Rainbow Field Question

Hi, I have a question about the rainbow field. Sorry, if this is not the right place to ask.

 

- If I use tri-attack in a rainbow field, do I still get normal-type STAB or do I get STAB randomly depending on the type of damage, tri-attack is going to be changed into? Sources give conflicting information on this topic: some claim that special normal-type moves change their typing, others claim that a random typing is added to the normal type.

Tri-Attack used under the Rainbow Field will turn it on a Normal/Random type move.

 

I'm trying to find my P-Z right now but I have literally zero idea of where I left it. I'll post a screenshot whenever I find it.

#EDIT 2: I'm pretty sure of it, but I decided to ditch all my PP on other ghost just to confirm and yeah, it's Normal/Random or I'm always getting Normal/Fighting.

Thanks a lot @HUEnd! Now I´m certainly gonna play my porygon-z in my rainbow team.

 

(Just to be sure: You are certain, the Heliolisks attack didn´t just become fighting or normal by chance and missed because of that?)
