A balance patch? Color me surprised; I thought they were done. But anyway...

Tfw I become and Cloud main and Cloud gets nerfed right after... Also, no Bayonetta changes found yet, which is kind of surprising. I do think she needs a bit more time to be figured out before anything can be determined for sure though.

Ahahahaha. Corrin got nerfed hard. That is really going to hurt those bandwagon players...especially the ground speed nerf. That affects Corrin's lone hope of punishing shield. Of course the UAir nerf also makes a difference not being able to kill so early. His descent into the madness of lower tiers begins now.

Ganon buffs are bae. With the changes to Jab he gains an out-of-shield option, something he lacked outside of customs. Wizkick damage buff means the return of the Ganon Train as Mario players have been dying at 100 to it.

Samus players are very thankful for this patch. Not for buffs (okay, those may have helped), but for hitbox fixes that address major problems she had with ground attacks, such as blindspots. Screw attack is improved as well.

Mewtwo buffs are nice. People wanted him to have extra weight for the longest time and they finally got it. Extra ground speed is also great; it serves a great purpose for juggles, tech chases, and pivots. BAir buffs too? Awesome.

Fun thing. Mewtwo's ground speed is just fast as shiek now.

Also shiek nerfs and zelda buffs. Funny.

Holy Shit... some of these numbers to the character changes. They aren't simple tweaks like in previous patches moving things like 1-2 frames or percents.... these are huge numbers!

Not all of these characters are even low tier or top tier. Some are considered Mid Tier or in the Top 15. The buffs that shock me the most are Bowser's, Mewtwo's, and Charizard's.

They made Bowser Faster in the air and heavier?!? He was absurdly heavy as it is, and now that he is better in the air, his RRB is going to be even better. And following up with his up throw combos will be even smoother...

Charizard's air speed and weight being buffed makes him harder to kill, gives him more reason to spam well timed Flare Blitzes, and approach from the air a lot more efficiently. Also holy mother fuck, His Fair and Bair have 9 frames of less landing lag... That is almost a tenth of a second... that is... wow...

Mewtwo got another movement speed buff? and a Weight Buff? And they gave him a .7 unite larger hitbox on his nair? And they made his Up Smash harder to punish? Mael is going to be a lot less enjoyable to play against =/

On a positive note, they fixed Corrin's bullshit issues, gave Shiek holy shit level nerfs making her potentially not the "tip top" character, and they buffed Samus considerably... finally, though not enough >>

Edit: They also gave Zelda a Hoo-Hah people just found out... Well...

Oh hey, more buffs, Samus grabs 6 frames faster. And Flare Blitz Kills 6 percent earlier and has more hitboxes added on top of it making it harder to dodge. They also added a second hitbox two it after it lands.

Zelda probably was the big winner this patch. Grab combos, improved overall frame data, and more damage which in Zelda's case equates to more early kill options. She is going to hurt now.

EDIT: Fuck, nevermind. Ganon just keeps getting buffs.

after more bayo testing, its safe to say witch time got gutted, its way less lenient then it was before on getting the zero-death out of it, and they might have changed the upthrow angle a bit, its hard to combo witch twist out of it at mid percents

I'm so upset that Shulk and Jigglypuff didn't get buffs, but I'm happy that Zelda and Samus are better now.

Top tier nerfs are ok tbh, but I'd rather have every character be top tier rather than bring top tier to mid tier.

Let's not forget... Mewtwo, Charizard, and Greninja got buffed. Truly, this is the year of Pokemon. (Sadly, no buffs or anything for Villager and Roy... I think I'll give up on Cloud and Corrin though, since they got nerfed so badly)

Cloud is still pretty good. He needed a nerf really. He made doubles meta unbalanced as fuck.

Corrin got nerfed, but not that bad kinda.
