and last but not least, keep in mind, that the first pokemon from the first instance of the game you choose for trading, will get stuck in that game, but will carry over the other one. This means duping of the stuck pokemon and complete loss of the one you offered for that trade.

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding what you are saying (probably am), but it sounds like you are saying that one side of a trade will inevitably fail by trading using this same computer method, which isn't true.  I've traded a full party from a backup to the main file, with both sides getting everything correctly.  It did take some time/coordination, but less than starting an individual trade over and over......

For me, i don't know why or how, it is exactly as i described. I didn't wait lots of time, i saw it wouldn't proceed, so i cancelled the trade, after sending the desired one over the "good" save. But regardless, duping is always better and much appreciated. I can't imagine my pokemon sessions without good old cloning; been at that, ever since the old days!

As long as it works, it's all good; same result either way.  It's very rare that I even keep the other file, so it ends up about the same in the end.   The time of doing both trades is sped up with the speed up button, so it's not all bad.    Maybe it has to do with computer model or maybe just the timing????

I wish I knew duping methods back in Red days........I honestly never stumbled upon Missingo, since I kept surfing to a minimum.  That and only one other kid played Pokemon, so there wasn't a rumor mill I could hear about.
