As I continue to make the game, my skills improve and I see many (Huge) flaws with maps and events, so I go back and apply what I've learned. During a game's dev life, locations are altered all the time. But usually you never see those because those types of games aren't episodic. And since this is my first game ever, it's going to have some rough edges that need polishing. Can't say I disagree with this, but advice that has to be said again and again to young, ambitious creators is to not let your ambitions overcome you. It is better to have a finished game with some poor mapping than an unfinished game with fantastic mapping. That is one of the biggest reason why things fail or never get finished. While I do poke fun about how some maps look a big jagged or unclean, I wouldn't complain if it was the final product. ANYWAYS This time, the first thing we're covering are some upgrades to the sprites for the player characters. All of the protagonists that got a design overhaul in V10 have received a slight cosmetic upgrade to their backsprites! This is to make sure they're consistent in quality compared to the other backsprites that received an upgrade last week. I also actually forgot to upgrade Keta's backsprites last time (he actually has a complete sprite sheet in comparison to the rest -- so I didn't see his in the graphics folder at first. big oops), so his is included as well in this list. (i forget how many times ive replayed the game its just that good imo) just to use those sprites as i normally pick the first 2 options depending on my gender choice (i dont choose non-binary/other, always boy/girl.................. not to say i have any issues with people of that variety as i have good friends/family who are that way but thats besides the point) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Both received a pretty significant upgrade in their designs, though Alain's a little bit more drastic in terms of color scheme and look compared to Aero. You'll be able to pick any of the protagonist's designs regardless of whether you pick to play as a male, female or nonbinary protagonist!
