SoraBell
I'm aware that it's not even in the files for the game, do you think it will be implemented eventually, greninja is a fan favorite so having this form would be an especially fun way to play the game. though i do think if it would be implemented, it'll be too late to really have fun with it since we only have 8 badges left before we're done. if blaze gets SB, give ninja his BB pls

Both Ame and Jan dislike it and think it would be out of place, since it's specifically Ash-Greninja..........and Ash isn't involved in the games at all. It doesn't even make sense in the canon games, since Ash isn't there to evolve it.
SoraBell
I understand why, I don't think that's a good reason since it's still a canon Pokémon form but I do get it.
Lord Drakyle
If they were to add it and wanted it canon to their game story they would need a separate version of 'Ash-Greninja' renamed and resprited to fit each of their character models so that greninja would represent you, Reborn-Greninja or something like that, I mean lets be real in reborn that X on the battle bond greninja's back could be made into the 4 key colours, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Amethyst
SoraBell
I wasn't aware that it needed to be canon to the story, our Pokémon that we have don't ever play any sort of role. Our starter only matters for like 5 mins then our Pokémon never act in such a way that they are a plot device like mimikyu or a character like braixen. So needing it to be canon is odd Alternatively they can use it as a chance to buff the less than desirable starters by giving them unique forms. A fire fairy typhlosion or a water fighting feraligatr Battle bond form would really help the SOME starters I feel perform the worse in the games. Meganimum, I don't even know what they could do here Edited April 14, 2018 by SoraBell

So needing it to be canon is odd If the Greninja in S/M didn't mention Ash and be specifically modeled after Ash, no one would have a problem with. Change up the design and the name, no one would say a thing about it---aside from general complaints on it alone getting something slightly more powerful than a mega evolution whereas another stater didn't. There's overlooking something and then there's something that shoves it's out-of-place nature in your face. A-Greninja does the latter in everything but the anime. @SoraBell Edit for your second comment. Rejuv might do that, if given the time, but Reborn is trying to stick mostly to canon mons for the player. In Insurgence, Fairy/Grass Meganium was decent
SoraBell
I think as far as mechanics, insurgence is more ambitious then Rejuv and Reborn. The latter 2 games use field effects and disadvantages to really hit home it's difficulty. Insurgence had unique Pokémon sprites and types made which I think was a cooler way. Though rejuvenation is my fav fan game. I do think they could afford to get creative with the pkmn instead of just having annoying field effects and unique dimensionsal pkmn. WLL has that weavile with the psychic dark typing

WLL has that weavile with the psychic dark typing Too bad Insurgence has worse writing, a ton of bugs that still aren't fixed, over-reliance on Legendaries for difficulty, and an overly strict community, since the Delta mons were great. I'm not sure if "mechanics" is the word you are looking for, since the field effects count as purely mechanics.......delta mons are more general "original content", at least imo. Insurgence introduced a enormous amount of very well crafted mons, while keeping most of the same formula and general game mechanics as canon; Reborn (and later Rejuv) mostly have kept the canon mons (with some additional enemy-only forms that work like Megas) while revamping the formula and later the game mechanics (with field effects). They both just were ambitious in different areas and excel in those areas. I do wish Jan would branch out into some more original content by the end (and let it be available to to the player), even though it wouldn't be as many as Insurgence. Still, maybe someone can convince Jan to make a general mega-esque evo for Greninja. We've still got time

Autumn Zephyr
Lycandusk isn't designed to scream 'Ash', though its reveal did coincide with Ash getting his in the anime. Its design is very much a fusion of the other two forms with a slightly different color scheme, and... that's it. Honestly, the only hard part about getting it in would be coding a fourth Ability to rockruff, though I don't imagine that that's really all that troubling to do with Pokemon Essentials (though I am pretty ignorant of what that actually entails, so I could be wrong there). The fact that it is generally considered mechanically better than lycanday might be the major motivating factor for delaying its release in Reborn and Rejuvenation, of course. Tough Claws is a pretty solid Ability, after all!

At least be happy that Budew exists, lol... Don't ask me why, though. Edited April 14, 2018 by Kenneth
