Joker
Yo, sup!? Xiph here bringing you another RMT, and this one features a team I'm quite proud of. That being said, I hope you enjoy this, and leave some feedback if you want. @ Air Balloon Trait: Iron Fist EVs: 128 Atk / 128 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Stealth Rock - Flamethrower - U-turn - Mach Punch Infernape here is my lead, which is actually quite useful as I'm sure a lot of people know. Basically, he's meant to set up Rocks as soon as the battle starts. However, if I am against a fellow Rocks lead, I will almost always go for U-Turn straight into the next member of this team, which I'll touch on shortly. Flamethrower is for extra coverage and STAB and helps deal with walls like Ferrothorn and Forretress, and Mach Punch is for tight situations, and basically anything that is scarfed. I don't think I have to touch on Air Balloon. @ Leftovers Trait: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd Lax Nature (+Def, -SDef) - Heat Wave - Thunder Wave - Roost - U-turn Xatu here is the next member, and serves as my hazards blocker as well as a nice crippler for those fast pokemon that are common. I'll almost always go into this guy if the lead is a hazard set up pokemon. Thunder Wave is to slow down scarf users as well as anything that is generally fast, Heat Wave is to deal with Steel Types should I need to do that with him, Roost for Recovery, and U-Turn to keep up momentum whilst doing a little damage, great for predicting swicthes, etc. As far as I know, this set is standard, but I felt like explaining it anyway << @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Volt Switch - Rapid Spin - Spikes - Gyro Ball Forretress is my physical wall of the team, and my rapid spinner just in case Xatu is offed early. Spikes for even more hazard damage, and Volt Switch to keep up momentum and deal with things that would trap him otherwise, like Magnezone, Chandelure, etc. Gyro Ball is for STAB and is mostly filler. @ Life Orb Trait: Technician EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Spore - Mach Punch - Bullet Seed Breloom is the muscle of the team, and is usually sent out for late game sweeps, assuming I can get all my hazards up, and no situation requires him to come out sooner. Anyway, this set is standard, not much to say on it. @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Scald - Protect - Wish - Haze Vaporeon was originally meant to be a special sponge, but I changed her to be mixed since she can do it really well, and has the Hp for it too. She's mainly just support via Wish, and helps cripple physical sweepers with Scald. I added Haze to the set because I got sick of set up pokemon, and evasion <<, and it has worked really well so far. Protect is to help her wall even more with Wish support. @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Draco Meteor - Psyshock - Surf - Hidden Power [Fire] Lastly, we have my special attacker, Latios. I'm pretty sure this set is standard, so there isn't really anything to explain. He's meant to do as much damage as possible, and usually gets the job done. With all that said, I hope you enjoyed this little RMT, and feel free to try the team out yourself. Happy battling! Tsuna (Infernape) (M) @ Air Balloon Trait: Iron Fist EVs: 128 Atk / 128 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Stealth Rock - Flamethrower - U-turn - Mach Punch Freed (Xatu) (M) @ Light Clay Trait: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Heat Wave - Thunder Wave - Roost - U-turn Broggy (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Volt Switch - Rapid Spin - Spikes - Gyro Ball Shrooms (Breloom) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Technician EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Spore - Mach Punch - Bullet Seed Sapphire (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Scald - Protect - Wish - Haze Surge (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Draco Meteor - Psyshock - Surf - Hidden Power [Fire]
slant
You have Light Clay on Xatu but no screens, I'd recommend either changing to a dual screens variant, or giving it leftovers. Also I'm not sure what your evs do, Xatu doesn't outspeed much, I think you should instead give it full hp/def evs and a moveset of Psychic/Reflect/Roost/U-turn. Psychic is a nice strong stab, and combined with Reflect, allows Xatu to basically take on any fighting pokemon 1 on 1. Heatwave is really only useful for those 4x weaknesses like Ferrothorn and Forretress. Hope this helps.
