Aurorix
So recently I've been really craving to play some D&D and my current party isn't satisfying the hunger for it. Plus other reasons Therefore I've come to ask y'all if anyone has the time and interest to form a D&D group. I was hoping it to be a voice chat D&D, that's why I was hoping for it to be hosted on Roll 20. Also, I was thinking about having it starting at 5 or 6 PST (UTC -8) on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. As for a DM, we could decide that once enough people show interest. and I don't think I could be a good one on the fly, plus I feel I'm still kinda a noob at this xD As for which edition we use, I would prefer 5th edition, however, I suppose I could try 3.5 or Pathfinder. I believe that should be all the essentials, If enough people show interest I'll start a discord and we can discuss the specifics there. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Twinwolf
How long would sessions tend to be? How strict is that time (since assuming you mean PM, that's around 8-9 PM for me which is rather late)? I have precisely jack shit experience DMing DnD, although I've run other games on roll20 with some success in the past.
Yours Truly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDnu0tplwcw Yes pls, but I am a shit GM tho if any of the games I have run are any indication.
Aurorix
@Twinwolf As for the length of the session, maybe 4-6 hours. Enough for everyone to feel satisfied about what they did each time. As for the time, I'm sure we can tweak it a bit so fit can fit into everyone's schedule. I mean I'm free all day on week ends and as soon as 4 PM on Friday
Twinwolf
Yeah, I tend to go to bed at 11 and due to living with people on the same schedule whom I'd rather not keep up, that's a rather inflexible end point. I could start as early as 5:00 PM (I believe that's 2:00 PM to you) on most Fridays and am significantly more open on weekends.
Global Mods Dreamy Posted April 8, 2018 Global Mods Share Posted April 8, 2018 Hmm not sure how much free time I'll have with Uni, but I'd be reasonably interested in being a player in either 3.5 or 5e. the timing should be alright for me for either the friday or saturday slot outlined in the main post (as that's saturday/sunday after lunch for me)
Unlurking Sentinel
I'm interested in this proposition. The current times would work for me if it's on friday afternoons. I have no experience with DMing, but I'm willing to learn how if nobody else will step forward. I don't really like voice chat, however, so if a text-only game wouldn't be too fun, then you don't need me with you to hold you down.
Aurorix
Well, I decided to set up a discord for people interested. https://discord.gg/mk67YF I'll put this in the OP. As for text chat, I've tried D&D with a text chat and it never really had the same feeling as with voice chat.
