without hurting or healing, can we just appreciate how well Mega Glalie was made from Glalie? It didn't fix all its problems but it's probably one of the best in terms of fixing a weaker mon.

Refrigerate boosted STAB Explosion. 'Nuff said.

 

Although I'd argue that Lopunny is the best example of fixing a weaker 'mon with a mega.

 

Glalie went from being rather useless in PU to having a decent role in RU as setting up spikes and blowing up in your face for MASSIVE DAMAGE!!!

Lopunny went from being useless in the same tier (PU), to being a beast in OU. Its ability complements it perfectly, giving it perfect coverage with its STAB moves.

Plus I kinda find Mega Glalie ugly (its mega just made it uglier) while Lopunny looks nice in both forms.

Glalie was a vanilla pokemon with 80 all over its stats. It had no role, no purpose, the worst possible typing, and limited movepool.

The mega helped stat-wise and ability-wise. Didn't improve the movepool, but it was actually used in teams.

Lopunny, and Pidgeot to some extend, had their roles in a team. if someone were to work hard enough, they would fit them in a NU team.

Beedrill is another example of a useless mon that got boosted. yet again, it can have a niche role thanks to its movepool. Glalie couldn't.

Well i like Swamperts-Line, excluding his Mega Evolution. It looks ridiculious and heinous. Even if it's strong it's an Abomination.

I never liked Blaziken to begin with. Not even his preevolution Torchic.
