I don't know what Newt could possibly have to gain by outing himself like this so early... but alright that makes things easier for us I guess. I'm in favor of keeping him alive as long as he's not a major threat.

I kinda like Alisae's strategy to cover the cop, but like the others I'm a bit worried it'll turn into a confusing mess. Quinn brings up another good point, not everyone is going to follow it anyway.

@Newt according to epicmafia Cupid chooses their targets on N0. Is that correct in this game?

I have mixed feelings about this strategy. Essentially it's spamming random shit until some of it is actually useful.

I disagree that calling scum will reveal who the cop is instantly. A good town should claim randomly alternating between town and scum reads when trying to claim cop, as that would make it harder for mafia to find out who the real cop is. It would cover them up much better. If these claims are just for show, it will show when someone is pushing for a lynch if it contradicts with their initial cop claim (that is if you can follow all those). Besides, mafia know each other. They don't need our claims to check. It's great that we get all cop's investigative results, but ... as @Quinn said, it needs a lot of people to participate, probably at non-constant intervals.

I am willing to give it a try, but until more townies take part in this, it might not be as effective.

@Alisae since you bring this up now, shouldn't it start from tomorrow? Meaning, all those wanting to claim cop would have to provide 2 finds that day and move on from there?

Um, hey, everyone, what are you doing?

The way town wins is by gaining useful information, you know. If we all spout a bunch of nonsense it's the same as if we all say nothing. No one learns anything. Instead, we ought to figure out who among us is able to provide information and focus our roles on protecting them, don't you think?

If the cop is ultra afraid of dying, they can keep their info to themselves until they've learned a few things, but there are always risks there, too. The mafia probably has an information generating role. They may have a role that kills people who visit them. Those have both happened in previous games I've played. Remember, the mafia is the informed minority. They know who is mafia. They have ways of figuring things out. Sowing confusion will hurt us more than it hurts them. Every time you fake claim you're the cop and a mafia member is town, the mafia member will know you aren't really the cop.

tl;dr, aside from this plan being an utter mess, it plays right into the mafia's hands. If I were mafia I'd have a field day with this.

...Now that I've had time to think on it, I actually agree with Alisae. Having a lock on a mafia member is probably worth the potential issues it could cause.

I'll cast my vote later on, once there's been more debate, but for now:

Spoiler

ah i would just like to say to you Newt, if I was cult i would be targeting you just so you can't achieve your goal and then i'll gonna go yolo and be eliminated in a blaze of glory™

ok serious time before I break my promise of not playing too randomly for this particular game

tbh with you Sae, I neither like nor dislike the idea I just see it as another means to an end. But tbf with you, any means that can reach an end is fine for me irregardless how thorny the path is. as for how far it can go considering with the amount of people in the game... am not sure it'll work on towns favor. That said, I won't do it cuz 1. I did promise no full random stuff. 2. I don't think town would be willing to conform. > but if 2 is false then maybe I will break 1. who knows

as for info rn:

I don't have anything particular to say at this very instance...

Ah I will refer to roles by putting r before it as to not confuse people (e.g rboat: is the sailboat role, rbean is the sosobean role, etc.) Is there any particular reason to know this? i dunno really am just stating it.

>Wants to make new friends, maybe even talk to a Pretty Boy

>Falls on his face and messes up chance to talk to mysterious Pretty Boy

>Another Valentine's Day ruined

Little Endearing is kinda useless in this story, huh

I need to think some more about that idea to really understand it...

But like...

I can't really do that right now. Maybe later today I'll have a different cognition.

My current suspicions fall on Alisae, Eviora, & soso. Also claiming cop and saying Drakyle is town when we all already know he’s town seems like something soso would do as I’ve noticed his playstyle as a Mafia member can be quite irrational many times. As for Alisae and Eviora, both experienced Mafia players creating a whole scheme to make one have a huge plan then another butt heads many messages later seems like something Mafia members may try to do in order to make it seem like they’re not working together.

I am 90% sure soso is not the cop at this moment from my role’s action and soso’s presence. For that I’m going to

Eliminats Sosobean

... pretty sure it wasn't even Soso's intention to make us believe he's the actual cop tbh. He's just messing with us imo, in true bean fashion. Interesting theory about Alisae and Eviora though.

Towncred to Quinn for intelligent contribution. Beancred to Soso for being as random as ever.

I'm kinda wary of the chocolates mechanism. It sounds all cute but we don't know if they're supposed to be entirely positive or if they could have downsides, do we?

@Mafioso Divergent if that's an information we're allowed to have, could you please tell us whether the chocolates can be nefarious?

@Quinn  @Eviora I wouldn't say Eviora comes across as suspicious right now given her post was more a logical point out of how things can go wrong so easily with the idea of randomly saying you are a cop and saying someone is town or not town because only the mafia will know other than the accused if it's true and can narrow down their targets, only way in which this works is if the real cop gave false information in order to throw the mafia off their trail early and then proceed to gain information untargeted as mafia would want the real Cop first...that's what I would do anyhow, risky gamble but hey, in a game like this, risks gotta be taken.

It's true that I could be staging an elaborate act with Alisae to try to make us look opposed to each other. It's also true that Quinn could be accusing me of being involved in a scheme because she's mafia and knows I'm not. At this point, accusing each other over such small things is just saying "talking is suspicious." Regardless, my reasoning for disliking Alisae's plan stand.

Also, I'll accept the chocolate from @Lord Drakyle

Talking about chocolate and giving it away is good and all, but I feel like it has negative side effects depending on the role and other factors. I feel like they could connect two players lives together, but also add good positive effects. It might be pretty worthwhile.

@Alistair The Heartbreakers' do not want to be found out if they give chocolates with evil effects, so everyone gives out chocolates with a good intention. However, the effects may be used differently by people with differing alignments, so it may or may not be dangerous to give a chocolate to the wrong person or accept a chocolate from the wrong person
