[Town Wins!] Danganronpa: Life Keeps Killing Mafia

Mafia? What is that? (Credits to Mazino Divergent)

Mafia is a social deduction game which requires analyzing, cooperation, and looking through lies. There are two main factions in a mafia game: the Uninformed Majority [Town], who have to find others of their kind while hunting for the mafia, and the Informed Minority [Mafia], who have a private chat and plan there on how they should trick the town and whom they should kill.
 
At the beginning of the game, players receive a PM or a DM (in some cases) with their role and alignment.
 
There are two major phases in a Mafia game:
 
(1) The Day Phase – Typically lasting 48 hours , players use this opportunity to discuss about several things, which may include the outcome of the previous phases, behavior of players, and flow of the game; the ultimate goal in the day phase is for the Town players to find the Mafia slowly while Mafia players have to blend in carefully. Before the day ends, players must vote for a player whom they want to be eliminated on grounds of suspicion and the player receiving the most votes will be eliminated. (Or in this case, executed.)
 
(2) The Night Phase – Typically lasting 24 hours, the thread is considered “locked” at this point and players may not comment at all. Instead, players with night actions, special abilities related to their role, may use these to aid their faction. The Mafia also discusses in the private chat on whom to dispose of.
 
The game continues until one of the major factions attains their win condition or unless it is no longer possible.

 

The Factions in this killing game:

The Spotless - The uninformed majority. they try to stay alive in the killing game and escape the school! Their job is also to eliminate all the blackened.

 

The Blackened - The informed minority. They know eachother's identity, They try to eliminate all the spotless around the school to cause ultimate despair.

 

Ultimate Programmer - The Ultimate programmer has their own win condition and is on neither side.

 

The roles of this Killing Game:

Spotless: 

- Makoto Naegi - Once in the game, Makoto Naegi can choose to override another lynch, and push it on someone else. Everyone will be notified of this action.

 

- Aoi Asahina - Every Night, Aoi Asahina can choose a target. That person will be protected from death. However, she also roleblocks the person she protects.

 

- Byakuya Togami -  Byakuya Togami thinks of himself as Sayaka Maizono. However, when he gets visited at night, it will be publicly announced who visited Byakuya.

 

- Hifumi Yamada - When Hifumi Yamada perishes, he can choose one player and expose their identity at his death.

 

- Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Once Taka begins talking, he won't stop, and it annoys a lot of people, even the blackened! The first kill attempt on Kiyotaka will fail. He'll just talk them their ears off!

 

- Kyoko Kirigiri - Kyoko Kirigiri has plenty of experience in the field of finding criminals. She can target someone at night and learn their alignment.

- Leon Kuwata - Leon has a vengeful nature. Once the blackened try to eliminate him, he will stay alive and join their side instead. The mafia will be notified of this.

 

- Mondo Owada - Every Night, Mondo Oowada can choose a player and eliminate them.

 

- Sakura Ogami - Sakura is strong, but cares about her friends. She would die for them. Everyn night she can pick a target to protect. However, when her target is targeted, she dies. She also takes her attacker down with her.

 

- Sayaka Maizono - While she is a pop sensation in real life, Sayaka just doesn't have much going for her here. She is just a normal high school girl with no special actions.

 

- Toko Fukawa - Toko is kind of a weird girl. She visits someone every night and gains a private chat with them for the next day and night. This ability can only be used twice and the chats take place during the following day and night.

 

- Yasuhiro Hagakure - Yasuhiro thinks of himself as Sayaka Maizono. However, Kyoko will see him as a blackened.

 

The Blackened

- Junko Enoshima - Junko is the ultimate fashionista, therefore she is able to dress herself and disguise herself well. She can select a player at night and appear as their role upon death and on investigation results.

 

- Monokuma - The Mascot Bear. Cute, and he knows it. He visits someone every night and prevents them from doing their role.

 

- Mukuro Ikusaba - Mukuro is a master of disguise.. sort of. She will be seen as town on investigation results.

 

- Celestia Ludenburg - The Queen of lies. She can at night frame someone for a crime, however small. Her target will show up as blackened on investigation results.

 

Ultimate Programmers

- Chihiro Fujisaki - Chihiro has created Alter Ego, an AI of herself. However, she is really not confident about herself, and would rather die than live. She wins if lynched.

 

- Alter Ego - An AI program created by the ultimate programmer. He can choose two players at night 1. They will be in love for the rest of the game, and need to survive together to win the game. The lovebirds will be notified of this.

 

Rules of the killing game:

(1) The Reborn Forum rules apply here.
 
(2) All Player Discussion must be kept in the thread; mandated special private chats may also be utilized. Other forms of contact outside of these such as Private Chats without the Host’s permission, IRL contact, and other methods are not allowed.

 

(3) Day Phase lasts for 24 hours. Players must make at least 2 posts and vote per day phase. Failure to meet this requirement for two day phases (even non consecutive) will result in replacement or mod intervention.
 
(4) Voting is done in the format: [Execute] Player Name or in similar formats. Changing of votes may be done in this format: [Unvote] Player Name. All votes must be placed in bold or they are not counted. In the case of a tie in votes, both persons will be lynched.
 
(5) Night Phase lasts for 24 hours. Players are not allowed to comment in the thread. Violation of this rule will result in warning (1st offence) and disqualification (2nd offence).
 
(6) Sharing of Role PMs – through screenshots, verbatim copying, or other forms – to other players is illegal. Consequences will be given to violators.
 
(7) Actions – day or night – should be sent to me via PM (Forums) or DM (Discord).
 
(8) Editing of posts is discouraged. If you have minor corrections, you may do so, but if you wish to have additions, you must make a new post or quote your previous post if you wish to highlight the addition.
 
(9) Respect the host and other players! Have fun!

Prologue:

Monokuma: Welcome students! In this new and improved killing game, we will live in this school! Until someone decides to *kill* someone, that is. That's right, if you want to leave this school, you have to KILL another student!

Junko: K-kill someone? W-we can't do that, right? You're joking right? There's no way anyone of us is going to do that!

Aoi: She's right! No one of us will kill anyone! We won't bow down to your threats!

Monokuma: So. Annoying! But that's fine. We'll see who has the last laugh, girlie. Let the games begin!

 

Some important things you should note:

- Abstaining is allowed only the first 2 days. 

- Day phases are 52 hours long, night phases last 24 hours.

The protagonist should also send a name every night on who the next protagonist should be, in case the current protagonist perishes. If you send no name, then the new protagonist will be randomized! Since there haven't been any murders, there obviously won't be an execution yet!
