Replacing a save file but its not working?

So im trying to replace my current save file with a friend's but whenever i start up the game my old save file is there? I deleted the old game.rxdata file and replaced it with a new one but it didnt work for some reason. Can anyone tell me why and give me a fix?

did you change the name of the new save file to game.rxdata?

The name of the save file was already game.rxdata when i received it from my friend.

huh. well, if you replaced the file I don't see what could be wrong...

Savefiles are located either here:

 

Cdrive/users/yourname/savedgames/Pokemon Reborn 

 

Or directly in the Pokemon Reborn game folder, check where yours is located and put the new savefile there.

That's not the problem. I'm doing a playthrough with a friend and we exchange the save numerous times. With the game.rxdata you need also the previous save or the game won't read it. 

For example, last time I had to send him the save file I sent him game.rxdata and 780 - Pili - 81h 18m - 9 badges.rxdata, won't work without both files
