[IC] TotM:DC "Terraria: A fresh start"

Jun slowly started to walk towards the make shift bridge before she said "Well it probably wouldn't hurt too much if we just popped over there for a few moments to scope it out. Although I wouldn't have a problem if you had any other ideas on where we should go, just as long as it isn't too far away from here that is.".

Alyssa looks at the Barkeep with barely concealed disdain. "I can help you out with that. And I'll throw in a little extra just to let you stare and gape in awe." She spins away from him with a flourish, almost whipping his face with her newly painted hair. She calls back as she walks upstairs to the rooms. "You can go and do other things for the day. I will take care of the place if you would like a break."

Whether he leaves or not, she gets to work. It might take all morning, but by the gods this place is going to look amazing. A woodland fantasy theme for the sample room. Once the Barkeep sees this one room, he is going to practically beg her to remodel the whole building. The room has royal blues, purples, and golds with intricate designs on the wooden bed frame, dresser, and table. A window brings in the morning light at the perfect angle to land on the soft and newly lined bed. The room almost seems to glow and gives a refreshing feeling to anyone who even walks in.

Standing in the doorway, Alyssa gazes upon her masterpiece and sighs. "Perfect. Now that barkeep might even pay me to-" She turns around to head downstairs only to stare at the hallway that connects the rooms. Her eyes squint as she flings angry thoughts at the poor design choices. "I suppose one more room will just be a better sample for him. Then I will go speak to him."

The hallway is done in a similar fashion with browns and golds and a beautiful, yet soft runner that covers most of the floor. Done once more, she prepares to go downstairs. "Now, I-" A door creaks open as a wooden squirrel darts between a few rooms and looks awfully similar to a recently carved decoration. Oh, well. It will be someone else's problem. She peeks in the door and sees an excessively drab bedroom.

...

Two floors, Ten bedrooms, Three paintings, Twelve rugs, One paint job on the exterior, Six hours, and plenty of inspired creativity later, Alyssa has remodeled the entire tavern and still has not fixed the daubing in the corner.

She walks up to the Barkeep with a polite smirk on her face. "Ta-da."

Spoiler

Ess craft: 12 vs 18,
Quality: 86,
Random effect: 65,

Alyssa manages to get most of what she set out to do done...except for one of the bedrooms.
All she wanted to do was make cute little squirrel carveings on one of the bed posts, that's it.  But nooo!  It just had to come alive and run off into the rafters somewhere.
Now she's got a living wooden squairrel lost somewhere in the Tavern.  She doesn't know exactly where it went, but she gets the feeling it will cause nothing but trouble when it shows up later.

Anyone who sleeps in the Tavern for the night gets a +1 bonus to their first roll of the day.

"Well, there is an old castle just to the north of here," Lucille answered, seeming to practically jump at the opportunity to divert this madness "Probably wouldn't take that long to get to. And considering half the reason I even agreed to come with you guys is so I could search for the Artifacts the Guide mentioned... even if we don't find anything immediately useful, could still help us figure out what happened to this island, and why... and maybe how to use it to our advantage."

The party is distracted from their current course of conversation as they crest the next hill and the forest is peeled away from either side.

Out below them the land flattened out and turned almost barren, what little vegetation there was was twisted with a black or purple tinge.  Thorn covered vines overtook rotting mounds of dead trees.  Large expanses of exposed blackish-purple rock cover the ground and several great chasms scar the earth further in.  The odd ghoulish, almost petrified looking tree dotted the landscape.

A wide band of....sunflowers? Seperates the twisted Corruption and the natural forest.  All of then are easily taller than anyone in the party here.  Their heads seemed to glow with a warm sunlight that was in stark contrast to the Corruption right next to them.

While Lucille didn't see the horror and beauty she could feel the contrast of raw magical forces.  First a veritable ocean of eldritch magic twisting the landscape and pounding against a barrier of lighter magic.  Second the barrier seemed to be coming not from a single source, but instead thousands of magically augmented plants not unlike her own creatures.

The sunflowers appeared to continue around the border between the two biomes for as far as the party could see.

"This... this is..." Lucille could only shake her head, moving closer to the flowers "I don't even know...Incredible, horrifying.... but someone's put a lot of work in here. Each of these flowers- its like their all working together, like a dam holding back a sea. They're probably the only reason this whole area is still remotely normal..."

She reached up, but couldn't quite get to the flowers themselves, though the warm pulse of their magic thrummed through her fingers. Luckily a certain steel pigeon quite literally swooped in, landed gingerly, and began to peck at the plant's face. Lucille eagerly caught the seeds knocked loose, pocketing them for later.

Lucille gains: A Handful of Terrarian Sunflower Seeds

"Whoever did this probably knows more about the magic of this world than anyone we found in the village... I'm almost tempted to look for them, but no telling when the first of these flowers were planted or where they are now" with that said, she addressed Jun and Toshiro directly "Anyways... there, we're here. You got a good enough look at what's beyond this flower barrier? Hope so. I can't see it, but I definitely feel it every second we stand here, almost like a tidal wave frozen in time..."

Toshiro leaned forward right hand over his three red eyes seemingly unfazed by the sight of the corruption. He was more impressed at the fact someone planted all these flowers around the place. He could imagine all the work they put into it and respected that it might be a barrier to keep whatever this was at bay. He made sure to take care coming near the flowers as to not disturb their hard work.  "Eh, I've worse. Oh! For instance, I once went to a place where giant eyeballs grew on trees and there were loose piles of the things everywhere." He leaned his left arm on his long blade once more.  "I say we scope out the edge of the place and maybe fight a stray creature or two. You can never really know what your enemy is capable of until you cross swords with them. But if you all don't feel comfortable going in that's fine. I won't force anyone to go and I definitely won't be heading in there alone."

"I agree that we should at least check it out. Im also interested in takeing material samples."

Snow projects her avatar, looking down on the area in front of them, while stone heart's shards lightly coil around leo.

"Hold on. Are we sure that's a good idea. For all we know, this stuff can spread to people."

"Scared. Curious. Conflicted."

Leo looks thoughtful for a moment.

"Mmmm...i cant imagine it would spread to us just from entering. At least, not immediately. If it could spread that fast, there woulden't have even been time to build a barrier around it before it consumed everything. I think we should be fine for a little bit."

"That makes sense."

Leo turns back to the others. Waiting on there responses.

"Um... Well, Harry said fire is typically good at burning stuff you inhale... I could try burning it, if you want? Who knows, maybe we can burn it back a little."

Calvera scratches her head, looking to the others.

"Or I could try something else that I've been messing with in my free time."

Leo shakes his head
"We don't want to damage anything that might be useful. Or risk harming the barrier...That being said, if something tries to kill us, your free to fry it."

Leo looks back to the corruption, and takes a step. Putting a foot over the barrier.

"So far so-"
Then there was an explosion and some monsters
"Scratch that!"
He drew snow and prepared for a fight.

Spoiler

Random event: 30,

Leo puts one foot over into the Corruption and for a second it seemed nothing would happen, that is until the ground a few yards from him explodes upwards as in a shower of grit and stones.  Three creatures flew out of the new hole in the ground, each was a mass of desiccated flesh with long sharp boney protrusions, an almost insectoid mouth, and many beady eyes.

Do, rather than hiss as a cat should, arched his back and unleashed a roar befitting of a lion, wings unfurling and eyes boring into the three beasts. The other dragons, nor the bird or the snake, were anywhere near as courageous though- all of them retreated behind their mistress, and soon enough back up the hill they'd descended. Even the Chameleon was gone, quite literally- there one moment, vanished into thin air the next... though the hurried pitter-patter of his feet gave him away as his invisible form retreated.

"I told you guys so..."  Lucille sighed deeply, producing her cane from her bag. Her hands trembled even as she did- her body wanted nothing more than listen to instinct, to flee... the beasts had been right, she'd been right. But nope, they'd wanted to press forward anyway. And lo and behold, quite literally not even a step in, and there was trouble. "I. FUCKING. TOLD. YOU. SO. Now let's hurry up, kill these things, and GET AWAY FROM THIS GODS FORSAKEN PLACE before they can call anything worse!"

"If were lucky, once we kill them there should be a window of opportunity for us to gather samples. We should take them out as quick as we can."

He steps forwards past the barrier.

"Stoneheart, stay back. frostbrute, no ice fire."

Spoiler

(Action level 1) Channel: The user channels mana from there soul to perform a fiatable action.
   (Trick level 1)-
The user may channel while preforming other actions, but only if there hands are free

Winter blade: The user uses a skill that wreaths a weapon in icy energy from there body, dealing weapon damage+STR Ice damage. Has a 10% (30% against targets weak to ice) chance of inflicting freeze for one turn, stunning them. Freeze is cured if the target is struck by an Fire attack and the attack is negated.

Snow bound: A well-made golemic Sword containing a multi material core made up of gold, iron, diamond and a soft putty, the body of a sentient AI known as Snow, who runs the blades functions. There is a metallic eye in the side of the guard that doubles as a hologram projector with a speaker under it, which snow often uses for herself. She has network and 3G connectivity, a usb connection port, and a scanner. In battle, she reveals her icy abilities.
Her blade is made of iron, with a shard of eternal ice running down the middle, specifically, a type of eternal ice that refuses to absorb heat. The handle is wrapped in leather, which is fused into the metal handel. Opposite the hologram projector is a sapphire.

Attacks with this weapon have inflict chill if the attacker succeeds a SYN vs RES check. chill increases the effectiveness of ice on the afflicted target to 150% for three turns. This weapon deals 1d4 damage, and regardless of if Snow is in reserve or equipped, so long as she remains in the inventory. She reveals and tracks any interesting or strong energy signatures, drawing attention to them.

(Merit level 1): Precious and protected: This item cannot be targeted by equipment targeting effects and is soul bound.

(Merit level 2): Cautious crafting: when attempting to craft on this item, failure will not result in detrimental or destructive consequences, nor will success include negative side effects. however, the difficultly of all crafting checks on this item are greatly increased.

(high quality Trick) Blizzard wind: The user cast a spell that kicks up an icy wind. Dealing 1d6 Ice damage to all foes.

Frost brute (equip minion): (See: Frost brute)

(Passive) Machine Synergy: When using mechanical or golemic equipment, the effectiveness of the equipment is boosted by 3, or by [Gm fiat] if No numerical values exist for that piece of equipment.  This does not take up an action slot

Golem tech arm mounted computer: a custom-built arm mounted touch screen computer. It has a small touch screen with a curve to it, and can project hard light holographic screens and interfaces on command. Its Main purpose is to monitor and control golemic systems, but it IS a computer. It also includes a web browser, several utility programs, and…a few simple computer games, along with a few movies.

In battle this device can project a hard-light shield. granting plus+1 res. This item does not take up an action slot.

Night vision: This character can see in the dark far better than others.
(level 2):This passive does not take up an action slot.

Frostbrute

Spoiler

Frost brute (equip minion): A large bulky and stocky mechanical golem made primarily of iron and copper, with large rectangular hands and round claws. its large enough for a human to sit on its shoulders, or be crushed in a single hand, but small enough height wise to fit in most buildings without issue, if it can get past the doors. When its ice fire engine is running there is a constant rumbling in its chest, and the three exhaust pipes, on each side of its wedge-shaped head, spew snow and ice, and its body is perpetually cold. Although it can act without this engine it is incredibly slow and weak without it, barely able to move under its own weight. Because of the danger and collateral risk of ice fire, Leo is reluctant to field it without his own personal supervision, or the direct supervision of a trusted individual who can counter the ice fire. When using ice fire to attack, this minion uses magic heat manipulating systems to prevent it from going out of control, and choke the fire as necessary.

Current levels-
Equipment level 1 (CC)
Merit level 1 (merit upgrade)
Merit level 2 (merit upgrade)
Merit level 3 (Merit upgrade)
Merit level 4 (Merit upgrade)
Merit level 5 (Merit upgrade)

This equip item takes up TWO action slots. this minion may be given a command once per turn as a free action when equipped.

HP:20
(merit level 1) bound: this minion is bound as a result of merit investment.

(Merit level 1) : Ice fire engine: This unit consumes heat as fuel for its movements, ice fire attacks, and immense strength. Heat levels are roughly categorized into the levels. Ice cold, chill, cozy, cooking, and burning bright. the engine is at its weakest in areas that are ice cold, and at its strongest in areas that burn bright. Actions which run off heat are stronger based on the heat level, but can also lower it if they exert enough power or are used enough.

Ice fire stream: Frost brute releases twin streams of ice fire at its target from its hands, while using heat manipulation to keep it under control. This Deals 1d3 ice damage to a target, and inflicts the ICE FIRE! Debuff on warm and hot targets. Continually dealing 1d3 damage until it is extinguished. But passing on the debuff to anything they touch which is warm or hot, or just not frozen.
(Merit level 1) : The number of targets afflicted by ice fire or normal fire effects the local heat level
(Merit level 3) :The damage of ICE FIRE is now 2d3

(Equipment level 1) Extinguish ice fire: Brute purges the ICE FIRE! debuff from a target.
(Merit level 4): Frostbrute now has the option to mass extinguish all Icefire in an area. but this includes its own engine, causing it to shut down.
(Merit level 5: Frostbrute no longer targets its own engine when using mass extinguish)

Absorb heat (passive): when struck by a fire or heat based attack the attack is negated and the next ice fire stream deals extra damage. However, if struck by an ice or cold attack, the damage taken is increased, and ice fire stream’s next use is negated, and all strength based actions are weakened considerably until ice fire streams next use.

(Merit level 1) Absorb heat (passive): when struck by a fire or heat based attack, the attack is negated and the heat level is temporarily rasied by one for one round, however if struck by an ice or cold attack the damage taken is doubled and the heat level is temporarily reduced by one for one round

(Merit level 2) : Super strength: This unit may perform a fiatable strength based action, with its immense strength. this is dependent on the ice fire engine, and as such the maximum output depends on the heat level. if it pushes itself hard enough it is capable of immense feats, but may lower the heat level in its exertion. If this unit must check strength for any reason, this is the ability which is taken into account. If the use of this action lowers the heat level, the engine may stall

Merit: 2

 (38 points earned)
HP: 24
Moves: 9

Stats: (21/21)

Essence: 4
Constitution: 2
Dexterity: 9+2
Intelligence: 9
Resistance: 2+5
Strength: 2
Synergy: 1
Perks:
Weirdness Censor: The Ambassador has a Dex*2 chance of dodging an attack by simply causing the attacker to suddenly be overwhelmed by the ambassador's darting movements and increasingly incomprehensible appearance that they just mentally file the Ambassador as somebody else's problem.
Beyond the Veil: Grants the perk backed action "Void of Incomprehensibility".

Actions:

(Perk Backed) Void of Incomprehensibility: The Ambassador can choose to over charge his personal field of chaos to the point where absolutely anything can be used to distract others enough to trigger mass change blindness and cause him to effectively disappear and become unable to become the target of any single target actions. The Ambassador must make an opposed Dex v Int check to stay in stealth if he has attacked the other participant in the opposed check, or if they had managed to successfully land a blow on Jun anyway. And he takes a malus to the roll that is equal to the other participant in the opposed check's Intelligence for every single success. He can choose to immediately end the stealth effect at will, and this ability can only be used once per encounter.
Level 2: Jun now gains a +3 to the first opposed check to remain hidden

Level 3: This action is now treated as being a First Strike action

Level 4: This action is now usable twice per encounter, but the second time it is used Jun must succeed on an opposed DexvInt check against the enemy closest in the initiative order to the move Jun uses to reactivate this action. Jun rolls twice for this roll and uses the lowest result.

(Trick) Extra Attack: Once per round when you make a basic weapon attack against a target you may follow up with an additional basic weapon attack against the same target as a free action.

MS-MUN3 Plasma Blade: A basket hilted plasma sword with the ability to quickly retract and extend it's bright red plasma blade in the blink of an eye. The fact that the plasma streaming out of the hilt actually follows the hilt when you swing it and remains in the shape and form of a blade is a small miracle of science. The fact that it only deals 2d6+Dex damage with the damage being treated as fire damage is...disappointing to say the least. The Ambassador can change the color of the blade by simply fiddling around with the settings, but he really doesn't see the point in doing it that often...it is mostly meant for ceremonial purposes after all.

Merit Level 2: This weapon is now Bound and it now deals 3d6+Dex damage

Merit Level 3: This weapon now deals 4d6+Dex damage

Merit Level 4: This weapon now ignores damage immunities

Merit Level 5: This weapon now deals 4d6+(Dex*1.2) damage.

Terraria Copper Bow:
Deals 2d6+[Dex], High-fantasy themed.
Level 2(Crafting): +3 damage, once per plot the user may invoke a 50% crit chance(overrides other crit chances) for double damage

R.O.L.L. Defense System: The durable suit of power armor has been designed in such a way that lets blows glance off the user if they were fast enough to get out of the way, adding +3 to their resistance stat rounded down.

Merit Level 2: This item is now bound and it grants an additional +2 to Resistance.

Crafting Roll Upgrade I: This item now has a 10% chance to grant a bonus of +1 Dexterity

Crafting Roll Upgrade 2: This item's chances of providing a +1 bonus to Dexterity has been increased to 20%

Cybernetic Enhancements : Due to balance issues, the complex series of cybernetics that were implanted or woven in somewhere inside of The Ambassador's body might only be able to give a flat +2 bonus to dexterity that applies for everything a dexterity stat affects. That is if this item idea doesn't get rejected outright

Ambush Hunter: By exploiting a target's complete and utter inability to react to his presence quickly enough the Ambassador can deal an additional 1d4 damage when he attacks a target that was already attacked this round or if the Ambassador currently has Void of Incomprehensibility up, in which case it also grants him first strike.
Level 2: This ability now adds 2d4 damage

Level 3: This ability now adds 3d4  damage

Level 4: This ability now adds 4d4 damage.

Jun immediately takes out a few arrows from her quiver and opens fire on the first Eater of souls!.

Move 1: Jun attacks with her Terraria copper bow on Eater of Souls A twice, dealing 2d6+Dex damage with every single attack unless the target has already been hit before, in which case she would deal another 4d4 damage.

Passive effects: +2 Dexterity from an item, 22% dodge chance from perk.

Strength: 1
Synergy: 0

Relevant Perks

The 3rd Instance: [When Lucille casts a thaumaturgical Spell/Ritual, the numerical effects of said spell/ritual are boosted by 1.3x]

Beast Heart: [Lucille has a number of "Bonds" equal to her Essence*2. These "Bonds" can be expended to bind living, non-sapient beasts/monsters and turn them into companions under her control. Binding beasts requires Lucille to spend her action forming a Bond with them, at which point a number of bonds equal to ½ the Beast's Int will be expended (rounded down), with a minimum requirement of 1. If Lucille doesn't have enough open Bonds available to satisfy this cost, the binding fails. The bonds expended on them will be restored to Lucille upon either the Creature being reduced to zero hp in battle and dying, or by her dismissing them, which may be done at any time as a free action. Bound Beasts who are dismissed will never turn hostile towards Lucille or her companions unless attacked after the fact. Bound Beasts have Stats and Actions identical to their normal counterparts, and act simultaneously with Lucille during her turns.]

Slots: 7/7

Actives (1)

Edge of Silence*- The user employs a Thaumic Formula via either an Incantation or Inscription of a Sigil, in order to create a ripple in Animus and thus spawn a wondrous effect into the physical world. Consisting of the Aspects <Sound, Multi-, Blade>, This Formula prompts sonic energy to be produced, which then promptly forms into vorpal blades that slice into a target.
~Current Effects~ [Active. Thaumaturgical Spell. Launches 2 attacks that deal (1d3+Int) sonic damage each, and may both be aimed either at the same, or different targets. These attacks are undodgeable, and ignore Damage Reductions, though Damage Immunities still apply.]

Passives (1)

Uncanny Senses- Lucille has spent her entire life missing her sight, but her taste, smell, touch, hearing, and other senses have all been amplified in order to compensate. Though she cannot see, she actually has a far greater situational awareness than most sighted people, and is more than capable of functioning effectively in dangerous situations... [Passive Ability. While equipped, The user is able to make an extra action once every 3 rounds, starting turn 1 of combat.]

Do

Sex: Male
Race: Felis Draco Ferum ("Iron Dragon-Cat")
-A predatory feline that is, for all intents and purposes, the amalgamation of a cat and a dragon. It's fur is coarse to the touch and surprisingly hard; so much so they could function almost like needles if bristled. A set of Long curved talons sprout from it's paws, and its front fangs extend below it's jaw, resembling a saber-tooth tiger's. It has three long, spindly appendages sprouting at even intervals from either side of its body, each of which is tipped with a Talon; stretched between these appendages is a thin, scaled flap of skin starting at the creature's shoulder and extending to the end of its tail, becoming narrower as it does- effectively forming a set of wings that can either be furled and held flush to the body, or spread over their full span of roughly 2 yards to enable sustained flight. It stands at around the same height as a medium sized dog (24-26 inches).

After an outing to the mines, which turned out to be simultaneously frustrating and productive, he returned with a destination in mind and a bit of ore.

Quote

Copper ore(x9)
Iron ore(x4)
Tungsten ore(x7)

He looked around to try and find Satomi; she was a craftsman, right? She could probably find a use for the ore.

If Kusuke were looking for Satomi, it's highly likely that he would find her at the smelter (a convenient place for someone carrying all that ore anyway), where the diminutive Kaiu samurai had gone on the advice of the Guide. She had decided to visit the Mason that she was told was present: not knowing the size of the blocks, and therefore most certainly not having done the calculations she would need to do in her head to estimate if she had enough material to make one or both replacement walls primarily out of stone, she needed to get the Mason's opinion on if she needed to get more stone made.

She approached the Mason in a businesslike manner, flipping through her notebook (though she had folded and stored some of the paper the Guide had offered her in her obi) and reading some of the notes she'd put down asked her question rather simply: "I intend to replace the village walls with stone, which is one of your best bets if you want them to survive the siege, but I need to know if in your opinion the stone you have here is enough to replace those walls with. It's about a three hundred feet and four hundred feet total for north and south respectively by my reckoning, though I suppose you'd likely know that already."

Kusuke poked his head in. "Oh, hey Satomi. I dug up some ore earlier while I was exploring the mines, and I figured you'd be able to do something with it. Also was hoping to get some help exploring, since I ran into a huge mass of these slime things down there and I didn't particularly feel like getting digested over a hunch. Looks to me like copper, iron, and a metal I don't really recognize that well."

Frostbrute uses SUPER STRENGTH, Targeting Eater C. He attempts to grab it, and slam/throw it into the ground (If eater C is already dead, target the healthiest looking eater instead)

Leo uses Winter blade on Eater A, attacking with snow bound. (If eater A is already dead, target the healthiest looking eater instead)

Snowbound receives a bonus from machine synergy
The Arm mounted computer receives a bonus from machine synergy

The arm mounted golem computer raises leo's res

Outside the Smithy(Satomi/Kusuke):

The Mason listens to Satomi's question and after a moment of thought he replied.

"The uniform bricks I've got are about this size--" He gestured a block roughly the size of a modern cinder block, "--There aren't enough to entirely replace the walls, but there are also piles of slightly smaller loose and irregular stones stored just inside the mine.  If you're planning on doing large scale wall construction or reinforcing with concrete someone will need to go get more Limestone, this barrel by the smelter is our last one."

Kusuke stuck his head into the conversation right as the Mason finished up, only for the Blacksmith to butt in when he mentioned ore.

"Ya drop the ore in that barrel over there an' I'll sort it out ta' smelt it when I'm done here."

With that said he proceeded to pour more of what looked like purple sand into a hole near the top of the smelter.

Tavern(Alyssa):

For the first couple hours the Barkeep hung around working on various things and occasionally giving her a disapproving glare, but eventually when he went out to something somewhere else in the village was when Alyssa could finally and truly get to work.

Once Alyssa had finished up with everything except the daubing he had originally asked her to do, she heard a strange noise coming from downstairs.  Upon investigation she would discover the Barkeep standing in the middle of the Tavern's lower floor greatroom with a mixed look of confusion, panic, and terror on his face.

"What-what have you done? what have you done to my bar?"

Corruption Border(Basically everyone else):

Spoiler

Of the first two creatures one attempts to slam itself bodily(spikes first) into Leo and the other into Toshiro, they deal 14 and 9 damage respectively.

The third creature swoops down at Leo and bites at him, smearing acidic saliva on him in the process, Leo takes 7 damage and loses 6 Res for two turns.

Jun fires two arrows at one of the creatures, dealing 13 and 15 damage to it.

Toshiro’s rending strike tears the first creature to ribbons and deals 19 damage to the second.

Likewise Lucille’s sonic blades turn the third creature into mincemeat and Do tears apart the last wounded creature as if it was some sort of morbid cat-toy.

Leo and Calvera don't even get a chance to react because everything is already dead.

The creature Jun shot convulses for several seconds before vomiting up a small(and partially digested) sack.

Loot:

Spoiler

1 Red-Heart,

5 Bone Spike: Possibly useful, definitely gross,

3 Rotten Flesh: Why would you ever take this?,

1 Vomit Covered Sack: Could contain anything from eyes and teeth to jewels and gold.

(Feel free to not take loot if you don't want it)

Jun swiftly takes out another arrow as she walks up to the convulsing remains of the creature she had attacked earlier, and in one swift movement she fires another arrow at the remains at point blank before she leans down and kicks the vomit covered sack away from the remains and broke off a couple of bone spikes. She then gestures at the fallen...whatever those were and says "Gather whatever samples you can from those creatures as quickly as possible, I don't think we want to stay in one place for long unless we want to bump into any more of them". She then wanders over to where she had moved the sack and gingerly opens it.

"Wow you guys work fast"

He quickly test the bone and acid. after jun finds a ring he also test it, and is surprised to find its ruby is not a magitrope, considering everything else he has encountered here thus far seems to have been.

Sending frostbrute ahead nothing seems to happen, aside from frostbrute stomping away thorns and getting a rock sample.

It seemed safe enough so leo started walking over to him...

The ground seemed a little soft, but if it could hold up something as absurdly heavy as frostbrute it could hold-

Then leo stepped in a spot he definely should not have stepped in, the ground gave way and he fell several feet before catching himself on a jagged rock, now cut up a bit more. So he downs another potion...

He can hear a humming vibration from the stones around him...neat.

"IM OK"

Satomi put a hand to her chin when Kusuke arrived and when the Mason and Blacksmith spoke, thinking things through before replying to them or even greeting Kusuke -- it was clear the gears were working in her head, so to speak. Slowly, a very pleased grin spread across her face. "...yeees, hummm, yes, I think this all works out!" She suddenly straightened up and then gave a quick little bow to the time traveling boy, her hair flinging outwards from the speed of her frenetic little head-bob. "Let's see, with that metal, with some more stone and limestone, with the wood... yes, I'm getting an idea! I can build with stone and concrete, then reinforce with wood beams at the back, perhaps string some wires up them to keep the beams together better... ooh, that's good, heh heh. Maybe I can give my swords some long-deserved upgrade, too! And then your knives, too, Kusuke-san, thank you very much for the metal."

She looked back and forth between Kusuke, the Mason, and the Blacksmith, hand back to her chin, and then she clapped once. "Well, while the blacksmith works on that ore, Kusuke-san, you said that you wanted some help exploring the mine? We could take a jaunt down there to gather some materials, like stone, which I can then use to make those walls... um... not bad. I think it works for both of us!"

Do wandered over to the abomination he dispatched, savagely ripping and tearing at the carcass as he dug out the protective spikes and snapped them off with a deft stroke of the paw. With the spoils of that gruesome battle secured, he spread his wings and flew back across the barrier of sunflowers, spitting the spikes out at Lucille's feet. She pet his head in thanks, earning a content pur.

Lucille takes the 5 Bone Spikes!

"Oh for the fucking love of... would SOMEONE help that poor idiot get out of whatever he fell into so we can leave? Preferably one of you whose already in that abomination of a biome..."

Alyssa looks at the barkeep with a scorned expression.

"Do you not appreciate the upgrade? I admit, I may have gotten a little carried away, but your dingy hovel that you called a bar is now an elegant, high class drinking establishment. Plus you can charge more from anyone but my friends and I."

She shoots him a wink and leans down to give him a sarcastic bow.

"You're welcome."
