For those who continue to hurt Amaria, she may have gone mad in her gym, she saved the MC from Solaris’s Garchomp in the factory with her Kingdra. Titania was wrong when she said Amaria did nothing to stop the Meteors. We destroyed the PULSE-Muk thanks to her after all.

I mean, if we go with how much have the characters suffered Amaria is not even near to be the one in the worst situation, just saying. One thing that bothers me about her is that she clearly receives a special treatment that allows the player to empathize more with her character and to be more aware of her humanity and her suffering. 

Meanwhile you are taking down a child that has to carry the burden of being responsible of her parent's death and that on top on that has been terribly abused for years in an orphanage. Like, of course vote what you want, but if your thinking process to choose what characters are better and what characters are worse is that then I invite you to rethink.

After we saved her from being choked to death by PULSE-Tangrowth. I'd consider us to be even after that.

I just wanted to balance the point ratio with the other characters, nothing more. At this point of the game, there’s no characters I really hate, even ZEL as his story is quite interesting; three personalities merged into one soul, but hey. It seems like Amaria’s finally in a dead end. Too bad

That's rather cruel, don't you think? It's kinda like saying "A starving man deserves no sympathy for stealing food."

 

I mean, she clearly suffers from depression and Titania has been the only one that has been there for her. And further more, Titania put herself in this position with the lie. It's up to her to make things right.

By no means is Amaria exploiting Titania in order to have someone care about her okay, but right now her options are do bad or feel worse. And when all you can see around you is bad, then what is good anymore?

I think this is a false analogy, but in this case I will sympathize for starving. I will understand why they stole food, but won't encourage it.

I could place Titania in the poor man's position, but not Amaria.

 

Amaria is not doing the same thing, because the situation is more complicated and less extreme. 

Titania is placing herself in a self-harming loop that means to provide comfort for Amaria, until she's ready to accept the truth.

She is doing something dishonest for a good purpose. I don't like it, nor encourage it. But I do understand it.

Amaria on the other hand reveals she knows about the fairy tale, even though she has attempted suicide when she "found out" Titania was faking it.

She knew about it, yet continued to lead Titania on the lie thus creating more guilt for the steel lady.

Therefore, this form of deep longlasting manipulation is a worse form of betrayal, which is no way comparable to physical needs that need to be taken care of.

Neither are her actions justified by her emotional turmoil. She is taking advantage of a situation by using her mental status as an excuse towards the players.

And it's clearly working.

 

Sure sometimes she means the general good, but that's also part of her duty. As a leader, she is responsible for the state of the city and the league in general.

When has this been outside of personal gain, I wonder? Thematically the purification of the waters also benefits her, thanks to her typing of choice and training grounds.

When she faces the garden, she's strangled and we save her. It's only natural to want to return the favor afterwards. 

It is not natural though, to leave the rampaging house in a state of ruin, just because you wish to prolong the safety of the fairy tale others have built to protect you.

 

I believe we are better understood now. I get why you want to protect her. I don't encourage it, but I understand it

Ι would encourage it, as long as they weren't stealing from someone who's in the bad side of the coin too and struggling to make ends meet, but that's a personal opinion.

 

@Dragoknight I also think that Titania is too high of herself and thinks that everyone needs her help and that she's stronger than everyone. Amaria is stronger than Titania. That's a fact, level-wise. Also, Titania never encourages Amaria to perform acts to show her how many friends she has and how valuable she is to them. When Amaria wants to help at Calcenon, she says that it's better if Amaria doesn't interfere with them. They both make mistakes in their behaviour. They are both victims of each other. None is less of a victim than the other.

 

Now, to get back on track...

I wanna see Saphira dead equally as much as I wanna see Charlotte dead. This is tough.

Also, upvoting Samson, cause the male characters of Reborn need some love. There are hardly any positive male characters in this game (that aren't gay, kids or half-involved with criminal organisations that is). Let's cherish the ones we have

To be fair her asking her not to fear is likely out of fear of her getting injured again; she's still recovering from the SUPAHPOWAH from Solaris' Tyranitar when you meet her in Episode 12/13; it's a good call to make, the last two times she went to go deal with meteors, she got restrained immediately once and almost killed both times. She's barely stronger too; for most of their Pokemon and even their ace, it's only a single level in difference.
