Day Five

The night crept slowly, inching by minute by minute, making it seem that the night would last for an eternity. The townspeople were insecure. They were confused on whom they should trust and whom they should not. Some others were more knowledgeable than others, but most of those who were knowledgeable were the two remaining mafia goons, making their plans in the night to secure their hold on the own.

They had reached a decision to take the life of another townsperson who might be a threat to their built up plans and they decided it was imminent to target Venus. One of the mafia goons thought it best to confront Venus in the dead of night.

Venus' house was silent, yet eerie at the same time. It carried a mysterious air about it, seemingly ominous and deadly, but the mafia goon feared nothing of the sort and he traversed the house with no fear until he found Venus' study. He was studying and making notes about everything that had happened. 

"My, my, those are lovely notes if I have to say," the mafia goon said. "A shame that it's never gonna see the light of day."

Before Venus could react, he was shot in the back of the head by the rifle the mafia goon had brought.

Venus was killed. He was a Town Cop.

It is now LyLo - Lynch or You Lose. Fail to lynch Mafia today and town loses automatically.

I know for certain that Paul and I are innocent, whereas Jonny is either innocent or he has the most amazing scumgame I've ever seen in a new player.

Alistair i don't really understand why you're voting me honestly. I trusted you last day thinking that you're innocent, but now i have some suspect about you. How we can be so sure that you and Paul are townies? I know, i can't prove that i'm innocent that's true, but please trust my words guys. I'm not mafia, i'm only a doctor where i have already used my ability.

Honestly i want to hear what Jonny have to say about this.

@LykosHand I'm 100% confirmed townie as you know that I never lied about my role and claims [so far] . And as for the Ali, since he has an investigation report regarding me, we can count on him.

Corso, Lykos or Jonny might be the remaining scums.

How is it possible that everyone is innocent here xD?

Well it's simple, I'm voting for you because there aren't many options left. As I said, I know that Paul and I are innocent, and although I can obviously not prove this assertion with anything other than my word that I'm a N2 cop and used this ability to check Paul, I'm still not going to ignore that when picking whom to lynch.

That leaves Jonny, Corso and you. Jonny has been contributing a lot and drawing attention to him basically all the time, so I don't think he's mafia unless he's the gutsiest maf ever. That leaves you and Corso. Between you 2, it's pretty much a coinflip as far as I'm concerned, since given your respective contributions, both of you could very well be either maf or clean.

 

If you're not mafia @LykosHand, then who is in your opinion? If you give us our reads on everyone left, that could help us make the right decision.

Why now everyone is voting me? I have said the truth, i'm not lying at all, i don't really understand this situation. Paul i haven't lied about my role and about my NA. Like i said i protected walpurgis where she ended up as a town. I was the only one that didn't voted on her, and i can't understand why you suspect me. 

Honestly i have some suspect about Jonny, since he started the bw on walpurgis iirc.

@Alistair Ok i can understand, but the thing that i don't understand is that you voted walpurgis following what Jonny said. It's really strange since i know that often you make your theories about everyone, and it's really strange at my eyes. It's only my opinion btw. 

For me the last mafs are Jonny and Corso. I believe that Jonny is fooling us, so honestly i think that i will vote him.

I don't think that Ali is trying to take advantage of my honesty and is one of the remaining scum though. But thoughts often turn out to be opposite for me. :/

That'd teach me a lesson, If it comes up true sooner or later at least.

The thing is, you didn't have to join the walpurgis bw, because there were enough votes against her already.

 

The safest course of action, if we theorize that you're mafia, was for you to stay away from the walpurgis vote. You had knowledge that she was an innocent townie getting lynched, and you didn't need to add your vote for her to the pile for her to actually get lynched. Why doing that? That would only have made you more suspicious. By picking another, random vote, you were able to not put yourself under the spotlight, and carry on relatively unsuspected. Walpurgis herself was suspecting you though, which is something worth noting since she turned out to be innocent.

 

Oooor, if you're innocent, then congrats you were able to successfully determine walpurgis' alignment, and therefore didn't vote for her because you knew it was a bad idea. But in that case maybe you should have defended her more adamantly... Now we have no choice but to lynch scum, otherwise we're doomed.

 

Last thing of interest, it appears we agree on one thing, and that is, @Corso may be one of the last mafs. I'm curious to know what his answer is, what his suspicions are, and whom we should vote according to him.

if i have to be honest, i didn't vote for walpurgis because i said that for me she was innocent, not because there were too many votes on her. As i wrote, i had decided to follow my theories and apparently for the first time seem to be right.

I agree that i had to defend walpurgis better, there's no doubt about it. But without proof and only with theories in my hands, how could i make you change your mind while you all followed what Jonny said? I simply couldn't, at least from what i saw you all seemed to be convinced that walpurgis was mafia, so i let it go. I regret having made that choice anyway. 
Alistair, she said this sentence last day: "I'm starting to believe that lykos might not be mafia after all". I swear i'm not mafia, i'm sure Jonny is, but i have no proof about that.

I'm convinced that Jonny is one of the remaining mafia and i'm curious too to know what Corso has to say about it.

Things are getting more serious than they were before.....

Idk, I think the remaining Mafias have converted themselves into pure townies and are trying to side with us and then kill us chronologically. Neither can I suspect anyone to be the Mafia atm but....

I don't believe that everyone is innocent town. Contradiction is everywhere omg.... :/

The only piece of information we have to make a decision is that Ali said that Paul is innocent; however, I've been fooled bu facts and axioms many times in mafia games, so I won't blindly trust them anymore. I think the plan (I don't remember who made it) was to check every cop claim, but it's not possible now as the mafia killed Venus. I see 3 possibilities:

Ali and Paul are both town, that leaves Jonny and Lykos as mafia (because I'm sure I'm town), but I can't find Jonny suspicious (or he's some kind of mafia genius);

Ali is mafia and said that Paul is town to gain our trust, and (assuming Jonny's town), Lykos would be the last mafia;

Ali and Paul are both mafia, not much to say here.

The 2nd and 3rd options are statistically less likely, however a lot of times percentages tricked me and made me lose games, so I won't trust them this time. But just to be sure, I'll go for the player these two possibiities have in common:

Besides, Ali said something yesterday, he basically left the decision to the other players; I don't think this is something the usual Ali would do. And this adds to my unconscious scumreading of him (which started even before replacing Martin).

"I'm pretty sure LykosHand and Corso are the mafia!" Alistair said. "splargle's been a townread for me and I know Paul is innocent, so they're guilty!"

"No way. I'm innocent, Ali!" LykosHand replied. "Trust me, please. I think splargle and Corso are the mafia, but I think we should vote splargle instead."

"Okay." Paul25 replied as he followed the conversation. "I'm fine with that."

"Objections! I think Alistair is the real mafia here!" Corso interjected.

Later on, splargle said, "I have so much to say, but for now I condemn Alistair."

"I still think Lykos is mafia!" Alistair said.

But the day ended with the town being split into different groups. Divided against two stands, neither of them the correct one. Unfortunately, the only correct one was the one unsupported by the other two town members.

Alistair and Splargle tied for votes. No one is lynched.

Epilogue

The reckoning was coming. Dark clouds covered the night sky, blocking out the light coming from the moon and the stars. Although there weren't any casualties caused in the day, neither were there any progress on finding the last two mafia goons, who had infiltrated the town with Anti_Hero. The end was coming soon. The townspeople could feel it. All of the Doctors had either died or exhausted their ability while most of the Cops had either left, unable to do any investigations or died, taking the evidence to someone's guilt with them to the grave.

The last Cop sat in his room. Nothing mattered knew. Whether he investigated someone or not, nothing was going to change. They would all die for the mistakes they had made in the past few days. He sat in his room quietly until the window to his room opened.

"So, you've come." Paul said. "The Grim Reaper, Bringer of Death is the image I think of in this scene. I am ready for my fate."

"Well, then." The mafia goon replied. "Goodbye."

He took the gun and shot Paul in the forehead.

It was all coming to an end in the next day.

Alistair, Corso, splargle, and LykosHand gathered in the town plaza. All of them had grim expressions, knowing that the time for peace would cease to exist indefinitely. Two of them were grinning in secret, however, awate that they were the cause to all this discord and that they had succeeded.

Alistair's tears slowly fell to the ground. "I- I wanted to protect this town, to keep it safe and peaceful for as long as I were alive, b- but wrong choices led us here. I can't fathom how the town of Serenity would look like from the days to come. Jonny, I told you that Lykos and Corso were the mafia, and I know, even without them saying, it was true. I- I feel sad that I couldn't fight enough to encourage their execution."

LykosHand smiled. "Yes, you're right, Ali. Thanks for not taking us out when you could have ^^"

Corso continued. "Let the days of the apocalypse begin!"

"AAAAAHHHHHHHH!" splargle screamed. "I can't bear this."

And he ran away, but a shot to the chest reached him before he could do anything, and he crumpled to the ground and fell, bleeding until he ran out of blood to bleed.

Alistair looked at the two mafia. "I hope you die soon. Alas, it is finished."

Before they could react, he took in the effects of the poison he had ingested earlier. He was not going to die by their own terms; he'd rather die by his own hands and circumstances.

Corso and LykosHand smiled at their success. It had been a long struggle, one where they even had to sacrifice the life of one of their allies, but it was worth the effort and all the pain, for success was their own.

"Let's raze this town and begin our conquest for chaos throughout this land!"

Paul25 was killed. He was a Town Cop.

Alistair was endgamed. He was a Town Cop.

splargle was endgamed. He was a Town Doctor.

LykosHand, Corso, and Anti_Hero have won the game. Congratulations!

LykosHand in this MVP. Although he has been suspicious in some of his actions, he has evaded being lynched due to the good choice of night kills to the cops who had investigated him on the same night (Newt and Venus) while also playing the innocent card well in terms of the reasons for his actions.
