satisfied with that. If he learned and upgraded his guns at this rate, by the time he got back to Forenia, he'd win the war for them just by the accumulated knowledge he'd received; while vehicles may have been the sections of the military getting upgraded as of late, Nader doubted that the damn Cannalans would be anywhere close to able to cope with armor and weaponry upgraded using the knowledge that Nader was already getting. Then the Republic of United Forenia would be safe and secure... and not put into any camps, and not conquered by any pirates. Hell, with what Nader could potentially learn about weaponry, Forenia could ditch the Germans altogether, and win on its own. That would be wonderful.

For now, though, Nader would be have to be simply satisfied with the uses in his own arsenal... and he was! He was better armed than he'd been in 1935, that was for damn sure, and he was rapidly getting used to being in the fight again, the way he'd slain that horrible bear thing proved that much. He didn't WANT to be fighting the evil island thing that was undoubtedly watching him (as one of Leo's companions) for any sign of weakness, and he didn't necessarily like the idea of being flown around a bunch of worlds so that people could try to put a round in his head, but as he was he was increasingly confident that when the interdimensional assassins suddenly jumped into the ship, he'd blow them away.

Opening the door and exiting the room he'd holed himself up in and into one of the ship's passages, Nader left the room visibly better-armed than he'd entered it, with TWO rifles across his back rather than just one. He was, however, mumbling on and on to... noone, apparently, as he looked around the passageway to familiarize himself with the ship. "Yeah, that's right fuckers, bet you think you'll catch me off guard, won't you? Watching us all from another plane, are you? I'm already wise to your fucking game, I am. If that island thing Dysto can track us, I have no doubt there are more of you tracking us, and I don't intend for there to be a moment where I'm not ready for you. Aren't gonna get me, whoever the hell you are. I know you're watching, so heed my fucking warning, if you pounce there will be hell to pay."

Foreigner Class Card:  Kosi-Chan.  This class card carries an image of a rather adorable young girl with long grey hair.  She's reading an unlabeled book, and has a series of small, grey pyramids with an opalescent sheen orbiting her head like a crown.

Install:  Annihilator - Whenever Lucine deals damage while this class card is installed, the victim must sacrifice 1 stat point of their choice.

Include:  Glimpse the Unthinkable - Lucine can activate this ability to learn the answer to any question, but then suffer a random info-hazard proportional to the value of the answer.

Lucine, after the glow of the ritual faded, was more than a little confused by what was left behind. "Foreigner. . .?" she asked nobody in particular. "What kind of class is that?" The name printed on the card didn't help, either. "And who is Kosi-chan supposed to be?" It didn't match any historical figure she knew of. Some sort of future Japanese Servant? Regardless, the unusual Class Card was probably helpful, so she carefully folded it away with the other spares she was accruing. She stretched a bit, taking a moment to relax before pursuing her next idea.

Alan had spent what seemed to be the better part of two hours inside of the room he had arbitrarily decided to turn into an office in a vain attempt to try and understand why that bookshelf was inexplicably there, why it seemed to contain different books every single time he let it out of his sight for any amount of time. After another few moments had passed he finally decided that it was in fact magic, and that he should get an exorcist or a competent magical professional to deal with this problem later.

He slowly walked outside of the room with his DOOMBOT in tow as he quietly thought about how under armed and armored his drones were; after a while he finally decided to spend a few moments wandering around the massive place to try and find the cache of arms and armaments the group had liberated from the Talon group earlier, to try and find a gun to give to the DOOMBOT that the Street Samurai's back home wouldn't scoff at, and he would soon find that gun in the form of a rather large minigun that the rest of the group had pretty much ignored completely. And Alan felt just a tiny bit more confident in his ability to defend himself as he wandered out of the impromptu storage room with his slightly better armed drones following closely behind him.

He continued to wander down the hallways of the Weatherlight for a few more moments as he tried to assemble a crude map of the place, and he would soon find himself unable to do anything but stare at his heavily armored ally as the man seemed to go on and on about...something or other and glare dagger at the general area around him with what looked like a brand new and rather odd looking gun on his back. It took a few short moments for Alan to finally decide to rather loudly walk towards Nader before he coughed out and said "What the hell is a Dysto?".

When they departed, Ena had spent a little time watching as some people manned the controls, but it wasn't terribly interesting. Instead, she noted some general fluctuations in the readings of her detectors. They certainly weren't the same as they had been mere moments ago. That meant the vehicle was either capable of warping the fundamental aspects of the universe in it's vicinity, or able to move to locations where these fundamental laws were different. Well worth investigating.

Ena made her way down to the core of the ship, after a bit of searching, and parked herself next to it, sitting herself down on the floor as close as she could to it without touching it. From there, she began with the basic measurements: magnetic fields, gravitational field, and the like. There were interesting readings, yes, but nothing that gave any hints as to what was going on. Then came the more complicated stuff. Determining whether certain particles maintained their symmetry, whether general relativity was still in effect. There were far more tests, but even so, when she was done, she was no closer to understanding the mechanism of the core. However, she had determined one thing about the fabric of her location, and she knew how to replicate it.

Quote

Ena learns that, perhaps unsurprisingly, the laws of physics are more strong suggestions in the Blind Eternities. She learns a trump:

Pinball Wizard: Once per encounter Ena may prevent momentum from being conserved for 1 round for a target. She chooses whether this is by increasing the amount of momentum that comes out of collisions, or by decreasing it.

That would certainly be interesting. It was difficult, and might require finessing, but it could certainly be the building block of many things in the future.

Leo wandering the ship, finds the scoured clean workshop stello had found earlier. Sitting the wreck of the doombot in the corner, he sits himself down and gets to work. propping snow against the wall so she can see what he's doing.

Before he ran experiments with the seed, there was an issue he had to correct. A lack of equipment.

Equipment requires materials, so he shifted through the wreck of the Doombot. Its ruined delicate components and circuitry are striped of metal and leo produces 3 tiny blocks of what he's pretty sure is pure silver, gold, and platinum.

Then he does a ton of mana testing to refresh his memory. A ton of it. And records his results, as always.

Now then. These tiny blocks were not going to last. They were little more then the size of a 1x1 lego brick. But he did want to keep some for casting.

After some thinking he removes two small gears from the wreck and splits the bricks into two slivers. One set is set aside for later.

One of the gears is turned into a chain,  which is melded at both ends into the other gear. While the slivers are shaped into parts of a snowflake and melded into the gear to create a pendant for easy attunement. As leo puts it on it enters contact with his soul, and the pure mana coming from it causes a minor magical effect when becoming attuned to the pendant.

Spoiler

Level 1 Snowgear Pendant: A pendant made of two gears with a snowflake pattern embossed on them.  It is made from what the user believes is Iron, Gold, Platinum, and Silver.
Level 1: The user has +1 RES and +1 Con against Weather and Aging respectively.  The user can channel the materials the pendant is made of.

"Congrats. you made jewelry." she did not sound impressed but leo just waves it off.

"I'm getting to the good stuff. Just hold on." Leo take a few moments to think about what to make. An off hand weapon would be nice. lightning gun? concousive blast? Perhaps one that exploited the electromagnetic rain mana in order to disrupt technology? They sounded interesting but did he really need something like that at this moment? It might be better to keep a hand free in a fight. Oh. maybe...

"What if I made you a drone? nothing to fancy, but a little drone that can fly around"

"With that little material? I'm not going to use a plain iron statue if I can help it."

"I make a small one. Just a tiny humanoid drone you can hold in your hand that will help balance out the material. And I can use some eternal ice as well."

Leo gets to work on crafting the little drone

Spoiler
Leo first pools together some water, from the infinite water supply blue created. Once he has enough he channels a small amount of mana through the shappire on snow's hilt and uses it to freeze the water (Channel)

He then cast create eternal ice on the water. Insuring it will never absorb heat. Ever. Unless of course something makes it stop being frozen water. Such chemical changes would probably cause the enchantment to break down (Create eternal ice)

Leo then takes the 3 slivers, some iron from the doom bot wreck, and the ice. And starts his work

As this is meant to be a drone for snow, its iron body is given female shape. In fact, it shares the same body proportions as snow's projected avatar, just at a smaller scale. The sliver of silver is broken into two pieces and each one is melded into the palms of the hands.  The gold is made into a small band around the golems right wrist. While the platinum goes to the back of the hands.

Most of the ice is used to make butterfly shaped wings, which are affixed to its back
whats left of the ice is used to provide some detailing, covering the parts of the back of the hands that the little bits of platinum don't.  And lining the outer sides of the legs and torso.

Leo creates a small speaker in its head, along with basic cameras. The human ears, for the sake of simplicity and space don't actually handle the hearing. Rather the twin antennas behind the ears, extending back behind the head, pick up vibrations in the air, more or less the same system as the toy golem he made earlier, but with two antenna. They have an orb on the end and a small crescent shape below that, points curling back to point at the head. It kind of looks cute. The head is a subcore, wholly devoted to receiving and processing sensory data. Save for the other responsibility of playing sound data through its speaker.

From there he handles the main core. setting up articulation, and the basic wifi capabilities and simple programing, before finishing off the project for now, Adding the proper systems for manipulating the various mana types its body can provide. He makes a mental note to make clothes and hair for it when he gets sutabale materials.
The intent is a small flying humanoid golem controlled by snow, That can draw on the ambiance to manipulate gravity, create and manipulate force, electricity, and light. And make things colder. But can only operate in close range of snowbound.
If the conectection to that network is severed, the golem should enter idle mode. And should wait in place or obey any simple commands it was given before it disconected. As the golem is very small the simple commands it can execute are mostly limited to "target X point in space with Y effect for Z seconds" or "Move X feet in Y direction"
(shape solid, and basic golem crafting)

But when he is done. Its...Less then what he desired. Although overshooting the ice wasn't that bad.

Spoiler

(20, 12) Leo accidentally freezes the ice below absolute zero before making it into eternal ice, the result is a flaming eternal ice that emits a bright blue electron plasma. The substance itself is cold enough to freeze on contact, while the plasma surrounding it is somewhat warm. If calvera were here, she could use it as a cold compress. In nova form.

(15, 12) (5) Leo creates a crude mannequin shaped like snow's avatar. Splinters are embedded in the hands, and wire is wrapped around the wrists.

(6, 5) (51) Leo creates and attaches a fine set of butterfly wings, and uses the remainder of the ice to cover up most of his mistakes on the body.

(1, 12) Crap! That hurt. that speaker is not fit for it's name. Testing reveals that it just makes this one, really loud and irritating noise. It's busted.

(3, 20) The Cameras can only see in a spectrum that contains no light. In layman's terms. It's busted.

(7, 12) Leo makes a set of antennae, and attaches it accordingly to pick up sound.

(9, 8) (4) A Crude Puppet core is instated, finishing the Golem. The final Result is an Ice Coated Golem incapable of flight. It can draw on Ambience to create and manipulate Weather, Force, Magnetism, Dust, and Decay. It can only operate when near Snowbound. It can touch something with it's glowing hands to begin freezing it. Things frozen long enough will achieve a temperature below absolute zero, causing their electrons to lose enough energy to fail to orbit in a cloud, falling towards the center of the atom, and then violently ricocheting outward in an electrical current. It's core is responsible for all sight, hearing and speech. If the connection is severed, the Golem falls limp until a connection is re-instated.

Leo tries to fix the speaker first but finds himself unable. He throws some scraps of iron to the floor in frustration.

"Best Golomancer in the barren kingdom everyone."

"Drop it. ill fix it later when we get proper parts"

Leo stands, picks up snow and goes to look around the ship. leaving the drone idle next to the scrap.

Upon helping with the armor, Contagion silently nodded, before heading off to find a space to call his own for the time being. He took a seat, and pulled out his plasma torch just to double check that it still worked. Once he saw that it did, he sighed contently, shutting his eyes for a moment, finally getting a rest.

Freya

Freya herself had taken one of the beds (letting her bear carry it along with the jawbone) and picked out one of the many rooms for herself, making it clear to the others that it was her room before closing the door, and getting to work.

Specifically, there was the fact that she wanted to try something. The magic that came from the ship felt… Well, familiar. Not Necromatic in many ways, but she had felt the magic it used to jump from this world to whatever lied in between worlds. It was curious… Curious enough for Freya to pull out her journal and begin writing the feeling down, before theorizing and attempting to figure out how the magic worked, frustrated muttering coming from her from time to time as she wrote for a solid ten minutes. At least until she finally grinned, placing her ink quill away, slamming her book shut, and bringing up her fingers to snap them, letting her magic swirl around her fingers for a second before-

SNAP

For a second, nothing seemed to happen. Then, the air in front of Freya, roughly 5 feet away from the Necromancer, opened up, revealing a black mass of seemingly nothing. Instantly, Freya jumped up, a look of surprise and pure joy on her face as she realized what she did, “OH MY GOODNESS I ACTUALLY DID IT!” she yelled with pure happiness, nearly bouncing in her spot as her brain began to work on ways she could utilize this new ability, instantly forming ideas for what she could use.

First off, she snapped her fingers again, creating a new portal while closing the first one, before sending a quick wisp of magic through it and closing it with another finger snap. If she was right, she just opened a quick portal back home, and sent out a small bit of Necromantic Magic through the portal to try and get one of her old pets back. Hopefully her Wyvern… Or maybe Sir Archknight. Either way, it didn’t matter… She had another thing to work on.

Specifically, using the poor guy who got cut into three pieces by Stellio… At east, after Freya was able to pull it out from the bear. She swore never to try that out again… It was a pain to pull parts back out.

Nonetheless though, Freya got to work, rolling her sleeves out and beginning to… Well, extract the parts of the corpse. Specifically, the bones and organs, which she did so without so much as a flinch. The organs, for the most part, went off to the side, being kept from degrading by her magic, while one of the lungs and the bladder went off to its own little pocket dimension that Freya created at a simple snap of her fingers, mostly because she realized that she could combine the three, the organs and her new portals, to have easy access to do her blood rituals… Which was something she had ALWAYS had a problem with.

For the next hour though, Freya continued her work, breaking apart the skeleton of the man and shifting their skin (by using the knife she carried around) to create little flaps, using her Necromancy to fuse the skeleton fragments to the skin flaps, and then animating them to cause the flaps to act as wings, slowly but surely making their way into the air. An untold number of bone fragments, flapping happily in the air, all from the body of one person who’s only remains were the organs she hadn’t used yet, and they were placed in the same pocket dimension she put the liver and organ from before.

Needless to say, Freya was rather happy by the result.

Spoiler

28 V 11.  Success!
Quality:  8.  Subpar.
Random Bitz:  76!  Minor positive random bitz.
Freya creates the following:
Bone Bats - These little undead bat skeletons fly around doing their master's bidding.  They ignore darkness penalties, have an attack that deals 1d6 damage, and 10 hit points.  Targeted attacks cannot deal more than 1 HP of damage to them at a time, but AOE attacks are registered as normal.  Even if they are completely destroyed, Freya can bring them back to perfect condition by spending 10 HP as a free action.

Just after she completed her project, another portal opened up next to her, causing her to turn and see... A regular old zombie in a suit, nearly human like except for the slight signs of decay on their face, holding a silver tray. The sight of them caused Freya to frown for a second, before shrugging. It was another zombie, so she couldn't complain much. She just wanted her Wyvern...

Leo, slightly salty about his fail in golem crafting. Decides to set up the gym equipment.

Spoiler

(12, 14) (30) He succeeds in Gymming up one of the rooms.

Then decides he may as well set up the other equipment as well. Once he has found a good room for the kitchen he takes a tinyyyyy scrap of platinum from the golem he had made, some iron from the wreck, and some eternal ice. with these parts he makes a small electricity producing dome.

Spoiler

Leo, using eternal ice which ISSENT below absolute zero (again obtained from the infinite supply blue made) Some iron, and a tinnyyyyy scrap of platinum from the tiny golem he made creates an electric dome. The ice creates a dome around the platinum (but leaves a hole for mana to be drawn in from) and the iron forms wires going to and forming multiple electrical sockets. These wires are also covered by the dome for safety. The scrap of platinum is made into an extremely basic core, which provides electricity proportional to the needs of all connected devices. Drawing in ambiance and converting it to electricity

......or not

Spoiler
The result is a dome which makes mana that is attracted to the scrap of platinum inside. No electricity is made, and this isn't platinum.

Leo just stares at it...Then sighs feeling a little defeated. Making such a mistake.

Then comes the little voice in his head. Its not platinum. so its something else. Something he hasn't worked with before. Who knows what he could do with it.

He disassembles the dome, disenchanting the core, and confirms without a doubt that its not platinum as he rolls it between his fingers and confirms its mana type.

He brings up his computer, and makes the proper additions and edits to his list.

"Took you long enough" Of course she would have noticed. She had a good memory

"You know I would prefer it if you corrected my mistakes and faulty memories WHEN you realize it"

He test the mana's on his pendant. The dustiness...the impact force...

Copper. suddenly it all snaps into place as whatever effect doom had put on the metals in his doombot melted away. Or at least ceased to effect leo.

Or maybe that snakebite had raddled his brain a little. Whatever the case, leo could know clearly distinguish the metals properly.

Welp. There goes the excitement of the possibility of substances he hadn't messed around with before.

"...I'm going to bed"

"you do that. I'm going to correct your notes."

And so leo went to lie down and rest/nap/mope or whatever it is he does laying there.

He was a little done with today.

The knight's face is stoney and unreadable for a few moments, as he simply stares at Aquila. Eventually though, he finally sighes, shaking his head.

"Do try not to become compulsive with it," he said, "It may seem like a wise idea in the moment, but looting it will be pointless if we already have too much to carry; this brig, arcane or not, is likely to only have so much space in it's armory. And with this smithy dead and cold as it is, it will be a while before anyone can begin melting down any excess into something useful... speaking of which-"

He took his blade from it's sheath as pulled some ancient stool from the corner, and set it up before the anvil. With a virgin white cloth produced from his armor, he went to work cleaning off the minute blood still left on the blade, despite his earlier cleansing ritual.

Aquila might note the nigh unearthly quality of the metal- lined with a thick, pulsating aura, black as sin, nay, darker than black, even, as no end of whispers escaped from it in a haunting, yet magnificient cadence as the knight worked the cloth up and down it's length.

"You ever seen a ship that has a smith in it's belly, with all the wood exposed? A fool must've designed this chamber..."

Aquila was mostly staring at the other man's tool. Perhaps if he could get something similar for his flail then he'd be more effective... But there was some warning to be heeded that he remembered something about once corrupted you can't go back? Maybe it used slightly different language but... this did seem useful if Stellio had it. Besides, Stellio was a good man so it was probably perfectly fine.

"I wouldn't be so dismissive. That woman Freya pulled from the rock was apparently an Angel so perhaps there is more to this vessel than there seems... by the way my friend, how is it that your sword is so... peculiar?"

Underneath him, he hears the sound of something big and heavy walking. Slowly lumbering.
As Frostbrute, straining under its own weight (It seems its engine has been shut down) deposits something into the room.

"This will have to do" The voice could be higher quality, but that's definitely snow's voice.

"Hmmm, I see you lot were up to quite a bit as I explored, then..." the knight said "As for the sword- it's been enhanced by the arcane. In my world, there is a substance which flows freely, fills the air and everything else that is or might be- we call it 'Mana'. Most folks, those who don't take up killing for a living, they'll go their whole lives only knowing the faintest bit about the stuff, only ever hearing it in passing or on the odd occasion. Even as it constantly flows through their bodies like water does through a sieve.

Then.... there are others. Those who actively study the flow of our world's mana; warriors, mages, scholars... like myself. We make ourselves aware of the mana flowing through us, and we take strides to trap some of it as it does, let it build up into reservoirs of power we can draw upon... and from this power, we weave spells according to whatever elemental affinities we are versed in, and through those spells, we harness the ability to create and to destroy... like the gods themselves did, before they left us."

He finally finished the polishing. The cloth, once white and virgin, came away tainted a thick crimson, before a dark aura overtook, and a phantasmal laugh echoed in the room as some dark god feasted on the blood offering Stellio hadn't even intended to give him. The knight ignored it though, holding the blade up high to inspect it. And as he did, he funneled yet more mana through the metal, resonating with that which was already there and making the black aura expand before Aquila's eyes.

"Weapons like this one are relatively common in my homeworld. Arms and Armor which are imbued with both raw mana, and woven spells from mana, during the forging process. This blade you see is no different- I was present when our Commander had it forged... and I personally infused it with the darkness that now calls it home."

Aquila thinks for a bit on this new information. He takes a moment to check out his flail before suddenly thinking of something.

"If you can do that with darkness... do you think we could see if the angel can do it with light? Since teams should cover each other's weaknesses that way we could get each other's backs if one of our weapons is ineffective!"

Aquila looks quite satisfied with his logic.

"You have a fair point, aye..." The knight nods as he sheathes the weapon "as for the angel and the light, well... from what I've experienced so far, there seems to be no shortage of mana flowing through this world, just as with mine. I see no reason why a Divine creature wouldn't be able to possibly... recreate the processes used in my home, if they knew of similar methodology."

With that said, he rose from the small chair- it was barely even a chair, really, just a small wooden slab that barely came up to his shin, with four legs supporting it -and looked at Aquila expectantly, clearly his cue to lead the way

"On the subject of divines.... this girl who rose the angel- Freya, you said? The necromancer? Interesting...the ones back home only conjured up wraiths. Are there any more of the things about, or did she only extract the one?"

Aquila shrugs as he leads the way.

"I think she has some risen dead following her, but nothing I'd call a wraith... Anyways, she might have more running about but I would have left before then. Scared the nice witchy girl and I felt kind of awkward. Partly because I kept staring. Kind of wanted that to go unnoticed y'know?"

"Eh. Happens. you should have seen Leo when he was working on this body. I don't even know what was going on in his head."
She shrugs and looks at her hands.

"Its at least halfway useable, but the form is off, and the eyes and speaker don't even work properly. The hearing is...OK, but the other senses are having to be taken in by the core itself. At the very least it should give me some...interesting abilities."

She makes the sound of taking a deep breath, and manages to create a magnetic field around her entire body.
