Hey, just melee inspired me to pick the hype king: Captain Falcon as a possible sub-main since luigi can handle the heavy to mid weights while falcon do the lightweights (I am looking at you pacman.)

You might have it the other way around. Captain Falcon beats heavyweights not named King Dedede to a pulp.

Bowser's alright. He's right around the middle, maybe just below that (similar to Falco, Link and Lucina).

He gets messed up hard by combo-oriented characters, especially Captain Falcon and Ryu as he can not kill them easy, and they always hit him hard enough that his Tough Guy passive is useless in all capacities.

Ask any questions about Bowser and Godot or Washman can probably answer them, otherwise I'll direct them at the local Bowser player (Prof. Shiro).

Bowser can't keep up with certain really dodge-y characters. This can be super pokey characters like Shiek or Greninja, Ground Dodge-y characters like Little Mac or Sonic, or air dodge-y characters like Jigglypuff or Peach. He also cannot deal with projectiles will, Like Spammy types like Samus or Megaman, Campy Types like Zelda or Villager, or set up characters like Rosalina or DHD. He also struggles against people with weapons. This can range from faster lighter sword wielders like Lucina or Metaknight, to heavier weapon users like Ike and DDD. He is also terrible Combo fodder. So characters like Falcon and Fox have a holiday with him. He has a bad match up against majority of the roster, and since tier lists are based around Match ups rather than power levels, he is pretty bad over all. Despite being able to beat the crap out of anyone who is surprisingly not in any of those categories.

So big heavyweights in general is bowser mu favor? Except kd3.

No, against DK, Charizard, and Ganon its 50/50 or 55/45 or something like that. DK has combos, Ganon has Side B bullshit, and Charizard has his Rock. Out of the three I would say he is mostly even with Ganon. Even though Bowser is technically one of the worst, people can still kick ass with him. It's just really really hard and takes a lot of skill and effort to win with him consistently. I have no clue how practical the Mii gunner or swordsman is, but Zelda and Samus have fewer bad match ups than Bowser does.

Not bad, dude!

Also Ganon should beat Bowser 55-45 maybe 60-40. If Bowser misses one tech off flame choke, he will probably get combo'd until he is offstage, then promptly gimped, having a poor offstage game (whereas Ganon is one of the best edgeguarders in the game). Bowser's kill moves are also laggy af and Ganon has numerous ways to punish them (including Bowser's F-Smash, D-Air and Bowser Bomb all begging for him to be Warlock Punched).

For Bowser to win, he has to use his speed advantage and assert dominance early, and most importantly not make unreasonable commitments - Fire breath helps a lot with this.

And his whirling fortress. Bowser can pressure Ganon and approuch Ganon in ways Ganon can't. Bowser is only at the disadvantage when Flame Choked. I would also strongly disagree with the "being one of the best edge guard game" comment.

I take this from one of the Smash skype groups:

when facing ganondorf one of the biggest problems we have against him is when we're offstage in negative state. he's one of the best characters in the game when it comes to edge guards, although his are not as braindead as pikachu or villager. if you get hit by anything, you're probably dead. ganon's u-air is probably the best move for this due to the horizontal knockback, low startlag and the tipman spike, b-air comes out extremely fast for a disjointed hitbox, f-air hits super hard, n-air is fast and has great re
ach, and d-air is transcendent meaning it can potentially beat out any of our moves. countering does not work either against a smart ganon, since he will just empty jump and let you fall out of range to up-b back, not to mention he can hit through it.

As good as he is at edgeguards though, they are also his weakness. So they require him to not mess up, but they are some of the game's best this time around.

Link is also very good, which is why I keep losing to tack...

Well... That was an okay match, but that Ganon did a lot of things wrong and your falcon could use some more work. For one, I wouldn't recommend Side-B to ledge. It has less distance and can easily be punished by a well placed stomp from above. Instead you should risk going low and go for up-b as Falcon is good at stage spiking most who try to challenge it. Also, don't go for hard reads on down throw at low percents. Just go for D-throw U-Air and you can put on a lot of damage. Also don't forget about jab and dash attack. I usually go for those and grabs. The only time to throw out a smash attack is when you know you're going to hit them with it. Don't use unsafe smash attacks with Falcon as he's generally easy to punish. Aerial game is fine for the most part, just don't spam knee as it can be rather predictable at times. I'd also recommend using Down Tilt a lot more as it has good reach and great knock back at high percent.

That's all I've really got to say, and this is coming from someone who side mains Falcon.
