After beating Shelly i just realized how useless this thing is since it didnt put much of a fight. Can someone think of something to replace this preferably something that works well with my contrary serperior.

-dragon pulse

Talonflame + Gale Wings + Acrobatics = Win

The thing is that it’s cheaper to get acrobatics with Fletchling at level 39, then make him evolve and decrease his level with common candies.

 

EDIT: I just noticed that you’ve already beat Shelly, woops.

well after shelly you can get a few fire type. Pyroar(if u can kill klinklang which is likely), Rk9(from completing police office side quest), Rapidash(if u join aqua gang), Houndoom(if u join magma gang), Camerupt(from numel event during rainy days in peridot), Magcargo(from arcade), Volcarona(from mystery egg event), Ninetales(from mystery egg event) and Talonflame(fletchling can be caught morning/day at grass patch outside corey gym). Think that is all the fire type u can get so far. think u can still get houndour even if u dont join magma gang but u will have to catch it. Turtanator/Heatmor is based on luck u might not get any of them so not putting their sets. Chanderlure,Darmanitan,Emboar and Typhlosion are available around mid game.Late game u get Charizard, Ninetales(if u dont get mystery egg vulpix), Magmortar, Salazzle ,Torkoal, Infernape, Incineroar and Delphox. Personally i prefer duo type pokemon as u get more coverage/STAB. My choices for fire type would be Emboar/Darmanitan as physical fire atker and Chandalure/Camerupt for special. Camerupt is kinda weird it can be physical can be special and mixed.Anyways Ev spread,recommended nature and ability for fire types in mid and early game are in the spoiler tag below, No point of me putting the late game fire types because you get them too late.

As for other recommendations well grass is weak to a whole bunch of things, bug/fire/ice/poison/flying experiencing it first hand by doing a grass mono run for fun  four of the types which grass is weak to is weak to rock so a rock type would be a good addition to you team. Archeops is a solid option cause it is a decent physical atker which is also fast and has access to acrobatics and a wide variety of level up moves. i would not put magcargo cause his movepool is meh and the only special atk rock type  move it learn is Ancientpower. Golem and A.Golem are decent rock types  which work well in trick room. Sudowoodo is another rock type u can consider cause study counter gimmick is very very useful for hard bosses(ditoarceus/solaris Garchomp). Lycanroc both forms are good too but u get them very late, you can get them tru mystery egg event if u lucky. Gigalith is another good rock type but u get it about the same time as Archen so Archen is a way better option. Aggron is decent rock type which kills fairy and have sturdy and good it trick room. before u get Archeops i guess golem is a decent sub unless you have lycanroc as the mystery egg.  Ev spread,recommended nature and ability for all these Rock types in the spoiler tag below:

TLDR: get a rock type to cover grass weakness to ice,fire,bug and flying. Acheops is the best. Acheops FTW.  Duo typing is recommended as u get more coverage vs all the different types.
