Yuki
Okay so I found this on the internet the other day and I am way beyond interested in learning it. It's an electro-streetdance, and it looks like this: That's someone who's been doing this for a really long time, with lots of experience. That'd be hardstyle shuffle. Some more shufflers :[omitted because I can only post two videos :c youtube "shuffle vs jumpstyle", pick a video, scroll through the related's!] It started in Melbourne and is typically danced to hardhouse, hardtrance, and other EDM genres. I've been watching tutorials online and so far I have down the two most BASIC bits: The Running Man and The V-Step! I didn't learn from that video, but that'll show you what I'm talking about. I think it's wayyyy cool, and I fully intend to practice and learn from videos until I can dance at least half as well as that guy in the first video! Thoughts? Summer
I liek dis. It almost looks like his shoes have no friction at all. Are you gonna wear baggy pants when you do this?

If I get good at it I'm going to get phats (the pants you see that guy wearing) and i'll look soooo proooo. For now though since I'm a total noob I'm wearing like my usual skinnyjeans cuz I need to be able to see my footwork
Kiozo
I've been doing this for a while. I'm by no means good [lol I don't really v-step much if at all] and I usually add in some stuff that's not normally associated with it. Honestly, doing this with friction being the pain it is, is the hardest part. It's really cool though; and I've watched too many vids on it xD Hardstyle <
TheNewEnigma
I occaisionally enjoy doing this type of the Melbourne Shuffle, if it even is a type. Edited November 15, 2012 by TheNewEnigma
Yuki
I occaisionally enjoy doing this type of the Melbourne Shuffle, if it even is a type. That'd be the Running Man, which is a part of it :3 Update on my progress: I can V-Step, Running Man, Kick, Basic Spin, Backstep, and Transition now w/ lil flourishes and tricks. It's still really rough and I don't think I'd be as proud if I were to practice in front of a mirror, but I've got the concept!

Kiozo
Hardstyle is what I'm trying to learn <333 Coolest dirivitive of the dance genre by far Agreed! it's the only version I enjoyed...although now I tend to find myself dancing to other genres of music entirely, yet still shuffling. Summer
Kicking this topic back into overdrive. I'm picking up the shuffle and so far I can do simple things like kicking and spinning ( I can't kick-spin while running though ) Also I tend to just lose balance. The second video Hark posted, helped me a lot. I mean, it probably wouldn't help if you do it faster then the guy inn the video. Just do it like, 3 seconds per move. Will update and possible video when I am master of this style.
Summer
lol i found this and suddenly i can run-walk, but not shuffling standard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3JlY9MJk0o
Rycast
I remember seeing Francis (guy in the first video) shuffle for the first time, it blew my mind and I tried shuffling. Just keep practicing the basic running man and v-step, turn on some 80-140 bpm electro music and go ham when you got it down. Everyone has a different style, it all matters on how you move your feet when you shuffle.
Summer
PERSONAL SELFISH THREAD TAKEOVER UPDATE I can pretty much do Running man on a slow pace, but I can't transition to T-step. Any tips?
