CodeCass
So I understand Ability Capsules are able to change a Pokémon's Ability with ease, but I've got a question: How is it determined what the new Ability will be after using a capsule? I'm wanting to give my Arcanine "Intimidate" instead of "Justified". Is it a random chance as to what the new ability will be, or is it already pre-determined somehow? I wasn't sure if it was something I could soft-reset to get what I'd like or not. I ask because when I tried to change my Magneton's "Analytic" to "Sturdy", it always and only seemed to want to change to "Magnet Pull" no matter how many times I soft-reset the game. Not sure if it was pre-determined or if I was just unlucky. Thanks for any and all help as always folks!
Swampellow
Pokemon Abilities are essentially "labelled" #1, 2, or 3 (for Hidden Abilities). In Reborn (and Rejuv) Ability Capsules just cycle the ability to the next one in the cycle, so 1 -> 2, 2 -> 3, 3 -> 1. Magnetons #1 Ability is Magnet Pull, and its #3 Ability is Analytic, so you will have to use 2 Ability Capsules on it if you want Sturdy, because Sturdy is its #2 Ability.
