Unknown Guy
Hehe, this is one of those generic forum questions, but I love, love, love, love music, and I find the type of music a person likes says a lot about them. Personally, I'm big into gothic-metal. Not sure why, but a few of my favourite bands, Nightwish, Within Temptation, and Leaves` Eyes, are classified as "goth-symphonic metal". I guess I just dig singers with opera voices. >.> And I've been listening to Sara Bareilles a lot lately. :/ Gravity is one of my new favourite songs, it kinda fits the mood I've been in lately. .-. So, what genre of music, or artists, do you like? Edited November 2, 2012 by Hark
Ringabel
Classical and Orchestra are some of my faves. I also like rock music and some metal. I love chiptones and all good video game music. I hate dubstep it's just so loud and random it makes my ears burn like 1000 suns. I like techo when done right. And i don't know what to call it but the music stile of Pokemon Conquest is just PURE AWESOME!
Legacy
@Almost Perfect - I like your siggy. A7X <3 Yeah I'm a hard rock/metal fan and musician. Forever listening to the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium and AxeWound (see avatar), with the classic Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath in there as well. Got quite a range around the Rock/Metal genres and their sub-genres. On note of the text, am I the only one who hasn't struggled at all with it? Administrators Amethyst Posted November 1, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 1, 2012 If there is a topic for genres as a whole, it's long since dead, so this is fine. A7X fans- What's your favorite song by them? I need to know in order to confirm a theory I have ._. I don't know what genre I listen to anymore. I used to be really into the symphonic metal stuff like Nightwish, too, even saw them live, kinda moved onto that. Emilie Autumn is Gothic Industrial, technically, but she's the only indiegothy artist I like. Lights is considered Pop according to Pandora, but I don't really listen to any pop besides her. Kerli calls herself Bubble Goth which isn't even actually a thing outside of Kerli. Imogen Heap is... I don't even know what they would be. oh well
Eternal Edge
Hai my name is Edge and I like most music. The only thing I don't like is most popular music, such as Nicki Minaj and shit like that, lol. My favorite music is probably Metal, though I don't like Death/Black Metal too much. My favorite Metal bands being A7X, Rammstein, Saltatio Mortis and Alestrom. Classic Rock is also up there because hai Billy Joel. I also enjoy some punk rock as well as Disney and musicals in general. I also really like video game remixes, OCRemix has amazing content and The Black Mages are also fantastic. @Ame's question, my favorite song is probably I Won't See You Tonight Part 1 &2, but I really like all of their music. Even the slower stuff which most people seem to dislike.
Yuki
My musical tastes are soooo broaaaad. Pretty much anything other than boast-rap, whatever nicki minaj is, R&B, and electric polka. I'm sure I could find an exception to each of those, but for the most part those are the ones I just can't seem to sit through. What I'm mostly into would be along the lines of Post-Hardcore (Dance Gavin Dance), Indie Rock (P. much the majority of what I've posted in What Are You Listening To?~), Alternative Rock, Alternative Techno, Hardstyle, Alt. Dubstep, the list goes on. For all the "alternatives" in there, I probably sound like a lot more of a hipster than I am >> << But the artist who's touched me most is Emilie Autumn <3 I could relate to her music in a very difficult time in my life, and her lyrics are just too beautiful to be ignored. TheNewEnigma
Hm, I like rap (mainly Sirah and Kanye West), Hyuna Kim and K Pop when I'm feeling girly, many different artists of the EDM genre, skrillex (respect plixxy plox plx), Feed Me, deadmau5, knife party, Ellie Goulding <3, Metric, reel big fish, and the occaisional comedy type of music (avenue Q, rucka rucka ali, weird al)
Summer
> Thinking unknown guy has good grammer > Edited by Hark tablefilp.jpg Not intentionally flaming but still... I personally like music with a positive tune, not those down and depressing rap or rock metal. I've long outgrown them.

Legacy
Ame: I like their old stuff. Unholy Confessions, Chapter Four, I Won't See You Tonight Part 1 & 2. Basically anything off the first two albums. ^^; Truth be told, I like all of their stuff to some degree (barring one or two tracks). But if I wanted to listen to them, I'd go for the Waking the Fallen album without a second thought. Great album.
片思い
ok reborn forums are silly and don't let you put 42 videos in one post so I put them all into a list and insert it into a word doc which I have attached to this post because Ikaru didn't want me to post 21 times also it's not done but it works for now I think the links broke too so have fun copy pasting
The Fush
Uh... is it bad to say that I've only listened to some tidbits of EDM, and that's it? I don't really care much for the genre. I just listen to a piece, and then I give myself my two cents on it. Bam. End The. Edited November 2, 2012 by BeaverRoo
Maelstrom
I've got a lot of range, but I'm pretty picky. For a lot of things, I'll like a song or two by an artist and on occassion I'll like most of an album and a few songs from the artist's other albums I like Pop, Rock, some limited electronic and trance, some select Country, limited rap, just some dubstep so far (wub wub wub wub), and a lot of things that are lumped under Alternative. I like the more active pieces of classical and soundtrack music. Japanese pop and Anime music? Fuck yes. Oldies. Oh yes, I like oldies even though they're before even my time. Anyways, some of the bands and artists that have produced a lot of songs I've liked: Avenged Sevenfold Modest Mouse (Good News for People Who Like Bad News) Pink No Doubt Eric Clapton (Unplugged) Ayumi Hamasaki My Chemical Romance Elton John Nobuo Uematsu Paramore Rob Thomas Ronald Jenkies Santana Skillet Akira Ifukube The Wallflowers One Republic Paramore Wierd Al
Melody
I like all music, Except for repetitiveness in music like raps, Unless it's extremely catchy. Because I've learned to appreciate catchy tunes lol.
