a recent interview with Nintendo on IGN states that X and Y will not have have DLC

Gamefreak thinks Limited time offers and supposed sequels are a better route to distribute added on content...

Sigh :/

Receiving my Y on monday as it was sent today (and post doesn't bring stuff during weekend). Why Y? Well Cloyster, Heracross and Dragalge win over X exclusives as I have never really liked Charizard and am still kinda skeptic about mega evolutions (nevertheless I am going to have some Mega Evolution, most likely Gengar).

Also am I only one who thinks Yveltal>Xerneas?

I'll take a dark wyvern over a crystal coloured sawsbuck-arceus any day.

Glad I'm not the only one who see the resemblance. lol

I'm also sticking with Y Version. I mean... Y bother getting X anyway? *shot*

I also noticed that Houndoom's Mega Stone is exclusive to Y, while the Pokemon is exclusive to X. While Manectric is exclusive to Y, but the Mega Stone is exclusive to X. Classic Gamefreak.

Serebii made it splash again. This one is gonna be a shocker and this is also confirmed.

Megascizor

As for the others. The designs are okay. But that Alakazam one is deserved. As if he didn't already claim the title of best bearded pokemon.

Well, there is a guy in the game that mentioned that there was an item that let you change a pokemon's ability. Godot was thinking it was referring to how mega stones usually mean ability changes to go with the mega evolution

well, looking at the discovery thread in the serebi forums I spied this:

Ability Capsule (Costs 200BP): Switches between the Primary and Secondary abilities on the Pokémon

I was wondering why storm throw completely decimated my pidgeotto, the base attack changed from 40 to 60. So its a move that crits (read as ignore atk debuffs and foe defense) for a consistent 120 power attack. Feather Dance ain't doing shit to stop that.

Frost Breath got the same boost, btw. "Knock knock stall-walls: I'm coming in anyhow!"

Didn't realize water shuriken was a priority attack, which explains the 15 bp instead of 25 or something decent.

Pledges got power boost from 50-80 so expect those in double and triple battles. *imagines DroughtZard with Chlorosaur using grass and fire pledges together to devastate the shit out of everything*

BTW, I noticed some things like Rototiller on Dugtrio- boosts the atk and spc atk of grass types. not sure how that works, but I'm guess it works a lot like water and mud sport. There was another move that boosted their defenses I think, but that isn't one of dugtrio's moves.

Sticky web- field hazard that slows pokemon switching in. F yeah. I just don't know which pokemon can learn that yet.

Spiky shield- Protect, but deals damage to anyone who tried to use a physical contact attack

Mat Block- Shield for all teammates, regardless of priority or wide attacks, but does not stop status moves.

Crafty Shield- reverse of mat block.

King's Shield- protect, sharply lowers attack of anybody that tried to make direct contact. FU ExSpd Arceus, Conkeldurp, edward Scizor-hands, Dragon Dancers, and really anybody with physical attacks. My question is.... who the hell learns that? My guess is excavalier but idk.

Boom Burst- 140 bp in a world where a lot of shit got nerfed into proper balance (at least I think so). OP, I want a Noivern now. Can Hydreigon learn it via heartscale/breeding?

Also note that Draco Meteor was busted down to 130 bp, is less accurate, has half the pp, and greatly reduces spcAtk after use. WTF GF? (Draco Meteor is only more boss if Malamar is on your side)

Geomancy- "Fuck that shit, I give up." Put in on a BP smeargle my friends, and that's all you will ever hear from your battles. Do it before it becomes banned. Obligatory Malamar counter on every team gogo.

Ion Deluge- turns normal type attacks into electric type attacks. Hopefully a pokemon with volt absorb and similar abilities can learn it so they can troll things like snorlax and Extreme Speed Arceus. Cuz fuck that arceus guy.

Power Up punch- like rock smash, but better. Would have been a lot more relevant earlier in the storyline. Like, BEFORE I got my hands on Swords Dance.

Did I mention that Godot and I proved that Tyrantrum can learn DD through breeding?

Phantom Force- non-uber version of shadowforce that works like fly but ignores protecting moves. Lots of wall breaking this gen.

No shit, I can hardly wait for Dec 27 to come around so I import all my old poke's and see what they can learn with a heart scale.

*plots to mug ever luvdisc ever spawned in Kalos waters in the meantime*

Anybody else have any brilliant ideas or noticed other cool stuff?

According to Kotaku and various other sources, there are three new Event Legendaries in the files of X and Y. While I find this completely biblical due to how hard it must be to hack a 3DS, the pictures look very much real. Also, more files show of a possible Latios/Latias Mega evolution and the encounter of the original fairy Legendary, Mew. Of course, this is a leak so take it with a grain of salt.

But Mew was never called a fairy...ever. Why is there any reason to expect it being a fairy? And the guy hacking Mew was just him spawning Pokémon 151 to get it to appear, like he did with the event legends [when he went further he got a bad egg]. So I don't think that there's a Mew event coded into the game or anything. If this isn't all just a hoax.

Hidden legends that are small cute and have all around base 100 stats are refered to as fairies...

This consists of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Victini, and potenttially Damancie or Hoopa

Anyone wanna post that official pic of Pokemon #719?

Still waiting on my turtle wolf with jewel encrusted cannons to become available.

Edit: Daincie is a rock/fairy Pokemon that gives birth to diamonds. It shields itself with diamonds in battle. Daincie will appear in the next Pokemon movie along side Yvetal, Xerneas, and 12 Megas.

There is no official distribution date yet, inb4 Ame squees.
